Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Pelham – 2024

The Beer Hog is a nice lively spot in Pelham to grab some booze and food. We loved the pizzas, quesadilla, and artichoke dip appetizer. They were all bops. The pretzels though… were a major flop. I thought they would be fresh but they remind me of the frozen ones you pop in the microwave for 2 minutes. The vibes inside and the staff were immaculate, would come back again for sure!!

Stopped in a Sunday afternoon for a few cold ones and the selection was nice. Staff was attentive but then again by the time I left there were only 7 of us sipping. Prices weren’t that bad. Never made it to the “old” location but this one has all that’s needed for just enjoyment. Bathrooms are separate but very clean as part of the complex. Ample parking.

Great place to try beers. Appetizers and pizzas are good. Great place to hang out, play pool, and trivia.

I've heard good things about this buffet and wanted to try it. It's been a long time since I've gone into a buffet and got excited. I had no clue they had a Mongolian BBQ. I picked out my ingredients and, while they prepared it, made a sampler plate of things off the buffet. Everything was delicious, and there were loads of options to choose from. The staff I encountered was so lovely, and our server was so attentive, making sure plates were cleared, and drinks never ran out. We will be back.

Food is some of the better buffet food I have had. Some sushi but mostly California type rolls. Soups are good. Staff helpful and friendly. The fresh cooked plates are the best.

Food selection is great, very fresh and delicious. Restaurant is very clean and waitresses are courteous and attentive. I recommend this place. Planning to return.

Glad we didn’t miss this place. The best brisket since leaving Texas in 2009. Great service, reasonable prices, nice selection of draft craft beers (many local) and excellent food. The sides were unique and very tasty as well. My highest recommendation for some real comfort food and terrific barbecue. Only minutes from Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama.

Our delight and appetite were up there. From the moment the entryway was opened. The aroma of BBQ rushed out the door. Smelling soooo good! We had brisket, smoked wings, pulled pork, and a smash burger. All of us give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!! And we will be back. Thank you Creekside BBQ.

Awesome place!! The brisket and pulled chicken were very good as well as the fried green tomatoes and smoke grits!! It was very busy but the service was top notch and we didn’t wait long for our food. Highly recommend

This may be my new favorite place? I didn't know it existed. It has a good variety of Chinese and Japanese food. The egg rolls and chicken wings were great appetizers. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu.

My husband and I have eaten here twice now for date night and both times have been the best experience. I can’t stress enough how amazing the service is. Our drinks never got below half full and the staff is so friendly. The food is fantastic. Both times I’ve ordered sushi and my husband got a chicken dish last time. The portions leave you very full and satisfied . Honestly like a five star dining experience but a price a family can afford. We will be making this out go to date night and family spot.

Could not have been better! Soothing ambiance with quiet instrumental music playing softly. The TVs had beautiful underwater screensavers. It was spotless, even the restroom. The salad was fresh and the homemade ginger dressing was delicious. I had hibachi chicken with seasonal vegetables and fried rice. It was hot and delicious. My husband preferred his garlic chicken and fried rice to mine. The server was very attentive. We’ll definitely return!

This place is always great fresh food, I wish the people would smile more it would be more welcoming.. but overall the service and the food is always hot fresh and their prices are great.. I do recommend … Here I had the chicken potato and falafel..

This place is your go to for amazing baked potatos! We have tried several items off the menu and to date the Bakers are by far the best we have ever had. They come fully loaded and about the size of a human head! We live in Decatur, AL and whenever we are on our way to Mobile, AL we stop at the Pelham location. Always happy with our food!

I absolutely love their mint tea. The people at the location I go to are always so nice and remember you. That's customer service. I absolutely love their cheeseburgers with the red onions. I will always go here when I'm craving a cheeseburger!

Robert & his family are so very kind & hospitable! They treat their guests like family friends. The service is great, the place(including restrooms) is clean & tidy, & food is fresh. I would recommend ordering off the menu as opposed to the buffet. Their portion sizes are very generous. I always have enough leftover to pack for my lunch the next day. Their soups & desserts are delicious. I had not met a egg custard that I liked until I tried theirs, such flaky goodness!

Low key Asian restaurant in a strip mall, but they do have some unique dishes that you won’t find in your typical Asian fast food joint. Called in for a pick up order, had to wait a few minutes after the promised time. Dining area has around nine tables. The pork inside the pork katsu was thin, the breading was just fine, the sauce tasted good and the rice well cooked. The house special crispy chow mein (crispy noodles) was good value and tasted really good. Staff was friendly.

Had such a great time here tonight. The owner was friendly and the food was amazing. I ordered the orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The orange chicken wasn't overly sweet and had a hint of ginger? and it had perfect breading, not to thick. The Mongolian beef was spicy!!! Tasted like a totally different dish with purple onions and not sweet. And they didn't skip on the beef. Definitely coming back for the sesame chicken and buffet to try all of the different "new to the area" dishes. The pepper chicken wings were good too. ‍

Had an excellent lunch here today. The blackened catfish po boy was honestly better than a lot I've had in New Orleans. Seafood Gumbo was really good. Great atmosphere, good bar and beer selection. Looking forward to returning.

Dropped a load in town here & stopped in to check the place out because they had a lot of great reviews. Let’s just say 10/10 for me, believe the reviews. The food is awesome, hot, fresh, & very flavorful. We ordered the shrimp Po-Boys, gumbo, red beans & rice, & Gumbo. To top it all of the customer service is outstanding. The owner is very nice, welcoming, & all around great guy. If you want some great seafood & that Louisiana taste this is definitely the place to stop. They have TVs & a nice bar as well. We walked in and were automatically greeted and seated. soft Drinks were brought out quickly. However, when we looked at the menu that was it for me. There is no way in I am paying $14- $18 for half of a PO boy with nothing with it!! The prices here are beyond outrageous!! I've been to ACTUAL authentic Cajun restaurants in the bayou with better prices than this!! It may be good but with prices like that I will never know!

I like the people that work here. It's priced in the middle for what it is. No complaints there. Every time I have been here the food has been much more salty than I like. That's a personal preference thing I guess. I have friends that really enjoy the food here so I keep trying. I want to like this place so much. I just don't. For me it's so salty that it stings my mouth. If that's what you are into this is your place. Because I like the people and the atmosphere. I'm tired of peeing all afternoon because I had to chug 4 glasses of water and 3 sprite's to get through half the meal and then going for a burger at 2 because I couldn't finish lunch and I'm hungry again.

Cafeteria style. Iwas told that all veggies are cooked without the addition of meat (chicken stock, bacon, ham hogs, ..) I am a vegetarian for so long that I might have forgotten what meat tastes like but I surely didn't taste anything that I thought was meat-based. I got Fried okra: thickly breaded and crisp Fried green beans; even thicker coated and tasty (,in particular with hot sauce) Turnip greens: very tasty (can they be that tasty without a ham bone?) Beans with tomatoes and potatoes. A little salty but right up my alley. Jalapeno corn muffin. All in all a bit more food than I needed but I tasty and I didn't leave a single crumb. A restaurant serving on styrofoam plates cannot receive 5 stars from me.

Had a takeout meal on Sunday that was high quality and becoming a rare thing to find in the area.Had red snapper that was delicious and very reasonable for 2 plates for 25 dollars.

I ordered my food to go and didn't get to eat inside the location. Upon entering, the staff seemed friendly and restaurant looked clean. My order consisted of: • Steamed rice • half pound sausages(mild,Cajun season) • juicy special 6pc wings My entire order was fresh, hot, and was repaired on time. I will definitely eat here again when in the area

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this seafood restaurant if you enjoy great quality, tasting seafood and drinks at reasonable prices (based on the current market). This restaurant has held up even through CoVID era, and their quality has never seized. The waiters/waitresses are real thorough and polite. And of all the seafood places I’ve had been to from California to the south, this place is one of my top 3. Give it a shot but keep in mind there is a wait for a table because it’s THAT great!

The serving staff was solid. Our drinks were never empty, and the food came out hot. No one left hungry, and the food was fresh and hot. We would go back again.

Margarita Grill has the best drinks. The service is impeccable, no matter who you get. Owners go around making sure everything is good, which is probably why they have such a great place. Probably one of the best in the area. Although a bit pricey, so worth it. The food is AMAZING, street corn is awesome. Try the Chile Relleno! The tamales are wonderful, the street tacos are legit and the seafood dishes are very good. All around wonderful experience.

The best there is! Fantastic margaritas, one-of-a-kind cheese dip, fast and friendly service. 10/10 best place in the Birmingham area to hang with friends and family, get live music, and get great food and drinks.

We ate here on our way to Florida. We randomly stopped for gas at this exit. I decided to search for something to eat. What a great find. Excellent street tacos, street corn, fajitas, and cold cervezas. The homemade salsa tomatilla was spot on. They even make their tortillas.

I really enjoyed our dinner here! The food was great and the atmosphere was unique and welcoming. Everything we ate tasted really good. I especially liked the smoked tuna dip, hush puppies, sweet potatoes crème brûlée, and the special tonight, a pecan bacon redfish. My mango sunset Martini was very smooth and delicious. Although service was very friendly, it was a bit slow at times. It’s hard to believe at first it is in an old school building because of how beautifully it is decorated. There is also a large bar area you can watch sports. You are brought back to grade school when you enter the hallway to the bathroom. I look forward to my next visit!

Absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend dining here. The atmosphere is great, it is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent in the food will delight any seafood lover. They have a variety of fresh oysters and shrimp to choose from and an excellent selection of wine and cocktails. I recommend the oyster sampler. You can try a variety of charbroiled and baked oysters. It might be on the high-end, but the quality is there. You definitely get what you pay for. You won’t be disappointed.

First time visit on a date. No crowd at all. It was couple’s night…not really but it was only 3 other seated tables and they were couples/date. The ambience very nice, jazz melody romantic, and our server Marcella was super kind. When my entree arrived, our server said, here you go Madame’. Bayou & Creole southern flare, it was the experience for me☺️ The host and all other staff were very nice too. Awesome first-time experience! I actually like small crowd it added more to the experience, seemingly. Oh my goodness…the entree’s were flavorful. Bisque and gumbo yummy. If you don’t like spice make sure you tell them to hold the spice. I felt the Louisiana vibe ️

We'll be back! If you ask for spicy salsa, you won't be disappointed. I liked the option of dressing your own street tacos with onion, sauce and cilantro. The place isn't fancy, and that's ok. It reminded me of restaurants in Puerto Rico. Good vibes. They are expanding their menu soon, and we can't wait to try the new additions.

Wonderful authentic Mexican food with some Carribean options. The gentleman who waited on us was so, so friendly and never let our chips run out or drinks go dry. The alambre was fantastic and the spicy salsa was uniquely delicious - maybe pineapple or some other fruit juice? It was hot and addictive!

So I saw the reviews and thought 4.8 Stars 100 people can't be completely wrong. And I'm here to tell you they weren't. Start with I had one of the best margaritas I've ever ordered. The food was second to know other Mexican restaurants I've been to. The music was this pleasant vibe the entire time that just transported you into a different place.

Update: We came on a asunday night around 6:45 p.m. Restaurant was very crowded, 20-30 minute wait for 2. We sat at the bar. There were 2 women working the bar area. They were slammed but kept the best attitudes and did a great job. And the food was great. Our server Derrick was a nice kid. He was on top of everything. We did have an especially long wait, but it was a Saturday evening, and there were baseball and softball players coming in. You can get rolls to eat while you wait, which was awesome. The wait was worth it, though, because our food was great. Try the herbed chicken. Salads are really good as well. The ranch dressing is good. Caeser salad is delicious too. Of course, the yeast rolls and onion blossom were fantastic. Service was great, employees were friendly and food was excellent.

We ate here on the way home from our honeymoon vacation. 45 min wait nut that's normal on a Saturday night so it was no problem. Our waitress was amazing! The prime rib we ordered was cooked to perfection! Only thing that could've made the experience better was for it to have been not so loud inside.

On leap day we decided to try this restaurant. I used the online check in to add us to the waiting list and then left the house. By using this method our wait time was 15 minutes versus 30-45 for those walking up to hostess to check in. We were seated in a spacious booth with a bowl of warm bread with cinnamon butter. Eric our server was there in flash to take our drink order and allow us to look over the menu. I ordered the Roadkill which is covered with jack cheese in addition to mushrooms and onions that have been roasted to perfection with a side of corn and rice. The side dishes are a difficult choice as there is so many good items to choose from. My wife kept it simple with a side salad and a loaded baked potato. The baked potato was large enough to share with a generous amount of toppings. Everything was excellent and we will be back to try something new from their menu in the future.

Delicious soul food! The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was relaxing. The pulled pork, ribs, loaded fries and mac and cheese were great. I tried the peach cobbler and while I normally don’t eat it, I’ve added it to my palette since. It is the best! S/n: Try the pulled pork sliders. They won’t disappoint.

The food, the price, and the service are 100% perfect at Hit Different! BBQ. I've eaten there twice, and both visits were completely satisfying. I'm really looking forward to my next meal there.

Hit Different BBQ and Grill chose the perfect name to describe their food and customer service. They are truly the Chick-fil-A of Highway 31. I ordered the cheesesteak and fries. But I could not resist trying a piece of fried catfish. Both were absolutely amazing!!!! The homemade tartar sauce was very flavorful. the catfish was huge, well seasoned and super crunchy like catfish should be. I topped it off with some mouth watering homemade pound cake. Easter was a phenomenal server. The owner and her son walked around checking on guests, their food quality, and overall visit. It was an awesome A+ experience.

This is our new favorite diner! Our waitress was Candy (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and she was wonderful and helpful! We also met the owner Toni and she was so kind! The food was absolutely excellent (I got the western omelette and my husband got the patriot meal) and we would gladly drive an hour here again for this amazing place!

This location is known for their diner style meat and sides. As well as their breakfast. Huge pancakes, you have to try it with blueberries. The staff is always friendly and their food is always served hot to the table. At breakfast, the coffee flows and their waitresses are non stop in their hospitality. The orange rolls are a hidden treat. Tried the 4 vegetable plate today. The lunch is served off a hot table cafeteria style and its homestyle favorites. Tried the baked broccoli and cheesy rice which every bite was creamy. The winner was their bread pudding. Surprisingly, there were chunks of pineapple and peach. It's not overly sweet and every bite was delicious.

Don’t sleep on this place! The cinnamon roll is an amazing way to get the fork moving while waiting on the main event. They didn’t know who they were dealing with when I ordered seconds on “The Patriot” soon to be renamed “The Greg”!
