Solomon Street Seafood Market - Griffin

A co-worker told me about this place and brought some shrimp for me to try. OMG the shrimp was YUMMY and perfectly paired with the cocktail sauce! I liked it so much I thought about going back for dinner but waited to return the next day for lunch, this is when I tried the catfish sandwich. I tried calling several times both days to ask questions and to attempt to place my pick up order over the phone in hopes of the food being done upon arrival so it didn’t cut in to my lunch time. Unfortunately they do NOT answer the phones. Finding the place was easy. Upon entering the building unfortunately I was not welcomed with a warm greeting but instead stared at my the two women who were sitting at the table. No one was at the count but I proceeded in hopes of someone appearing from the back. As I approach the counter the two ladies continued to stare and say nothing, I smiled, they stared. I stood at the counter for a few seconds for one of the ladies to finally get up and walk behind the counter to ask what I wanted to eat. I gave her my order but her responses were so dry. I stood there waiting for my food with no possible eta. The catfish didn’t taste seasoned but it wasn’t nasty, I threw some hot sauce on it and it was perfect. The fries were unsalted but once ketchup was added they were perfect. The shrimp is still my favorite but I am looking forward to trying the pork chop sandwich my co-worker had and keeps raving about! I’ll return to try a few other items and definitely keep coming back for the shrimp. I just hope they start answering phones soon and spruce up the customer service!
