Westside Grill - Allentown

I selected this restaurant after looking at many of the reviews because I wanted my husband to enjoy his birthday last evening. The first thing I would comment on is the overall atmosphere along with the cleanliness which I am a stickler on. I must say that it was on point and the seating areas were all very inviting with the perfect amount of lighting. Secondly, is service; our server Bella was very pleasant and accommodating. Her service level was top tier which I personally expressed to her through words as well as through her tip. Lastly, is the food which unfortunately fell well below my expectations. My husband had the double lamb which is his absolute favorite however it had no flavor and the fat was not rendered. I had the New York strip and that also had absolutely no flavor and was not cooked the way I asked throughout the steak and therefore we left the restaurant hungry. Bella asked us how was everything and although I prompted my husband to say something he didn’t want to call any attention to us. I would have loved to discreetly speak with the manager however it definitely would have called attention to us in a negative way which we never want. We ended up taking a good portion of our dinner home to hopefully salvage it but we were so disappointed that we just put it in the refrigerator and remained hungry. One of the desserts we ordered was the sticky caramel tart which was actually a defrosted mini cake with caramel sauce. I would have been disappointed if we had come here on an ordinary night, however this was to celebrate my husband’s birthday so the disappointment was at a much higher level.
