Toscana Bar Italiano is a charming and inviting Italian eatery that brings the essence of Italy to the heart of the community. Our establishment is dedicated to providing an aut…
I finally found the perfect Italian restaurant in the northshore! Toscana’s is the real deal - authentic Italian food that tastes like it came straight from someone's grandmother's kitchen. The homemade pasta dishes are incredible…I love the spicy rigatoni it’s a MUST TRY. The restaurant itself has a super cozy vibe perfect for this time of year. The dim lighting makes it romantic for date night but also perfect for grabbing a glass of wine or espresso martini at the bar with the girls. The way their espresso martini is made goes beyond true craftsmanship— that thing is perfecttttt and so so delicious. The service is great, the prices are beyond reasonable for the quality, and you can actually hear your conversation (unlike so many other spots). I almost want to gatekeeper this place because it’s so perfect. 11/10 recommend!!!
I have always liked the food at Toscana and still do. While I appreciate their take out business (doordash etc) is probably helping them out, it is destroying the dining experience there. I hope they can reevaluate how they handle takeout to balance both. On our most recent visit: * Couldn't get to the host stand due to it being crowded by at least six drivers waiting for over 10 minutes. * The area which used to be seating next to the bar is now a prep station of folding tables holding takeout. * Food took an exceptionally long time and came out in an odd order. This killed the eat in experience. If take out is booming this much I actually think that is great for the business but do something so it doesn't kill the environment. Perhaps take the same space across the back of the restaurant that is currently taken down the middle, put up a significant divider and while there, add a side door for delivery pickup. Finally limit the delivery orders so you can still handle the dining room. Finally, remove or replace the TV that has gone funny colors.
Honestly, I think people look for reasons to complain. I’ve never had anything but a 5 star experience here. I’ve been for dinner, drinks, and functions. The food is fresh and tasty. Drinks are made well, and the service cares. It has a casual vibe, but mixes in a perfect balance of class and sophistication. Huge fan! Just go and enjoy!

Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. This visit was date night. Started with the house bread and homemade hummus *chef’s kiss* We got the salmon and swordfish for dinner. They were cooked to perfection and the risotto was unbelievable. We each had THE espresso martini. Got a pepperoni and onion pizza to go. Everything was delicious and to drive this point home, we could hear the guy at the table next to us fawning over how delicious his meal was too. Can’t wait to come back soon!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been enjoying the food/drinks here since probably 2013. I have never had a bad meal. I’ve tried the paninis, the pizza, and most recently I tried the swordfish and I was not disappointed! Also, they make the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. I can’t come here and not get one!
Hubs and I had a date night to see a show at the Cabot Theater just down the street, so we made reservations for dinner here at Soma. We arrived and were seated promptly on time in a cozy booth next to the windows so we could people-watch too :) (of note, it is quite dark in there!) Our server, Liz, was a well-trained server who knew the importance of prompt, efficient service on a show night! She started us off with complimentary bread and housemade hummus, and O M G. This was the smoothest, creamiest hummus I have EVER tasted! It was seasoned to perfection; after a couple of bites, I thought it might need a bit more salt or lemon but then changed my mind. Even when the bread was gone, I scooped and scraped the last bits with the cute mini spoon they provided! Whew, all that for something complimentary! It gave me great hopes for the rest of the meal! Drinks: hubs had a beer, and I started with the cucumber Cosmo, nice twist but too sweet; I switched to dirty martinis, and those were bangin'! Dinner: we opted to share two small pizzas, thinking they were like personal pan-sized- HA, we would have been okay ordering one! We chose the mushroom and sausage and then the garlic shrimp. Both came out timely and hot! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the lovely essence of garlic with the fondita cheese was divine. The broccolini was a huge hit as well, tender but still had some bite to it. Some roasted garlic on top would have put this pizza in the top 1 or 2 pizzas I have ever had! The pizza crust was chewy, crusty, and not limp at all! The mushroom pizza was okay in my book; the mushrooms tasted off to me, but to be honest, it is a hit or miss with me and mushrooms! Hubs enjoyed it very much. There might have been a little too much sauce, and the wilted spinach on top was not needed, but it added a nice presentation. We, of course, could not finish both, which is a shame because we ubered and there was nowhere to store the leftovers :( Overall, it was a wonderful experience at Soma, and we will be back!!

I love it here. The best espresso martinis. Amazing dirty martinis. Absolutely love the gnochi on appetizer menu. Staff was lovely. Reserved our seats at the bar Saturday night with one of my girlfriends. It’s been a while since I’ve had this positive of an experience dining out. Will regularly be coming back
My family really enjoyed a full breakfast. Pancakes Very big, three pieces. Wow, delicious, lots of food. Beautiful shop, good service.
Excellent cuisine choices. 1st time I’ve seen WC for bathrooms? Wait staff very efficient but could be a bit more fun. We will return for food and atmosphere

I came from out of state to visit a friend and unfortunately I have celiac disease which makes eating difficult at best. My friend was recommended this place for me and it was fantastic. Upon arrival they ask if ant vegetarian or gluten free menus are needed and when I went to order the waiter knew exactly what I meant when I told him about having celiac. The gluten free menu was clear and also labeled to advise how items were cooked like the chicken wings we shared. Instead of being fried, which celiacs can't have food from a shared fryer, they are oven roasted, came out with a wooden marker in them stating "Allergy" to differentiate it. I got the chicken parm sandwich which they pan fry separately, came on a gluten free bun and the allergy stick. The woman who delivered it guaranteed the bun was gluten free (iykyk) and stated her sister has celiac, eats there all the time and gets the precautions needed. We had some good laughs with her too! The place was busy, but staff were so friendly and attentive. Definitely go and if you're celiac please try it and enjoy the sense of normalcy!
The atmosphere was great and the restaurant was very clean . My experience was fantastic my server Liam was helpful, funny, and a great person. He clicked really well with my kid who couldn’t decide what to get! He was very informative on all options and very attentive throughout our visit !! 5stars for him alone! The food was awesome as well. This place will always be a favorite Some items might seem pricey but well worth it. Staff is nice and full of smiles. The restaurant is very clean. Fun vibe, super friendly servers, and the food was AMAZING Outdoor dining as well. Food was good! Lots of tasty options.
On our short family vacation we decided to find a local spot to sit down and eat. We were FLOORED by the food and service provided here. AMPLE parking, excellent service and that's not even the best part!! The food was incredible! Well flavored and large portions for just about ANY family size. And speaking of...it was a fun dining experience for our little ones with a children's menu too. You're going to appreciate the atmosphere, and just in case the dads want to sneak away and catch a game, the bar is right next to the dining area with live games for viewing. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience and seriously consider adding a pastrami sandwich with your pickled onions to the menu in the near future.

I just had lunch here, instead of going to Chipotle. The food was fabulous, service quick. I had a burrito bowl with everything. I chose marinated chicken this time, but they have many different meat options that are good. So different to get authentic tasting Mexican compared to chains. Even things like the rice taste better. Many people get take out, so there were lots of seats inside and out, even though the place is small.
I don’t like rating places low but the flavor is so bland here. I’m Mexican and have been struggling to find a solid Mexican place in Mass since moving from Cali (seriously blessed to have the best Mexican food there) and had high hopes for this place. Even their Mexican rice is inauthentic. I make Mexican rice regularly and it’s so easy to make it flavorful yet theirs is so lacking. And they use black beans which is not authentic Mexican beans. The employees aren’t the nicest but I take it with a grain a salt but that on top of the flies everywhere is a bad combination. I really can’t blame the people who love it as it is a predominantly white area but saying you’re “bringing the flavors of Mexico” is a straight up lie. The basics taste so…tasteless. You’re better off YouTubing an authentic recipe and making it at home—seriously, it’s that easy.
Tacos were authentic but a bit overpriced. Steak was somewhat try but chips were fresh and lengua & al pastor were perfection. It gets busy and there’s not too much space. Lots of paid street parking.

The restaurant was excellent, and Jenny, our server, was attentive and friendly. The pork belly was absolutely amazing—so tender and full of flavor. The roast chicken was also a standout—crispy skin, juicy, and packed with flavor. Highly recommend!
We had our 1st dinner at Kitchen Table last night and it won’t be our last! Delicious food and a nice wine list. The roasted chicken isn’t to be missed! Basque cheesecake was decadent and calorie worthy!
Just got back from a wonderful evening with absolutely delicious food. Started with the squash bisque . creamy and delicate. We shared the smoked oysters with arugula. Everyone agreed it was so nicely prepared. Added the fried sweet potatoe wedges and the pork belly. A very unique array of options . we ended the meal with the most delicious Basque cheesecake I have ever had delicately topped with real whipped cream and a dollop of sweetened fruit. Can’t say enough about the excellent service ! We will be back for sure. Go, celebrate, and enjoy - You won’t be disappointed.

Local pub/tavern style restaurant that also serves sushi. It was busy on a Friday night. Fish and chips was good, would recommend it. The food was great, no complaints. Our service lacked a bit - never got a water refill and I needed more ketchup than the single cup. I would say to the restaurant, the little cups of ketchup and tartar sauce are actually a good way to do it, I just needed another. That said it’s a good spot and we would go back again and try more things too.
Stopped by for dinner on "Taco Tuesday" night to enjoy their pulled chicken tacos for the special price of $10. Also ordered their steak fries and skillet chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. All the food was delicious! The ambiance of the place was terrific with pictures of 90's musicians like the Grateful Dead. Their service was phenomenal with dinner served within minutes of ordering. The hostess Schuylar was very hospitable and attentive. We had a wonderful time there.
If you dine in, this place is great. They have not mastered any semblance of take out. Whether it’s called in, ordered online, or ordered through a 3rd party delivery service, I have yet to get an order right at Hale Street. The food is great but it’s been disappointment after disappointment. One time the chicken Cobb salad didn’t come with chicken, another time, we were missing an entire meal, and today, the birria quesadilla came without the consumeé and the kids chicken quesadilla had jalapeños (not listed on the website menu). Please just pay better attention, guys. We’re local and we like your food, but it’s so annoying to get the wrong order all the time- especially when we’re a 10-15 min drive away. It’s not a cheap meal, and we’ll pay it for the quality, but not if it continues to be incorrect.

Was in town for work and it was dinner time, and this place was pretty close The food was fantastic - fish and chips, and I got onion rings and french fries as a side cause my wife wasn't there to tell me that I couldn't. The onion rings were great, very thinly battered. Steak fries are always a winner in my book. I got two pieces of haddock, nice and fluffy inside with a beautiful crisp on the outside. Service was quick and friendly. Also, they have Pepsi, yay!
Horrible food and service! Ribs were all FAT and gristle, disgustingly bad. Steak tips were tough and overcooked. Mac and Cheese was a gummy glob of tasteless garbage! Salad was wilted and inedible. TOTAL RIP OFF...and all of us had very queasy stomachs a few hours after eating in this dive.
With a sub shop menu, sports bar interior and we'll made cocktails, Greg's Tavern is a delightful mix of experiences. The staff and service is friendly and prompt and the food is very good! The Greek fries are amazing and the beefs are solid!

This was a wonderful experience. Our waitress Mariah is a gem! She's a wonderful human and so sweet! I was visiting with friends on vacation and our experience here was a wonderful start to the trip. Food was fantastic with large portion sizes and the staff are awesome! I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you can.
The food and drink menu is up to date and we'll prepared. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly! The wait staff kept apologizing for the wait on food to their tables but honestly we all should be greatful for this restaurant to reopen and for staff to show up. Give them a chance. It's worth it!
Party of 4 - 2 of us disabled (one extremely elderly) restaurant was extremely accommodating which was greatly appreciated. Food was great. Plentiful, hot and delicious -- just what we needed. We hadn't been there in awhile (not going out much since Covid) but always consistent quality of food and service. While we don't eat out often, we will be visiting them again when we do!

Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday (Juneteenth) and was able to order right away. We had our signs with us so we asked if we could have them on the patio and they were super happy to have our dogs there. We ordered 2 angry bird sandwiches and 1 chicken strips and 1 chicken and waffles. The food came to us about 10 minutes later and was piping hot. First, the chicken fingers came nicely breaded and fried. Nothing soggy or oily. The kid ate them up and was happy. Second, the chicken and waffles were great also. Again, the chicken was not oily and the waffle was good enough to eat without any syrup. Last, the angry bird sandwich was awesome. I like this way better than any other chains chicken sandwich. The bayou sauce was a nice addition and the slaw adds some nice depth of flavor. The sandwich gets a little messy but what do you expect with all the toppings?!
High quality that makes sense of the price tag. Operates like a fast food service and atmosphere, but the food quality is far elevated. Be warned that HOT means HOT. No pansies dictating the scovilles. Consider ordering a menu item rather than build your own for fantastic flavor combinations and better bang for your buck.
The food was absolutely incredible. We tried the Nashville Hot, the Angry Fries, and the OG. Nashville Hot has the perfect amount of subtle heat, not overwhelming at all. Real chicken, quality ingredients. We were visiting from out of state, so I'm sad we can't go more often.

On Cabot Street in Beverly this little jazz club has some of the best bands around. Sure the layout is strange but it just adds to the coziness. The music volumne isn't deafening and the bartenders are providing great service. Parking is on Cabot Street or nearby municipal lots and the walk to Chianti is interesting with window shopping and people watching. There's even a HD TV on the wall away from the stage with live feed to the band! No misses out no matter where you sit. The restrooms are well stocked and clean.
Nice place, great atmosphere, friendly staff & yummy food. Live music, I ended up on a comedy night. This was the best medallion substituted potatoe for pasta. Very tasty!!

Wide variety of food options. Recommend the taco options. Fresh ingredients and flavors. Vegetarian options. Try the hikers taco. As a Texan, I don’t recommend the brisket taco. Try the fish taco instead.
Made reservations and got sat right away. Loved that they had chalk to write on the tables, it was very kid-friendly. The food was good, but the peaches in the salad were bruised and did not taste fresh. The rest of the peach and burrata salad was very good. The decor is fun and the staff was friendly.
Bonefish Harry’s has the vibe of a New England spot but with more kick. I had 3 tacos: a tasty falafel, a Brussels sprout one with pickled onions, and a Baja fish taco. I have to say, fish tacos I’ve had around here are usually a piece of fried fish with soggy lettuce with cheddar cheese—this one had a nice piece of cod, slaw, and a good Baja sauce. I think they could up their tortilla game. maybe go with corn tortillas or have them for an option IMO. It got busy pretty quickly on a Friday night, so keep that in mind. I’ll be back soon. They have TVs playing vintage shows. Adam's Family.

The Beverly Depot Restaurant Beverly Depot Restaurant exudes history and nostalgia. The filet mignon, prepared to perfection, was absolutely delicious. For those of you who have been here, you already know. For those who haven’t been, it’s a must-add to your list. #filetmignon
We went to Beverly Depot for Valentine's Day, and everything was exceptional from the service to the drinks to the main course to dessert! We've been many times, and personally, I never had a seafood dish. The haddock with crabmeat stuffing was a generous portion and perfectly cooked and so tasty. The Depot Cosmo was a perfect start to the evening and the wine with dinner was a generous pour (which you don't see at a lot of in restaurants these days). Of course the salad bar is the best around and so fresh along with my favorite, the cheddar cheese and fresh baked bread. The shared caramel, coconut, banana and pecan fried ice cream dessert was so unique and beyond delicious, and even the coffee and the coffee drink to cap off the evening had such a great smooth flavor! The staff was super friendly and attentive and paced each course perfectly. The value for such a complete quality meal in such a great atmosphere was phenomenal as well! Thanks to the team at The Beverly Depot. Keep up the great work!!
Thanksgiving dinner. ( take -out) First year not cooking, big mistake. The turkey was on the dry side, stuffing, gravy and butternut squash were all good. Whipped potato’s need more butter and cream, dry and thick! Cranberry sauce, one of my favorite’s - missing from the dinner- huge disappointment. The peas and onions were bland and tasteless, butter or sauce might have helped them along. The yellow cake with frosting, a strawberry and whip cream on the side- stale and too sweet. The cake was thick, it wasn’t moist. Would I return? Absolutely not.

It's not a dive bar at all. It's a friendly and fun environment for everyone. I love how the games are free. We planned to only go for an hour and stayed 3 hrs. It was really nice to go to a relaxing and friendly establishment. Definitely will be coming back and making this a regular hangout place for us. Thank you. Also handlebar Mustache guy that works the bar, makes the best drinks . Thank you!
Seems like a fun place, went on Halloween and it was decorated very well. The food was delicious especially since we were starving, the fries were super crispy and the portions were big. Service was nice, big place.
Excellent food, nice atmosphere and fair prices. Service can improve a bit but overall we had a great experience and will come back again soon! …
