This place is amazing! Fresh made salsa, steak fajitas were amazing! Very authentic in my eyes! The waiter was very welcoming and very attentive! The atmosphere was very relaxing! Prices very reasonable instead of paying 25$ for steak fajitas the price here was 15$ before taxes! Definitely recommend this place
Wonderful atmosphere. Food was delicious and correct. Server was terrific. But we were told that they're permanently closing Sunday November 24,2024
This Mexican restaurant in AJ is about as authentic as you can get. The atmosphere is quaint. The food is right on, portions are great, and service is excellent. Habanero salsa anyone?? They have it!

Had to leave the lake early due to the evacuation. So stopped by this bar to have a few before heading home. My fiance loves pull tabs, he's from Minnesota so had to get some. He won$400
What an unexpected surprise in the middle of nowhere! This is such a cool place with so much to see. An eclectic experience you must check out! And bonus, the food's good, too, and perfectly set up for live music.
Family and I live in the area. We camped at Lost Dutchman for daughter's birthday. We had seen the packed parking lot for hitching post and Tina's breakfast on the way in so we decided to stop there on the way out. We gave our daughter a choice between the two restaurants and she picked the one with pizza. When we went in we were greeted with a smile and my kids were enamored with how much there was to see all of the place. Everything on the menu looked really good so we were really excited. While we were waiting for our food my daughter was floating the idea of coming back the very next night for her birthday dinner, bringing her grandparents with us. But then once we got our food it was like we ceased to exist. The waitress did eventually come over and check on it at which point we asked for drink refills. We were informed that they don't do drink refills. You just buy another drink. So we only got drinks for the kids. We asked for a to-go pizza box and it eventually came with the check. Like 20 minutes later! I saw at least two other servers. As for patrons, they're anywhere from 2 to 4 at the bar and one other table of people. In other words, it was not busy. As we were standing up to leave, my kids picked up their drink cups and I asked for lids. Mind you the sodas were served to us in clear plastic disposable cups like short Solo cups. The server stopped us and informed us that we're not allowed to take drinks out. So decor was fun. Food was tasty. Service made us feel tolerated, not welcome

This is our local go to for a nice hot weekend breakfast. The bagel sandwich is a personal fave. Take note that they have a cheese option of provolone, Swiss or American even though it's not on the menu. I love it with provolone. So delish. The omelets are also very good and always hot. Home fries are also spot on. Try it, you'll like it. And if you like pancakes, try the blueberry. So tasty!!
What a jewel! We are visitors from California, and we WILL be back every time we return Excellent menu choices, and every dish got a #10 rating from all guests at our table. Excellent, friendly service from a staff that seems to have mind reading powers because they anticipated our every desire. They actually knew what we wanted or needed before we did! Final note: Don't let the crowds deter you. They are busy for a very good reason, and our wait for a group of seven was mere minutes. We also appreciated the ample parking provided for guests. GREAT FIND!
The Rueben was excellent reminds me of something you'd get on the East Coast The Waffle was very good as well. I will definitely be coming back when in the area They have a large unpaved lot adjacent to the parking area large enough for large vehicles such as motor homes or semi trucks as well

Just moved here from Chicago and found this little gem that tastes like home. The salads were super fresh, unlike others we have had here. I had the chicken parmesan and hubby had the Alfredo. Both were HUGE portions and delicious, flavors were awesome. Will definitely be back often
We had our church’s 30th anniversary today and had it catered by them. We got multiple trays of Spaghetti with Meatballs, Lasagna, and Baked Rigatoni. All 3 were absolutely amazing! I kept hearing people talking about how good the food was. They also helped us out tremendously by even being available when they are normally closed on Sundays. And finally, they were very fair in pricing. For the quality and amount of food, it’s a deal! We HIGHLY recommend Paladino’s Italian Eatery for your catering needs. Can’t wait to go to the restaurant now.

What an amazing place! It is so much larger than we expected when we walked in. We stopped in for just appetizers and a cool drink and were surprised by the selection available. Our server was pleasant and attentive, just what you hope for when dining out.
They were a great place for a birthday dinner! They were very helpful from the reservation to the service with drinks, foods, refills and checks. Everyone loved the food. Pretty sure nobody had to send anything back. The place was packed yet there wasn't even a long wait. The place runs well! I ordered an extra side of smashed potatoes to take home, too good!! The cheesecake and brownie are also must trys!! The margarita's were yummy! Even picky eaters can eat here, though they also have creative dishes and lots of veggies ! I didn't get a pic of my friends mushroom burger but he said it had a lot and it was good!
We randomly picked this restaurant and we're so happy we did! This was like going to a friend's backyard lunch. The staff and server/bartender were all so friendly and attentive. We shared some laughs and just had a great time. The food was absolutely amazing! Albeit an eclectic and supercasual place, it has a great atmosphere and delicous eats. You have to come and try it! Oh and nothing on the menu is fried!

Great old time Arizona decorated restaurant. We basically came here for that reason. Had the chicken parm noodles were a little under cooked but it was still delicious. Philly cheese steak didn’t have much flavor and the kids got a couple things they enjoyed. I would come back. I love these types of restaurants. If you’re looking for a western atmosphere and good food make your way out here!
Sad because we usually have good food here. Strawberry “Summer” Salad came in a warm bowl and strawberries were warm…not great on a hot Arizona summer day. “Candied walnuts” burned to a crisp and tasted old. The chicken was also dry. Spouse’s fries were old and gross as well. Very disappointed and won’t be back. When we were asked… twice…how our food was, I gave a disgusted look which was ignored. I should’ve said something, but didn’t want a free meal. After a long week of teaching I just wanted a good meal. ☹️
We decided to visit this place for lunch, and it certainly has our preferred ambiance with its unique antique decor, old-time interior, and a lively bar. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff, and our food arrived promptly. Our friends had raved about their Bloody Marys, even sharing photos from their previous visits. Unfortunately, this time, the drinks didn't quite live up to the hype. They seemed less potent than before and lacked the same delicious flavor. My friends meal was delicious and plenty of it! As for my order, I went with the BLT and fries, but it left me underwhelmed. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't stand out either. I wouldn't be inclined to order it again. We’ll be sure to visit Dirtwater Springs again and try a few more items their menu has to offer.
Los Gringos Locos is a vibrant and energetic restaurant that celebrates the rich and diverse flavors of Mexican cuisine while adding a unique twist that keeps diners coming back…
Los Gringos follows its name as an American Mexican eatery. I would not clarify it as authentic Mexican. However, the food and overall experience are good. Our waitress was very nice. We shared stories about our children, and she made us laugh. If you spent the day at Canyon Lake and are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat Los Gringos is a good option.
I Ordered a carne asada fajita to go. The smell of from the kitchen caught my attention from the street and carried me over there like a looney toons cartoon. The order came out pretty quick maybe...too quick. All the veggies in the fajita were raw , if I had dined in would my plate come sizzling or would it sound like a tree falling with no one around. I was stoked on the big bag of chips but then only had enough salsa for four chips.the meat was cooked well but lacked seasoning. Next time a I feel like eating tons of raw onions Ill go back in time and visit the great depression .
I’ve come here many times. Love the people. Shout out to Sam for her fat girl plate, It never disappoints. Highly recommend having a meal here. Enjoy the experience and the atmosphere. Keep it up Los Gringos Team!!!

Just a bad experience all around. The guy who was the cook was outside smoking when I pulled up and yes he washed his hands and wore gloves but somehow smokers don't realize that smoke still stays on them. The conversation that started was about politics and was very unorthodox. The service, food and atmosphere all were not up to par. Would not recommend.
Food was really good and we got it fast and correct. Our waiter took forever to appear, then disappeared after our food came, never to return. The woman behind the counter finally noticed we needed our check and took care of us and she was great the whole time.
Been coming to this place for years this was my worst experience ever the cook was very rude period. The waitress was nice but the place was dirty period. Looks like hes been. Using the egg ball? Forever. Should be changing that out often... Also my waffles were burnt in my sausage and bacon the cook was trying to hide behind waffle mix.. Also touching food with no gloves.

The service was non-existent. The lady who brought chips was the only one that appeared in a timely manner. Even they had only 4 tables with diners and 4 ladies in the reception area. No one bothered to come take my order, after about 10 minutes of eating chips & salsa, I was out of salsa (tiny bowl). I stood up and stared at the 4 workers chatting and standing around the front desk. Finally, someone was dispatched to take my lunch special order. I asked for carne asada street tacos (Taco Tuesday). The speed of order delivery was satisfactory, but it was plain tasteless beef, not carne asada. When I was done eating, again I waited and waited, finally got up and went to get my own small to go box. I never did get a bill, so I took my to go box up to the 4 ladies standing around the reception area, and they finally came up with a bill. It is obvious why Los Gringos is packed at lunch time, and Taco Giro had a total of 4 tables with lunch diners waiting for service, just like me.
Excellent food! I had the Molcajete Mixto and hubby had Nachos Papitas Fritas. Their drink menus look so refreshing. We will be back again to try other food items along with some of the adult beverages. Highly recommend this place.
If you don't already know, this used to be called Elvira's. Not much has changed other than the name on the outside of the building. Everything Inside still shouts the old name. Service was poor. Unbelievably slow! Bus boy was excellent, but waitress Yvette was unfriendly, and couldn't crack a smile to save her life. We asked if they had queso, and were told "no" even though it's listed on the menu. We saw at least 5 or 6 employees just standing near the cash register, while we sat and waited, and WAITED for someone to take even our drink order. There were only 7 tables with people in the entire place including ours. Food came out fairly quickly, but one plate was ice cold (even though she brought it with a hot pad), and the chicken quesadilla along with the burritos were bland, and totally flavorless. Quesadilla was nothing but shredded chicken(no seasoning what so ever) and cheese. Same with the burritos. No green chili or anything. Meat in a Mexican restaurant should have tons of flavor and flare! Not here. I'm not sure why they changed name, but ABSOLUTELY nothing else has changed. Don't waste your money here!

GREAT place to eat! Friendliest staff! Fast service, delicious food. I had bacon and eggs, my go to. But I've also had the chicken fried steak and it was so very good! Highly recommended!
100% a mom and pop, run down, sticky table place. And thats what we like! tzatziki on gyro was very tasty. Lots of flavor and chunks of diced cucumber. Server said it was made in house. Side of fries was an entire plate. Hubby had chicken fried steak (his go to) it was tender and portion was good. His eggs were slightly under his request of medium. But it was the only "issue" with the food. Service was extremely quick. She brought us multiple refills and gave us to go drinks without us asking. We'll be back next time we go to antique mall
Every aspect of this restaurant is amazing and worth revisting many more times. Service and staff were incredibly attentive and nice. The food was really great, served exactly the way I wanted and came to our table in about 7 minutes after we ordered, perfection.
