Whiskey & Water - Seafood and Bourbon Bar - Blue Ridge

I wish there was a confused emoji or an I’m torn about my review button. Upon entering, we noticed just 3 other customers in the front dining room. We were a little early as we approached the hostess stand. I gave my name and time of reservation and politely asked the hostess to not be seated at a 2 top. With an empty restaurant, while still looking at the screen, she replies, “we don’t have any available.” Of course I found it funny and started to laugh as my wife and I looked around an empty restaurant. Another young lady came over and said we do, pushed a couple buttons on the screen, and then showed us to a 4 top, not 10 feet away. Our server was very polite and took our drink order, and helped my wife make a selection. We ordered the crab dip, and it was fantastic. For our entrees, my wife had the fish and chips and was extremely pleased. I had the tacos and the tortillas were atrocious. They were very flavorful, but they could have used a bit more heat. We had the peach cobbler and it was great. The thing that annoyed me most about the “we don’t have any 4 tops available” comment is that throughout our service no less than 4 groups who said they had no reservations were seated at 4 tops. Read that last part again. I’d also like yo note for larger customers that the seats here have these “wings” on the side. I’m 6’1, 255 pounds, and i didn’t have an issue, but it’s clear that if you’re a little larger in the lower half, you’re going to have an issue.
