Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Berwyn – 2024

Quite honestly the worst hibachi I have had in my entire life. The chef did not use salt or pepper once, nor any sesame seeds. No more than a tablespoon of garlic was used for everything on the grill. The vegetables were served immediately and looked like they came from a cafeteria. Don’t even bother with the dipping sauce, it is garbage. It is honestly a shame that the people of Valley Forge Pennsylvania accept this crap. Giant waste of money. Absolutely awful.

Excellent server and chef. Able to prepare special meals in the back kitchen or meals where an individual has an allergy. Prices were reasonable, and staff are polite with impeccable and timely service. The chef was fantastic and interacted with the guests. The seating area was a bit loud as the serving areas were close in proximity.

Worst hibachi I’ve had. Coke was flat. Steak wasn’t seasoned, no garlic or salt. Noodles weren’t served. One party member was forgotten about. Sauces weren’t served until everything was on the plate. And then the theatrics….just bad. The egg trick was attempted but was just broken from the get go. No spinning of a spatula. The volcano wasn’t stacked properly, it fell down prior to lighting. We definitely got the rookie chef.

Casey's Pour House is a good place for comfort food. My husband enjoyed a Cajun Chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and I had a delicious chicken pot pie. The portion of chicken pot pie was just right for me. It had a flaky crust, enough chicken and just the right variety of vegetables. It wasn't too soupy and I was able to eat the entire dish with a fork. We had a booth right by the bar and it was a little loud there on a Thursday evening but that didn't stop me from enjoying my meal.

Usually good service and friendly place. A few good beer selections, decent food and good specials (half off burger night). Had a rough experience recently, asked for soup before meal, never arrived (before or during )and we're charged for it (we could not ask the kitchen because "they would yell at us" was the response from server. Anyway, everyone has a bad night, kinda affected our meal but we drank through it.

Went for Appetizers and a Drink. Friendly staff, food was good and fast. Seems like they have regular customers at bar for the home style conversational spot. It's legit for a quick stop or a regular drink if local.

We could not ask for a better place to celebrate my boyfriend’s 50th birthday with family and friends. They were so accommodating when we had an extra person join us. They were super attentive throughout the entire meal. It almost felt like we were in their home. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Fantastic food with service that makes you feel like you're part of the family. This place has tons of regulars (I am not one, though I have aspirations ) and the entire staff and Frankie are so welcoming. The food is excellent -- haven't had a disappointment yet. Among my favorite dishes so far: the panzanella salad was delicious and perfectly balanced and the chicken francaise is to die for!

The food here is excellent. The chef cooks an amazing meal. We had a variety of dishes all were excellent. I think the pricing is very reasonable, our server Valerie was fantastic and there was a live singer. Great evening. It is a small restaurant so it can and does fill up. Don’t forget your drinks - it is BYOB. Next time we will have wine with us. Will definately go back again and again.

Came here for Sunday brunch—we opted to sit at the bar to watch the games. I like how they let you sample the beers here to help you narrow down your final choice—ended up with the Valley Forged IPA! If you order off their brunch menu it comes with a complimentary Bloody Mary, champagne or craft brew! The Avocado Toast with Grilled Shrimp and Chihuahua Tostada were good. And the Buck-a-Shuck Oysters were great! Portions are generous, prices are reasonable and service was awesome!

It’s not very often that you witness a five star experience on both the service and the food, but obviously Will’s and Biil’s places an extremely high priority on both! From the moment we were greeted at the hostess station until we left, we were left with the profound impression that our business was important and highly valued. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and since we’ve never had a negative experience at any restaurant they’ve chosen we figured this would be another no-brainer. Correct again Steve-O! We began with an order of Truffle Fries and Bill’s Nachos to share for our party of five. For the starters I really didn’t look beyond the item description. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be a complete understatement. The nachos could have been a complete meal not just for one person, but probably two. Had I bothered to read the description I would have seen that the nachos were stuffed with braised short ribs and believe me, the taste was fantastic! The fries were really good as well and we had to put up the stop sign for our two-year-old grandson because he would have filled his belly just on the fries! The ladies ordered the roast beef dip and the salmon bowl which were both exceptional. My son-in-law and I gorged ourselves on the nachos and deciding that discretion was the better part of valor, we just decided to split a chicken cheesesteak. Our meals were not only tasty, but the presentation was impeccable. Our server Corrine has a great perception on when to stop by the table and check up on us. We didn’t feel that we were rushed, and certainly did not feel we were neglected. It was especially pleasing that when members of the staff went by they took the time to say hello to our grandson, who not surprisingly seems to be turning into a little social butterfly! Will’s and Bill’s was a phenomenal experience and is highly recommended for anything from casual dining to celebrating your special occasion!

If you like a little food with your bowl of salt, this place is for you. My family came here for lunch. Three of the five dishes we ordered were so salty as to be inedible. If you eat here, stick with items that don’t come in bowls with a lot of sauces, like salads and burgers. On the plus side, the staff was extremely accommodating and worked hard for us to be satisfied.

The Philly cheesesteak at Phil's was great. They even let us try a sample of "real pizza" to make it easy for us so that we could try both. The guy working the counter said that if we've never had this type of style of pizza in Philly that we've never had real pizza before. Sweet sauce on top of pizza, no other toppings. It was pretty good.

Six years ago I left this review: I've eaten here probably a hundred times, the food is fine... the owners just don't care how they act. I had a driver complain about the tip I gave him (which was a normal tip by the way). Whenever you call the place they seemed agitated that you're calling...very annoying. ORDER BERWYN PIZZA INSTEAD NOW IN 2024- The same driver, who still works there, showed up AGAIN and complained about his tip AGAIN. $5 for a single pizza that’s less than a 10 minute drive is beyond adequate. Be grateful instead of openly complaining about what we didn’t have to give you in the first place. That on top of his delivery charge. My advice, get a different job, clearly you can’t handle working in the service industry.

If I can give this place 10 stars I would the food and the atmosphere was very good, I got the chicken bacon cheese steak n homemade garlic knots excellent I will be returning for more

Wife and I stopped there on the way home to Michigan from Philadelphia. I had Pancakes, Eggs & Sausage. My wife had Chicken Fingers and Fries. The food was excellent. Nice size portions. The waitress was very attentive. Food was delivered in a timely matter.

This busy breakfast and lunch spot not only offers a full menu of delicious options but has beautiful inside and outside seating. Service is top notch and incredibly quick. Everything is hot and fresh. Highly recommended for breakfast and lunch. Treat yourself to their outdoor seating and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Everything was perfect. Pet friendly and the food staff and atmosphere couldn’t have been any better, our server Justinee was very nice and we hope to have her as our server when we come back again

An out of the way place that has fantastic food. I had the turkey Ruben (an item not on the menu but if you ask them they can make it. I tried my brother's waffle and it was outstanding l. The item I wanted to try but didn't was the Black Forrest Waffle that is very original and I will try that next time. Very friendly service and reasonable prices .Who can ask for anything more . It was my 1st time there but not my last.

The "Hangover Sandwich" was delicious! Bacon, egg, cheese and home fries on a long roll. The staff and service were both excellent! (My only complaint was the smell of the restaurant; it smells like some kind of floor cleaner. Fresh baked pie or bread, maybe even scented candles would help. Hopefully this can be fixed.). Thank you!

EmJ is our favorite brunch place in the neighborhood! They have the best egg Benedict - egg poached to perfection and hollandaise sauce done in the right way. Coffee is good too! Expect some wait time on the weekends.

Food- 5/5 Service- NA Atmosphere- 5/5 Drinks- NA Value- 4/5 This small Mexican restaurant is a hidden secret. I stopped by and ordered tacos of the pastor, carnitas, and steak to try them all. Also ordered the chips and guacamole. They were all really good. Loved how juicy and tender the carnitas were; the meat fell apart in my mouth and was seasoned perfectly. I could have eaten just a bowl of the pulled pork. The pastor is cooked with pineapple and onions and how a little sweetness that blended in with the spicy kick. Honestly I like the steak the least. Still had good flavor, but tended to be more dry. The chips and guacamole were simple but good. I could have used a little more flavor, maybe a little more lime, but really pretty good. And the chips had good bite. Overall, really happy to have found this place and will definitely be going back for more carnitas (pulled pork) tacos. By far my favorite.

This is a two-parter. We took out a weeknight dinner from here, so our in-house experience was limited. The food was ok. Not great, but worth trying again. Then we ate a weekend lunch here. The restaurant is not clean. From filthy walls and ceiling tiles, to greasy salt and pepper shakers, you could feel the grime. The food was not fresh. My guess is that most of the meat was cooked that morning or even the night before. Despite having one of the best mole sauces I've had in a while, I doubt we'll eat here again.

Burrito, Birria, and Pablano all had so much flavor. Mole sauce was my favorite.

Grew up in Wayne and now live in Georgia. I always frequent the local spots when I’m in town. Stopped for a real Italian hoagie and a cheesesteak and they did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and delicious. The owner came over to check on us as did the server. You can enjoy a beer while you eat (added benefit)… I remember this place from over 25 years ago when my dad wanted an Italian hoagie (and he was a critic when it came to Italian hoagies), he would send us to Neopolitans… they still serve one of the best.

As a traditional pizza shop cheese steak I like this cheesesteak very much. I got the combo steak. The extras spent time together on the grill, they got to know each other and they blended their flavors very well. There was a good amount of cheese and it was melted completely through every millimeter of this cheesesteak. Good traditional roll. The combo comes with sauce and the roll held up beautifully. Plenty of inside seating. The two things I didn't like was that $2.50 for a birch beer and the local police were eating next door. Very good experience.

Always had good luck here. Kinda of an old fashioned place. People are always friendly. That used to be normal everywhere but now not so much. 1 sandwich had mayo & mustard. Was supposed to be mustard, no mayo but it's an honest mistake. I even heard the one girl say to cook; slow down and read before you jump into making something. Or something along those lines. They try, they care. More effort than most places so I'm still giving 5 stars overall

I went for the Octoberfest. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. I changed the pasta to Angel Hair. The price wasn't too crazy... A bit hire than I like to spend on that dish... Luckily the food was good... I had the best seat in the house for the fest... Waitresses were all great... The restaurant also made an exception to let me sit outside for a party of 1. Thats HUGE because they obviously wanna make money on such a night but they made it happen for me. So how can I not give them 5 amazing stars? Cinco estrellas. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came here to celebrate as a family ( mom dad and 4 kids) they were able to accommodate us quickly. The space is beautiful my son (16) said it felt like we were in a movie! The menu is great with plenty of choices. Everyone found something to be excited about. The staff was welcoming and attentive. We had a variety of apps with our main course and dessert. The food is as good at it looks if not more delicious! You can tell the seafood is fresh ! We had a great family dinner even our toddlers (5yrs/4yrs) loved the spaghetti and meatballs. Will come again !!!

Wonderful place from start to finish. Fantastic service, atmosphere, food, and drinks. My husband is alcohol-free and they always create a delicious cocktail for him. The food is fresh and tasty beyond description. Their new happy hour deal only made me want to come back and stay for a whole dinner service! Highly recommend.

Loved this place! Went on a Monday evening not crowded at all! But again it was a Monday evening! Their salsa was delicious chips didn't taste home made but still ate em and they were still good with the salsa! We had the rompe crazones and the corrales enchiladas Rojas a little sweet taste but they were so good! The rompe crazones come with a buttered up bread which was delicious! The waiters there were very nice and efficient Had an horchata which was delicious chips didn't Bathroom was one stall for each men and woman and they were clean Parking was not hard but it is street parking so I bet if it's crowded it might be hard to find Place overall was good! Definitely try this place out if you are in the area

Right down the street from us. Food has always been very good with large portions. The shrimp ceviche covered modelo is my favorite treat! Inside is inviting, warm, standard diner.

We were seated pretty quick but we did go an hour before closing so our order was taken quickly and with just a little time our food was brought to us. I had the fried fish it did not disappoint. Nice and crunchy, tasty meat that slipped right off the bone. The shrimp I didn't order with it was added which was nice. The white rice and the shrimp added a delicious flavor. The other dishes looked and tasted very good. I'm not a fan of can soda drinks but that's what they have. No raspberry iced tea. The milkshake drink has a smooth taste to it, if u get a chance try one. I would go back to try more things.

Great place for a date night! A little too crowded so reservation is highly encouraged. I enjoyed my time with my husband, yes leave the kiddos at home. Food was definitely worth the price. Steak was flavorful and juicy. Drinks very nicely presented. Service was outstanding. Would come back anytime!

I hadn’t been to this place in over a year and had forgotten how truly special it is. The atmosphere and the ambience of the place is fantastic. The food is so fresh and tasty, I can’t believe I’ve stayed away this long. I had the salmon special, which was, outstanding!My friend had the lamb chops and the guys had the seafood platters all done exceptionally well. Now for the drinks… I had an espresso martini which was perfect. And I am super picky about my drinks. The smoky old fashion, which comes out on a smoking platter, is a treat just to watch. Now for the service… If I can rate them higher than a 10, I would! Very attentive, and professional. This will be my new go to restaurant for the summer because they also have one of the most amazing patios which rivals any downtown restaurant!

The fried calamari tapas was flavored so well, delicious. The old fashioned was smokey goodness. I ordered the chicken and bacon pizza, but I didn't realize that the sauce would be so spicy. Admittedly, I am a wimp when it comes to spice. The waitress was amazing; she took one look at my face and took the plate away and brought me back a much milder version! We enjoyed the tiramisu dessert, love that it was made with Maria's cookies. There's a bar with sports on so it can get kind of loud, but what good restaurant isn't?

Tried this place out for the first and looking forward to coming back! Wife ordered a skillet and I had the blt. The French fries were honestly some of the best I've had! The server was super attentive and nice. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming

Really disappointing. We arrived 90min before our train left and did not receive our food in time for the train. After it taking a while to take our order, we waited 45 minutes and still no food. In the meantime, we ordered a water that never showed up. Ended up having to leave without eating to catch our train. The food that did come out to other tables looked good - I wish we could have tried it.

The coffee was really good. The food was okay but definitely get the hash browns. The bathroom was disgusting and looked like it had never been clean. The staff were quick and brought your food out within minutes. Overall it was really okay.

Came here to celebrate my daughters bday. The drinks were great and not shy in alcohol. The appetizers are definitely smaller than the advertised pictures. The entrees were good portion and fool of flavor. The service by Abel was great. Very attentive and helpful when asking for suggestions.

Loved the drinks here and the food was delicious!They have great Mezcal drinks to choose from. We also had the Barbacoa which seemed like it was cooked for hours, it was so tender! A bit salty for my liking but the whole table enjoyed it. They offer it with or without melted cheese. The Trompo was amazing- presentation, flavor and everything. You will get a ton of tacos out of it. I am looking forward to trying the bone marrow special next time!

Super good drinks and food. We ordered the sopesitos, guacamole, and corn which were under the appetizer section. My friend ordered the tortilla soup which he enjoyed. As the name of the restaurant the menu is Latin infused so don’t expect too many traditional or Mexican plates.

I ordered baby back ribs yesterday with coleslaw and corn bread. The presentation was good but the food was very bad ribs cold and couldn't even cut through. no barbeque sauce cornbread was also dry and cold. I really felt bad was looking forward to a good meal . Will not return

Good vibe, kid friendly, nice staff, average food. Chips came to the table which was nice. I’m really happy they had a nonalcoholic cocktail, it was super yummy. 1/1 star for amazing staff, they were so friendly. But 1/5 stars for food, I am so sorry. As a chef I would never serve this food to my guests. Maybe we came on an off day but my entire table unanimously agreed that it was average. I would have rated this as an average place but I ordered the greens as a side and it was so overpowering with vinegar that it was inedible.

Really cool decor and ambiance. The food was great. Service was extremely friendly. But the thing that really “wowed” us was the drinks! The cocktails were solid, well-crafted, balanced, and delicious. Fair prices! 10/10 we’ll definitely be back!

Wow!! To say this place is amazing would be cutting it short. Andre was excellent, he was extremely knowledgeable and most importantly very attentive. Food and drinks were excellent. Would give this place 10 stars if it was an option. We will definitely be back.

I recently dined at Jardin, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with tasteful decor that strikes a perfect balance between cozy and stylish. The lighting was just right, creating a relaxed vibe ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. This place gets really full the parking lot is very limited. No reservations taken but overall the service was good. The food was delicious well seasoned I tried the potato flautas and they were perfect! The drinks are not watered down so be careful because they get to you. Will come back!

Was an absolutely great experience. We were greeted by the wonderful staff, sat us at a beautiful table, chips and salsa were provided, the salsa was delicious, and then they brought out pickled carrots cauliflower onions and garlic that was delicious. Had one of the best margaritas I've had in a long time. I had the Cancun platter. Everything was cooked perfectly, some of the best octopus. All the shrimp was done perfectly, the squash and the onions were delicious, everybody at the table thought the food was delicious. They were very happy with their selections. Highly recommend this place.

I loved the seafood!!!! It was a reminder of my mom’s cooking ❤️ thank you to whoever made the “Caldo Marino”. Service was great, everyone is very polite! Important to know is that there isn’t any live mariachi anymore. Will definitely be going back.

A warm welcoming atmosphere. Good vibes only. The staff is friendly and the food is great and speaks for itself. I had some nice and crisp tostones to start it off.I ordered the Miami sandwich because it was recommended by the lovely waitress which was loaded with flavor. My son had the picadillo bowl which he very much enjoyed. I was full but I had to try the pastelito de guayaba to end it all. Definitely coming back to try the jibarito.

I just stopped by with my Cuban father-in-law. This food is delicious and the service was great. She knew exactly how to handle a loud and excited Cuban. she also mentioned that you can order pastelitos con carne if you order ahead! This is right off of the Berwyn stop, so take the BNSF metra out and enjoy this awesome restaurant. My wife and I will be back very soon.

Both chicken and potatoes were seasoned well and had such a great flavor. Very tasty addition to the food served at the table! On a different occasion we’ve also ordered 4 aguas frescas, 6 burrito dinners and a taco dinner to go. The service was great, even though it was a busy day, our order did not take too long. Good tasting food, Thank you!!

Ive been coming here for years and now order through Grubhub for work, I always have the BEST service here. The sweetest, kindest man works here and is always very welcoming and accommodating. Everything tastes fresh and I know is cooked with care. I hope this man gets the recognition he deserves for being like this through the years. I wish him nothing but the best!! Try this place out the burgers are the BEST!!!

Great food with better prices. Awesome place for Burrritos. Under $10 for a burrito your brain and stomach will be asking for more. Their extra hot sauce is fantastic, if you're a spicy lover like me

5 stars as the service was amazing! Order came out slightly wrong but my server was quick to fix it for me. Food is fast and delicious, great sausage gravy and Benedict’s. Pancakes were a little soggy but that’s ok.

Been living in Berwyn for 2.5 yrs now & finally came to visit this spot! My mum said they had decent breakfast so I went today after my 5K. I got 2 eggs with ham off the bone & chocolate chip pancakes on the side. My partner got eggs with bacon & sourdough toast. Our waitress Kim was very attentive & friendly. Juan was also quick to pick up our dishes after we finished up with them. I would totally come back at a different time to try other menu items.

Great food and service . My parents brought me, I've taken my son and now I'm bringing my granddaughter here. We all love Connie's.
