Visiting Jefferson City and this restaurant was recommended to us by a local business owner, so we went in for lunch. I don’t give a ton of 5 star reviews, but the way the staff handled the situation they were in impressed me. They immediately told us before ordering that they were understaffed in the kitchen, and that food was taking a little bit longer to get out. Since we were not in a rush, this wasn’t a big deal. The food didn’t take terribly long and was very, very good we ordered the prime rib sandwich and the reuben. They put a twist on the reuben that gives is a slightly unique flavor, and it was very surprising in a good way. They again apologized for the sandwiches taking a little bit long when they delivered the food and made sure to check with us after to make sure everything was good and reiterate that they don’t normally take that long to get food out. To summarize, the atmosphere is awesome. The place has a fantastic history. The food was great, and the service was stellar.
