Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Wetaskiwin – 2024

Ordered the roast beef sandwhich with the beef dip and mashed potatoes. It was so delicious, I was really happy I ordered it. The rest of the family made their own choices, and they commented on how good thir choices were as well. The service was great as well.

The food items were very tasty. Lacking in the temperature of them. The butter would not melt on my veggies. First time I have ever eaten a soggy veal cutlet but it was tasty. This place was quiet.

The service was kind of slow, But if you want a really awesome burger, Please get the Ultimate Mozza Burger, doing a little better

We discovered it after shopping next door. I got the Baby Back Ribs and they were thick. I could only eat half. So we went back a second time. The pile was even bigger. I only ate 1/3. Excellent value for $25. My wife got the bison burger at the waiter’s recommendation. It was an excellent suggestion. We’ll definitely be back again.

My wife and I really enjoyed the food. The presentation, the quality, and the flavor were very good. The staff were great too. Our whole experience there was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

Castle Restaurant was so great! The portion sizes were definitely more generous than my stomach could handle, and even my husband didn't finish my plate (which is rare). Service was friendly, food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was comfortable. We didn't feel rushed at all, and had a really good visit. The waitress had great timing on checking in on us every time, and was quick with orders. Thank you!

We met with friends at Fresh Grill for Sunday brunch. I had the avocado burrito, with the side potatoes and a stick of fruit Which was excellent. I couldn’t believe all the choices, two types of bennies, pancakes, lots of breakfast items that you would expect. And a solid lunch menu and licensed drinks as well. The place is located dt Wetaskiwin lots of parking. Servers are very friendly and service quick and efficient.

Hubby and I went there and ordered the cheese burger, fettuccini pasta, and calamari - everything was perfect (generous servings) and so tasty! The customer service and food were excellent. Must try if you’re around the corner, it’s worth the stop!

We were in Wetaskiwin for the weekend and saw the great reviews for this place and decided to try it out. It wasn’t very busy when we got there, but we were so impressed by the food and service. Our server was friendly and great, and the food was incredible. Each of us were completely satisfied with the quality of our meal, the freshness, and the portion. They had so many menu options and although we all ordered very different things, everything was perfect.

This is one of the most unique and amazing restaurants I have EVER experienced. Family run, incredible service, and the food is unbelievably good! A dill theme runs through their menu and the steaks are really next level. I came for the Spicy Pig Poutine and enjoyed the Prime Rib, Dill Soup, Ultimate Grilled Cheese... I am just scratching the surface! I will be coming back EVERY time I visit from Florida. Every Time! Shout out to Craig for amazing service provided with class, humor, and master-level interactions.

Amazing food, loved the steak but! I haven’t been here for a decade and I was hype to finally have fish and chips again… sadly they don’t serve it anymore ! BRING BACK THE FISH & CHIPS!

This restaurant is full of wonderful food, fantastic staff and such a joyful environment. We have always had the most amazing servers, and the food is so unreal for such a hidden gem!! The dill pickle soup is amazing, and the 3 course striploin dinner is a favorite!

Delicious, top-notch, fresh sushi. Best sushi in Wetaskiwin (and Edmonton, in my opinion). My partner and I are big lovers of sushi and have had sushi from several places in Edmonton and BC and Seoul is by far in our top 4 places to go. Has a nice atmosphere and private rooms if you are looking for something more intimate. Prices are comparable to any other sushi place. Be prepared to spend at least $80-100 if you want some variety (Based on 2-4 people sharing)

I didn’t enjoy the sushi. The rice was gummy and dense. Not enough avocado in avocado roll, the tako ( octopus) was too simple needed some crunch. Almost $40 with a green tea ( bag)

A visit to Wetaskiwin led to lunch at the Seoul Restaurant which was absolutely divine in terms of food, ambience and service for Japanese/Korean cuisine; The decor and positive vibe is soothing for the soul and I will most definitely recommend Seoul far and wide in my circle and return again for certain when visiting Wetaskiwin; the Kimchi pancake was delicious and the bento box too; kimchi is excellent nutrition for our microbiome along with the miso soup and overall tempura prawns were not over fried and simply perfect with the sweet/sour/hot special sauce of Seoul's! And whilst we were the first at opening 11:30am, in no time the place was full. Plenty of parking also as a bonus!!

Out for a ride on the bikes, we stopped here for a snack and refreshments. The food was good, our waitress, Atlanta was terrific, and the patio absolutely lovely. If you want to catch a sports game on TV, they have lots of them. Also if you want to throw some money away, they have a lot of VLTs. Lol. Great sports pub with good food.

I ordered 3 meals for pick up, only got 2 meals, and the waitress said that she only heard us say the 2 meals, even when she confirmed 3 meals back over the phone. 1 meal was fish n chip, and the portions of fries were a lot smaller than usual, and the fish was dry, Normal get great food, and service here with good size portions. In total, I paid $50 for two meals. I won't be back in a hurry for sure.

Barney's has gone down in the food taste, since I started going there, but I will always keep going back. To me, this place has the best atmosphere in town. They have a beautiful enclosed patio. It is quiet. The pond, fountain and green space make it a peaceful and relaxing place to wind down for drinks or dinner. Thats the other thing, their drinks are good. They have a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. My butter chicken was very salty and did not taste like butter chicken. I guess it is what I would expect by ordering ethnic food made by a cook that was most likely not the same ethnicity of the dish I ordered. None the less, I ate it all, so it clearly wasn't that bad, but it was no Pan Flame. Others at my table had the salmon and they were happy with their order.

The amount of flavors is absolutely amazing, bone in or bone out, the perogie poutine is to die for!!

Visited this place for the first time today with my kids. We tried a few wings of what is on the menu, and boy am I impressed.The chicken wings were crunchy, flavorful, not fatty or greasy !!!! Service: Really nice staff, and I had a nice chat with them. Answered all my questions and even gave me some delicious recommendations! Overall Opinion: This is a great place to bring friends or family, share some fun flavors, and try a wing that is fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. Will come back definitely!!!

My husband and I went here for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The tables have fun crosswords which was great for passing the time. There were soooo many delicious flavors of chicken wings. I am excited to go back to try more. I also loved the pierogi poutine. Definitely would recommend!!

I used to have to go to a different place for breakfast every time I am in Wetaskiwin which is pretty regular lately. This time I found this little Gem!! The food is top notch and absolutely delicious! I cannot rave enough about the service! They are quick and check on you to make sure everything is good or if anything is needed. They clear the plates promptly, and are super friendly. The place was clean and inviting. This is definitely my new breakfast place when I visit Wetaskiwin.

I have ordered take out breakfast more than once. I never learn because the food is always undercooked. Just ordered today and my potatoes are still hard! Yes, I'm hangry about it. Dining in is awesome though.

Our large family enjoyed the buffet on the weekend, excellent quality food. Not a huge selection, but they kept it stocked for everyone there and brought out new desserts throughout our time there. Good value, nice service, will absolutely be back... We are excited to try the regular menu also!

Food was terrible! It's like they used left overs that customers left on their plates! Chicken chop suey all it had was cabbage that's it! And a tiny piece of Chicken! Beef and vegetables, 2 small carrot pieces and all cabbage 3 pieces of beef. The sweet and sour pork was tough and tasted like I was drinking salt water out of the ocean! Do not recommend!

Update... under new management and nothing tasted the same. The plates weren't left empty and the left overs did not get eaten as no one liked it unfortunately. Definitely a disappointment as this was the best place. .................... Best place by far in Wetaskiwin and even better than ones we've tried in Camrose! Fresh food and friendly service. The Singapore noodles are amazing. Anything we have ordered has been fantastic. Our family definitely recommends Tao's and appreciate the work that goes into their amazing food!

LEGIT. SO GOOD. I literally just go home and I opened my order.. LOOK AT THIS. This is just for one! Everythings so good. The people there are so nice and very welcoming. The portion of the food, the quality, the taste, SO GOOD! Will definitely go back and will definitely recommend this place to anyone

Good food for the price. They are open for takeout only. Portions are packed full. I purchased 4 different dishes (Ginger beef, sweet & sour pork, chow mein, and plain vegetables), and it will probably last at least 4 meals for 2 people and cost $61. Will order from here again.

Great service, great food we had the italian meatballs pasta and truffle chicken pasta with added truffle cake which was the best to end a great meal. Highly recommended!

Terrible place to eat anything. Visited day before yesterday and ordered Dal makhni and naan. They are making people fool by serving anything. They made daal makhni with chana dal and moong daal. Which is supposed to be urad black whole daal.Customer service is so poor too no one came to table to take the order. Until I had to yell from my table.And price is soooo high for everything compared to the portion size they served.I attached pictures as well .You can see. Dal makhni which was not a daal makhni at all 23$ seriously . Please stop looting people.

I found it a bit too dark inside the restaurant I think it would look great with light colours and leather seating not cloth. The food was delicious I had takeout butter chicken and garlic naan bread! I will definitely order from them again.

The resturant was very dark and dated . I saw 2 men with Long Beards not protected cooking in tbe kitchen and one worked the till. Bare hands flipping Naan. Pay Extra for rice and Bread to dip into dish. Small containers and very Expensive. Not impressed , Not Returning .

UPDATE July 20th ‘23 What happened? Did the real chef go on vacation this summer? That was one of the worst lunches I’ve had here ever don’t buy the barbecued brisket sandwich. It is as flavourless as spam. Oh, and on a sidenote, a very fat drunk man came outside on the private patio sat at our table and begged for money, and my buddy gave him his chicken wing dinner On a good note, the feta cashew, leafy greens, salad with watermelon, apple slices was absolutely delicious. Our apologies to the waitress. I certainly hope she was able to deal with that drunk person in a safe and respectful manner. (Original Review Below) SPECTACULAR cuisine. I haven't enjoyed food as much as I enjoyed Glen's Grill in a very long time. This place is an absolute gem and everything we ordered was off the chart amazingly delicious. The lightly dusted with garlic and parmesan chips. The burger sliders. The wings and homemade dip. The soup of the day. I was completely blown away by the quality of this cuisine. I will be coming back with my wife, NOT to golf, but to partake of the PERFECT food provided by Glen's Grill. Everyone has to try this place out as it will change your perspective on cuisine in a most profound manner. This place deserves 6 stars...

Had breakfast here this morning with my parents. The service was friendly and it's a cute little cafe. Food was hot and the portions were big for the price. The hasbrowns were amazing and so was the sausage. Eggs were cooked perfectly over easy! By far the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Definitely recommended. 10/10 will be back!

This place is awesome! The food was amazing. It just has that homeade feel and everything was fresh tasting. The service was awesome, super quick and friendly. It was very clean inside as well. Their desserts are so good. Would recommend. We had the Hawaiian burger and soup and the beef dip, and the portions were perfect. Especially for the price.

Look at these portion sizes!! Great value for what you get. Everything is made fresh to order. We got some combo plates and also had their deep fried wontons for an appetizer. Love that the dry ribs have a lot of meat on them and not just all bone. The chicken balls are very generous with the chicken to batter ratio. Egg roll was huge. The pineapple and sweet/sour sauces are homemade. Veggies were good and tasted fresh. The owners are very kind and were attentive to my needs. Thats why i keep coming back and I recommend this place to my friends and family.

Ok food. It is slightly cheaper than others and good value. Sadly not efficient at all. Called 20mins ahead, arrive 25 mins later just to wait another 20 to get the food. Very unapologetic, Owner / server lady was pretty darn rude. Never going back.

Best chicken balls I've ever had. 95% chicken and 5% batter. The chicken was moist and the batter not oily!!! I was very impressed with that. The service was attentive. Prices are good and the food is plentiful. The sauces are seperate and poured on top of the different deep fried proteins and seem like the standard generic colored sauces that are bought in bulk. Overall for small town Chinese it's what I would have expected. Good for kids.
