New school restaurants need to take note of the several many things this old school restaurant does right. The staff are always welcoming, warm and friendly. They treat everyone like they have dined there for years. The food from a-z is consistently delicious. Our favourites are the steak bites, calamari, any cut of steak as they cut their own!, lasagna, any pizza option you cannot go wrong with. The only feedback I have for improvement is the dessert selection. while there is nothing wrong with what they offer, it just doesn’t match the quality and taste of the main menu. Special note to fresh table linens each time they set the table(some “nice” restaurants in Calgary will flip the cloth instead of getting a new one) Always impressed with Alexander’s!
