Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Dawson Creek – 2024

A great recommendation for a cool place to eat. Cool atmosphere good food and a good selections of bevies. The service was perfect and friendly atmosphere. Definitely a go back when I’m in Dawson again.

Great place to eat, drink & watch sports. The Staff were very friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar to watch Hockey game. We had their nachos - very very good. Some of the best I've had

We had a nice time and the atmosphere was pretty chill. I've been wanting to come here for a long time so when an opportunity arose to get together with some friends from other cities and towns we decided to go here. Management is very kind and professional. They want to make sure you are satisfied with your dining experience at their establishment. Definitely in my Dawson Creek top 5.

I have been to this establishment for 2 weeks now. Food is decent and the staff are great. Hours are good. It would be nice to see food that is considered more basic and simplified for those who just like something simple and quick. I don't mind the food but it does seem a little bit different to my liking at times. Definitely not in a negative way. The cook/chef is good. May not get the steak to the correct degree required for perfection but its good. Staff are great. I would highly recommend the restaurant to those who enjoy a variety of different dishes and tastes. The waitresses work hard to correct situations that may not be 100% and are forthright and gracious to make things great. Thank you Chloe for everything you've done and hope all the best. I'm pleasantly surprised with the staff today and welcome anybody to try out Solo's and enjoy the upbeat atmosphere and good food. Thanks again Solo's.

It wasn't a busy night very nice. The music is a little loud. The food was very tasty. My steak was over cooked but I ate it anyway. It was smothered in mushrooms and perfectly seasoned. The taste was so good it seemed a shame to send it back. The vegetable kabab was perfectly seasoned and eldante in texture. My wife enjoyed the flavours of her meal too. The waitress a pleasant young lady who checked on us frequently and at appropriate timing. The ice tea was huge, we were offered refills but we didn't need them. The deserts were also very good. Bonus star earned for plastic staws.

We celebrated my aunt’s birthday at this restaurant. The food is awesome, and the portions are huge—definitely worth the price. The waitstaff is friendly as well. Thanks to Chef Arlan for the delicious food, as always! xx

Great service. Very clean. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. There is a secret kids menu, which you can see online, otherwise you will have to ask your server, as it’s not shown on the regular menu. We will certainly be back when we are in Dawson Creek. Family of 5 August 5, 2025

Went with some friends and wasn’t overly interested in the menu but I decided on the beef dip. it was average at best and super small sandwich, like a small Tim Hortons one in the photo is half so two of those. Ordered 3 beers as well and got charged for 4 im pretty sure. Beef dip costs 24.5$ and was a joke paid 70$ in total for a few beers and a sandwich. Good atmosphere and that’s about it wouldn’t waste my money here again for something that average. Defiantly better places. The drinks are great tho I gotta say. Also had the gyozas which were average and over priced for a few on a plate.

the food was good but honestly the price i paid for the fries i expected there to be more than twenty on a plate lol. The nachos were good, hell everything was average good. Just over priced

By far the best place in Dawson to eat lunch or dinner at, my husband and I came here tonight for dinner and it was amazing. The orange float and the milk shake was very delicious, the Caesar Salad was good and also a decent size, our meal was so tasty that we were both full half way, and the home made pie was the best I have ever had yum. Service was amazing and fast :) thank you again. We will definitely be coming back here.

Such a fun place and we accidentally came across it! The decor is fun, the waitress we had was so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Their fries are really great. We will definitely stop here again and can’t recommend it enough.

Stopped in for breakfast on my way through town, Good food, good service, good environment would highly recommend! Had the Big Bopper with 3 Eggs, bacon & ham, has browns, toast and a big pancake.

Well the food was surprisingly good. Service was top notch. Very nice set up. Quite and elegant. I was under the impression by reading other reviews reservations were required. However I had no issues getting a seat. Jambalaya was excellent. Very impressed with everything. I will definitely be back.

Oh my, never heard of Yorkshire Pudding & I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was! Server was very friendly, attentive. They have TVs inside if you wanted to watch sports. Casual, comfy setting inside & very good food

So, the steak was awesome. But the halibut, which maybe we should expect I guess, was basically canned tuna consistency. Very poorly cooked, even if previously frozen, I can cook at home and I’m a horrible cook. However, the Caesar salad appears to have homemade dressing. However, apparently for 15 Canadian you get the tiny side salad pictured- again, maybe that’s the going rate here. Edit: The Halibut is so dry we threw it away. That’s from someone who eats all fish - I’m not picky. When you can’t swallow it however that complicates things. Second edit: we got the brownie for desert- we got literally crumbled dry bits in a box - please see the picture. Pretty crazy. Definitely not at all worth the price overall.

food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the pho, boba and bbq! ❤️

I deleted my review and am reposting it because if you do complain, they ask for feedback over email but literally do not read what you say and spit back generic platitudes. They told me they would "review their recipes". I'll let you, the reader, decide if my review has anything to do with "recipes". I do not believe they are interested in rectifying their mistakes if they do not even read the feedback people send in emails. I sat at the bar and had intended on drinking two pints and ordering a rib eye. After the bartender essentially refused to acknowledge my existence for close to 10 minutes, the manager served me a beer. I asked the bartender for a menu and this still took ages to arrive so I decided to order sirloin bites and small bruschetta to go as it was 9pm, I hadn't eaten all day, and I at least needed something to eat. I tipped 0 dollars to the bartender as she made no effort to apologize for occupying herself with trying to close the bar an hour early instead of attending to customers. What really ticked me off was that between the time I asked for a menu and receiving one, someone else came in the bar and was served by her before I received a menu. I was polite, I was not loud or obnoxious. I am not sure why I was treated this way but I am so glad that I tipped 0 dollars because this is what my bruchetta looked like. Also 0 for atmosphere because their music is far too loud, and this is from someone who has some hearing difficulties. It should be noted that the sign on the door said they closed at 10pm, maps said they closed at 10pm, and I walked in at 8:40. I do not think I was showing up just before close.

I recently visited Mr. Mike's and had a mixed experience. While the food itself was really good, the overall experience fell short. The wait for the food was longer than expected, especially since the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. Another issue was the lighting—there are bright lights hanging low over the tables, which made it uncomfortable to look at the person across from me. All in all, the quality of the food was great, but the atmosphere and service need improvement. I’d rate it 3 stars.

Quality food and awesome atmosphere. Servers are pleasant and helpful. Menu provides lots of variety and daily specials. Specialty drinks are amazing. Check out the Peach Bellini with real Mango slices! There is a sports bar section to watch your fave team. I am a returning customer! Never disappointed.

Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I Highly recommend the Pork Ribs, Spicy Pork Sisig, and Salmon Steak. Hands down, some of the best food I've had recently at Flavours 8! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way.

Great place to get some delicious tasting food. A wide variety of different food you can choose from. The filipino is very authentic and tastes great. You will not be disappointed with stopping in here to try something. The service is very friendly, fast food service. Highly recommend

I was passing through for work, had to kill some time until parts were able to be picked up. This place came up on google with lots of great reviews! The service was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food was quick, hot and fresh. I love trying new foods so the server recommended what I ordered and I was NOT disappointed. I will definitely be back. Amazing place for family aswell. If you’re coming through Dawson be sure to check this place out you will not be disappointed

Just amazing friendly and professional service, your drinks will be out in less than two minutes, your breakfast will come out before you have time to even really look at your phone while you wait. Ate here every morning while staying at the travel lodge and can't say anything bad about it. Great experience,food and service.

My family and I stayed at the Travelodge this place is attached to and were so excited to see the authentic Filipino menu. It was so delicious, we had to resist ordering the entire Filipino menu. Do yourself a favor and pop in here for lunch or dinner. The dessert, halo-halo is a wonderful treat too!

I visit Sam's every so often. Great staff, many of which know me by name with my involvement in the Filipino community here in town. Great food, fresh and hot and very delicious. I recommend the Brunch Special or the Farmers Sausage and Eggs or the Waffles. I've only been here for dinner once so it's hard to review their lunch or dinner menu items. As far as breakfast goes it's one of the best in Dawson Creek.

Great food on smorg. Eat there usually once a week. Lunch or Dinner. I would like to see a few items rotate daily for lunch and dinner. Staff is very friendly and like to joke around a little. Don't forget to say hello to Norman the turtle when you come in the door. I only gave three stars for atmosphere because they could use a update

We ordered from the Chef's Special menu.. Seafood mix with vegetables.. pan fried dumplings and sizzling beef with black bean sauce. All excellent. However. we also ordered the scallops and never got them. We got takeout honey garlic pork for hotel snacking.. and got some weird mystery meat that appeared to be doused in ketchup. The service was puzzling as we had to ask for plates and chopsticks. And no serving spoons! I know that most Northerers like buffets.. but never assume about people.We like a la carte! The dishes we did get were beautifully seasoned.the beef sizzled! Juicy scallops.. succulent prawns and mussels on the half shell in a delicate sauce with vegetables. Clean up the service.and this would be worth the drive from where we are from!. .

I read a lot of the bad reviews and I guess most of the issues were fixed. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the food is good. The soup was excellent, the portions are huge we took half of our meals home.

Food and service are 5 stars for sure, I gave the atmosphere 5 stars not so much as dine in atmosphere but the cleanliness of the front area. Great staff very friendly and the pizza also great. I have not tried alot of pizza in the local area however I have lived in a few different cities so I like to think I know a good pizza when I taste it.

I think I just found my new favourite pizza place!! Ordered a half and half taco pizza and Canadian pizza. Both kinds of pizza are so delicious with flavour and fresh!! I’ll definitely be back to try more of your different kinds of pizza

Heard through people how good the pizza is and decided to give it a try and was amazing. Pizza came hot and had lots of toppings plus oozing with cheese. Crust was great and tasty. Pizza was delicious. if you’re looking for a new pizza place in town, give them a try as it won’t disappoint

I order their Buffalo chicken poutine and the Tokyo beef poutine, quite often and the quality is always there in taste and appeal, it always looks so fancy ☺️ I was suggested the Tokyo beef one by several coworkers and now it's one of my regular orders it's usually Ruman who makes sure my orders all there and they do a fantastic job because it always it ☺️

There is no sauce in the crispy chicken box. If you are ordering any food for the first time, ask them if the rice comes with any wet curry or gravy or sauce.

Haven't been to Wok Box for years, and it was worth the wait. Stopped by on the Grand Opening weekend when certain items were on sale. I ended up ordering the teriyaki box with noodles. The combo comes with 2 spring rolls and a drink. The meal was very delicious and fresh, I love it when places make things fresh from order. Definitely work checking out if you haven't already

Flew in for a late lunch and were told they were closed due to a staffing issue, however, once we said we had called to check they would be open, they invited us in and made sure we left very full. Great service, tasty food and varied menu! We will be back, can’t wait to try a fly in breakfast!

I have very conflicted feelings about my experience. The flavor was there with the potential of being a wonderful meal. But I spent alot of money to not get what I ordered. Ribeye steak, rare. Neither of which I received. A chunk of round steak cooked well done. Do not recommend

Had the bison burger with fries, first time trying bison for me, was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is also quiet and quaint, overall a great experience, and a big change of pace from the usual day-to-day.

My boyfriend and his friend has been suffering from food poisoning, they ordered food two days ago and has been ill since. You guys need to practice better safe food handling..its not the first time. will never eat here again

A very good restaurant in Dawson creek. It is located close to the Dawson creek mall. It is an urban restaurant with modern decor and good lively music. Menu is very well balanced with something for everyone. We tried fish and chips, drunken noodles, lettuce wrap, chicken wings, everything tasted very good. They have a good drinks menu as well. Good service and we had great time there. I would definitely recommend this place for nice food and drinks.
