Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Augusta – 2024

Thanksgiving was truly delicious, The service was efficient, staff friendly and engaged. The food was plentiful with an open bar, appetizer bar with dips, veggies, cheeses, smoked salmon, etc. The food layout went from cold foods to hot with all the fixins you'd expect for turkey day, plus extras like Augustinos lasagna. The dessert bar had all the favorites, plus some little bites. If you left hungry, it's your own fault.

My family and I visited Augustino's to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The service was outstanding. The drinks were delicious and the food was good as well. I will definitely be returning!

Went to Augustino’s, with my sister and mother, on a Saturday afternoon for lunch following a home-going service I was in Augusta to attend. The overall ambiance was nice. We sat in the bar area and our waitress was nice as well. Most of the food we received was good. My only issue was with the chicken that was on my salad. It was undercooked and when I let my waitress know that, she told me that they cook every chicken to the same temperature so it couldn’t be undercooked. But I definitely know what undercooked chicken looks like. Nevertheless, I showed her the sliver of pink on the chicken and gave it back to her. She asked me if I’d like to have another chicken breast cooked, but I declined and ate my salad without the chicken. Outside of that, the rest of the food was really good. Neither my mom or sister had an issue with their food. Overall, I’m not sure if I’d go back again the next time I’m in Augusta. While the restaurant was nice, I didn’t like the feeling of telling someone my chicken was undercooked and them telling me it wasn’t when I could definitely see the pink on it.

My husband and I enjoy going to California Dreaming whenever there is one near us. The food always come out and fresh. The croissants are AMAZING with the honey butter drizzled across them. I highly recommend going if you have the chance. Also the in house made honey mustard 10/10 especially if you love bacon.

If you can make a reservation, do so because there is a high demand for this location! Still, it's worth the wait... The food is AHHHHMAZING (the honey butter croissants are to die for), and the staff is uber-friendly. Ask for Chep to be your server. He's great!!! I don't consume alcohol, but I can't fail to mention they have a nice variety of adult drinks, too. All I can say is ENJOY!

We went here for lunch and it was average. It was busy but the waitstaff was not attentive and neither was the management. If you like garlic (and I do) order the Shrimp San Fransisco. My husband ordered the blackened chicken pasta and it was average. The croissants were delicious with the honey butter! We sat outside because it was a beautiful day.

We had a great great great date night! Smooth vibe and ambiance. Noise, but not too loud. We carried a conversation with ease. Waiters, waitresses, and servers were on it like Goldilocks: not too much, not too little, just right. Food and drinks were nothing but class and quality and with that, keep in mind, you get what you pay for. I don't think the prices were unfair or unreasonable at all. But this is not your Denny's, not your Olive Garden, not your Red Lobster and there is nothing wrong with either of those.

Charm. Southern charm and Northern oysters. Fresh seafood perfectly prepared. High quality ingredients and expertly executed dishes served with friendly charm. A fancy place in a casual locale. Dress nice and enjoy the best meal in town. I think my favorite thing was the exceptional attention to detail in every thing that they did.

Very good! Came here with one other person and got six oysters on the half shell, a bottle of wine, the jumbo prawn and grits, the smoked bluefin dip, and the halibut special with peaches. Absolutely amazing!! The shrimp are the biggest I’ve seen and the wine was great! My friend said her halibut was incredible and so unique. Our server Hope was wonderful!

The steak was off-the-bone delicious, and the chef, hats off to you on a well-prepared steak with a mouth full of flavor. The restaurant is very classy and decorated elegantly for the ambiance. Asparagus and twice-baked potato hit the spot. Red wine is also great. The creme brulee was also perfectly made paired with a sweet strawberry. I will be back. The waiter was very charming and had a great sense of humor. Keep it up.

I always have a wonderful experience here. I came on a Saturday night around 7:30 (reservation made through Google maps), I was seated immediately and waited on promptly. My server (Brooke maybe, she was a sweet, curly-haired girl) was a doll. I ordered the Ga peach and the Goodwill 75 cocktails. Both were as pretty as they were good (and strong!). Burnt ends appetizer lasted about 3 seconds on the table. I would order a pound of those things, seriously, they were cooked to perfection. Juicy, tender, flavorful. My entree was the pork chop & opted for the herb mashed potatoes as my side. I also tried the blueberry creme brûlée cheesecake. Everything was wonderful. My only note is the creme brûlée could have been a little more brûlée’d lol and it could have been but I took it home and ate it a few hours later. I will always suggest this place for a nice splurge night/date night.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Edgar's. The food was absolutely AMAZING. Everything tasted so good, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Your meal supports the Goodwill programs next store to include providing education for this restaurant like cooking. It is a little pricey. It's worth every penny. The service was a little slow but overall our waiter was kind, informative, and got every order right. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and bright. Will definitely return.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast and I must say I was very impressed! The service as well as the food was on point! I wish I could remember our servers name but she was great! Large portions for good prices. We will definitely be back!

It’s is a rarity when EVERYTHING is perfect. But I’m convinced it is every time any one comes to the Washington Rd Metro Diner in Augusta. KRISTY was PHENOMENAL! She was so cool and was where she needed to be when she needed to be there. The food was good too. The avocado toast was good, the steak breakfast bowl barely had hash browns but Kristy took care of it before I even asked. I would drive an hour just to eat here! TEN STARS

The place was packed but we were seated immediately, and our waiter Rod came to the table a few moments later. He was very cordial and advised us of the options. The service was excellent. The chicken and waffles were absolutely amazing. The sweet and spicy sauce along with the perfectly crispy fried chicken is addictive. I'm already planning my next trip to try another dish.

Rhinehart’s is such a mood, the food is awesome and the decor and atmosphere are old country bar. Think Deep South bayou in mid Georgia. Anyway, my party got the fried cheese triangles which were essentially mozzarella sticks with way more cheese and a more creative marinara sauce. We also got the fried shrimp basket, the fried shrimp feast, and the bayou shrimp & grits. Everything was delicious and an American classic honestly, batter and deep fry. The service was a bit lacking and dismissive but whatever since the food came out pretty fast. So the two stars are for the kitchen.

Did not eat here. But a man shucking oysters gave my dad one and he said it was delish! The service was great. Drink menu was fun and unique. Great vibe.

The fried flounder was terrible. It had to much bread and it was mushy on the inside. The waiter was alittle weird about my not liking the flounder so i offered to pay for it anyway and ordered the garlic grilled fish with rice and salad and that was delicious! (I’ve never had an experience of paying for food I didn’t like and paying for it but Oh Well)

I took my daughter and granddaughter to this restaurant, tables to close together, packed and noisy, food was not good or warm enough. The only thing I did like was our waitress and the rolls...

I recently dined at Cheddar’s, and while they don’t typically offer outdoor dining, our experience was truly exceptional thanks to one person: Angelina, the bartender. When we mentioned our preference to dine outside, Angelina went above and beyond to make it happen, setting up a space where we could enjoy our meal comfortably. Angelina’s attention to detail and her warm, attentive service turned what could have been a simple meal into a memorable dining experience. She consistently checked in to ensure everything was perfect and added those extra touches that made us feel genuinely appreciated as guests. It’s rare to find someone who is willing to go out of their way to ensure guests have a fantastic time, especially when it’s outside of the usual offerings. Angelina is a true asset to Cheddar’s, and her dedication to excellent service will definitely bring us back. If you’re looking for a place where the staff truly cares about your experience, I highly recommend visiting Cheddar’s and asking for Angelina. You won’t be disappointed!

The food was the best I've had in a while, the sweet tea was great , and The pain killer mixed drinks was perfection. I really enjoyed everything, and everything we got was only like $65.00.

Food and service were excellent! I especially enjoyed the Grown Up Grilled Cheese and Chili. The Shrimp and Grits were ok - but not the best we’ve ever had. It certainly was a heaping serving of grits if you’re into that.

Sweet. A cute cafe in an interesting historical setting. The menu is diverse with healthy options and some vegetarian dishes that were very nicely prepared. The place has a full bar to go with both a kitchen and a bakery! The bakery is actually next door but with the assortment of cakes, pies and cheesecake on display you’ll never know. On my visit we had prompt and friendly service which is always appreciated and never should be taken for granted. I think my favorite thing was the Hoppin John soup which was tasty, filling and delicious.

Stopped by here for lunch stopping through town on a Saturday. We had a wonderful server, Leila, who was super sweet and told us which dishes she recommends. We’re glad we listened to her because her suggestions were good. We had the Havana Chicken with a side of Cesar salad and my husband had the Southern Gent Sammich with a side of corn chowder. I liked the chicken and the corn chowder but felt the rice that came with the chicken was not good. My husband enjoyed his sandwich. Lastly we finished with a slice of key lime pie which we both really enjoyed. In summary, the chicken itself, corn chowder and key lime pie were my favorites from what we ordered. Docking a star because the rice was not good with the chicken and that was a significant part of the dish. Thank you Leila for your hospitality!

If you’re craving seafood, The Juicy Crab is the place to be! The food is awesome and comes out all nicely packed up with napkins and gloves, so you’re ready to dive in. Plus, you get your own personal bag of seafood – how cool is that? The service is super quick too. We barely waited for appetizers, and our main meal showed up in no time. Just a heads up, the parking lot could use a bit more lighting, but once you’re inside, the vibe is great. It’s a fun spot for families, and the kids will definitely have a blast cracking into their seafood. Overall, it’s a fun and tasty experience!

The atmosphere was great and the food was incredible. Unfortunately, the service sucked. Our server seemed like he was doing someone a favor by working and was very inattentive. I had to get a drink refill from another server. It seemed like everyone else was being checked on regularly and taken care of. Only one of the soap dispensers in the bathroom worked, and barely. I would give it another shot for the food.

Really good seafood boil-style restaurant. It was just me and my wife at the time so food was brought out real quick. We both loved their juicy-style seasoning which tasted good. We're from an island so we of course ordered rice with our meal and it was a perfect pair. Would recommend it to people who are willing to eat seafood. They have a variety of shellfish to choose from and some pretty good appetizers. Would eat here again to try their other seasoning.

Do not judge a book by its cover. This is the best German and Italian food around. Better than anything found in Helen Georgia. Once ordered, the food came fast and hot, and the portions are big. Everything is of the highest quality, everything on the menu is a home run. I might add the Gypsy Sauce to everything I order. The Carmel Apple Mule has no business being as good as it is. Get a liter or two in a boot! Or get a flight and try authentic German imports. Cheers to our server, Jaydyn S! She has excellent hospitality, is very knowledgeable about the menu and can easily lead you to a new favorite meal. Will definitely be returning. You have got to explore the whole menu.

My Reuben sandwich and German potato salad was a good choice, but what was best is the red cabbage! Sweetly pickled yet with a slight tang, it was the star of the show! A must have if you visit!

Paid $7 for what was supposed to be a “crock” of French onion soup. The bowl was disappointingly empty, mostly bread and cheese, barely filling a quarter of the container. To be fair, there would have been more had leaked out of the flimsy container, soaked through the bag, and spilled into the bottom of my car where I had it sitting flat. Spending a bit more on better packaging would go a long way. The Beef Rouladen was tasty, but too small for a $17 dish. $30 is a lot of money for me to spend on one meal, but I wanted to treat myself. It’s decent food, but I felt let down, still hungry—not something I expected after spending that much. I feel foolish for wasting my money when I could have gone to a number of other places and gotten a more satisfying meal.

The restaurant has good southern vibe and serves tasty southern seafood. Their gumbo was awesome! Our server Caitlyn tried her best in explaining the dishes. We tried grits for the first time and loved it. Their popcorn shrimp starter was liked by every one in the family. The restaurant was not loud even though being full. The food was served within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The only scope of improvement would be inclusion of some desert items in the menu.

I was looking forward to having lunch here as I saw some wonderful pictures. Not so impressed with the meals at all, I had a shrimp wrap and it was bland. Hubby had a basket of grilled shrimp, oysters with yellow rice and hush puppies. He was not liking the presentation or the taste because the food was cold.

OMG! I’m pregnant and have been craving Rockefeller oysters 2 weeks now! I’m also a foodie so I was determined to find the best this city had to offer. After much research and reading reviews I chose this place.I was a little shocked because downtown Augusta is way different from downtown Savannah but don’t be fooled because baaaaby let me tell you ….. if I had one word to describe their Rockefeller Oysters it would be “ORGASM”!!!!! Yeeeees honey when I tell you they were the best I’ve had since I was first introduced to the them in 2016!!! They are soooo rich and full of flavor, I could taste every single ingredient!!!!! I will be back SOON! I also had a salad which was fresh and crisp with some of the best ranch dressing. Not sure if the dressing is housemate but it’s amazing. My only regret is I had a sweet tea before my salad and oysters were bung to me and I drank too much so I got full after only 4 oysters and half the salad. Also the atmosphere is mellow and chill, family friendly, date friendly, you can sit indoors but I sat outdoors by the sunlight. It was a nice experience. My server Gabriela was a sweetheart and very attentive and had a warm smile. The price was worth the quality. This is my new honey hole and the first of many to go on my YouTube channel !!!!!

I came here for lunch around noon. All the staff, from the host to our waitress, were extremely welcoming and accommodating. There was a party of maybe 12 that was sat before me, and even though their group was so large all of our food came out quickly. It was a great quick lunch. Lunch pricing was fair, establishment was clean. Had a great experience.

A $51 delmonico dry aged steak came out room temp. Lamb chops were dry, mac and cheese tasted like it's out of a box and the noodles were over cooked. The only good things were the soup and salad and the two ladies there were greeters at the door. I shouldve taken their suggestions and ordered the hamburger. Spending almost $200 on three dinners of room temp food is unacceptable. I'd never go back. My server was nice though.

Visited here tropical storm eve we were visiting from out of town and our friend brought us here. I loved the salmon w/capers & oysters! Food was very delicious & prepared with care. Nice selection on the menu. Would definitely return.

The service is great. I go there only for the spicy BBQ shrimp, though the taste can vary depending on the cook. I've been going there for the past 25 years.

I'm struggling to rate this restaurant because my experience was a mix of highs and lows. The host was welcoming and friendly, setting a positive tone at the start. However, the server was not very attentive, which detracted from the overall service. The food itself was a pleasant surprise—while the presentation was quite ordinary, the flavors were unexpectedly good (although the poached egg was WAY over cooked), making it a decent value considering current prices. The ambiance had a charming element with live guitar music during brunch, which added a nice touch, but it clashed with the "diner" style of the plates and table setups. Overall, this place has a lot of potential but "as is" it is only a three star.

About 10 tvs on the wall and a bar with comfy chairs almost the length of the building. The place was about half full. Wait staff was kind and very attentive. The fried gyoza was great. The mashed potato egg rolls were very different. Not bad, but not really that memorable. They needed some Cajun spice like some Tony Chachere inside, and the Cajun Ranch needed some too but overall good. The sushi was pretty but lacked flavor. It was just ok. The fish was fresh, so nothing like that, but it just needed flavor or maybe some salt or rice vinegar or something. It was all just average. I would go again because it was a really nice ambiance and welcoming, but what we ate was just okay. We will go back and maybe try burgers...

First of all, thank you Whiskey Bar employees for saving me and my husband's date night!! We loved every minute of this experience!! Awesome atmosphere, awesome drinks, awesome staff and awesome food!! JUSTIN (our server) was a 20/10, he needs a raise! Talk about a kind spirit, smiled and engaged with us. Checked on us frequently and was just simply a delight. India (the bartender) and possibly more... not sure... made the absolute best long Island iced tea we've had here. The food was fresh and hot and not one mistake was made upon delivery. We had everything we asked for and they were perfectly timed. Appetizers were there in 20 min and then the main meal in 15-17 min. The food was delicious, chicken wings, Buffalo chicken dip, the sink burger waffle fries etc... my husband actually said it was the best meal he's had while eating out at a restaurant in about 10 years. No joke!! We will def be back and we once again thank you all for such a wonderful experience.

I've only been here once but I loved it! Atmosphere was great, service was on point and the food was delicious! VERY nice whiskey/bourbon selection Had the WB(K) burger loaded with Ghost pepper cheese, def recomend it! Buffalo chicken dip with the pepper coated chips was great too, will definitely be back soon!

This is probably my favorite place for a burger in Augusta. They're juicy, clearly farm-to-table, and my order is always correct. The staff is friendly, and if it's busy, you can head next door to their other business, Metro Pub & Coffeehouse, for a beer or coffee that can get charged to your Whiskey Bar Kitchen tab.

So I haven’t been to Villa Europa in 15 years! We thought they were going to close down last year - come to find out they ended staying open - trying their hardest to continue to serve their community and those who come from out of the area. We started out with soup and snails - delicious French Onion Soup with Escargot & French bread and Bavarian Fritters! I had the French dip sandwich with fries (not pictured), my wife got the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo and shared it with our son - he loved it! And finally my mom got the Chicken Scallopini Piccata. So good! If you’re thinking of trying this wonderful restaurant - go there and support them! If it’s been awhile - it’s even better than I remember. They’ll be glad to serve you with a smile and a delicious meal!

My Sister Deborah and I thoroughly enjoyed our choice of having lunch here today. The restaurant was clean, cozy and the food was absolutely amazing! Thanks to our waitress Kallie. I enjoyed my Chicken Florentine Pizza. My Sister loved her Shrimp skewers, Crab Cakes and Salad. We're looking forward to eating here again soon.

We came here an hour before close and we were still treated very nicely and not rushed out even though we were still talking up until closing time. Very cute place. I only ordered a salad but for a $15 dollar salad I wasn’t super impressed… it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t spectacular and it came with a dry cornbread muffin. I would definitely try something else next time I go.

Love it at the Pinnacle club, the service is impeccable and really delivers a community vibe. They recently hosted our work Christmas party and it was flawless. People were complimenting the food and drinks for weeks after! It also has fantastic panoramic views of the city.
