Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Bala Cynwyd – 2024

Definitely lived up to its reputation. We showed up without reservations and they accommodated us. The food was delicious! The veal Saltimbocca was cooked in the authentic fashion and delicious. The shrimp special with cavitelli and spinach was extraordinary. Our server Simon was attentive and fantastic. We will definitely be back.

We found this place by accident but will go back for sure. Wonderful little family restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine. We were a group of six coming from a play performance. The burrata salad with fig reduction was perfection. I had the tortellini soup and the chicken broth was possible the best I've ever had. My friend had the calamari, again, perfection. My entree, crab and lobster ravioli with shrimp and a pink sauce was incredible. I finished the sauce with a spoon. The homemade desserts were awesome. Tiramisu was light and very tasty and the bombe was also enjoyed. Service was very friendly and efficient and well timed. The owner even came around to the tables to chat (his wife makes the desserts) . They have another location in West Chester. Bathroom was VERY small with a European toilet...you know the type you need help getting up from! But it was clean. Word of warning, if someone in your party has difficulty walking, drop them off at the front door and park out back...there is a sizable hill that must be scaled to get from the lot to the door....but totally worth the climb.

So excited to have a new favorite place for Italian food. The food was wonderful and the owner was kind and welcoming. The artichoke appetizer was amazing and I loved the mushroom ravioli. Can't wait to visit again!

If you want good food in a relaxing environment on top of great service. This is your place! Darker Candle lit room adds to the ambiance. Service was attentive and exibited professionalism. The drinks were a good balance and the food was higher end Italian. This makes a great spot for a date and there is a Valet, so you don't have to worry about parking. Expect to spend about $50-$70 per person depending on drinks.

Great experience. Our waiter Manuel was awesome, very polite and making jokes the whole night. We got a seat with a view of 76 and Manayunk, it was fantastic. Our meals were great and the dessert was amazing. I was nervous about the valet because my car is really low, but it was no issue. You pull into the lot yourself and the valet runs a smooth, quick system. Bar room is a really cool vibe too. For 2 people with 2 apps, salads, dinners, desserts, coffees, and drinks, it was only a $152 bill, not including tip. I’ve seen people call this place overpriced, but I think the prices were on par for the experience we had. Overall awesome experience, will definitely be back again.

I recently visited La Collina Restaurant to meet a friend, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The valet parking made arrival easy and stress-free, and the atmosphere inside was perfect—elegant, warm, and welcoming. I enjoyed the crab bites, which were incredibly fresh and flavorful, paired with a perfectly made vodka martini. The bartender was friendly and attentive, adding to the enjoyable experience. It’s clear that attention to detail is a priority here. Overall, La Collina delivered on all fronts: service, food, and ambiance. I’ll definitely be back for another enjoyable evening.

6 of us were there for late dinner. We ordered couple items in each section from appetizers to deserts for share. The portion and pace were perfect, so we did not feel over full. Everything was just amazingly flavorful and delicious. The service was impeccable. And the dining space is really spacious and comfortable. We will definitely return!

I recently visited Lark, hoping to experience healthy and unique cuisine, as I often find American food a bit heavy compared to what I'm accustomed to in France. The food was absolutely beyond my expectations—truly delicious and well-prepared. However, the portions were quite small, which might leave some diners wanting more. Since I came without a reservation, the hostess seated me in the middle of an empty dining room, which felt a bit awkward. While the restaurant has a luxurious atmosphere with a VIP vibe and impeccable decor, the service fell short of the standard I would expect from such an establishment. The server seemed rushed, approaching me every couple of minutes to take my order, barely giving me time to explore the menu. When I ordered dessert, I hadn’t even finished eating when she brought the check—without me asking for it. In France, this would be considered extremely rude, as it gives the impression you’re being asked to leave. Overall, the food and ambiance were exceptional, but the service was disappointing and detracted from the experience. I hope the staff can improve on this aspect to match the quality of the cuisine and the environment.

I recently photographed a welcome/rehearsal dinner for a wedding at The Lark in their library room. I was really impressed by the space. It had beautiful decor, ambience, warmth, and a blend of natural aesthetics and plants that tie in the Schuylkill river and the ironworks surroundings. The views are gorgeous and it's such a perfect spot for an event! Highly recommend! The staff was so nice and my clients seemed really happy with their experience.

Did I just get served my kids' food in a bun? This time, this restaurant left a lot to be desired. I've been here a few times before and never experienced this. Have I been served the same food as my kids, except in a bottle with too much honey? I came here hungry enough. Disappointed. The hot honey chicken sandwich was a disappointment from the start; it was completely unsatisfactory. However, overall, the experience was disappointing. Good customer service and good food are both important in the food industry, and this visit did not meet those standards.

Had a delightful dining experience at the Tavern’s in the original location on Montgomery . It was so wonderful to be back! Food was delicious, had the roasted beet salad with grilled chicken and the service was attentive and delivered in a timely fashion. Can’t say enough times how much it was good to be back in the old space. Hoping that they’ll stay in the Tavern’s original home. The fantastic ambience nourishes the dinning experience.

I recently had a meal at this restaurant, and overall, this experience left a deep impression on me. These dishes have a delicious taste, are cooked perfectly, have a balanced texture and spices, and are paired with a rich and delicious sauce. The side dishes include crispy French fries and fresh, strong salads. The service was also pretty good. I will bring my friends again next time.

This was our first visit to Pescatore, but it definitely will not be our last! It surpassed our expectations, we ordered octopus for appetizers and gnocchi, Hasan went above and beyond, definitely recommend!

Everything was above our expectations. I ordered the special halibut risotto and my friend ordered braised short ribs. Both was delicious. As appetizers we ordered grilled octopus and Fritto Misto. We loved it. I definitely recommend.

I came here for the first time on a date night and everything was immaculate. Peaceful setting, excellent service and delicious food. I ordered the burrata salad and crab gnocchi and I was blown away. Bought our own wine and the waitress put it in an ice bucket for us. 10/10 will visit again
