Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Strathmore – 2024

Went here while passing through, definitely a good choice!! Me and my friend ordered a medium cheese pizza to share, and let me say it was a good choice haha! It was super delicious and it filled the hunger hole. Will be coming back, service was great too!

The Strathmore Station is an iconic business in Strathmore that provides amazing food at reasonable prices in an amazing atmosphere. This restaurant is actually split into 2 businesses. There is the lounge on the lower level with pool tables and VLTs and then the restaurant upstairs whichvis family friendly. Both serve the same great food and can handle huge groups of people. It opens at 11am for lunch and serves delicious Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches. The bread for the sandwich is baked there and is incredible! They don't skimp on the meat and toppings in the sandwich either. It was so large and delicious that I could only eat half after eating an appetizer and took it home. Even a couple of hours later it still tasted amazing! If you get anything with fries here, be sure to also order their gravy too. They give a huge ramekin of goodness. It is easy to find on the highway and there is plenty of free parking too. This would be a great place to have a party .

We had a wonderful server named Jessica who was super attentive and kind. The food was super amazing! The carrot cake was so big! The atmosphere of the restaurant was definitely train themed but very tastefully done ! 100% will be back

Their pizza is honestly the best I have tasted in a while, you can obviously tell they use fresh everything on the pizza. My personal favourite is the donair. I highly recommend everyone checks out this pizza place

New to the area , stumbled across Strathmore Pizzeria through a quick google search. Ordered quite a few pizzas for a quick get together and will def be a repeat customer. Great food and ready right on time of pre arranged pick up time. Thank you

Always a delicious pizza. We LOVE the thin crust with unlimited toppings and extra cheese. Is there a better Super Bowl meal if you don’t feel like cooking? I think not. lol Definately a “go to” for us. We ordered at 2 pm today, when we were thinking about it and asked for a delivery at 6-615 and they were right on time. Thanks Strathmore Pizzeria. You never disappoint.

Regular customer but last night our chicken with bean sprouts tasted funky, bad after taste and not edible. Called to let them know and was hoping they'd offer a credit for our next order and the lady was very argumenitive so guess that's it for us going back. Thought we were doing them a favor cuz it's always tasted great until last night but nope we must be wrong, Sad but that's the norm for restaurants in Strathmore, you're not allowed to say anything cuz their never wrong.

Service was good, picked up a dinner for 3 ginger beef was on par , rice was edible just not what i am used to , spring rolls were a little bit starchy , wonton soup was very authentic and good broth …. The cost was 45$ for dinner for 3 ( very good price) i will be returning for other menu items

First time visit. 3 seniors. Food was great. We ordered 3 different combos. Very tasty and fresh, large portions. We had good service. The place looked nice inside. We'll return!

Smileys is Definately a “small town diner”. It’s not meant to be the spot for a romantic dinner. HOWEVER…Smileys has consistently good food, and great service, and draws a big coffee crowd every morning. The breakfasts are always clean and reliable, the pizza could well be the best in town and any dinner option we have had (from Burger to liver to soup to fish and chips and more) has been awesome. Courtney is one of our favorite waitresses, always smiley and efficient. Smileys, you have become our go to grill!

Ordered fettucine Alfredo with extra sauce, had very little sauce and very little taste. Disappointed, it was way better the last time I ordered it a few months ago.. considering it was like $60 for zucchini sticks and 2 fettucine Alfredo’s it’s pretty disappointing

Delicious food and a great variety of menu options. It's usually pretty quiet when we go in, so the food usually comes in good time. Well-suited for different spice tolerances, and I had no problem with the heat of any of the dishes. Would love to try out their patio on the next nice day we visit, but the indoor dining area is also great. They also seem to have a large flex space adjoining the dining room, so could be a great option for hosting events or parties.

Food and service is always amazing. Have been coming here for years for dine -in and take-out and have never had less than exceptional food. Great portions and the food is truly delicious.

This is the third time we came here, in just a few weeks. I think that sums it all :-) A great variety, everyone found what they like, including gluten free or vegeterian. The food was VERY good and the dishes are big. The place is clean and the service is excellent. We highly recommand and we will come again. Oh, and don't miss the chocolate cake at the end!

Very nice lady ! She was doing an awesome job at food service. She said my kids had good manners and she gave has special service by giving them whipped cream on the kids menu ice cream.BEST RESTAURANT IN CALGARY! Her name is Shelby.If you see her,drop in and say hi!

Definitely recommend the beef dip and gravy! Quality meat and you can taste it and the gravy was nice and thick with a rich taste. The nachos were a good size but compared to the pictures we'd seen we got less toppings, despite paying extra for each topping. Staff were nice, maybe not the fastest but it wasn't much of a wait and they were busy. Reasonably priced.

A 10" pizza you wait 50 Min for pizza that was not a medium pizza. So disappointed. Charged 35.00 for a 10" Didn't even get our drinks served to us. Gone down hill...started with dine in had to take out cause we ran out of time. Got our drinks free... but wow what a rip off. Just lost a customer of 20 years.

Ordered pizza on phone. Girl was real friendly. Had to give credit card over phone or transfer to get delivery. No big deal but at end of my order she asked if I wanted to tip the driver. I laughed and said isn't a tip for a job well done? She wasn't sure how to respond lol. Anyway pizza was great and on time. Driver was great. Can't wrap my head around tipping ahead of time. Defeats the purpose of tipping.

Pizza was nice until I found a hair melted into it.

During my drive to the reserves for tour, got here and grabbed a bite and relax a bit. Servers come and greet you nicely and food is decent. It was sunny outside but they didn’t put the blinds down for vitamin D.

Had a new summer salad today off their new summer menu. It was amazing. It's a must have for sure. It's very tasty. Did not disappoint.

This is now one of our favorite spots. Three ethnic foods you can enjoy. Vietnamese,Thai and Japanese. We have tried all three and we highly recommend this little hidden gem restaurant. The owner is very nice and accommodating. The photos are from last week when we had gone for Vietnamese but I had the Thai ( yellow ) as I don’t care for spicy food. They do have hot and spice if you want it. Don’t miss out on this great restaurant in Strathmore.

One of the best go to places to eat in town, friendly owners, great food with excellent portions! With easy pickup or delivery options. Salad Rolls and vermicelli is my go to!

The HOG group I ride with arranged to have our Director Barbecue at Mike’s on Saturday June 22. Mike and his staff did a fantastic job setting it up for us. Mike was fantastic to work with getting things ready and picking buffet items. Food was fantastic, great choices, fresh and hot. Thanks again to Mike and his staff for making our day of riding end on an awesome note.

We had picked this spot before arriving in town due to its menu variety and we had a great experience. The kids each had the chicken fingers & fries - kid approved! Parents had the Brisket Burger and Hawaiian Pizza with a Cherry Shake. Atmosphere was great with all the 80' memorabilia on the walls. Looking forward to going back again soon!

For the price I payed the food was subpar at best. 7/11 has made better food. The food seemed like it had been sitting out. The service was good, could have been better as there was few other people in with us. One of the servers was sitting on their phone ignoring their job. The bottled beer was the best part of my visit. I would not recommend unless you enjoy bad food. I'm sure it's a good place for locals, but if you're passing through or visiting I recommend passing on this option. Can't expect much from a bar that's attached to a gas station.

The chicken balls are fantastic. The food was fresh and delicious. The fried rice wasn’t greasy and had lots of flavour. The vegetables were crunchy, just perfect. Would definitely come back again.

The best Chinese food I have ever had across Canada! From Ontario to BC I have never been blown away by Chinese food until I found King Palace. The food could not have been fresher and tastier, cooked to perfection, the sweet and sour pork was mind blowing. I will definitely be travelling to Strathmore just for this restaurant.

Clean, staff and service was great , big menu, picked up a dinner for 4 won ton,ginger beef,lemon chicken,chow mein, fried rice, spring rolls, egg foo young,mixed veg , chicken balls …..highlight of the meal was the ginger beef i would recommend kings palace to my friends and family ….i will return for future menu items

Great food and quality of service. We were lov9ng all the different tastes and the variety for Sunday lunch. And my son had tons of room to rstretch his legs and watch sports and TV.

Stopped in this nice find, drive by this place weekly on my way into Calgary always wanted to stop in but no time. Well this week had the time. Starts off with great access from the TransCanada, of you are in a big rig there is limited parking on the street. Entered into a clean welcoming dining room. Buffet is good sized not gigantic. Good choices and topped up by the service staff's watchful eye. Lots of battered meats to perhaps fill you up faster. Good options for dessert as well. Priced very well and reasonable. Would definitely recommend and I will definitely make time to stop in sometime in the near future.

Great food. Better than Chinese mall food. Family owned and super friendly staff. Highly recommend. We are regular customers there.

This restaurant is probably one of the best places to eat in Strathmore. I had the special the last two times and have no complaints. Hubby loves the clubhouse! You make awesome pie and your beef soup is the best!! Good value and fantastic service! Cheers and five stars.

The service here was OK the staff seemed to be friendly. As for the food that was another story ordered my eggs over easy they all came hard potatoes bacon-and-eggs all tasted the same. Was very disappointed I used to like husky house maybe it was just an off day I will give it another chance in the future to be fair. But as it stands service is not enough to uphold a restaurant's food that should be your number one concern and it didn't taste.

This place is pretty packed ar lunch time so if you're in a hurry I recommend getting there a touch early or come for just after 1. That being said there's a good reason they are busy. Their lunch special changes every week but is always really tasty and a great value. The sandwich is generally half a sandwich for the special with a drink and a side of either daily soup or salad. Both the soups and salads have always been extra amazing good hearty quality foods. The ambiance is super warm and cozy and the staff have always been smiling and pleasant whenever I've been there. Not to mention the prices are perfect considering the actual good quality of the ingredients. You can really tell when a business gives a darn about food and people <3 thanks for the wonderful experiences!

I am very happy to find this jewel in this town. Cozy hearty comfy…and awesome food! Definitely it was worth a visit in this snow on foot!
