Excellent restaurant in downtown. The food was amazing. We ordered a Korean fried chicken sandwich and beef with mushroom and brie which were both delicious The fries were very crispy and soft and fluffy on the inside. Really good. The Caesar salad was also pretty good. All items and sides were 10/10 honestly. Will definitely recommend. We came in around 7pm on a August sunday and the place was about half full. Service was pretty good. Server was friendly and quick. Didn't experience any slowness like some other comments say.
This restaurant has a very authentic vibe with some fun fusion dishes. Building the appetite with some good Mexican food, the taste buds were headed over to the Japanese soba noodles, and the delight didn’t end as the ambience is unique within and outside this restaurant in a very cute little town. Loved the exquisite painting collection too!
Was at The El for the first time a few days ago. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and delicious food. Shared truffle fries, a Korean dish and tacos. All of which were a hit. Highly recommended and will be back.

Nestled in the beautiful Northumberland countryside just north of Cobourg is a hidden gem @nheightsretreatspa where you can experience an incredible and delicious meal at their restaurant Xperience ( they offer breakfast ; lunch; tea and dinner) as well as spa treatments; yoga and various therapies. You can enjoy a day spa package; overnight and other packages to explore the area. In summer there is a beautiful patio which overlooks Lake Ontario. If you’re looking for a nice break in your day it’s a perfect destination.
The Xperience was truly an experience for the taste buds! The food was great and the service was superb. Not much more to say as your palate need to have journey and that Penny's service was excellent. ALSO, for an establishment that's adjoined to a spa, ambience is a must and it is giving.
The Xperience was a five star experience A delicate indian fusion cuisine perfect for this unreal place The location is aprox 15 minutes far away from the village but you are in paradise ! The service is very personalized and our waiter was incredible : a jewel in this frenetic world I had a Niagara rose winery wine that i really liked, a chickpea salad very good and a tasty bowl with lot of vegetables well well done !!! Dessert was excellent The portion are very generous I loved the dinner amd my soul is perfect in this place

We were surprised at how large the restaurant was! We visited for breakfast Sunday morning and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was quite delicious! I ordered the Mexican Omelette which was tasty and their sauce was a great pairing, wished I asked for more! And their home fries were cooked exactly how I like it. My partner order the breakfast poutine and given all the meat and hollandaise it wasn't salty at all. We will be back!
We loved our experience at Grandma's Kitchen! We were traveling with a child who had a severe allergy and the ladies manning the front were so helpful and attentive in making sure there were things on the menu that he could eat (turns out his favourite was fries!) and spent extra time making him feel welcomed at the restaurant. We had the Grandma's Big Breakfast which was two large plates of breakfast food with super fluffy pancakes as well as crispy home fries, and the Grandma's Double California burger which was also so large that we put a patty to the side and it was still filling. All in all, we loved the food at the restaurant, but it was the attentive service that we would definitely return for.
Stopped by for a late breakfast/early lunch. My fiancés hash was good, he had no complaints. My “homemade” soup was clearly PC Italian Wedding Soup from a can - there was more water added and tasted like a scoop of chicken broth powder added. I eat this soup all the time and know exactly how it looks and how the meatballs taste. The restaurant looked tired/old and the bathrooms made me feel like I was in a bar, back in university. The service was excellent (other than being told it was homemade soup) and the prices were decent; so, that’s why I gave this restaurant 3 stars.

I've known the owner for years! Great man! And his food is to die for! People travel from all over just for his food. All of you fried chicken lovers, this chicken is probably way better than your favorite fried chicken place, by far! Let us know what you think!
First time at this off the beaten path BBQ joint, where everything is so fresh. Had lean brisket sandwich, Southern fried chicken and fries. Chicken was so juicy, skin was so crisp. And then we saw the milkshakes, which looked amazing.
Stopped by for a late afternoon lunch. Couldn’t decide what I wanted so tried the brisket sandwich and the southern fried chicken. The brisket was nothing special. Not a lot of smoked flavour and I wasn’t a fan of the house white sauce. Also, cheese has no place on a brisket sandwich. However, I’m ignoring the brisket because the fried chicken was sooooo good. Unbelievably juicy while still being super crispy. Among the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The fries were really good - fresh cut and perfectly cooked, and an enormous portion even though only a side. And to top it all off, the real unexpected treat was the cornbread. Now I love cornbread, but so few places do it right, and Yorkie’s is definitely in that small group. The cornbread was moist and flavourful, yet still with that crumble that is unique to true cornbread. And the piece was gigantic - 2-3 times bigger than anywhere else. All in all a wonderful meal. Will definitely be back for the chicken and will have to try the ribs. Staff was also really friendly.

Not even through my meal and I had to pause to write this review! A really good eggs benedict; the perfect hollandaise on it and the plate was a good size - not too big or small. Home fries were decent too. The cherry on top is the service. It was fast, polite, and what a great atmosphere. Glad I stopped here from off the road; would definitely come again.
Great dining experience here. Fast and friendly service in a homey environment. The pancakes were a great size and not too dense. Hearty portions and inexpensive. The hollandaise sauce was spot on. Will return if I ever find myself in Cobourg.
Over this past Thanksgiving long-weekend, on our way from the Toronto area to Montreal we decided to stop in Cobourg for a late lunch. Last time we were in Cobourg, we were looking for a breakfast restaurant and noticed a lineup for this place so we decided, “lets see if we can go there” this time. We did and it didn't disappoint. Fabulous breakfast, very nice staff and cozy interior. Coincidentally, they were offering a Thanksgiving dinner for the upcoming Monday so we booked a reservation. Good thing too as the traffic in the 401 drive back was horrendous stopping for dinner was greatly anticipated. I once again, it was fabulous. It included an appetizer option, we had the soup, main course, turkey dinner with all the fixings including a homemade warm bread roll and dessert, we both had homemade tiramisu. My only concern was not falling into a “food comma” on the way home afterwards… were we both stuffed! Sadly, I didn't think to take a picture from our breakfast (there are plenty of those on the web anyway) from the previous visit but did remember to take one at dinner on Monday just after having the soup appetizer. (probably a more rare(r) photo anyway) :-) Buttermilk Cafe will definitely be in our “where to eat” list when driving between the Toronto/Quebec corridor going forward.

Certainly not the same place it was a few years ago. Very urban style. Loved the menu for lunch. Food nicely presented and full flavour. Lovely decor. Service excellent. Would have been 5 star but had to sit at high tops and that’s difficult for older guests.
Great restaurant and the food is very tasty! Definitely one of the best restaurants we have tried this year! If you are around, the Mango Peppercorn Steak and the Thai Me Up dishes are strongly recommended
I've been to craft food house a few times now and I've always ordered the tuna and salmon poke bowl as it's always very flavorful. I highly recommend trying this place out as the food price is fair and the food is fantastic. ,

My whole family attended Cuccina on Saturday (we were 14). We all had the most amazing experience. Not only was the food fantastic, the service was impeccable. The owner served us. I am GF and she understoodthe assignment. I ordered GF cheese bread which was amazing and without having to ask she brought our regular GF bread with are lobster dip which was also fantastic. We were a big fan of this place and will definitely be going back. From food to drinks, and service I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Thank you, Cuccina for an amazing night out.
We had an awesome family dinner on a day trip to Cobourg. They were fully booked all evening but they allotted a late slot for us which we didn't mind. We ordered Grilled Calamari (cooked to perfection); Lobster Dip, Forest Pizza & Baked Salmon. Each dish was excellent. Our server was aware of our Halal Dietary restrictions and ensured our order adhered to it. The service was quick and courteous. Surely it will be our restaurant to return to if we are in Cobourg again
I was here celebrating my boyfriend's sister's birthday. The service was excellent, the music and ambiance were really nice and the food was excellent! The only problem is that the "open concept" with the wide open windows is terrible when the weather is extremely humid as it was. My boyfriend's mom said she was sticky with sweat! But the food was so great! The bruschetta was a nice light starter, and we all enjoyed our main dishes- I had a chef's special of ravioli with caramelized onions which I practically inhaled. The Angry Bee pizza was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, and the salmon was tender and flavourful. I also got an Italian Lemonade cocktail which was probably one of the largest cocktail portions I've had in my life! And our server was really wonderful, very friendly and attentive, and other people pitched in to take our plates when she was busy.

Corfu Mediterranean Grill is best described as a hole-in-the-wall Greek restaurant that offers outstanding Greek food at reasonable prices for 2024. If your looking for good food at an affordable price, and nothing more, you can't go wrong with choosing to eat at Corfu Mediterranean Grill.
My husband and I went for dinner tonight. Soooooo yummy. The lamb is cooked to perfection. I didn’t get the servers name but she was amazing. So organized with handling everything going on. Eat in orders, call in orders for take out and walk in take out orders. We will definitely be back next year when we come back to the area. The food is delicious
I have dined in this restaurant with girlfriends, family members and with my sweetheart. I keep on returning to this place because the food tastes amazing, always fresh and generous in portion size. The decor is charming and very clean. Also, the staff are so warm and hospitality. I'm always grateful that there has been a seat available. The take out counter was quite busy as well. All stars for this place!!

Attached to the hotel we are staying for a wedding. Came here for breakfast. Very reasonable priced. From $6 to $17. Very good portions. All freshly made. We had the Arthers' big breakfast sandwich, waffles and fruit, and French toast. It's a little bit of a wait, considering it is not busy at all. But it's definitely worth it for freshly made food. Staff are nice, friendly, and attentive. Would definitely come back.
We stayed overnight at the Best Western in June 2024 and had breakfast here. I had a BLT which was very tasty and I am particular about my BLTs. I love the decor in Arthur's Pub. We also had supper here the night before, but I forgot to take pictures. Apart from it being very noisy and hard to hear our table mates, the food was good and the service was great. I had a Striploin steak with Fries, one of my friends had the Coconut Shrimp which they enjoyed.
Had been looking for a “skip the dishes” kind of night so opted for burgers here at Arthur’s pub. The decor is wonderful from the outside-in, and the attention to detail is amazing! Maybe the furniture in the restaurant/pub could use a refreshing fabric change or cleaning, though. Each of us chose a burger dish, a Cobourger, a Five Napkins and a French Onion. They are amazing . The fries are very lightly salted and from fresh cut potatoes, super! Very filling dinner. One dinner had a salad and the raspberry dressing is a lovely summer compliment. There was one thing that could have been better which was the salad greens. Being more careful with these mixed greens, not serving the soggy, mushy, inedible pieces would have made this salad topped with 2 cherry tomatoes, two slices of cucumber, a sliver of red onion and that lovely raspberry dressing a five star rating. Our server, Helen was attentive although we didn’t learn her name until we had our dinner bill.

Nailed it! Having a baby today and these folks made me feel at home across the st. Amazing cooks and wait staff is most excellent! Your missing out if you don't swing by.
Food was okay. Nothing extravagant but tasty and delicious. Price point is not to bad Friendly staff. Great eats
Food was okay, service was good. It is not a safe restaurant for food allergies, especially for gluten. The gluten free pancakes are cooked in the same spot as regular ones, same waffle maker is used for gluten free or not. I had fruit, poached eggs, and gluten free toast. I don’t think there is a dedicated toaster either, and I had a reaction. So I would avoid this restaurant if you have food restrictions. The service was good, and their jam is great.

We had our Wedding at The Mill in October. We chose this venue for its size, food, atmosphere and location. It did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. Stephanie and her staff made sure our day went off without a hitch. We would highly recommend the Mill for such occasions.
I will edit the review after we have a do over. The usual manager had been on vacation the week of our reservation. Once they were back they reached out to us and have asked for a chance to correct the experience. Much better this time around. We enjoyed the food and ambiance. Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. I loved the pear gin drink I ordered. Our server was lovely, attentive without hovering. She is a full five star for service. The only drawback was some issue with payment but we got it sorted.
Amazing! I had my wedding at The Mill in August 2023, and we had the most incredible experience from start to finish. The location was perfect, and the restaurant, pub, lounge and golf course are beautiful and well suited our needs. Stephanie and Katie were amazing to work with, easy to communicate with and truly made my wedding visions come alive! On the night of, the staff was fantastic, food was amazing and the day ran so smoothly. I wouldn't change a thing and am so thankful that we have such an incredible local venue. I could go on and on. Thank you all!

Staff were so friendly and kind. I ordered western omelet and fish and chips. Those were fantastic. The amount of food was well enough.
Good breakfast / brunch options. Menu is not too big compared to other breakfast places and they offer great daily specials. Workers are very friendly and efficient.
A very hard working and friendly staff but unfortunately a disappointment in other ways. We visited on a Saturday evening when there were only a handful (literally 3) customers and it took us more than 45 minutes to get our food. When we got our food, they forgot to bring the coleslaw with the burger and forgot to bring the grilled mushrooms and onions even though that was the whole point of the burger. Once the food did arrive, as promised, it was just okay but definitely not worth the price. The waitress we had is extremely nice, caring and hard working but unfortunately it was not enough to cover for the numerous mistakes, the low quality food given the medium prices, the uninviting atmosphere next to the big road, and the time it took to make it.
CJ’s Tap and Grill is a vibrant dining destination that combines a warm, inviting atmosphere with a diverse menu designed to satisfy every palate. Located in the heart of…
CJ's is a culinary crossroads of comfort food and intriguing sights. We stumbled upon this bustling establishment, a relic of a bygone era once known as Casey's. The atmosphere was alive with activity, as families gathered around tables and servers dashed about like caffeinated squirrels. We decided to indulge in a classic burger and wing combo, which was a safe choice. While it wasn’t groundbreaking, it certainly filled our bellies. Feeling adventurous, we also tried the mushroom caps and coconut shrimp. Though the food was solid, it had that familiar, mass-produced charm. The true star of the show, however, was the service. The waitstaff worked tirelessly to ensure that every patron's needs were met. Their dedication was as impressive as a tightrope walker balancing on a high wire. That said, a word of caution for those heading to the bathroom: tread with care. While the facilities were functional, they could use a bit of TLC. Entering them felt like stepping into a forgotten era, where grime and neglect seemed to reign supreme. Now, let's talk about the real attraction: the rotisserie chicken window. It’s like a live cooking show, but instead of Gordon Ramsay, you get a bunch of chickens doing their spin cycle. It’s mesmerizing, and oddly satisfying to watch. In conclusion, CJ's offers a quirky and chaotic dining experience. If you're looking for a taste of nostalgia and a side of rotisserie chicken theatre, this place is worth a visit. Just be prepared for a bit of a mess in the bathroom.
amazing food. amazing service! such a good vibe. we will be back for many future visits.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the pleasure of dining at CJ’s Tap and Grill, and Marcus, our host, truly made the experience unforgettable! He went above and beyond to check on us multiple times and made excellent recommendations from the menu. Thanks to Marcus, our night at CJ’s was fantastic! Highly recommend asking for him when you visit!

I’ve been to George & Orange three times, and they never disappoint. Great cocktails, great food, great service, great vibes. I love how it looks like a little run down joint from the outside but as their sign at the bar says, it’s “Chill AF”.
I had dinner at George & Orange in Cobourg with my sister while on a sister getaway. It is a very small restaurant on a side street off the main street. Don't be fooled by the exterior which looks like a little burger joint. The food is very good. I enjoyed the Mushroom Tagliatelle and my sister the burger. Erin, our host and server for the evening was exceptional, making us feel very welcome. I highly recommend the George & Orange on your next visit to Cobourg.
