Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Carcross – 2024

As part of our tour from Skagway, AK, with Chilkoot Charters, in May we made a stop at Wild Adventure Yukon (formerly known as Caribou Crossing), a medium-sized tourist adventure destination. We had a delicious meal of BBQ chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, rolls, and all-you-can-eat fresh donuts. For vegetarians, there was a curry dish served over white rice instead of chicken. Ordering food was quick and convenient, done through and walk-through counter line. At Wild Adventure Yukon, there are plenty of tourist activities to enjoy, including a petting zoo, wildlife gallery, gift shop, opportunities to see mushing puppies and dogs, gold panning, and dog cart rides. While we didn't try the dog cart rides ourselves, it was fun to see the dogs eagerly vying to be chosen for the next ride—it was as if they were saying, ""Pick me, pick me!"" We had a great time exploring the petting farm and feeding the animals and shopping in the gift shop."

Enjoyed our stop at Wild Adventure Yukon. Food was excellent and hospitality even better. Museums were great and lots of animals to pet, puppies were super cute.

Good stop had the bison burger and salmon sandwich. Salmon sandwich could have had a bit more Salmon on it. But all the food was good. Great local beers are available from some breweries in Whitehorse also available. Worth the stop in if you're in the neighborhood. Enjoy!

We spent a week in the Yukon, and this was hands down the best meal we had! The Halibut fish and chips was perfect. We loved the atmosphere of the place, too. We're so happy we decided to do Carcross on our own instead of with a tour, so that we had time for a relaxing lunch here.

So happy the bistro had a vegan option of the mountain hero sandwich. The sandwich would be even better toasted. The fries were great. The chai latte with oat milk was really nourishing and a great size. The bathrooms are clean and spacious.

Canada’s Yukon Adventure Wildadventureyukon.ca I wasn’t certain what to expect here, but I was very pleasantly surprised, in fact I could have spent longer than the one and a half hours we had. The barbecue chicken was very good, washed down with plentiful tea and coffee. The doughnuts however were just amazing, and I did admit to the young man who made them earlier on in the day, that I had two!! Thank you. The museum was very interesting, in particular the RCMP part, and the video that was running in the hut in the corner, about the gold rush. The stuffed animals were amazing. So thank you to all. A great place, very friendly and welcoming, and very informative.

Interesting stop, my wife loved the the putting zoo area and the museum of stuffed animals was excellent display. The food laid on was ..... Ok.

Visited on a tour to take a ride with the mushing dogs to experience their summer activity. Fascinating. Dogs extremely excited and just bursting to work. Had a satisfying lunch here too.

I was impressed by the variety of fluffy homemade pastries. The espresso cream donut was so delicious. We also tried their fun latte flavours, including Tiramisu and Birch, which were very sweet.

We stopped in Carcross during a DIY Jeep trip out of Skagway. It’s a great place to stop to stretch your legs. I had never had a profiterolle until yesterday but it was great. The locally baked goods were a delight and just what we needed.

Fun stop with friendly staff and nice pizza and fabulous pastries

Ample parkings for cars and RVs. Neat shops from gifts to coffee. Visitor center to provide info needed. Can spend hours walking and exploring @ksnairphotography

Not a major tourist attraction but a pleasant little stop on the way to Skagway

Beautiful art and cool shops in a serene little town.
