Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Dalton – 2024

The food is great. You have to try the juicy special sauce on your seafood. There’s nothing better! It’s a lot like other seafood places but the service sets it apart. We’ve been to quite a few and a lot of servers act like you're bothering them. Our server, Mariah, is amazing. We loving coming here to eat and we always request to sit in her section. She always wearing an infectious smile. The atmosphere is great. Every time we come here, it’s not a rush type busy but they are running around. We come back at least twice a month. They also have boba on the menu so if you’re looking for your milk tea fix locally, give this place a try. Love this place! Give it a try!

First the good…. Good service and the atmosphere is stellar. The bad…. The food. Based on reviews we figured we couldn’t go wrong try this restaurant. Raw oysters had a very unpleasant taste. I don’t want to say they were “bad”, but the taste lingered throughout the meal after only eating one. Typically, oysters are my favorite seafood. The waitress noticed we didn’t eat them and took them off the bill even after telling her that wasn’t necessary. My wife decided not to order anything other than a salad after the oyster experience I had, so she decided on Cajun fries and a garden salad. See photos. The garden salad was 60% egg and she didn’t eat that either. My young son and I ordered seafood boils with lobster tails, snow crab, shrimp, potatoes, and corn. The crab was overcooked and very difficult to get out of the shell, also had a “swampy” taste. My son ate his crab, I did not eat mine. We both ate the shrimp bud had to dab all the Cajun seasoning off because it was overwhelmingly salty. The lobster tails were decent. Everything had a “Chinese buffet” taste and texture including the chicken wings. That being said, I like Chinese buffet wings but not for the price as sold in this establishment. Nothing about this experience made much sense because the reviews we read were generally filled with praise. We were discussing this when my wife pointed out the sign on the edge of the table stating a discount for leaving a positive review and photo of your food!!!! It all makes sense now! Grrrr, that shady business makes me angry!

What a fantastic and delicious meal! Not to mention, even better service. Dallas, our server, did a great job in making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. My husband and I were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and it was perfect. Of all the restaurants to choose from, since we had eaten here several times and were very pleased, we wanted to go again and boy, are we glad we did! The food, service and atmosphere was phenonomenal and it made a special occasion even more special. The wonderful manager came to our table, too. Thanks for all you do! We even bought their seasoning to use at home, but we will definitely be back!

I usually steer clear of chain restaurants but this was better than I expected. I didn’t leave mad. The only thing was the sweet tea kinda sucked and the oyster Rockefeller was kinda creamier/cheesier than other places I’m not really complaining it’s just my thought. but other than that I’m happy. I’d eat here again especially if I wanted wings and beer. Very nice !

Aw, we stopped in here randomly on Halloween night at dusk; we ended up having a lot of fun! Our waitress, Jessica, was very engaging and made recommendations off the menu. Everything we ordered was great! Especially impressed with the cheeseburgers… huge homemade patty and we appreciated the Halloween Kids Costume promo. This will be our new place to sit and watch the trains. What a great location for rail fans!

This was the worst Jefferson's experience I have ever had. First, they no longer have fried oysters. They have several other types of oysters, but no fried. The service was probably the slowest I have ever experienced anywhere. I am going to be charitable and say that I think our waitress was new. She came back multiple times to ask about what we ordered. She would wait about 10 minutes between each return trip. We had been there an hour and still received no food. Finally, I got up to find someone else. Another waitress finally went to find our food. When we got it, the order was wrong. By that time, I wasn't about to try to get it corrected. I also had to go and hunt down steak sauce after asking for it 3 times. I will go back, because I have had better experiences at other Jeffersons. I don't know if I will go back to this location.

Let me start by saying this place is a good southern cooking buffet restaurant. The food is always very tasty every time I have gone. The ONLY reason I'm giving it a 4 star and not 5 is because they never offer any kind of meat that isn't fried. I guess Southern Food is all about fried food, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to throw some grilled chicken out there, at least for the salad. The restaurant is kept very clean, and the bar is usually very appealing to eat from. I know some buffets who don't keep up the bar, but that is definitely not the case here. They do a magnificent job of that. The service is very welcoming and helpful. Overall, I should give this place a 5, but there are minor dietary options they should add to their bar, in my opinion. In the meantime, if you want fried southern food, this is your place. For one adult person to eat will cost you $16.04.

The food was good. The mashed potatoes was my favorite. Chicken was a little dry but it could of been because it was 30 minutes before closing time. The cashier could be welcoming & friendly. The other staff was friendly. We will be back.

This is such a cute local spot with eclectic gas station decor. It’s buffet style and affordable. Think southern Baptist church dinner! You have your couple of meats and 15 veggies and sides—not to mention a variety of cakes and pies. The staff were very friendly, too.

Good customer service. The restaurant was too dark inside for the time of day—the mood was set to “pub after dark” at 1:30 PM. I did not try the buffet but noticed that it’s pretty tiny. What I liked was that the beans had a Dominican flavor. Great flavor. The red snapper was good—tasty hot pepper. The juices are decent but too sweet. The chicharrón de pollo is decent. It’s not the Dominican recipe. The mofongo or mangú was flavorful. However, the texture was way off. It was too dry. High five for the garlic flavor! It could do with a drizzle of olive oil in the mix to loosen it up. —What I didn’t like. The alcapurria and empanada. The alcapurria tasted as if it was fried in old oil or the meat that sat in its fat for too long. It wasn't enjoyable. The empanada was very dry. That, too, tasted as if it wasn’t fresh. I paid over $65 for two people. Would I go back? I usually give people a second chance. But I'm not sure. Maybe it’s because I expect better from an establishment flying and flags and the fact that I’m not eager to eat anything made with old oil or meat filling that tastes like pernil sitting in old fat. Usually, a “hole-in-wall” has more of an authentic flavor. But let’s see. EDIT: I called to explain my post and boy did I get an earful as soon as I mentioned my name followed by “Google review.” This is restaurant is located in the “slum” part of Dalton. The food is highly overpriced and the taste overrated. I can go to Red Lobster, Olive Garden, or Chili’s and pay less than $65 for 2 meals and sides—cooked in CLEAN OIL. Would I go back? Not even if it’s the last surviving restaurant. Why? One can ALWAYS tell the type of person or employee you have to be weary about by their unprofessional public response. This woman is the type that will spit in your food or pick up food that fell on the floor and put it on your plate if she doesn’t care for you. I’ve seen these types in action. #Disgusting.

The food was tasty. Flavors were very nicely blended together. Very affordable for great quality. The drinks were really good too. Immediately when we got there we ordered our food from the steam table (already made food) because we were too hungry to order from menu and wait. The service also was really good. We loved it and we will come back soon to try the plate from the menu specially the Fried Red Snapper Fish and theirs Mofongos. We also tried two desert and were awesome.

The address is fake. There is another restaurant called Little Cesar's. when I found the place of the picture is located like 1 Mile away and is permanently closed. UPDATE: There really is a need to respond to a review in such an aggressive way. The address you have on Google is false, update it and I can improve the review. Do you understand I'm doing you a favor?

First time at Cherokee Brewing + Pizza Company even though I’ve been to Dalton Brewing several times. The place has a ton of bar seating, nice mojo, and a very friendly and attentive staff. I did not order any pizza so this is purely a beer review. I had an in-house Oktoberfest and a Double IPA while here (they have lots of guest taps as well); both were solid for their style. The beer is enjoyable but not quite 5-stars for me. Each house beer only cost $5.50 a piece, which is a great deal with how expensive craft beer has gotten in these times. I’ll come back again to try the food and order more in-house beer and if all goes well I’ll give this place another star.

Dinner was great here from the warm bruschetta to the pizza it was all amazing. I got the Hot Mess Chick which had sun dried tomatoes, pesto, smoked chicken and 2 cheeses. So good! A fresh wine icy and a soft drink to wash it down. Live music played some great popular music too.

Really good pizza. Great beers. Mozzarella wedges were good. Had a bit of a time finding this place though. It's on the side of the building facing parking lot. Young dark haired waitress had an attitude problem.

One of my favorite spots to come grab a bite to eat! The food never disappoints! Everything I have tried has been amazing! The atmosphere is great! You can come with friends to hang out or with your family! The owners are amazing and always so friendly! I can't recommend this place enough!

We had the shrimp a la diabla and a chicken taco. The crab salad alone will take us back to this restaurant. The portions are plentiful and delicious! The service was on point too.

Quality food, great service and an awesome atmosphere! You can tell each menu item was individually designed and the recipes are authentic. The staff is not only prompt but they go above and beyond what a typical staff does. This is my favorite place to go downtown where I can enjoy a nice meal with my daughter and bring our dog along. We like to eat here at least once a week for dinner.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and he loved it! We had been about a year ago, and we haven’t been since then, but it’s just as good as the first time we went there. The service is very friendly. It’s a small restaurant, but I think that’s what makes it so nice, it’s not too crowded. The cheese curds were VERY delicious and we absolutely LOVED the beer battered onion rings. My boyfriend got the Turkish coffee, and it came on the cutest little serving tray. He absolutely loved the coffee. I’m a very picky eater, but I took a few bites of my boyfriends entree, which was the “Beef Shawarma Wrap” and loooved it. It had a unique taste and was seasoned well. Our appetizers came with Spicy Sauce, and we ordered an extra cup of Ostro sauce. Both were very good, but mixed together, they were perfect. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and we can’t wait to come back, from the customer service, to the atmosphere, to the good food, all was good.

I brought my sons out on a Thursday night. We had never tried Mediterranean food before and asked the server for suggestions. She was amazing and provided amazing service!!!! I wish I knew her name but she made sure that we had an amazing experience and even brought us out complimentary dishes for us to try. The food was awesome!!!! We will be coming back soon all the way from Atlanta! Thanks you guys for an amazing experience and food

Our company buys lunch every week. We have 2 large orders that are picked up and paid for inside. This particular day, Cafe Ostro was quite busy so they overlooked a couple of items we ordered but did not receive. I called to report this and received awesome customer service. The owner sent me a text indicating that a rather nice refund had been added to my order. After about a week, I reported that the refund had not posted to my bank. The owner worked diligently to get this refund sent to me. It was more than I expected and he has been such a pleasure throughout the entire process. Please understand that things happen and we are only human. The point is, there was an error but the way it was handled warrants a return visit. I do recommend.

We love the 3 for me deal at Chili's! It's a great burger and you can't beat the price. The service at this location was especially good and fast. Even though we had to wait a few minutes to be seated (Saturday afternoon), it worked out well for a stop on a long road trip.

The food was good just was not hot enough. My chicken was kinda warm. As well as my girlfriend. I can't say that I frequent the establishment alot or often enough but will do better at coming here to update the review. Other than food not being as hot I would try it once more to see if it's better

Not sure if there is anything about the place that I do not like. The food is prepared well and very good for the price point. Nice and casual. Prices are almost better than fast food places with a much better quality food and offerings. The Grandkids love it, so we're sold!

Only giving a 2 because the waitress was nice and attentive. Don't order the wings!!!!! I bought 5 individually and couldn't eat 2 of them. I nicely said to the waitress " I'd really appreciate if you took these 2 off the bill because they're not edible. But the others were fine" ( they were actually tough and didn't taste good at all but I ate em so I wasnt gonna complain about those) She came back and said the cook/manager said he can't help they come like that and wouldn't take them off but would cook 2 more. Well... might need to find a new supplier because I've never in my life been served wings like that. It was hard as a ROCK. No meat and clearly half just bone. The one I did try to get meat off of was black inside...... I didnt even say anything about my son not eating his fries cuz they were bland and mushy. Id say like dollar tree frozen ones but those are probably better. Fed the other ones to my neighbors. I still tipped the nice waitress well but I'll never go back on principle even tho her service was good. * I said that in the review about the 2 wings replaced. I'm not sure why you said that but thanks? That wasn't the point. The problem is thinking it's okay to sell those.

I got the wings and couldn’t decide between the fries and onion rings so I got both! Very good food and fast service! Will definitely be back for more. This is the only place I know that has Mexican Italian and American food in one restaurant. Fire

Man these wings were huge and delicious. Great place for a cold beer as well. Mrs. Christian was an amazing server. The place is great.

The dessert was amazing! However, I found the food bland. There's not much flavor for southern cooking. The fried chicken was delicious, though. I ordered 3 sides, 1 main & 1 dessert. Red velvet yummy, the mashed potatoes weren't that great, green beans were stringy, and the deviled eggs were ok. The workers are all very polite and helpful. The bathrooms weren't that clean, but the dining area itself was clean. Overall, I loved the service, but I wasn't impressed by the food. There is plenty of parking, and the place seems pretty busy for the most part. They do have a drive thru for quick orders. We ate inside and probably only took 20-30 mins all together. Super fast service.

I haven’t lived in the area for ten years but I remember really enjoying the food here. I went today and the food is not good at all anymore. It has no flavor. Mashed potatoes are instant, Mac and cheese tasted watery, cornbread was cold and bland… overall it wasn’t good and I won’t be back. I only gave two stars because the workers were very pleasant.

Pleasantly surprised. Really good lobster meal, fast service, nice waitress, no wait. We will be back.

The shrimp scampi and dragon shrimp were delicious. The waitress was attentive and kept our glasses filled to the rim. I ordered sweet tea to drink and it was perfect; not too sweet. It’s a quick stop off the interstate.

Hannah provided great service today. Constantly refilling my beverages and always asking if I was ready for more shrimp. Zane is also great when I come to, always get the best service when I come here.

I love the steak biscuits they are like the ones I grew up eating everything was hot and fresh fast and quick service nice place for a home cooked meal on the road

Great atmosphere Bacon was alittle too burnt for me, but if you like it crispy it's for you! The lady when I ordered my OJ said I'll be back with that right away, she didn't come back for 15mins and without OJ, so I won't be ordering that again.

Decent little diner. We were getting our KIA serviced across the street so we ate lunch here while we waited. Great service and prices. The place is pretty clean too unlike a lot of small town diners. We both had the club sandwich which was fairly small but fine for the price. Certainly all that we needed. Fries seemed like they were the standard crinkle cut frozen ones and not great. Overall pretty good. We’d definitely stop again if stuck at the KIA dealership again.

Cheese burger fries are incredible and vegan. They offer lots of options but the desserts were not to my taste. They have lots of cool vegan health items near the register. Your order at the counter and they will bring the food to you.

If you're ever in Dalton, GA, eat here. There is something here for everybody. Vegan and vegetarian options aplenty. I have really enjoyed all the dishes I've tried here too. The Y'all Nachos and the Maple Donuts are probably my favorites. I'll definitely be back for more.

Absolutely love this place! So glad we found it. We enjoyed the Y’all Nachos with their homemade potato chips and their Superpower Bowl. Native kitchen is nestled inside the Old Mill in Dalton, GA. They offer plenty of Gluten-Free, Vegan and other meat dishes and entrees! You will not be disappointed!

After a dr Appt yesterday, mom and I went to Cyra’s in Dalton. And it was amazing. Beautiful location. Food was exquisite. And our server, Brody, was amazing. Calamari was perfect. The bread was fresh and the herb oil with it was perfect. My crispy chili shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the grits were best I have had.

Our friend recommended us we did not know a reservation was recommended but since they had tables available they sat us down. We went for lunch the food was really delicious and there avocado pesto was really good! Our waiter was really friendly and they were on top of our needs. It's a really fancy place, some of the food can be pricey but it was worth it.

9/24 edit On this date it was my birthday and my wife and second from the youngest daughter and her fiance treated me to dinner. This is our go-to place in Dalton for high-end fine dining and it's never disappointing. This evening I had the chef special blackened flounder with lobster crab sauce, and asiago grits. The flounder was cooked absolutely perfect, it was glistening and tender and the seasonings were spot on. The grits were creamy and tender and the sauce...... Just a perfect bite every time. Instead of the primary dining room, we were seated in an area of the bar connected to them through the patio called JD's. It has a masculine cocktail bar feel to it, but it is well furnished and quite inviting. The ambiance was quite relaxing. 11/23 It was our middle daughter's birthday so we decided to give her and her husband a treat. It has been some time since the last time we were there, and they have done remodeling it seems and the ambiance and decor were very relaxing and intimate. They also have a new chef, who is in his third month and he is putting up spectacular dishes. For appetizers we had a half dozen raw Cape cod boomamoto oyster platter, and fried green tomatoes with goat cheese and a jalapeno aioli. I ordered the butter poached lobster and risotto. The lobster was flaky and cooked perfectly, and the risotto was al dente perfection. The wife ordered the half rack of lamb vindaloo demi, serve over mashed potatoes. She said " flavorful tender juicy cooked to a perfect mid rare" Our daughter ordered the jambalaya pasta and said " The fresh pasta and the spices had a little bite, but it was so good" Our son-in-law had the 12 ounce ribeye cooked mid rare and said " I'll never look at another steak the same way again" The food was delicious. Our server Wilson was professional, informative and attentive without being overbearing. They also have an outdoor seating area that looks beautiful in the evening with the lights. Plenty of parking on the street, and the restaurant is clearly marked. I highly recommend this place for relaxing delicious dinner.
