Our last few trips to Amigos in Elizabethton haven’t been great. Gave it a try again tonight, and we won’t be back. We sat at our table for close to 10 minutes before someone came over to get our drink order. At least four people walked by and just looked at us. I finally loudly said we are leaving if no one shows up to offer us drinks. I’m pretty sure the waiter was still chewing up his food as he finally greeted us. We ordered, and no one ever came back to check on us. My food was soupy, the cheese dip was way too runny like it was watered down. Waiter returns to bring the check, we order dessert. I ask for a to-go box and cup for the cheese dip. He says rather rudely, “it’s coming.” He orders the dessert then stands around and stare at his phone for 10 minutes. Brings the desert, still no boxes. I ask for them again and again he replies, “it’s coming.” I had to ask for spoons for our desert. All I had to eat ice cream with was my dirty fork. Dessert was good. The cheese dip appetizer was good, but the cheese dip on my food was runny.
