Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Chatham – 2024

Having grown up on the Cape this is must stop. The atmospheres lively, the staff is super friendly and the food is delicious! Always on point and fresh! Kid friendly and adult friendly! You won't be disappointed whether you try the hot lobster roll or the cold lobster roll!

Place was good. Lobstah roll was good. I should have gotten the salad though. O rings were good. Kids got chicken tenders no complains. Wife got rib tips. Tasted like charcoal cooked. Cook medium as asked. My highlight was the Castillo. I had to share with my son who's 9. It's lobster bisque mixed with new England clam chowder. Absolutely the best idea ever. I'd go back again.

The burrata salvaged the rest of the meal. Clam strips were really gummy and off, fish tacos seemed sour. Chicken pesto was decent but couldn't make up for the rest. Waitress seemed like she couldn't care less about us. Unfortunate experience.

I heard about O'Kellys from a coworker in Bedford, claiming the chicken salad was great. On the way home from NC we stopped in to see for myself. The claiming. Was right on the money! This was the top of the line, I got the chicken salad wrap, Let me say this.... I was truly amazed! So good! 2 way UP!

Paid $7.49 for a “pork bbq” sandwich. Was delivered a stale bun with about three ounces of microwave reheated grocery store barbecue wrapped in plastic. The “gas station food” across the road is wayyy better than this. Not to mention the table is nasty and sticky.

Stopped by to get lunch and as usual they are out of multiple items. The restroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks as well as urine all over the floor.

Ambiance was too bright for my taste but the place was welcoming. Scallops were on point and my steak was juicy with the perfect balance of salt and pepper. We will be back for sure.

Jt’s on Main is the perfect spot for dinner and drinks! We had the Three cheese oysters for an app and they were delicious. Ribeye was perfectly cooked and the stuffed Portabello mushroom was excellent! Service is always wonderful and very friendly!

So enjoy going there. The food is awesome!! Colleen and Christina are So awesome. We live an hour away, but go there whenever we can

First visit to this McDonald's. Place is spacious, spotless and well run. The staff are caring and considerate, but the food I have had here was pretty average, run-of-the-mill. Nothing spectacular or bad. All in all, quite good. Recommended!

I can't say one negative thing about this location. Food was hot and really fresh. Every single employee was respectful and genuine

My dad always gets takeout, so I don't have any opinion on the atmosphere. I feel neutral about the service. Here's my issue. While the food is usually pretty good, my drink always gets messed up. It seems like everytime I get a meal, I get unsweet tea instead of sweet tea. When I only get tea, it's sweet. Why can't I get sweet tea with my meal? I don't usually complain about these things online, but this is ridiculous.

Spent two years at The Lofts. Chatham is a great area and The Lofts are a wonderful asset. Pet friendly with its own dog park, each unit having its own washer and dryer, close to post office, restaurants and grocery stores. Property management and maintenance staff very helpful and friendly. All this in a property that was once the elementary school. Lots of history and interesting floor plans. Would highly recommend this property!

Our stay at the Chatham Lofts has been wonderful; we found the Lofts to be a quiet and clean place to live. The property management and maintenance has been very responsive in addressing any concerns. There is also a community garden for growing/sharing vegetables. Chatham Lofts is very dog friendly as well. I highly recommend the Lofts!

Lived here overall 7 years in two different apartments and got a real understanding of how the property owner and site manager operate. It's all about the money. Be sure to read your lease and if you complain to the property owner, potentially, your lease will not be renewed. This happened to me after 7 years of being at The Lofts. I was paying $950 monthly when my lease ended and thought it was overpriced, but it's the only place in town that excepts pets so out of convenience my decision was made. I will say this, every apartment I had visited (I knew a lot of tennants) till the day I left had not been repainted since 2013 and the patch work can visibly be seen with the different shades of white on the walls especially in my last apartment. So currently, as of September 30th, 2021, the majority of appliances were original to 2013, the places needed repainting, and also numerous leaks in the roof of the main historic building with plaster occasionally falling from the ceiling. I say this so you're aware before committing to your lease. You may want to consider something in Danville operated by Wilkins and Company. Wilkins gives substantially back to the City and County if that's an influence for you. I will say this about The Lofts, the maintenance team does well and will fix things the best possible way to their constraints of the owner. I hope this helps as you consider your housing options.

The establishment was very clean. The Ben the bathrooms! The kids meal was awesome coming with milk, fries, apple sauce and two DELICIOUS chicken tenders. They had two differ t size straws which was awesome. Drink selection was good and the drink area was very clean!

One of the worst experiences ever eating at Hardee's. Ordered 2 sandwiches with egg and was charged 90 cents ea and not the advertised 60 per as shown on the board as an add on to ANY sandwich. I asked about this and was told in a rude and disrespectful manner that he didn't care what the board says he's going off what his computer says, I should have drove away on the spot. He didn't make an inquiry and the management that was standing behind him instead of addressing the problem walked off. We have always supported this franchise for as long as I can remember but now I'm embarrassed to even eat here ever again. 0 stars including the cold food and uncooked tator totts. McDonald's is next door.. go there

It's an okay spot for a quick bite. The food is fine. Plenty of space in the dining area. Decent parking lot.

Really enjoyed our meal. My son had three types of street tacos, the Diablo was the best. I had the Carne en su Jugo, which was fantastic...a Tomatillo, steak, pinto bean, and poblano pepper soup. Excellent. Great margaritas and service. Loved it.

Servers were very nice, the tacos and burritos were all great I wouldn't really recommend the pineapple

I've eaten here 2 or 3 times, it's right down the road. Fast and friendly service. Food is excellent and affordable

Will definitely come back. Tastes as good or better than Chick-fil-A. The honey biscuits are sticky with honey. And I like supporting local owned places. Definitely stop here.

Love the finger lickin good chicken. The meal also included a honey biscuit or blueberry biscuit. Both are yummy. The staff was super friendly.

I was traveling through the area last Friday. I wasn't sure where I was and was completely reliant on my GPS. My phone was dieing and I stopped in this store to hopefully buy a charger . I have a new phone and it requires a C charger ..the store didnt have one but the gentleman that was working had just bought himself a micro USB to C adaptor ..he gave it to me so I would have my phone and be able to use my GPS. I was floored by his kindness. I wish I knew his name. He saved me that day. Thank you so much!!!

I picked up a couple subs and a pretzel and was very disappointed with everything i got to say the least. Barely any meat in my chicken bacon ranch sub and same for the other one (the one piece of bacon on each sub was soggy and tiny) as well as a hair i found as soon as i unwrapped my food. Even the cheese for my pretzel was cold and solid. I ordered on the mobile app and left a tip before seeing my food

We stopped at this Subway on Rte 29 in Chatham near Tightsqueeze, VA because we were looking for a clean mobility friendly companion assistance restroom—a rarity on rural highways! A billboard advertises clean restrooms at this Subway location and the bathrooms were clean, open space individual mobility friendly bathrooms we could make do with and a walker could fit. There was handicap parking at the door and a few different people offered to assist my father walking in with Parkinson’s. The manager and staff were friendly and took pride in the clean restaurant. The sandwiches were adequately filled with a variety of fresh ingredients. We even stopped again on our way home. A good restaurant to keep in mind when traveling between Lynchburg and Danville, Greensboro or Charlotte!

I thought I was going to e joy a chicken sandwich with extra cheese, but I was handed a spinach and lettuce sandwich with 3 small pieces of red o ion and a out a teaspoon of chicken. I drove back around to ask where everything was on my sandwich to which the lady replied the cheese was under the chicken, well, what chicken and she offered me tomatoes to put on the side as the screen didn't pick it up on the order. I don't know which was worse the sandwich or customer service. I will not be back.It was so unbelievable I took a picture

It was my first visit here. Clients in Lynchburg recommended that I make a pitstop here in Chatham on my way back home. I knew I was in for a surprise when even the nice ladies working at the gas station next door gave a rousing endorsement for the fried chicken! They weren’t kidding! The restaurant is a tiny , modest place with very friendly, welcoming, and attentive staff. I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken dinner with sides and a sweet tea as recommended by Cameron, who was very helpful! Thank you! The chicken was amazing! Lightly breaded, perfectly spiced, and absolutely flavorful!? I would guess that the chicken is brined because this was probably ONE OF THE BEST samples of fried chicken that I’ve ever tasted! It’s been a bit of an informal mission…okay, an obsession..to find the best fried chicken…and I’ve come across this standard bearer here in beautiful and quaint Chatham, VA! Wow, this is a game changer! You have to make your way here! You won’t regret it!

Quaint roadside diner. The fried chicken and sides were tasty. The prices were great! Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Great food on the fly. I'm surprised to see one still open. So I had to stop by and get some crispy chicken. The servers were excellent and had the food out quick! Tip: Tell them to go easy on the gravy. Half my mashed potato bowl was gravy.

The dishes my wife and I had a very good, my daughter was not too happy with the enchiladas that are pictured here. The cake was very good but the people working there didn't know what kind of cake it was.

Found this little gem in downtown Chatham, Virginia while looking for somewhere for me and my daughter to go for lunch. The atmosphere was very calming, food was delicious, and the service staff were amazing. Prices were very reasonable and portion sizes were a good size. If you’re around I would definitely recommend you try them out!

Middle aged lady didnt wear gloves when prepping the pizzas and proceeded to go in and out of the cooler, and use there phones while making the food. Disgusting. Then when I mentioned it to the girl at the counter, the girl making my pizza said it was fine cause she washes her hands (I stood there for 15 minutes waiting on my pizza, with four other people also waiting for other orders, no hands were washed, I watched .....)

I tried a melt and tavern style pizza. l learned, alpha gal and loss of gall bladder made the food i should not eat a bit of a mystery. It became clear to me, even with chicken as the only meat, this is food i should never eat. I will consider for guests and my kids.

Delicious!!! Thin crust pepperoni, ham,pork,beef. It was Really good. Clerk was printing my ticket as I walked in, smiling and happy What a nice surprise! When I ordered the large and thought they meant a large portion, not a large container. All the juice was in the bag. The chicken was delicious but the rice was terrible. I will not be returning at $16 for portions that small

I'm pretty sure I paid 30$ for boneless wings.. The egg roll was pretty strange.. I know there isn't fish in it but it smelled and tasted like fish.. When I started dissecting it I saw some ambiguous meat material and a paste substance.. The person who took my order was really sweet, but the food was pretty bad.. Especially for the price.. I ate there years ago and it was pretty run of the mill, but it isn't even that now.. I really think they served frozen boneless wings with a sauce pack

A very nice place to eat. The food is authentic and the people are nice to do business with. Our family of 3 purchased 2 combos the general tso and the broccoli and shrimp. It was very flavorful. Everyone was happy
