Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Rocky Mountain House – 2024

The Smokey Barbeque Lime chicken wings that I ordered were the best, fresh, most succulent, flavorful wings I have ever tasted. The restaurant was impeccably clean, and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend Rocky's Donair for everyone looking for a premium dining experience.

Ordered a super donair on my way to work. Opened it up to take a bite and there wasn't one vegetable on it. Dry meat in a pita... Hell even a little sauce would of made it a bit easier to swallow. So disappointed

Popcorn shrimp were amazing but the pizza was... watery? Like wet crust underneath the toppings, like the veggies were sweating. Dudes inside were pretty cool though.

I'm not from rocky I stopped in for a beer while the girls were on the main street farmers market the waitress was nice ended up having the maple wings ..super good ..lots of tvs for sports

Rockies is the kind of pub that George Thorogood would sing about. If you want to have one Bourbon, one Scotch, and one beer, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a blue collar place where Larry and staff know your name, feed you well and keep your drink full. Good food, good prices and friendly staff.

Hooters really good waitress wasn't, I think she might have just been having a bad day.

Delicious road food! Breakfast is all day, complete with home fried potatoes! It was exactly what we were looking for, just a chill place by the gas station. Love it. Small town vibes. Good home cooked food for a great price.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and it was good. Service was great, constant fill ups of coffee and the portion sizes were great. Food was hot and we did enjoy it. Very quaint and dated inside but makes it very cute. Definitely worth the stop! ☕️ …

When ordering, the prices have gone up 3-5$ from the menus posted, and when we ordered our food I asked for extra hashbrowns on the side and so did my fiance, when we got our food she has a small side of hashbrowns and I didn’t get any, then when we asked they said that the hashbrowns on her plate were for the both of us, we each paid 5$ for a handful of hashbrowns, food portions are small and pricey

The food was westernized chinese food made fresh. It was a nice treat to try it out. Very filling.

The food was good, nothing extravagant. The restaurant is in disarray. It’s half restaurant half stock room in the dinning area.

We had THE BEST experience here! We showed up just before closing, not realizing this until after we sat down. We were welcomed with open arms. The owners were so friendly and made us special plates that were absolutely enormous! We felt really taken care of We'll be back next time we're in town!

Brought my extended family here on the weekend on the recommendation of a friend who is local it was a great restaurant for us we all enjoyed our meals i really like the hot turkey sandwich

Food is good, waitress did her job, no extra. The only complaint is the high price. It says Diner & Pizza in the title not 5 Star Michelin. Would eat here more often if not for it being 10-20% over priced. It’s too bad, the foods awesome.

Service was exceptional. Had lasagna, same as BPs flavor (average) and style. Noodles with sauce splashed on top. over priced for a bowl of noodles at $ 19.50 Probably same price as BPs but not sure. Thought it would be a layered one. Local beer was excellent. Nice, clean place.

On my annual trip to Rocky, I like to find various options for lunch before driving back to the city. This trip, I found the New Dragon Palace. I called and ordered the #4 dinner for one. It was around 2:00pm after the lunch crowd. I walked in and decided to sit down and eat instead. The lady was very nice and courteous to me. It appeared to be a family run restaurant. She returned with my order and I was so surprised to see the portion I got. By the time I felt full, there was still half a plateful left. She brought me a take out carton for my leftovers and we ended up with a very pleasant 15 minute conversation. She was a Chinese lady and I am married to a Chinese lady also. I was very impressed with both the food and the service and wholeheartedly recommend the New Dragon Palace to everyone. I had sweet & sour chicken balls, beef chop suet, breaded shrimp and chicken fried rice. Everything was clean including the bathroom and next year I will visit them again. Parking was close by and there were no stairs.

The pork was great, the spring rolls were good, the rice was good, the chow mein was underwhelming. It just didn’t taste like I was used to. Everything was cooked properly. Half the restaurant is shut down including the buffet and there is restaurant equipment everywhere on that side of the dining floor.

Was not very happy with our dinner tonight, clearly told her i wanted wontons but they have me wonton soup. When i called to tell them they didn't seem to care and would charge me $5 delivery charge to correct it. Ordered almond chicken which is supposed to come with a brown gravy, also not included. Will not be ordering from here again, definitely not worth the money. Ordered over yhe phone and order wss not ready when i got there.

One single item ordered, 3 things wrong with it. I ordered a Medium coffee with 1 cream and 2 sugar. 1. The coffee wasn't hot. Not only was it not hot, it wasn't even warm. Did someone return it and they had it sitting there waiting for someone with the same order or something? 2. The cream was chunky. Not gonna drink chunky cream. 3. The cup wasn't even full. I noticed that when I was 10-15 minutes out of town. That's when I typically crack my coffee.

I am so sick of the service here lately. 99% of the time I have to pull ahead to wait for my order and I end up waiting between 5-10 mins. This is supposed to be a fast food restaurant but since they got new owners and/or managers, the service has gone downhill. The managers need to train staff to be more efficient at their jobs so that customers are happier. They also need to work with their staff to really pay attention to the orders so that when you order an item minus 2 ingredients, the customer doesn't end up with an item minus 3 ingredients. I am not blaming the workers because they can only do their best if they are trained correctly. And it should not take 10 mins to get a latte when it is slow. If you need more equipment, get more equipment. Do better McDonald's.

The ice cream machine actually worked! Plus, the kitchen staff got our large order right at 1:00 AM.

Heard that they were under new ownership and figured we'd give them another shot - so glad we did. Asked for a substitute and they not only obliged, but gave us bonus fries! Food was incredibly fresh and tasty. Thank you so much!

Everything was good last time. This time is fine, but Coleslaw. It tastes weird. I might try again and if it's still same, never try again.

I tried two of their new bowls yesterday and was absolutely blown away with flavours! The staff was friendly, aware and able to answer all questions. Really enjoyed the Indian Butter Chicken Bowl as well as the Mediterranean Balela Salad!

This is my third time here, I've enjoyed the food and smoothies every time. The customer service is very friendly and I would recommend this establishment.

The foods great but I’ve never been in and out in under 15 minutes. They only ever have 2 people working so even when it’s just 1 other person in the store your waiting and if your just getting a juice but the guy in front of you orders 6 sandwiches your going to be waiting 25 plus minutes as they don’t have the staff to do more then 1 menu item at a time.

I'm not much of a salad fan but I absolutely love their green salad! To be honest there isn't much I've eaten here I didn't like. The food is always good. When I order a steak it's done right. The pasta is good. The other options are good as well. Prices are reasonable. I always trust a place when they have a good following, which they do. I enjoy this place and would frequent it more if I lived in Rocky. We're only around for about 2 months every summer but then we eat here when ever we can!

Although service was a bit slow the waitstaff were great. I had the complimentary hot breakfast, which was well cooked according your preferences. Those hash browns were super delicious!

Few issues: - Staff picked up phone over tending to a person waiting to be seated. Waited over 5 mins for a not-so-busy establishment with open seats the whole time - They were not able to accommodate the dietary restrictions of not eating pork. It's odd not to have any turkey or chicken sausages, but it happens I guess. I was expecting to be provided an 'extra' egg, or toast, or hashbrown but I was instead told that, " I don't need to have any meat/sausage product..." - Very sorry plate of food, asked for a fried egg but was asked if scrambled was fine. Very odd indeed - Oh and they forgot to include the toast... and the experience was so lacking that I only realized this once I was attaching the photo to this review. Yikes, never will I go here, complimentary or not. * this was part of the complimentary breakfast for staying in the hotel *

We ate dinner here in Friday night because they offer a full gluten free menu. The food was okay. I had beef lettuce wraps. My son had a GF kids cheese burger. He didn’t like the meat and I told him that’s fine don’t eat it then we don’t like to take chances with meat….. the lettuce wraps were fine. If I went back I’d order something else. Kinda salty and too much mystery sauce plus I wasn’t expecting any nuts in them but maybe I mis read the menu. My other kiddo has chicken fingers help said they were good and ate all of them. My husband had a grilled chicken breast. He ate it said it was fine also. It was crazy busy when we arrived at 7pm and the server was not inclined to even seat us which wasn’t very impressive she sorta tried to suggest we should just leave but there really weren’t a lot of other GF options in town so we didn’t really feel that made sense to leave for us. Anyways it was fine take it or leave it but you won’t me missing a lot if you eat somewhere else.

We had supper here on Friday july 19th it was excellent really good portion sizes excellent prices and service top notch. Would definitely recommend the fo4rty eig8t for any one who is passing through on vacation and likes to support local businesses.

We really enjoyed the food here. I liked their pizza crust and the size of the nachos were huge. The amount of food you get for the price is very reasonable. I'm pretty sure we'd eat there again. The only downside was the wait. They weren't busy (more empty tables than seated tables) and we had to wait maybe 45 min for the food after we ordered. Maybe the kitchen was short staffed?

This place was amazing. Had no idea what I was walking into. But everything I had was great. Spareribs app the rhe 21 ounce lamb and added a lobster tail. Service was fast and super friendly. A little hard on the wallet but everything tasted fresh the side veg was a little small but still cooked perfectly

My wife and I drove to Rocky Mountain House to visit Crimson Lake and Abraham Lake. We stopped at Cucina Restaurant to have dinner, and it was fantastic. My wife had beef bulgogi, and I had steak bites and Carbonara. We enjoyed our date there and I am sure we will keep coming back.

Service was supreme! The Beef Bulgogi came quickly out of the kitchen super hot, & stayed that way being served in a cast iron pan. Choice on the spiciness of the Champong was welcomed & was beyond expectations! Great spot, clean & comfortable.

We picked up some sandwiches and treats from this little place on the way into the mountains, and they were excellent. The cafe is really cute with a great atmosphere and there is a good selection of lunch items as well as treats. The price point was excellent, we got a sandwich, a wrap, an enormous piece of pie and a cupcake, plus tip, all for under $30. Pictured is the Cranberry Turkey sandwich, which was delicious, the bread is especially nice. I highly recommend this little place for anyone in the Rocky Mountain House area.

Amazing coffee shop in RMH. one of these places make you regret going to chain coffee shops all the time ignoring such local gems in little towns. Coffee was not bad, chair and small table was not cleaned after previous customer but they were really busy at the time, decorations are awesome and very nice, you can find something special and beautiful in every corner. outdoor seating is available as well. parking outside depends on the time of the day. young ladies helping were nice, polite and fast. Overall a must to visit if you are staying or passing through RMH.

Boyfriend and I ordered food to take home, when he went in to pick up the order every waitress would ignore him and walk to the kitchen, not greet him or even acknowledge him. He ordered a custom made fettuccine which had mushrooms, extra cheese, and shrimp but once we arrived home his pasta only had 4 small shrimp. So very disappointing that they would cheap out on the shrimp. Definitely won’t be stopping there! Guess next time we will look for a different place to eat! I’m sure rocky has lots of wonderful places that have good customer service and don’t cheap out when you’re paying $30 for one pasta. I can buy 3 bags of shrimp for that.

We were not able to eat the carbonara pizza because it was too salty. We asked the manager if it’s typical, she said yes. The manager also said that if she will replace the same pizza then the taste will be the same. My friend asked for diff flavour instead. The manager (Debbie) was rude, not polite and no customer service.(Location: Rocky Mountain House, AB)

Lexi was a great server, she was very friendly, and efficient, even though she had a lot of tables to look after, we were very satisfied with her service…. And we got plastic straws and didn’t pay for a to go bag like in Edmonton.

We’re just passing through Rocky Mountain house and looking for a place to eat. This is a cute and nice sushi place. The ramen soup is good. The sashimi is good cut sizes too. Sushi rolls are good too. Must stop by next time …

I had a wonderful experience at Bang’s Bistro. As a seafood lover, it is really hard to find fresh and good quality seafood. Bang’s Bistro has excellent quality and their food is authentic and delicious. I enjoyed miso soup, tuna and avocado rolls and a specialty dessert. I highly recommend Bang’s Bistro and look forward to returning.

An excellent Japanese restaurant in all regards. The staff is very pleasant and efficient. The food is top notch and satisfying. The entire place is very clean
