Took my wife out for an anniversary lunch, lured in by the appealing ambiance from the photos. Overall, I wasnāt greatly impressed. The service was good, but a few odd things stood out. First, we asked to sit outside and were placed right next to the only other people on the patio. After asking to be moved, we werenāt given drink menus because, apparently, thatās āstandard practiceā for the afternoon crowd. Eventually, we got our drink menu and ordered. My Old Fashioned was good and well-portioned, perfect for the afternoon. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was tasty, and our waitress kept our water glasses filled. Now, the food. I ordered the Angus burger with Parmesan fries. The fries barely had any Parmesan, and the burger was greasyāstandard pub fare at best. My wifeās tacos, on the other hand, were good and had a nice kick. Wish Iād gone with those. In summary, while the drink was enjoyable, the rest of the experience didnāt quite match the high price tag.
