Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Davenport – 2024

It had been a while since visiting Thunder Bay & so glad we did. It was a Saturday night and got there about 45 mins til closing time & sat at the bar for a couple drinks & dinner. The bartender was friendly & closer to closing time as we ordered another drink, she did not seem annoyed or rushed Us at all. I opted for the Trio Medallions & they were delish, potatoes a little dry but I assumed it was the end of the night, so no need to complain. I would definitely order the meal again, and will absolutely return.

This place has gone downhill. Save your money. They don’t have enough servers. The servers are not well trained and a few do not understand what’s being said. Their food quality is not worth the money. The management is awful. Our plates were never bussed. Orders were incorrect. Water was not refilled. Food took an hour and a half to come out of the kitchen. Stay away. You will be happier.

First time visit and will not be the last! Wonderful experience, exceptional beef wellington and medallion trio entrees! We were lucky enough to get Becky as our server, and she was an absolute delight! Driven past this place for years - definitely should've stopped sooner!

Just passing through Davenport and so glad we picked this place to have dinner! We thoroughly enjoyed the crab beignets and garlic kale salad. The salmon was atrocious Atrociously delicious! And the CauliflowerTiki so so satisfying! The Pinot was the perfect pairing! Staff was excellent! Menu online is an updated so don’t look at posts over a month to pick

Very cute, trendy place in downtown Davenport. We were super impressed with the cocktails and entrees. We got the crab beignets, scallops and halibut. We loved each item! We sat at the bar and loved the whole vibe. Will certainly be back.

Half Nelson in downtown Davenport is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the menu offers a delightful range of creative dishes. The steaks, seafood, and vegetarian options are all top-notch, made with locally sourced ingredients. The craft cocktails are inventive and refreshing. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring a fantastic dining experience. Whether for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends, Half Nelson is a must-visit.

Such an excellent, high-class place in the heart of Iowa (Quad Cities)! Everything is impeccable: from the cleanliness of the place to the promptness of service, from the menu options to the freshness of the ingredients, from the elegant atmosphere to the kindness of the staff! We warmly suggest it to all the ones who'd love to have a sofisticated European food experience in the heart of the Midwest!

Very nice restaurant with a classy feel and great food!! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu isn’t large, but they do everything well and there’s a wide variety of options. The atmosphere is modern and bright with an elegant flare and great attention to detail! I would highly recommend their burgers for flavor and the fact that they come with loads of shoestring fries that are always hot and crisp to perfection! And their cheesecake was hands down the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! Not as sweet as some, but rather, just right; but as rich as a millionaire and as smooth as velvet with a scrumptious caramel sauce drizzled over top of it! It would be worth coming just for that, but of course everything else is excellent too!

Extremely high end food and the atmosphere is spectacular. Sit at the bar if you can you can really appreciate and enjoy the ambience. That dividing fireplace is so so cool. Then we get to customer service which is stellar. The food is incredible. I’m grateful for this restaurant. Will be back very many times.

Good service & food! Started with the fried mushrooms which were fabulous! My mom had the pork tenderloin sandwich which was huge! 2 meals for sure. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Everyone was so nice & they have a cute shop as well.

Great place to eat!! The chicken was amazing!! The steak had a lot to be desired but if you order anything else I promise you will not be disappointed! Definitely worth checking out!

My husband and I went here for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. They started us with drinks and bread (a mix of white rolls and pumpkin bread - both amazing). The service was quick, friendly, and personal. The atmosphere feels very homey and family-oriented. The food was delicious and had lots of flavor. I got the traditional Thanksgiving turkey meal. There are many options to choose from. They come with big servings, so I could only eat some of my food. We also enjoyed the beautiful gift shop. They have a wide variety of home and gift items to look at. We plan on coming again and trying more! Highly recommend!

Food was great, although I recommend getting the "petite" salad instead of the large one and adding meat to it because you get about the same amount of lettuce. We had to go ask someone to get waited on after 10+ minutes of being seated. Then at the end had to wait a very long time in order to get our bill and get checked out and there were issues with applying the coupon codes.With having a very restless toddler, all the waiting just really wasn't ideal. Our server was nice, but all the waiting makes me not want to come back, with a young one at least.

Granite City used to be an upscale better place to go for a good meal! I always ordered the Asian chicken salad, my husband the chicken tenders. BUT, Friday night the chicken tenders were very skimpy and overcooked! So DISAPPOINTED with my salad! It used to be finely chopped cabbage with lots if toppings & chunky pieces of chicken. This time it had lots of big chunks of cabbage, few toppings and a TON of old big chunks of red cabbage which I took out (about a cup). Definitely wasn't the old Asian salad, I won't be ordering it again, if I even go back! Waitress was pleasant though!

When potato chips are a side at a non-fast food restaurant, you naturally expect them to be homemade... not at Granite City, where you get a small pile of broken Kettle brand potato chips that they RIDICULOUSLY value at $3.25. For a brewery, their selection of beers is very small and they were out of several of those. Despite the fact the place was nearly deserted, the service was slow and the employees seemed mostly bored. Food was very average. Would not return here, there are so many better brewpub options in the Quad Cities.

If you find yourself in Davenport, Duck City Bistro is an absolute must! The food, wine, and service are nothing short of exceptional. Chef Jeremy has crafted an atmosphere that is both warm and inviting, making every visit a memorable experience. From start to finish, everything about this restaurant is top-notch—it's truly a dining experience you can't miss!

NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT!!!!! I have worked in the restaurant for over 20 years and have high expectations. So, to find a restaurant that checks all my boxes is amazing. My husband and I accidentally stumbled across this exceptional restaurant. The introduction was so fun. The food was amazing. The presentation was exceptional. And I truly can not rave enough about the service. The verbiage that was used was so professional. Unfortunately I feel customer service is lacking now a days and this place has it all. Can’t wait to go back.

Stopped in for a graduation dinner, as first timers the host showed us all of the menu items and features with an detailed description of everything. It is a really nice touch to be able to see everything before deciding! We ordered the Pommes Frites and Thai Chicken appetizers. The Pommes Frites are fried in duck fat and are paired perfectly with the butter its served with. The Thai chicken skewers are sold individually and are crispy and the peanut butter sauce is fantastic. I ordered the Smoked Stuffed Pork Chop and the kid ordered the Duck City Duck Breast. The smoke on the pork chop was perfect, paired with the apple sauce - so incredibly good. This was by far the largest pork chop I have seen- Ended up taking 3/4 of it home. I did get a bite of the duck breast and man oh man that is the true star of the show. I would come back and order this for myself next time. Perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, with a smoky flavor. I'll be dreaming about this.. Also, they have Coke ZERO! We also had an apple martini I think it was? It was very good, just cant remember the exact name. As for service - Doug was such a delight. Incredibly knowledgeable of the menu. Quick to refill waters and drinks, sometimes refills were almost magically appearing! He is a gem! I do recommend reservations as the Adler is across the street and the place fills up fast.

The team at Cavort recently helped me throw my high school class reunion private party and I can’t speak highly enough of Rhea, Heather, and their staff. I got so many compliments about the food, drinks, decor, and vibes, and they made it so easy to pull everything together. I highly recommend this spot for a night out or a private event and commend everyone there for helping to host a fun and memorable event. This is truly a Davenport gem!

What am amazing small restaurant. We only had appetizers and each one was a collage of unique flavors. The staff was super responsive and extremely attentive to our experience. You have to try Rhea's naughty ranch with the Maui onion kettle chips!!! See the photos! The crispy duck wontons, are by far the most flavorful, unique food experience you'll have in the Midwest!

This is a wonderful date night spot! We ordered the taquitos with chicken and the glazed crab rangoons for apps, and they were both very good. For dinner, I ordered the salmon with lotus root, which I absolutely loved! The vegetables accompanying the salmon were cooked flawlessly, and the salmon itself was also incredible. The salmon with the fried scallions was not only texturally exciting, but also just incredibly unctuous. My husband ordered the New York Strip, and was also very happy with his selection! The steak was cooked perfectly to order. Our drinks were amazing as well! Our favorites were the Banana Foster and The Girl Crush. I definitely recommend a reservation, as it filled up fast for the dinner hour.

From the moment we walked we were greeted by polite and friendly staff. We had no reservations on a Friday night and were sat within minutes of arriving. Our server was extremely attentive and very friendly. My salmon and shrimp risotto was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. I also love when management makes rounds and checks that everything is good, it's great accountability. Miss having a Biaggi's close to home, but I would absolutely visit again in the Quad Cities!

If we could give it 1 million stars we would!! The best food ever!! Waitress Donna Was wonderful, very friendly and down to earth. on top of everything best service I have ever had in my life. For the amount of food, the pricing was spot on. For my husband and I when we go out and spend a little bit more for our date nights. We usually do end up spending well over $100 on food that is not even close to touching what we had tonight. Will go again 100%!

Had a great family get together. Extremely pleasant and helpful in every way. Great job! I had an allergic reaction to my order but they were very understanding and help me find a dish I could eat! It was the scallops (no picture posted ) for that dish... Take my word yummy!
