We celebrated my sister’s birthday at this South African restaurant. I would say it’s truly a gem we found. As soon as we walked in I loved the ambiance, there was a live singer on Friday evening, we got there for 6:30. There were a few tables sitting & a private room with action. Gradually, it filled up pretty nicely. We really enjoyed the food, we were surprised to know it was Houston Restaurant week so we explored that menu. We were able to enjoy 3 wonderful courses. One amazing thing about our visit besides our waiter Emanuel was that the owner, Chef Casey came to visit our table & said “Welcome Home,” he asked how we were doing & to see if we were enjoying our entrees. He spent some good time chatting with more people who patronize his establishment. That was a nice touch to add to the already great vibes! All of our food was delicious & full of flavor. I’m already plotting my return, going on a solo visit.
