Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Avondale – 2024

I really like this place. Always a great blending of flavors and just the right level of spice to beautifully warm your mouth, but not cause you to consider delaying your next bite. The blacken catfish is the base of several of the dishes. It always comes out piping hot and fresh. The various sauces with shrimp and crawfish accent the fish rather than hiding it. Servers (Gavin specifically this time) are attentive without being intruding and timed courses perfectly bringing the next as I finished one. Tea is my drink here. It is always good and strong. I admit that I wish that they had some nice adult beverages to complement the food, but I choose to forgo the adult beverages to enjoy the food here. I visit every time I am in town. Unfortunately I am so looking forward to eating that I forgot to take pictures of the food. Next time!

We were looking for something different to eat, we have found it. This quaint strip mall restaurant is a serious place for the southern Louisiana cooking. We did not have an appetizer. My daughter had a salad and corn dogs. Delicious and got devoured. The wife had the chicken strip. The spices and seasoning were spot on. They had a little kick and did not leave a burn in the mouth. I had the sausage poor-boy sandwich. Soft bread, delicious fresh toppings. Sausage was deep fried maybe 30 seconds too long. 6-inch and 12-inch options. Cafe style eating. Down home feel. The Wait staff are family, so they knew the menu very well. Alligator is on the menu but is seasonal in pricing.

Good place. Small but very comfortable. Good food good service. Everything had great flavor. Definitely going to come back to here next time I am in town.

I was looking for a restaurant to replace a different salad and soup place I favored for years but has since gone down hill with freshness and quality. Zupas is now my regular go to. Soft fresh bread for the sandwiches and the pesto chicken was so light and refreshing. Every order comes with a complimentary chocolate dipped strawberry which is a great addition for people who often want desert but are trying to stay away from a high calorie desert. The salad had plenty of dressing. The fresh drinks are made from honey and do not have a corn syrup flavor. They taste like a fresh batch of freshly brewed tea. Lastly the atmosphere was clean and service was quick and friendly.

We had a very enjoyable lunch here. Service was fast and I was on my lunch hour, so I got back to work on time. The food was fresh, the dining room was clean and the employees were outgoing and friendly. This was my first time going and I will definitely be back!

I went in today to get my usual order. Salad and sandwich combo. Too my surprise I can no longer build my salad to go with my sandwich. I was told if I wanted to build my salad it had to be a large. Or I would need to choose a salad on the board. Sorry I cannot eat a large salad with my sandwich. And I don't like any of your salad choices. So basically you took away my favorite place to eat. Guess I am going back to wildflower where they appreciate their customers.

Barrio Queen has a very nice ambiance - it's clean, contemporary, and comfortable. The service is prompt and friendly. The food was disappointing though for the most part. I enjoyed the chips and salsa, but I thought my dinner (chicken enchiladas) were not very good, and I could only finish half of my plate. I have had better Mexican for cheaper prices.

We finally decided to try this place out. We went in for happy hour and tried the 2 tacos for $5.00. The chips are salsa were served very quickly. We loved that two salsas came with the chips. The Pollo Deshebrado and Suadero Azteco tacos were tasty.

So super friendly staff. Great vibe! Large tables for family and some smaller ones for more intimate dinners. Amazing artwork and the food was very delicious!! Great souvenirs as they have a lil gift nook. Weather you are out on date night or bringing the family Barrio Queen is a solid choice!!

Very cool old school diner. If you like classic diners, this will definitely satisfy your urge. I had the farmers' breakfast, and the portions were ginormous. Quality food is a bit pricey but definitely worth a visit. Overall, 4 stars

TJ Homestyle Restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, but I can't recommend the country fried steak. The flavor just wasn't there, and it felt a bit bland. On the positive side, the rest of the menu looked promising, and the portions are generous. While the staff was attentive, I’d suggest trying something else on the menu for a better experience. Hopefully, other dishes are more flavorful!

15 stars out of 5! TJ's Homemade Restaurant is true to their name, HOMEMADE. portion sizes are large. Let's start off with the Giant Cinnamon Rolls, valid! Country stake and eggs, VALID! soup of the day, on Thursday 7/25/2024, homemade chicken tortilla soup and it was everything you will find comforting, and that spiciness that keeps you wanting more, you know like that toxic-x you keep returning to, hahaha. There is massive flavor in every bite that sooths and comforts your hangry soul.

Went for an extended work lunch with a co worker who is a frequent visitor, and I'm happy to say I am going to become one too! We want right at opening and practically had the place to ourselves for an hour. The owner was out server, he brought us samples of the house traditional drinks and made sure we were well taken care of. The food is absolutely astounding. I've never tried such a mix of flavors all together and was in heaven! The restaurant itself is decorated so well and there are so many eye catching features. I fully intend to come back with family and friends next weekend, and will become a regular as long as my bank account allows it!

This place is great! You can tell the owner is very passionate about this place and his culture. Without us asking he explained the cuisine and what the most popular dishes are. He explained this food is central south american food and that peru also has some oriental influence which shows in some of the dishes. The atmosphere is wonderful. I love the decor, the interior design, and the music selection. The food was delicious and the portions were large compared go most restaurants these days. I actually had enough to take home. Also the bathroom has a changing table for tge little ones and they do have high chairs as well. No booths or booster seats. I will definitely come back!

We had the best food experience tonight. The food we ordered was flavorful and delicious. And the service was attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered 3 different plates along w appetizer of calamari as wells as muracuyan cheesecake. Please do yourself a favor get out of your comfort zone and try this place. We will be coming back to try new dishes.

Went on a hunt to find a great Mexican Cuisine Restaurant for a graduation gathering. The outside does not do justice to the inside! Great atmosphere with colorful authentic decor that you would not expect. So much so that it was like being transported into to a different dimension just by the decor alone. We were further blown away with the expansive menu and meals selection to choose from. The service was amazing and answered all our questions about food items without hesitation. Our party of 14 arrived at various times and ordering multi- sample platters of finger foods kept the party vibe going until all guests arrived. Our orders were placed, one by one and food sensitivity’s were noted and served accurately. It was at first an eye feast just seeing all the various large delicious plates of food. Lots of taste samplings going on cause you just couldn’t help yourself! Happily one after another exclaiming the pleasure and satisfaction of their meal. It was the best and most memorable restaurant experience we had in years. We will most definitely be back! NO REGRETS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS, DELICIOUS FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! What are you waiting for!

Stumbled upon this place and it is truly a hidden gem! The interior of the restaurant was so unique and the food was fantastic. The portions are pretty big!

While our time here at Fiesta Mexicana wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great either! I popped in here with 6 other friends, last Sunday afternoon, and we were very excited by the smell of the food as we were walking in! That quickly changed by the smell of the sewer or backed up bathrooms, near our table! Our server was initially prompt with taking our drink order and getting us started with chips and salsa, however after our food was delivered, he did not come back around to check on everyone until we were finished and he was ready to hand off our checks! This was a problem, because two members of our group ended up having to get up and grab our own silverware and refill our own water at the bar! Additionally, we had fully intended on having a second round of margaritas, however, the opportunity to place that order never came! While the food was good, the margaritas were okay at best! Overall, not impressed and probably won’t give it a try again in the future!

Such a cute atmosphere. It definitely makes me want to visit an island. I had Beach Bowl which was a rice bowl with broccoli, red peppers, chicken, onions and hosin or teriyaki sauce. It was so good. Maya was so friendly. It was a great experience. I will definitely go back. Good service and food in a friendly island atmosphere

Second time eating here, and enjoyed it very much. The food is flavorful I will be eating here again. You definitely get more than you pay for, had to take my food to go and I’ll be enjoying my leftovers in the morning.

Working in town and visited on a Monday night. Fast friendly service at a table in the bar. Pretzel bites and cheese were really good. The pepper burger is amazing if you like pepper!

Zeta's Grill is one of my favorite places for Lebanese food! They have Mediterranean options such as gyros and Lebanese options such as tabbouleh. Nick is the best host and always fun and knowledgeable in whatever answers he gives about the menu. Nick truly brings customers back with his wit! If you love Mediterranean food, give Zetas Grill a try. You will NOT be disappointed. Whoever cooks is excellent!

Response to owner reply: yes agreed everything is more expensive but much like grocery there is choice to go with restaurants which don’t cost as much but are equally nice. Also, grocery is a necessity but eating out is a luxury. Hence why we will have to come less often than would like to. You guys are doing a great job regardless I am just voicing my thoughts as a consumer. Recommend making bread at the start optional and paid for, to help reduce prices elsewhere. We didn’t eat the bread so it went to waste plus I’m sure the cost of it was factored into our food. Been here a few times now. Everything is halal which is the main selling point for me. Food was wonderful yesterday and the service from Ashely was phenomenal. I would come in more regularly if the prices were a little less. Just seems very pricey for what it is but granted completion is quite far away. 5/5 for the quality and taste of the food, and for the service. Looking forward to coming back when the pocket allows it.

The food, staff, and service were delicious and amazing! I'm definitely going back!! The restaurant is due for a remodel and refresh. Idky restaurant chains think they can build a restaurant and forget about it. It's time for this location to match its food.

Ordered curbside pick up and called when I arrived the young lady stated she would be right out waited another 15 minutes still no food. Called back same lady “oh yeah I’ll be right out” the food was both cold by the time I got it. The chicken wings were not cooked thoroughly, and everything else had so much garlic it was inedible. Not to mention the straw for my drink was sealed at one end. The service sucks & the food will kill you

I never been here before but the it’s was def a great choice , food was very well flavored & tasteful, Ike I said definitely a score but I didn’t like the fact the water was nasty , like thick just weird taste , had to go get bottled of waters from car , penne pasta shells were a bit to soft & my salad greens were old , it was like almost bad experience but the food was good so yeah so now the frozen blackberries through me through the loop ! I wanted them on the side but not frozen !!! Now it’s like I’ve ate did my thing it’s just time to go !! Not even go order desert because no time for another disappointment ‼️especially coming from out of state , but other then that it was cool lil experience nothing worth bragging about tho @ the moment

So yummy. I haven't eaten Portillo's Chicago-style hotdogs in over 40 years. This did not disappoint. The only issue here in Arizona will be finding quality tomatoes.

How was this place so empty!? $22 for a large fry, double cheeseburger, large drink and a slice of deliciously moist chocolate cake! My meal for one was superb! I’ll know that when I walk past a mirror and ask myself why I’m not skinny! The burger was perfect. Not greasy. Very decent size. Pickles, red onions, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo came in it. The fries are crinkly cut and not soggy. I didn’t take a picture of my food, but the chocolate cake picture is attached. Everything was exquisite. Plus the employees were kind to me and my dog.

Best Beef sandwich ever! So delicious, I get Big Beef with sweet and extra hot peppers and Gravy. Highly recommend!

Was in the far West valley this past Saturday and Googled best Mexican Restaurant near Avondale Az. Raul and Theresa's popped up as well as a few others. I was sold by the authenticity of the food pictured on their site. I wasn't disappointed with taste and service. I would highly recommend this Mexican and American food restaurant even for an out of the way drive to try something tasty same but different atmosphere. Martin Alonso Jr. , Cindy and the rest of the staff were more than accommodating. I tried two different dishes under one combo since I was there between lunch and dinner. I wouldn't have asked that of them if they were slammed busy, to them or any other restaurant. Thanks again for being great host's during our visit to your very clean and authentic restaurant. Food and drinks as well as your party needs, this place can accommodate you.

Food was ok, service is bottom of the barrel they do not check on you, they check after we got the bill.. they add their own gratuity which is bull for the service. The cleaning lady was more helpful than the server. The horchata was trash, it tasted like tap water. This place sucks service and beverage wise, food was ok at best

I was in the area and happened to see this place. The reviews looked good, and they weren't wrong. I really enjoyed my chicken gyro and salad. I was given chicken lemon rice soup, which was incredible, and I ordered a tiramisu for dessert. Really enjoyed everything and will be back in the future.

Excellent selection of umami Greek cuisine. The complimentary soup is amazing. All the gyro options are exceptional. A positive step up from fast food.

My husband has been raving about this place for some time, so I finally asked him to take me here. The food is SO good. You get a free soup when you dine in. I had the chicken lemon soup, and it was so tasty! I ordered the souvlaki plate, which comes with 1 chicken, 1 pork, and 1 lamb skewer, salad, and pita. The meat was so moist, and the pita was soft and warm. They make the food fresh, so you might have to wait for the entrée but it will be worth it. Definitely give this place a try!

Delicious! I ordered the player with chicken kabobs and beef shawarma. The chicken was juicy, tender and charred perfectly. The shaved beef was flavorful and tender. The rice was perfect with a little lemony flavor. And I loved the flatbread with my oil garlic dip. Less than $20. I’ll definitely be back.

Everytime my and my boss come here the food is delicious!! The staff is super friendly and they know what you want before you ask for it. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting and the dining area is clean and tidy. I recommend the chicken kabob--it was delicious. I will drive across town to come to Pita Kitchen. They are awesome!

Wonderful food. Had a chicken shawarma plate, and while the chicken was dry and on the weaker side of flavor strength from what I’ve had at other Mediterranean food places, it was still enjoyable. It was thick pieces of white meat, where I’d also been used to more of a shredded appearance. The side salad on the plate was delicious, extremely fresh tasting with fresh cracked black pepper, and the apparently vinaigrette dressing was tasty without too strong of a vinegar taste, which I really like. Mmmm! The sauce they serve with the plate was delicious as well, mixed with the chicken as well as the pita quarters that are included with the plate. It was a fairly crowded Saturday late afternoon but the place was so remarkably and enjoyably quiet, with peaceful overhead music playing. Great atmosphere! I’ll be back for sure when I’m craving Mediterranean again.

My wife and I came to meet friends on a Friday night. The place was not busy. The people at the bar about four people outside and six of us but only two of us ordered food around 7:30pm. We didn't get our food until about an hour and a half. We noticed the cook just sipping soda staring at our group for about ten minutes. The server was avoiding us. When I asked about our food, she got snippy with me.

Burgers were Amazing, juicy flavorful, seasoned fries. Fresh Ranch dressing for kids chic tenders. Fried Green Beans are now a New Favorite for this clan. Jodi you Rock. She was super busy, made time for each guest!!

Found this place online as I did a search of restaurants near me. Went there on Friday night with another couple. All four of us thought this place was amazing. The food was delicious and so was the Sangria. We had the toasted ravioli appetizer and the mussels, both were delicious. The manicotti dish I had was so good. My hubby had the steak on fettuccine Alfredo and he said it was so so good. The service was friendly, fast and awesome. Lina was our waitress and she was friendly, funny, and such a good vibe. We loved her. I would definitely recommend this place and definitely will be a place we go back to, for the food, the service (Lina) and for the vibe.

Brought my daughter here since she loves Italian food. We both give it two thumbs up. Have been here twice, and both times had a wonderful experience. I realized that I don't like veal. It's wasn't the restaurant it was me. I also have never tasted veal, so I can't compare or rate it properly. The atmosphere is very romantical. Service was good, a little slow but good. Pictures were taken on the first visit, and I didn't take pictures on the second visit.

Pleasantly surprised! Small, hole in the wall, family owned. Come and support this establishment! Ordered the Fried Calamari, Penne w/3 meats & a glass of Riesling wine. Very tasty, thoroughly enjoyed it, would order it again. Our server Guadalupe was very nice. Appreciated the Italian music playing in the background. There are a lot of options on the menu. Can't wait to go back and try more.
