. Yard House is worth every penny. An improvement on restaurants like Chili’s, Applebee’s, and other American-style sit down restaurants. During happy hour you can get enough food to happily feed 4 to 6 people without breaking the bank with incredible drinks to match if I had to recommend something I would say the Poke Nachos are most definitely worth the price.
Holy Moses, this place was good!! Huge portions and excellent food. This was the turkey club and it was every bit of 3" tall.
First thing's first, our server: I loved him! Super helpful figuring out what drink/food I would like, very patient, friendly, welcoming, and kind. The place itself could use some work with cleanliness. The table was sticky, dirty, but our server had no problem helping to clean it up for us to enjoy our meal. Bathroom soap sucks, could barely wash my hands, I worry about hygiene in a place like this. Would recommend management to be on top of this, sets the tone for me wanting to stick around and order food or leave and dine elsewhere if an establishment isn't clean. I had an issue with the menu tbh, when it includes a "warning" of sorts, saying food contains or may contain raw products, when you order a burger, it makes me worry why the business is trying to avert liability, if that makes sense.... The food: I ordered a beer and burger. The burger patty was probably one of the best I had. Get it in medium rare. You are welcome. Would definitely come back again in the future, but management gotta get on top of cleanliness of the place.

I've been to a good Italian restaurant or two, but this is very hard to beat! Food is arguably the best I've had. Walking into a slightly warm dining area, I was overwhelmed with the aroma of good cooking as if it were on my table under my nose. No exaggerating. And the dish my wife and I ordered was every bit delicious as the restaurant let on to be
The food is amazing and the service was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this great restaurant to anyone that is looking for a great dining experience. We both had the piccata chicken, I had the Alfredo and my wife had the raviolis. They were absolutely delicious
Last night, nine friends and I had a lovely time at the wonderful Uricchio’s Restaurant. We were seated in the comfortable wine room. All of our meals were delicious with generous portions. Our waitress was terrific, attentive and efficient. We had a great time and will be back.

What a great experience!!! Definitely in the alley and Google maps didn't drive us through it even though you can. You can also park in the alley for 1hr but our meal experience nearly lasted 2 hours due to drinks, appetizers, entree, dessert, and good conversation. The steak was like butter and the chicken was moist. We had the escargot and bruschetta appetizer. For dessert we had Malva!!! Ooh my goodness that was absolutely delicious and unexpected. Our waiter, Matthew, recommended it and I'm so glad we tried it. Something we've never had and will definitely order again. The chef was so kind to come out and speak with a few of the tables at the end of the night which made our evening.
I had my 15 year / wedding rehearsal here and it was just an amazing experience . We were able to use the banquet room in the back . The Chef was personable and came out to check on us . The waitress was amazing as well . She explained everything really well & we found out they are married . They both worked well with each other and us . We brought a lot of kids which I don’t think is normal for the restaurant but they accommodated us just the same . The food was literally to die for . Not a single dish that didn’t taste fresh and just down right delicious. I’ll definitely be back . Thank you for making my rehearsal dinner unforgettable.
Well the 5 star reviews are well deserved. I called for a reservation and it took a day for them to call me back and confirm so plan accordingly. It's actually easy to find, it's in the alley just north of 17th St. There's parking in the alley on the left side. The door just has a red horse above it. It used to be a speakeasy and you can definitely feel that vibe that when you first walk in. Walk through the bar to the restaurant and there's a room with maybe 20 tables. Dimly lit and the booths are intimate. We started with the stuffed mushrooms. And let me tell you, don't pass on these. The sauce that they put on it could come in a glass and I'd drink it. Fantastic. They also bring out bread with a butter garlic dip and that's really good. The bread is crusty but has good flavor and is very fresh. I had the Poularde which was chicken and lobster meat with a sauce. It was pretty good. I'd give it a 7 out 10. She had the Alfredo Ala Florence with steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and makes me want to go back just to order one. But that alfredo sauce on the pasta was amazing. It tasted homemade and the cheese tasted like they flew to Italy to get it . This dish was full of flavor and I highly recommend it. 10 out of 10. The servers were all very attentive and friendly. They really made you feel like you were at home and any requests would be honored. This is a great spot for date night and we will definitely be back.

A critical opinion (the good, the bad and the ugly) We called ahead the restaurant about we coming over, upon arriving we were seated right away at a nice corner booth, we all three ordered a Filet Mignon with a baked potato and salad. Our salads where served timely and was offered cheese and freshly ground pepper (nice detail) upon finishing, our Steaks were served and they were cooked just as we asked and were very good. After finishing eating server left the bill, and few minutes later came back to pick up the payment, we visited for about 10 more minutes before leaving, at no time they offered to take away/clear empty plates from the table, (good service just not complete). Now the ugly...their menu section for the steaks and specialty dinners do not list prices instead they are MARKET PRICE, I don't like to order something without knowing what the price is (don't like surprises) so I asked the server she mentioned $47.95ish, bill listed at $50.99. I would have feel embarrassed if I had asked to have price corrected so I didn't, I have always felt that restaurants use this strategy as to overcharged the guest, in my opinion is shameless at the very least...(maybe illegal (SB478)
Denise was our server and she went above and beyond to provide my family and I with amazing service. Quality of food is great too. My 6 year old cannot wait to go back to table 14.
Celebrated our anniversary today at Sorella. First time here and it did not disappoint. Our waitress Denise was amazing. She made us feel so comfortable, answered all our questions and gave great recommendations. Seafood Portofino delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Our waiter was very professional and very kind and friendly and most of all very knowledgeable. Food is fantastic our grandson loved his spaghetti and meatballs. Raviolis were delicious and my husband's food was cooked to perfection. Our drinks were very tasty hats off to the bartender. I recommend Mamma Mia's. Thank you all so much we enjoyed our evening. See you soon
On a recent visit to Bakersfield, some local friends suggested Mama Mia, saying it was one of their go-to spots. Excellent suggestion. I had the spaghetti Bernese, which came with a delicious sauce, sliced pieces sausage and grilled onions and peppers—all topped with thin slices of parmesan cheese. It was a tasty choice, made even better with a nice glass of house Chianti. The waiter and staff were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was great.
Delicious food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. If you are able to get the special, hanger steak. Call first to check if they have the special. The Mia's salad is delicious too.

We had the best-ever brunch on our way to Sequoia National Park. The team was very nice, they took our order, brought us delicious coffee. The food was great!
We moved to Bakersfield about 6 wks. ago and have been impressed with the restaurant scene so far. We checked out the Social Hours (happy hour) at The 18hundred and we will be back. Cute place, delicious food and drinks at great prices. I had a very tasty and refreshing cocktail (The Rainbow), and my husband had a glass of house Chard (Maggio) for $3.50 at HH price is great! Also, the staff is friendly and attentive. Mia was great, and we enjoyed learning a bit more about the restaurant and the DT area by her taking the time to chat with us. We look forward to returning soon!

What a great restaurant. The food is amazing. So many different choices for everyone. From meat lovers to vegetarians. Atmosphere is amazing . Customer service is tremendous. Managers are extremely attentive. Valentino explained everything so well. The cinnamon pineapple was out of this world. Lobster Bisque ... Everyone in the table LOVED all the meat cuts. Cooked to perfection . Highly recommended. Pao de Queijo is tremendous.
This place is absolutely fantastic. The decoration and ambiance are phenomenal, and the food is great. Moreover, the waiters are awesome, always professional, and courteous. In terms of the food, it is definitely a five-star experience. Everything is properly cooked and well seasoned. The bathrooms are super clean, and the music is enjoyable. I really can't ask for anything more. Give it a try.
My husband and I come here quite a few times a year and we ALWAYS get the best service. We went yesterday and Valentino was the manager and he is always a great time. Very personable, attentive, and is always on top of things! The Gaucho’s are great and never skip a table. They always ask if you are looking for something specific and bring it out almost immediately. We have tried many Brazilian steakhouses around the US and this one is by far one of the best! Thank you, Valentino and your Wednesday night team, for always making our experience a great one.

☀️ Buck Owens' Crystal Palace Made it back to Bakersfield! The Crystal Palace is for sale, hopefully it will remain open, but there is a chance it will be closed for good soon. The idea for the Buck Owens Crystal Palace originated in the mid-1980s. Buck spent most of his early career performing in small, smoke-filled bars and honky-tonks around the country. He wanted a high-class place for country-western music to be performed. Buck also wanted a place where he could "be himself". There is a museum with numerous memorabilia throughout his career. Live music and great food. And of course the buck-mobile hanging behind the bar. Once made for Elvis, Buck used it in The Streets of Bakersfield video.
The service was excellent the atmosphere was excellent the food was excellent my wife was excellent I had a very good time and the food was delicious I take my head off to the men and women that were playing music answer the kooks that cooked us a delicious dinner my experience there was great and it was my first time
Had a great time last night, we really enjoyed the music and atmosphere. Friendly staff, food had great flavor, ribs would have been perfect if they would have removed the membrane, they were tender but, not fall off the bone tender. Loved the biscuits and butter.

Suggested to hit the spot by a local no regrets ✨ ✨ we were not familiar with Basque but now we want more! We had the pork chops and the chicken absolutely delicious entrees come with courses of food .. served family style! So much fun bring the entire family and serve and share all the dishes ✨ ✨ everything tastes like it comes out of a homemade kitchen The best of Bakersfield
I have never had Basque food and wasn’t disappointed. Got the setup and added pickled tongue and entree of roast lamb. A bit pricey for one person, but after seeing how much good I got, I can see why. I couldn’t eat it all as a solo diner. Clean, quaint restaurant with fast and friendly service. Since I have never had or heard of basque, I can’t say authentic, but it was good food. Pickled tongue was different (it’s an acquired taste), but I ate it all. Salsa was on point and roast lamb was good.
We order ox tails and lamb chops per recommendation of the restaurant for traditional basque food. They are so good. Ox tail is so tender and tasty. It matches the rice well. The lamb chop is also good but volume is smaller and the French fries is so so. We add soup and salad. It is totally worth it. The price is not cheap but with the quality and quantity it is justified. No wonder it has so many good reviews.

Overall the restaurant was nice and the theme is western. Had a few mixed drinks that were average. Ordered the tomahawk steaks which we ordered medium well. The steak was nice and juicy not dry at all. We also ordered the wagon wheel sampler and everything on it was really good. The salads were nice and fresh ordered the Caesar salad. Our server was very nice and was at our table constantly asking if we needed anything. Very good service. Overall it's was a nice dinner.
Bartender Josh and Chantelle were extremely welcoming and both were great on recommending certain drinks and appetizers, Jesse, the manager was also very welcoming customer service skills were impeccable.
Our experience was great overall. Our server Andrea was attentive even though she had a party for 10+ of kids going to winter formal sitting next to us. The food and service were great, I highly recommend getting reservations. We had ours at 530pm, got there around 510pm, and did not get seated until 540pm.

I love the food. I think the burger here bits In & Out, Thr spicy chicken wings are out of this world. The salads and the dressing are amazing. I like the full service option but i wish there was someone by the door to tell you of the two options they have because we sat for long without being served until i approached a server and he said we are seated in the wrong side.
Had to come back and try the food again as it had been several years since I last visited and was not disappointed. I got the tri tip sandwich which was so moist and tender and meat literally melted when I took a bite and those ranch beans. Had not tried them before and was disappointed that I only got 1 order as they were by far the best beans I have had in awhile. I wish I would have ordered at least 1 more of them but at least this will be my excuse to go back out to get more of them. They were so delicious and meaty. I also ordered the tri tip Cobb salad which was great and filling. Place is really cool and great place to hang out with family and friends to watch the game and eat great food. Would definitely recommend to everyone to drop by
We went there because of the good reviews and they turned out to be true. Food was delicous, well seasoned, generous portions. Prices were completely ok. Definetly worth visiting. You can order by yourself or with service.

This is now my go to restaurant when I travel to Bakersfield and stay downtown. Very close to the Marriott, but I’d recommend taking an Uber as parking sucks and you can avoid walking with all the vagrants. The atmosphere here does not feel like Bakersfield and the spirit selection is 2nd to none. I was able to try some of the extra anejo tequilas that they had and they were excellent. Both the lamb chops and tropical ceviche were bomb! Got to try them and this restaurant.
Fancy restaurant with just as fine cuisine. The ambiance is inviting...great to dress up. Guacamole dip very different....perhaps too watery. Best beet salad ever. Lamb was generous and savory. Lava chocolate cake I must have again. The most superb is the service. We declined table at bar region bc I don't do alcohol and noise level on the other side of wall better for conversation.
I love the food here. I love the tulum vibes decor and the customer service I get at Zama. I always ask for Server Brian Mata anytime I make a reservation. I go at least once a month
Hungry Hunter Steakhouse is a premier dining destination that specializes in delivering an exceptional culinary experience centered around high-quality, expertly prepared steak…
I haven’t visited Hungry Hunter in oh so many years, but my daughter and I visited for lunch. I had the Reuben sandwich and she had the Prime Rib sandwich. We just loved them both! I’m so happy we went and we can’t wait to return! Job well done!!! And our server, Josiah, was a delight!
The parking was plenty as we went on a weekday. The atmosphere was nice with great decor. The waiting area is a bit on the small side. The interior is spacious and inviting. The server was amazing and very helpful. The food was excellent and cooked to order. The salad was made right in front of me with my choice of items. Then after the main meal they bring dessert out for you to visually help make a choice. We arrived a little before they closed but were not rushed to leave.
It's been a long time since I've had a perfect meal! From the shrimp cocktail (6 not 5) and coconut shrimp appetizer, both with perfect sauce, to the steak Oscar with crab asparagus and Bearnaise sauce, to the baked scalloped potatoes, slightly buttered sweet corn on the cob (2) to the Caesar salad. Everything was Excellent! I am a foodie and a steakhouse aficionado, the "Hungry Hunter" in Bakersfield has made it to the top of my list. Wish there was more than one ... Outstanding!

Love this spot! It’s changed a lot over the years and I do miss a lot with the updates they’ve made. I used to go quite often, but not as much since they have stopped doing the fried green beans…those were the absolute best thing on their menu! We do love their burgers—unique combinations with fantastic flavor profiles. You can tell they use high quality ingredients. The stone fruit salad is also a major win, as well as the tuna sandwich. Great little spot for lunch. The interior is beautiful and unique!
My family never spent more than a meals worth of time in Bakersfield before, traveling from northern to Southern California or vice versa. While this time was no different in that regard it was certainly more memorable because of the food and people at Locale. We arrived at Locale just after opening to a mostly empty restaurant. It was decorated in a modern, trendy style using art from locals. When we asked to eat outside because we were traveling with a dog they offered us an empty room in the back to keep us out of the cold. We were served our drinks, including a really yummy fresh made juice for my son, and given a complimentary appetizer that we all devoured. It seems like the menu might rotate somewhat but the chefs allowed us something off menu for our kids who are picky eaters. My wife and I ordered sandwiches that were made with fresh ingredients and well prepared. They also had a variety of salads and hamburgers and other new American fare on the menu. We left feeling like everyone here went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we were satisfied with our food and visit. It was nice to get a small taste of Bakersfield on our trip this time around and hope we can return soon to try some more of the dishes.
Cute little spot. The food is exquisite I recommend the pulled pork and black forest ham sandwich. The house made coleslaw and 3 blend mustard put it over the top! Hats off to the chef. Definitely coming back.
