Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Havertown – 2024

The pictures literally speak for themselves.. the food here is IMMACUALTE. The Japnese rice is something I literally dream of, it's unlike any other rice I've had before. Truly one of a kind. The BBQ chicken buns are so tasty. Ordering in or take out is fine, both opens the food is still amazing. The BBQ mix with chicken and beef is my favorite BBQ meal option, so tasty! This is a MUST TRY!

Doc loves Momoyama!! Momoyama is an excellent neighborhood restaurant and my new go to place for all things Ramen! The food is amazing and service was great too. Also, the wait staff does not rush you and enjoys you taking a leisurely dinner. Great decor and atmosphere! I highly recommend.

You wouldn't be able to tell it from the outside but the interior is beautiful~ I love how the seating area is arranged as well as the color and ambiance. It's not over done but done well. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding. Today we got the House Ramen and Chicken Katsu Curry Rice and both were delicious! I can't wait to come back! Many restaurants don't have websites or updated menus on the sites so from now on I will be uploading photos of their updated menus as well.

This place is great. Food is good. Service is good. Atmosphere is good. Price is good. The inside is up to date and really nice. The outdoor seating area is big and they have heaters. If your out in this area I would definitely check it out.

The Yards Pub is a great venue for parties. I have attended a wedding reception here that was very nice. Last week they hosted an end of term/graduation get together for DCCC. The staff is very helpful and the bar service is great. They have outside space for over flow and smokers. Highly recommend for class reunions, large parties, and a good night out. The Yard Pub has live music, so have a drink, a meal and enjoy.

We went during an eagles game. So we knew it would be a rowdy atmosphere. We took our son and his chicken fingers were undercooked so we sent them back. The server could not be nicer an apologetic about it. We were in the main front room. It was a passionate crowd cursing a bit which is understandable. However a fan came out from the back room dropping f bombs so loudly and repeatedly that it would annoy anyone. He saw our 8 year old and just didn't care. We ended up taking our food to go. Again the server was apologetic regarding the situation. Now some may say don't take your children out to dinner during an Eagles game. Honestly even if he was not with us we would have left.

First time visit was a great experience. My wife had the turkey reuben to which she said it's the best she has ever had which is quite a statement from her, and I the westgate burger was juicy and the sauce was tasty. Will definitely return as it is a local pub with excellent service and great food.

The staff was super friendly and the food was great. The remodel is a great upgrade. Onion rings with the aioli were fantastic. The portions are large too. The photos I took were during the meal so we ate a few pierogis

We got there at about 4pm on a Friday afternoon- didn't need a reservation. Atmosphere, wait staff, food were all excellent. We stayed and talked. At almost 6pm on a Friday night - reservations are required!!! It was good to see how busy they were - family friendly crowd, after-work crowd, and friends/date-night crowd. The different areas of this pub worked beautifully for the different groups. Just don't pick your own table close to 6pm - one group of 2 were made to move because that table was booked for 6pm - so true. Wow, did the pub fill up!

We had the most delightful Breakfast at this Cafe. The hostess and her team of young people working here have such great energy, it was a thrill for us to be here. We are travelling across this beautiful country and we stop twice or thrice a day to eat our meals. Our Breakfast stop at The Kettle in the state of Pensilvania is one of our most memorable. We thank, congratulate the people of this Cafe and send them our best wishes.

Server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the omelet over the French toast. The coffee was strong. I would go back, and I do recommend it.

We are new to this place . My friend she is Italian. She want some Italian food or inner food , so we google it in where we were. It’s show us this place and have good reviews. The place is a bit small but feel welcoming , very clean . The food have good portion . Staff is somewhat friendly. ( they actually didn’t really care of us ) they friendly to other customers. May be we are not local . Good place to have quick hangout . Good verity food on menu . My daughter said her food is little dry , the sweet potatoes fried was a winner but my food is overall the best Smoke salmon is satisfied. Only they gave us wrong bagel . Which I didn’t tell them . Overall just ok !

Located in the rear of the Skatium in Havertown and has its own entrance there. Don’t sleep on this place! Some of the best burgers and fries around. Reasonably priced as well. I walked in around 10:45am I was surprised they were open but apparently they served breakfast here as well. I was greeted right away. Got the bacon cheeseburger with lots of extras and a side of fries. Only cost me $11. I’m sure a meal at McDonalds will cost you more than that! The burger is great, the beef, toppings and bread all wonderful! Best burger in Havertown! The fries are also great! Full of flavor and delicious and believe me, they give you plenty of both! The burger even though the a single is a nice size and a generous helping of fries, I could barely finish it all. If you are anywhere in the area, you MUST stop in and try!!!! Highly recommend!

This place has GREAT food, more specifically burgers and fries! Believe it or not, their veggie burger is a must try. The folks here are consistent in how they prepare their food, delicious and well made every time. I’m editing this post to state that Karina provided superb service, she was beyond accommodating and helpful; truly customer oriented. This is my new burger spot, thanks H.A.B. and Karina. Keep up the great work.

After standing in the entrance foyer for about 10 minutes, we were finally told that the kitchen closed early for whatever reason. Having eaten here before and enjoying the experience, we decided to return. I highly doubt that we will return for a third time. Edit: We returned for a third time. The waiter Nick was on point and polite. The games were on full display. The food we ordered was prepared with love! I have no complaints whatsoever about this meal. It wasn't big but it was great.

Cheapest Surfsides around!! 6$ unlike other places that sell them for $8-$10. The food is usually always good. My order is always right. Staff is always friendly but sometimes it takes a while for them to notice that you wanted to get another beer when sitting at the bar

This place didn't disappoint at all. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The drinks need a little more but not bad. Yes family friends this is a good time. There were a lot of families with little kids. Will definitely go back.

Summary: Not worth the hassle to find parking and it won't be better than the pancakes you make at home. In terms of available space and parking, it's extremely limited. If you're not bright and early expect a long wait or don't bother. Additionally, as we were waiting for a table, they: Allowed a woman to cut in line and just sit at whatever place they wanted. Got 2 omelet orders wrong for the same person. They started us off with banana bread and chocolate sauce. It was good. We had french toast and pancakes with a side of pancakes. Everything had a general dryness that was unpleasant. I would not and will not be returning to this restaurant.

Coffee and food is to die for! Came here 2 days in a row! The home potatoes are phenomenal (not pictured)! Great prices and staff! Only wish the parking situation was better, but that didn’t change how good of an experience!

The food in general was very dry. The pancakes were almost 1.5 inches thick and had the consistency of cornmeal mush. The waffles were pretty much over toasted Eggo waffles. I had 2 eggs over easy with sausage that was Italian sausage, instead of breakfast sausage and got a side of bacon that was the smallest, thinnest bacon on the planet. For me and my 3 kids to go and not eat more than half their meals only to pay $75 with tip for breakfast is unbelievable. I don't understand how any breakfast restaurant can mess up pancakes. They're literally the simplest thing on the planet to make well. Every breakfast joint around here needs to go to Tank and Libbys to see where the bar is set and understand how to make good food. The service was very good. That was the only saving grace.

I really enjoyed my visit here! I went on a date with a guy and we both really enjoyed our food, service and the atmosphere of this little bar. I got a vodka soda and a hot honey chicken sandwich and it was to die for. Topped with pickled onions, I was in heaven!! I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Manoa Tavern!

Second time here on my way home from work & let me tell ya - this place slaps. The bartenders have been awesome on both occasions and the food is excellent! Don’t sleep on the brussel sprouts - they’re soooo good. Overall great spot, stop & show them some love!

The Big Mac flatbread is gourmet. Please offer it more often. Havertown, this place means business.

Walked into this pub on the evening of the 5th of October 2024 been to it 3 or 4 times without any problems I am originally from Ireland and enjoy drinking the Occasional, Guinness I order a pint of guinness and it tasted just like home then orders a second and Politely say to the bar man that pint was Brilliant but could you just make the next one with a little less head and Instantly gets Aggressive using the F word saying I'm being 2 fussy tried to tell him I was speaking to him Politely just making a simple request but maid me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome told him how I felt unwelcome I wanted to pay for what i drank and leave and he replied it's not that your unwelcome I'm just in a bad Humor and didn't want payment I've met the owner and other members of staff and never had any issues all nice people but bar man with British Accent shouldn't take his problems out on customers very bad for business

A charming spot with the warmest people with olde school Italian food that hits the mark. Buona Sera Havertown has a warm welcoming atmosphere, excellent staff and a great menu of everyone’s favorites. Since 2022, this throwback has been a favorite in town. The shrimp pastas was excellent But the hit was the Scaloppine Alla Cardinale veal scaloppine sauteed with white wine, prosciutto, mozzarella and topped with roasted peppers.. The menu includes enough veal, seafood, chicken, sausage, and steak entrees to make choosing just one a challenge. Oh and yes the calamari and fresh mozzarella apps were bellissimo! Homemade desserts galore…need more reasons to go? No.

This is one of my new favorite restaurants. The food is awesome! The service is top tier! I have not ordered one item that I did not absolutely love! The specials are delectable and brilliantly described by the waiter. Dessert is excellent. Added Bonus: BYOB. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I would like to rate this restaurant higher, but we have been here twice and have been disappointed both times. Please balance our experience with those of some of our friends who gave had much better experiences. The service was prompt and friendly. Explanations of the specials and their prices were excellent. The food,, for the most part, was average at best. The Caesar Salad was a small serving for $12 and bland. The calamari/seafood appetizer special was very good and could have been a meal. The main courses fell short. The grilled pork chop was so overcooked it was borderline inedible. I had difficulty slicing it. The halibut was overcooked (not as bad as the pork chop) as well. The restaurant was not so crowded that the kitchen should have missed so badly on these two dishes. Both were seasoned well and would have been excellent, but there is no excuse for such a miss. They did get the spaghetti Bolognese right. I am sympathetic with the financial challenges restaurants face, so we did not return the food or raise an issue. However, I would be hard-pressed to return.

When we first arrived, no one gave us attention but then…the manager showed up and explained the servers were hit hard. He stepped in to help out and rescued the team. Shortly afterwards our server came to visit and the experience was great. We had wonderful food, drinks and conversation. I love the layout of the place and the music was perfect. I don’t live here but if I did, I would be a regular. I’ll come back next trip.

Great local joint with cozy decor and friendly staff. It’s a local favorite. Post pandemic Brick and Brew has really seemed to struggle to get good servers. It can take a long time to get your food (recently it was 45 minutes) and the staff don't really check in on you to clear drinks or get you new drinks while you wait. The atmosphere is inviting but it can get very loud in the main dining area by the bar. Best to show up and be prepared to wait and relax, which may or may not work with kiddos. They also don't take reservations, so it can be a little dicey to get a table due to wait times. The menu rotates but the food is consistently reliable and the skillets and specials are always a favorite!

This place used to be one of the best Chinese-American restaurants in Delaware county. Now, I would say it's only about on par with an average city counter restaurant on a good night. Looking for an option for decent take out on a weeknight when you're ending your day later than expected can be a challenge. My wife suggested Sampan, which seemed like a safe option. She asked me to order a "big broth noodle bowl" which they corrected me and said it was a "deluxe wonton noodle bowl". It ended up not being what she intended on ordering, but she said it was still acceptable. Now, to the reason for the 1-star review. My order was the egg drop wonton soup. There wasn't anything too bad about the broth (which admittedly is hard to screw up). I kid you not that the wontons in the soup tasted like bleach mixed with toilet water. I tried eating one and couldn't even swallow the first bite. They had to be old and gone bad at least a day ago. You can read my other reviews posted about other restaurants: I am not known to be a super-picky eater and fairly judge the quality of the food I eat with perspective of the price and quality advertised. Saying that the food I was served was inedible is a terrible understatement and a disgrace for a restaurant that built up a reputation as Sampan has. I will not be ordering food from here and think everyone reading this review deserves to know how far this restaurant--once voted top Chinese restaurant in Delaware county no more than 5 years ago--has fallen from grace. I sincerely hope someone working from the restaurant reaches out to me and apologizes for the disgrace that was served to me this evening.

Service was good. Food was good. Kid friendly.

First time here. The place was not very busy. We stood waiting to be seated, and someone behind what I think was the sushi bar motioned with his head for us to sit at a table. We were seated for about 10 minutes before anyone came over. The waitress was not in a terribly good mood. The food was very good. I liked the wonton soup and general tso chicken. There was a good portion, and had a nice zip to it. What i couldn't understand was the group in the restaurant that thought it was ok for 2 of their younger children to literally run around and throw paper airplanes that landed wherever! Incredibly, none of the adults did anything to stop it nor did any of the staff! The food was good enough for me to go back and try again.

Excellent!!! Food cooked perfectly. Very cozy atmosphere, this is a home style cooking place. I Recommend pork chop, worth the money. The Branzino dish was great but the fish portion was very small (1 fillet) compared to the pork chop. Definitely coming back

What a lovely and delicious dining experience at Burrata in Havertown. It’s a small restaurant that delivers big flavors and excellent service. Its BYOB policy allowed us to bring a Chianti to enjoy with our shared food. Started with the mussels of the day with chorizo; spicy and delicious. Then we enjoyed the small beet salad with goat cheese; light and refreshing. for entrees, we chose two specials of the day: homemade fettuccine with crabmeat and the swordfish. Both delicious! (Dug in so fast forgot to take pics.) We finished with a lemon mascarpone cake that was unlike anything we’ve ever had before; so light, packed with flavor and felt like we didn’t consume any calories. So very yummy!!! Thank you, Burrata, BOH and FOH for a memorable dining experience!

Burrata Havertown is a go to staple for our family! The whole team here is amazing and the food is incredible. I don’t know how we lived before we were able to eat at their restaurants. This one is only 10 minutes from our house so it’s super convenient and BYOB. Andi, Sam, and the rest of the crew are always the best and provide excellent service. I live for their pasta dishes, but anything is great. I love when they have artichokes because they’re so good for you and so flavorful. The Caesar salad is one of the best I’ve ever had. They always have fantastic specials as well. Can’t wait for my next visit!
