We had chicken snacks with fries. The home style fries were great, and the chicken I would recommend, but it was a bit greasy. The real letdown was their gravy for me. It had no flavor and had a chemical taste, almost like chlorine from cold tap water. Do NOT order the gravy. It was a big let down as one of my usual favorite parts of the meal.
The food was quite good, with the pizza being very fresh and delicious. The garlic fingers were the standout and tasted so, so good.
Whenever I feel hungry , marsh's chicken was my first option Love their pizza and chickens , staff our always happy and smiling. Service is great too, So whenever you visit the town this place is a must try.

**I ate a few fries before I took the picture, there were a lot! Me and my family were craving some fish and chips for supper, and I’m thankful we chose Little Dairy King! The food came out as soon as expected (about ten minutes) and the fish was tasty! The fish was buried under the fries, and not a lot of salt, but it’s easy to add. The portions were pretty big and I was very full afterwards! Fries were hot, a bit soft though. Overall the food was great! The view was great! Very close to the water, and there are tables and chairs to sit on the deck outside, and out along the field near the water. However, we decided to sit in the car due to bird poop on almost every table and fresh ice cream spilled on a few. Inside, it was dull and not a lot of lighting which wasn’t too appealing. Not a lot of seating. Newfoundland music was a nice touch, but it was playing in the back but it was pretty loud. Also a lot of flies in the takeout window. They were flying in and out of the kitchen. All that aside, wonderful food and great fish! The ocean view was beautiful. Would totally come again!
Every year we come home we always come here. The view is absolutely amazing and the food is great. I had fries stuffing and gravy but wanna come back for some ice cream with the kids!
What a fantastic spot! Food was good- had the mushroom bacon melt burger and sweet potato fries, and enjoyed them while watching the sunset

Visited with a group of 4 for dinner and we were very happy with our meals. The fresh warm bread, homemade chips, baked cod and blueberry cheesecake were all 10/10 incredible! Only thing to note is the food did take a little long so just be mindful if you’re in a rush. We highly recommend!
Everything was pretty good. Tiny generic sausage were definitely not on par with the Bacon which was definitely great. It’s a small basic 2 egg breakfast for $24 and charging extra for the jam seemed gauche. The price was off putting for the size and quality of the overall meal but I had resigned myself to that. I get that the jam is homemade but charging extra for jam was going too far. The place is cute but not enough to justify the price either. If I went back I would order toast and jam. It was very good.
Service is slow and ineffective. We got in at 5:15 and we ordered 3 dishes. Chicken pot pie and two other dishes. After 45 min we didn’t receive a single dish except for bread and some weird butter. Other people received their dishes. Wife asked the server for status. Waitress told us our order got lost. My son changed his order from chicken pot pie (that takes 45 min) to chicken Alfredo. We still waited 45 more minutes to get our dishes. Nothing special. My Portuguese cod lack flavours. Alfredo chicken was not that great. Smoked salmon was tiny. I saw another guy waiting for ever. Check reviews - very slow service from the kitchen. We left at 7:30. Go somewhere else.

The food has been what I expect for fast food chicken. It’s convenient when heading out of town and don’t have time to cook. The staff are always kind. My review is concerning the outside lighting. There are far too many lights and they are oriented toward the road so they are absolutely blinding when driving by. Please consider putting shields on the lights so that the light is shining down, not out. If safety is the concern then your lights need to be adjusted because no one can see the front of the restaurant when driving by at night. Thank you
The restaurant is very clean and tidy. A friendly young man at the counter took my order. When I was buying milk, he carefully noticed that the milk was just about to expire. The food was fresh, and the restrooms were clean. It was a pleasant dining experience.
I'm a big fan of Mary Browns but the Bonavista location was quite disappointing, if not concerning. Great staff and spotless interior but the taters tasted as though the oil in the deep fryer hasn't been changed in quite a while and is spoiled. The Big Mary was nowhere close to the usual thick chunk of tender juicy chicken. It was more than one small piece that were very thin and surrounded by a thick coating of batter that was so tough, I couldn't take more than a couple bites. The bit of chicken that I could find was tough and tasteless. It felt like they were offloading leftover pieces. The batter had the same spoiled taste from the old oil. Needless to say, it all went back in the bag and into the garbage. A waste of almost $20. I'm only writing this in the hopes the manage sees it soon and switches out the oil immediately.

The nachos were awesome! I was surprised by the portion of nachos the restaurant provided and the amount and variety of toppings including cheese. By far one of the best nachos I've had on the island and I've eaten a lot of nachos and been to every community in Newfoundland. These incredible nachos came generously topped with seasoned ground beef (which I picked off because I don't eat beef but I was sharing with company), banana peppers, jalapenos, onion, tomatoes, red pepper, black olives, plenty of cheese and a side of tasty salsa and fresh sour cream. I also ordered FDG (fries, dressing and gravy). The FDG tasted pretty good. The atmosphere was nice, inviting, comfortable and spacious. There's an enclosed deck area with seating as well. The menu had some great options. A few vegetarian selections. They also offer some great desert options including a variety of ice cream. Offered at the restaurant are locally made crafts which are unique and beautiful but can only be purchased with cash only. I would recommend bringing cash as these items are worth buying. The server/cashier was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and local crafts, she was helpful and patient.
The food I ordered was not overly great but the fries and gravy were! Got a club sandwich but it was 95% dark meat (which I feel should be disclosed, but I also could have asked. I’ve never encountered that before.) After picking it off it was mostly just bread, lettuce, tomato, bacon and a Kraft cheese slice which was warm and congealed under the fries. Not appetizing but I would go again and try something else- my partner had the breakfast poutine and said it was incredible! The menu is also huge and really great prices so there’s definitely something for everyone. Our waitress was also very sweet! Great souvenirs as well.
Had a fresh fish burger and fries. Absolutely amazing!!. Cooked perfectly and the tartar sauce was on point! The amosphere in the dining room being next to the water with the beautiful ambient lighting is definitely the best in the area. Will be back for sure! Staff are very friendly and the owner Danielle was a delight.

This applies to all Subways. Not to long ago they fixed what was not broke and it was one big mistake. Gone is that nice medium rare roast beef. Now the whole new line up seems a real let down to what it once was. And it is a real dam shame.

We visited Bonavista in a day trip and after seeing some Puffins and drove around in the city until we found Waltham's Cafe where we decided to have a quick meal and we really liked it. It’s a small Café next to a Pub, with good options for desserts and a quick lunch or even take out. It's kind of a home made dishes really local and delicious! We had some Cod au Gratin and Fish Cakes and both were delicious, and of course, we also couldn’t resist to their local desserts! The price is good and the service was really friendly. The ambience is simple and cozy at the same time. We totally recommend a stop, even for a dessert & coffee only!
As soon as we walked in the door we were hit with a delicious aroma of chili, cooking in the back for lunch. We ordered fish cakes, baked beans, sausage, french toast and toutans and everything was AMAZING! Just like mom makes- scrumptious!! The ladies working were also very nice, good service. We are going back later for supper! Highly recommend. They are also one of the very few places that are still open in the off season.
Friendly staff and customers, delicious food and wonderful homemade desserts.

A great, local home style place! We were in Bonavista for the evening and decided to eat here. There were a lot of options on the menu and we went for the fish and chips and it did not disappoint. It was lightly breaded and the fries were perfect! The service was great, very friendly servers and the atmosphere matches the food. It’s not fancy but you will not leave disappointed.
Eating at PK's was like eating at a mess hall during my old days in the military. Good old fashioned no BS comfort food in a setting which wasn't exactly memorable. If you're looking for a dining experience, there are many other places to go. But if you're looking for a hearty meal with large portions and a reasonable price, you can't go wrong.
As tourists, me and my family wanted to experience the food and restaurants in Bonavista and weren’t too impressed. We went in and ordered two large pizzas. One pepperoni, one with three toppings; mushrooms, peppers and pepperoni. We were told the wait would be 30 minutes and gave them our number to call us. We took a scenic drive around Bonavista, and after thirty minutes (without anyone calling us) we returned back to PK’s. As we came back, our pizza wasn’t ready and took an extra thirty minutes for us to receive it. Very unfortunate considering the pizza was mediocre with very few peppers and mushrooms on our second pizza. At least it was hot. I probably wouldn’t come back, and same for my family. There are definitely better places in Bonavista!

We stopped by here after visiting Cape Bonavista Lighthouse. It was an easy detour on the way to the town of Bonavista. The cliff rock formations are incredible! It is only a short walk from the car so good for kids and seniors. If you had a young child I would just have them hold your hand so they are close to you. It is amazing what nature and the sea can do over time to the rocks and erode them! Make sure to see this if you are passing through as it is worth it!
Beautiful park, with stunning ocean views and unique geological features. The signs explaining the area help provide more depth and context. A lovely place to stop when exploring the peninsula.
A place to see absolutely !!UNESCO geological site. Some loose horses and biodiversity .the perfect dry camping with scenic view.Imagine having the sound of the wave, the smell of the sea, the phare light and a little fire going ?? You see ?? That life !!
