Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Taber – 2024

Service is fantastic. They do a great job of making me a custom falafel wrap with dairy free sauce when requested. Their regular sauce is amazing, but I have a bit of a dairy allergy, so I normally avoid it. In a small town like Taber the range of cultural food is fairly limited, so getting a taste of the Mediterranean here in the prairie is really awesome and much appreciated! ❤️❤️❤️

Definitely recommend this place and will be eating here again the next time I'm in Taber! The food was delicious and very fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was bright and clean. Service was very quick. I absolutely recommend the Loaded Donair Poutine, the Falafel (quite heavily spiced, but delicious!), the baklava, and the apple Laziza drink (it's very much like an apple cider juice)!

I live in Lethbridge but work in Taber once a week, was craving Chinese buffet and saw this place, never seen it before so I figured I'd pop in and I'm glad I did. The lunch buffet has a nice selection, the food is really well prepared and very authentic, especially the ginger beef. It's a beautiful restaurant and friendly staff, I was sad to see it empty, it's definitely the best of its kind in town I'd definitely recommend it and I'll be back for sure.

Was very surprised at the peaceful atmosphere (music was quiet in the background) and the tables were neat and tidy. The service was great (the waitress was busy but she made sure we had all we needed). The food was served fast, there was a lot and it tasted wonderful. The Boba Tea was a treat (I'm not normally a fan of it but this tea I really enjoyed). Finally a place in town that a person can just sit and enjoy a meal with friends like restaurants used to be. Definitely will be the we go to as a special treat in the future. 5 stars!

Tried it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Food tastes really good, some of the dishes actually tasted very similar to paradise garden's ( whiched sadly closed down) size portions are on the smaller size, especially if you ordering for a family. Workers there are very nice and friendly. This is definitely my new go to for Chinese food and will defiantly be going back.

Had a great experience at Taco Time! The quesadilla combo was super tasty and fresh. Big shoutout to Dipali Dave for her friendly and attentive service. She made sure everything was perfect. Definitely coming back!

Great place but the people who frequent here are anything but friendly. Very snobby and standoffish. Maybe it's because I'm not 20 anymore, I don't know. Food and drinks were amazing though!

Lady that was working there didn't seem to want to be there...not very friendly. She went out for 2 smoke breaks while I was there.

The pizza here is fantastic, and I have made it a mandatory stop every time I come through Taber. Service is fast and friendly, and food is hot and fresh. This pizza has that small town high quality and flavour I have missed from my childhood. The sauce, the crust, the cheese... A++

If you want one of the best pizzas in Taber then look no further. The owners have had several successful restaurants and it shows. The pizza crust is good and crunchy on the bottom with a tangy sauce. They put on a thick layer of cheese so you may want to ask for half cheese but still amazing. Keep up the amazing work and don't forget to help support your local restaurants.

Our party of 4 had a fantastic dining experience at Cattleman’s tonight! I had the surf and turf and was so pleased with my sirloin. The steak was delicious and tender, cooked to a perfect medium rare. I also had the femme fatale martini, which could’ve been just a tad stronger but it was super yummy nonetheless. The restaurant interior was beautifully decorated and our server was extremely friendly and personable. We’ll definitely be back!

I came here expecting it to be great but the overall experience was not good. I’ll start with the good, the building and interior design is spectacular, very beautifully done, especially the washrooms. The washrooms were clean and beautiful. I really liked the menus, seating and tables. We had 6 people at our table so I had a lot of different variations to try, most of the food was wonderful and cooked to perfection, decent serving sizes and presented wonderfully. The alcohol beverages were really well done, delicious. Some cons we experienced was the heat, it was uncomfortably warm inside, eventually everyone at my table was hot, when coming back from the washroom and reentering the dining area there was musk in the air from all the people being warm. The tables are very close together, feels incredibly crowded and makes walking awkward. I saw a lot of great staff but our particular waitress was the worst part of the experience, she didn’t once ask if we needed anything else, not a single time did she come back to check on our drinks, yet we saw her standing and chatting with other employees, it was a slower time and there wasn’t many people so it was fine but she didn’t check on us once, many things got missed, we asked for a pitcher of water for the table when we got seated that we never got. I asked for no ice in my drink, there was ice. After calling for her 2 of my friends asked for water and 1 ordered a soda since they only got alcoholic beverages to start, they didn’t get them until we paid, 30 minutes later and done eating. My other friend ordered no tomato on her chicken burger but got tomato, the same friend had fries with gravy that she paid for and only got ketchup, we wanted to ask for the gravy but couldn’t since she didn’t ever come by the table. The waitress was just friendly enough but after all the dissatisfaction, most of us tipped lower and she watched each of us pay and noticed the low tips and then she had a horrible attitude towards us all. All together the building is beautiful, the food is great and they have some great staff, i saw it from other tables but our experience was not good at all.

My group of 23 and I left the restaurant fascinated by the quality of the food. Very large portions, tasty and a lot of creativity in the combination of colors and flavors. We all left very satisfied. customer service attention, passed our expectation. Everyone was very attentive and accommodated our needs such as food allergies. Congratulations to the entire team and an special thank you to the kitchen staff. You all are the best guys! the building is another plus.. beautiful

UPDATE: The new location is lovely! So open and spacious with room for everything! Gorgeous atmosphere and more CLEAN BATHROOMS! Delicious cold drinks for summer. Definitely still a place to visit. Loved our visit! Welcoming atmosphere and CLEAN washrooms. Our drinks (oat milk cappuccino and London fog) were delicious. We LOVE the little stickers used to keep our drinks from spilling out of the to-go cups! Cute and functional! There's a little retail area at the front with fun trinkets, candles, and travel mugs, with even more boutique clothing in the back. Space is a little tight, so we're looking forward to the new venue! Thanks for a great experience!

Just paid ten dollars for this. Served in the plastic box with a plastic spoon („we don’t have forks“) - wow! Edit: the owner just came over to apologize and refunded in full. That was unexpected and great customer service; definitely going above and beyond. Also, I can now report that the cake was quite tasty.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The burger was hot and fresh and tasty! Highly recommend. And they are open later than other restaurants.

Food quality is very low. Advertised roast beef as brisket. Too tough to chew. Shredded hashbrowns were very greasy. Too pricy for bad food.

I had the waitress specifically ask the cook if the the fish batter would be safe for my pepper allergy, and was told there's only a bit of cayenne, which would have been fine... strange, but fine. I get my plate, the food is black with pepper, so I couldn't even eat it. Definitely going for chinese food next time we visit Taber.

We ordered the Hawaiian large, and it was really good for the most part. The pineapple was pretty warm by the time that we got the pizza, which was right around the designated pickup time. That is not a huge problem, tho. The crust was decently soft as well and was great. For lots of people, the amount of sauce would be too much, however, and it was not evenly spread. The dipping we got was also good, but it was not very spicy at all. It was advertised as 2/4 on the spiciness chart. Good food, but there are better places in town. We would recommend going here if you like saucy pizza.

I visited Taber for the first time and at lunch time I was worried about food. I tried Pizza 73 in Taber. The employee name Foram helped us. She welcomed us with smile. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She knows what she is doing. And Foram made very delicious pizza. The best pizza I’ve ever had. Strongly recommend to visit Foram@pizza73. A worthy stop by place!!!

Wow! First time trying this pizza and the flavors are unique and delicious. Pizza was served hot and the service was great. Had the Butter Chicken thin crust pizza

It's a good amount of food for the price, piles of naan come with every meal. We like the plain over garlic naans, however. The sauce on both the curry and butter chicken was amazing. Spice levels were perfect. The strawberry lemonade was quite sweet but still good. The milkshake was equally as delicous. We would highly recommend going here

Absolutely my favourite restaurant in Town, I really wish I hadn't avoid this cuisine for the first 50yrs of my life but I am making up for it now. Amazing food, service and value! The food has been incredible since they opened and the new improvements to staff and management have really raised the bar! I've been eating there 3-4 times a week or more and today for lunch I was in and out in 25min, so good!

The food was really delicious. We were given an appetizer as part of the lunch. They were such a tasty surprise. That was before we even ordered the special. It came with the main dish, a naan, rice and a pop. At a price of $15.99 it was exceptional. This restaurant in the best kept secret in Taber. If you like authentic Indian food, this is a must go to try. It was really incredibly tasty. I think the best I've had. Definitely give this place a try. You won't regret it.

The food was good but the high prices are making it difficult to visit BP as often as we'd like to. High prices are not just a BP issue but BP has more ability to control menu prices than you or I do. I can only protest with my wallet and only order the cheapest menu options or not eat out as often.

Well I'm sorry to say .... This location of all the locations I have been to Now rates the poorest. As a frequent customer of B.P. from Squamish to Ottawa ....totalling at least 24 locations now.. Yes I keep track..... the one In Winnipeg was just bumped up from last to second last it was not that hot ...but your lack of sauce and 3.80 extra cheese .25 cent try ... has now made you # 1 looser in Canada ... Let's try and redeem yourself. Fyi how about keeping the washrooms a little cleaner also the smell of urine is not exceptable . Last but not least my wife says more sauce on her Glutine royal Hawaiian pizza stop cutting corners

Took over an hour to get our food and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Waitress was hard to understand. Had to ask three waitresses to get a coffee refill. Waitress was yelling across the restaurant at other servers. Ordered a full size skillet. Wasn’t served in a skillet dish but a small dessert plate and still got charged full price. Once I payed the waitress looked and me and said “oh no tip”

We haven't been to Smitty's in Taber for years. However there is new management there now and we decided to give them a try. SUCH A DIFFERENCE. Longer business hours. Friendly staff. Fast service. Clean and the food was very good. I ordered the short stack with sausages. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. The sausages were browned to perfection and juicy. My husband ordered the pan scrambler. It was a good portion and very filling. If I had to give any negatives, it would be that the syrup bottle was sticky from the syrup drips. I used a napkin to pour it. I would also recommend some music in the restaurant as it was too quiet for my liking :O)

Service is not great, it seems like they’re always short staffed. Foods good if you order the right things and the whole restaurant is extremely outdated. Seems like the owners or management needs improvement. UPDATE: I came back because I wanted a breakfast place and Taber has no others, I was happy to see the service improved quite a bit, they had 3 waitresses and the food came out of the kitchen pretty consistently and our wait wasn’t as long this time, still took a while but an acceptable amount of time, our food was all fantastic and I’ll probably come back more frequently if this keeps up. It is still incredibly outdated but it is what it is. The only thing I was disappointed by was the chocolate milk I ordered, it was not really cold and extremely overpriced at $4.50 for a medium sized cup. Still very happy to see the staff a service improvement’s because food and service are the main reasons for me to come back.

Food was great as it always is. The staff are friendly, helpful and always smiling and laughing which is a nice change from what I all to often see in restaraunts / stores these days. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes this type of food. The only thing I wish they did was label the meal boxes. A bit of a guessing game when you take home 8 dinners for 1 lol.

Came in for lunch a few days ago, and buffet was awesome. Servers were an absolute delight and I will 100% be returning again soon. Very pleased with the service, incredibly happy with food and ya girl likes to eat, if I could give 6 stars I would

I saw they recently re opened the buffet so I thought I would stop and try it. It didn't disappoint me. There was plenty of food and it treys were refilled often to keep the food fresh. The sweet and sour pork was my favorite. They had a very nice selection of desserts. The lemon squares were also really good.
