Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Cairo – 2024

Best Mexican I had in years! Especially liked the tasty shredded chicken in my burritos; I wish I could prepare them like this. Service was fast and friendly, great prices, everything perfect! Next time I’m anywhere near I’ll make detour to come again.

This is my second trip. When alone the first time. This time there were four of us. It was obvious our server didn't care to be working or maybe he was just having a bad night. Just seemed disinterested. After we ordered the first plate came out in about 15 minutes. The second plate was another 6 minutes. The third plate was about 6 minutes and the last one took another 10. This is simply unacceptable. One of the items was listed on the menu to have beans. It came with meat. Another thing that was ordered was requested to only have beans. It was only meat (again, the kid was disinterested so wasn't paying attention). My street tacos were good just like they were last time. Iv may give them one more chance but that'll be it.

We use to love this restaurant. The food was way too salty. We usually get alambres for 2 and it would feed four of us. The past times we came to eat here the cheese dip would be really runny and taste like peanuts. Now when we get the alambres for 2 it is barely enough for one person.

This is one of the best authentic Mexican Restaurants around. I’ve never gotten anything I didn’t like, and I’ve tried almost the entire menu. The service is absolutely fantastic as well. We’ve started making it a tradition to come here every Sunday after church. My favorites and top recommendations would be the Queso Birria Tacos, Chicken Enchiladas Verdes, and Pork or Chicken Papusas. Delicious!! 10/10!

Cute little mexican restaurant. It's been my 2nd time coming and my girlfriend first time here. My gf and I had a shrimp and steak fajitas with plate of beans and rice. Chips were pretty good with cheese dips. I can see it's approving little by little with this restaurant. We will be coming back again

First visit about a year ago we thought the food was excellent. This week, not so much. Skimpy toppings, falling off -why not add another layer of cheese to hold the toppings on? I would not have known there was any cheese on it if not for a couple of orange splatters on the bread. I do like that the Supreme has ground beef instead of sausage; but I'm still hungry. Not gonna fill up on this BREAD. Order at the counter. Leave a tip? For what, exactly? You get your own drink, napkins, plasticware, and then you're expected to buss your own table?

Staff was super friendly and service was prompt. Food was delicious. The Bruschetta I was skeptical about when delivered to the table when I saw the chocolate drizzled over it and the crumbled cheese but after the first bite I was quite impressed. It tasted great and I pretty much cleared the whole board by myself. The onion rings and sauce were delicious. The pizza was great as well. So many choices to choose from on the menu. This was my first time visiting the establishment and I was not disappointed. I look forward to going back and trying other items on the menu.

We stopped by during Mistletoe Market for lunch. I ordered BBQ and cheddar with potato salad and macaroni salad. Wife ordered chicken, bacon, ranch. They were quick and food was hot, everything was delicious.

Our first time having lunch at Gate 16 Cafe. I had a Hawaiian chicken sandwich with chips. My wife had a chicken bacon ranch panini with a fruit cup. We shared a slice of cheesecake. The sandwiches came with a dill pickle spear We each had a soft drink. The drinks could have been colder. This seems to be the case at most places serving a bottle drink. The chicken salad on my sandwich was a generous serving and was very good. My wife enjoyed her panini too and mentioned how great the bacon was. Who doesn't like bacon? She also enjoyed the fruit cup. I said the serving was generous, we will have the other half sandwich for our evening meal. We enjoyed our sandwiches and going back will be an easy choice.

Shannon's cafe is a comfy little place that is great for just hanging out with good friends over a bite! The salad I had was super fresh and very yummy!! And had to splurge with a muffin too! It reminded me of a little place like on "Friends" will definitely be returning often, with or without friends! Great place to dine in or take to go!! Try it, you'll love it!!!

Took my husband there for the 1st time as I had been there before. What a big disappointment! He ordered a Greek salad...the only Greek thing on it was the dressing and feta cheese. It had wilted lettuce and "green olives" that tasted very old. We shared a toasted turkey and cheese...whoopsie the forgot the Italian dressing.....dry sandwich. The need to buy new glasses as the were quite stained up. My sprite came put looking light brown. Sorry but won't go back again.

Southern cooking at its finest. Fried pork chops were perfect .

Seafood buffet on Friday night with enough grilled and boiled shrimp and cold slaw to keep a “no-fried” diet interested… although I did eat a few lightly breaded fried shrimp.

Don't expect a fancy atmosphere but they definitely have some dang good food. Our waitresses are usually very personable! I got a waffle with chocolate chips and strawberries, they dressed it way up with whipped cream of course a side of buttery grits & a grilled biscuit Convenient hours

The food was amazing I highly recommend this place. I got the fried catfish and mashed potatoes and cream corn, my husband got cheeseburger fries. Service was great. The cook knows what he’s doing back there.

Party of 8....1 person in my party wasn't served until after everyone had eaten. Very short staffed this evening and dirty dishes piled up on counter. Wings were great!

This is a restaurant that you walk in and place your order, go ahead and pay for your food at register, get your drink, then find a table wherever you want to sit and they will bring your food to you. It was around 12:30pm and they were pretty busy. From our experience, you go back to the counter to request more drink refills. They have takeout boxes for you to grab at the end of the counter, so you can take your leftover food home. I'm sure if there is anything you need when someone walks by they will still get it for you. One of our plates consisted of fried livers and gizzards and they were some of the best around. Another plate was fried chicken, and it was pretty good. I did happen to see slices of homemade chocolate cake that had several layers at the register as we walked out to leave. It looked good.

Blandest chicken I've ever had. $20 for two 3-piece meals... Outrageous. Bland, undercooked fries, too. Paid extra for the veggie of the day, that I didn't even get. Overrated. Never going back.

It was our first time eating at Mr. Chick’s. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and a grouper sandwich. They were both delicious. We liked how light the batter was. We look forward to trying new things next time we go.

We were home for our Johnson's Family Reunion - Cairo, GA. The food was Hot and delicious. The customer service was excellent and we enjoyed the soft music and waitresses. Great Service, We will return with more family and friends! #HuddleHouseCairoGeorgia

We were welcomed right away and allowed to sit wherever we desired, the place was clean, no dirty tables. Skylar was very nice and welcoming and she remember your order without writing it down (WOW). Me and my husband drive from bainbridge to enjoy this good food and service. Shout to the cooks also!!

I really enjoyed eating here with my sister and nephew. They have delicious warm meals from breakfast to dinner. The service was great. I recommend the breakfast burrito.

I enjoyed the taco salad with chicken. Loads of chicken in ratio to lettuce and fixins. Then came back for the fried cheesecake. YUM!!!! Prices are good too. My server was friendly and courteous although she did forget my extra salsa I won’t ding them for that because the food..perfecto.

Very friendly atmosphere, food/drinks are great, and service personnel are caring. The best part is Martin and Genesis have been making this place feel like home, as we are from a big city(Phoenix). I would 1K times recommend this place for those who want to have a great time or just hang out with the family

I had a giant burrito and it was great. I thought it would be filling and heavy but somehow it was light and fluffy and so flavorful. This place is attached to the hotel I’m at but I’m so glad I stopped there. Wow. I would highly recommend it to anyone who happens to be in this area. I have zero complaints and will be eating there tomorrow again!

The staff was very friendly. They got my order wrong and I had to go back. We ordered a chicken sandwich and received a burger. They made it right and my son enjoyed the sandwich. I just wish they had payed a little more attention because I had to drive all the way back. Other than that it was great. The employees were very friendly!

Hands down the BEST french fries in Cairo! Also—Brantley’s sauce is amazing! The best dipping sauce that I’ve found. Everytime I’m in Cairo I have to get an order of fries and Brantley sauce.

I am not exaggerating when I say: Best tenders Best sauces Best coleslaw Best French fries Best sweet tea EVER!! I was in town on business, if I lived locally I would eat lunch here every day. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu thank y’all and have a great weekend.

I could have sworn my mother or one of my aunts was back there cooking. So nice to have some good old down home Southern country cooking. Dressing, fried chicken, beef tips, cream corn, fresh peas of several kinds, cornbread, ham, macaroni and cheese and I don't know how many other things I forgot. Nice salad bar, even banana pudding. Buffet all you can eat on Sunday at $13.50 how the heck could you beat that?

The people were wonderful. The food was good. The sweet tea was among the best I've ever had. We are cycling cross country to promote saveawarrior.org and this food was filling and the conversation fulfilling.

Hidden gem! Great southern cooking and a buffet to boot! Catfish, fried chicken, lima beans, collard greens, sweet potato casserole and much much more. Friendly and attentive staff. Well worth the price.

Best descripion would be a local biker bar feel. They do not serve wine. The singer they had was really good and it was not so loud that you couldn't hear people talking.

It is a cool little spot needs more space but other than that it's good. Food is good also. Can play pool and bingo there and great drinks

I have to travel to Cairo for work quite often and always go here for lunch. The food is great, prices can't be beat, and staff friendly. Go-to's are chicken salad sandwich (comes with pickle, chips, & brownie!) and the pasta salad.
