It's a good place to eat the food is good but sometimes it can get busy hard to find seats
They give you the tiniest enchiladas and tacos, and their margaritas absolutely suck. If you want children sized proportions for adult prices, definitely go here. Otherwise, definitely don't go here.
We had take out from La Rancherita and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about the food and the experience. We look forward to going back to dine in the restaurant because it was comfortable, clean and had wonderful Mexican music, which we enjoy very much! You will feel welcomed and well-nurtured here!
Dr. Gyros is a vibrant and innovative eatery dedicated to bringing the authentic flavors of Mediterranean cuisine to the heart of our community. Specializing in gyros, souvlaki,…
I would order carryout. The atmosphere was terrible. Dirty throughout, and staff didn't apparently care as I was the only customer in the building. Needs to be remodeled and booths need replaced. The food was really good as usual. I have been going here since it opened and was sad to see it in such need of attention. Wouldn't take much to make acceptable. So until improvements are made, I think I will pass......
I called at 6:45 and the phone rang for a full two minutes before someone picked up. When they did, they audibly sighed when they picked up the phone and just said Hello. Nothing else. No "Dr. Gyros" no "Hi, how can I help?" Nothing. Just hello. I, confused if i got the wrong number, asked if I can get an order to go. He didn't ask for my name or phone number. Just a rude and short, "what do you want?" I asked for a Greek salad with extra tomato for my partner and they're OUT OF TOMATO? Go to the grocery store and get some more until truck comes. We just said thanks we'll go somewhere else. The responses written out don't look too bad but the tone in this person's voice was so absolutely distasteful and dismissive, on top of being out of tomato that me and my partner just couldn't believe it. That was absolutely wild. Unreal. Super rude customer service.
This is a great place for some Mediterranean food options. I tested out their gyros and loved them. These are carved off the loaf style, not the lame frozen strips. Staff seemed courteous and friendly. I would gladly stop back next time I'm in Rock Island.

I went to Pee Wee's on 12/3/24, for some take out food, as I always wanted to try their food. I had Collard Greens, Seafood Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, Corn Bread, plus Peach Cobbler. The first four were so excellent. I have not had this good of food since I was IN NOLA. The Peach Cobbler was the best I have ever had. I sure will be back!!! THANK YOU!!
This chicken is a problem (in a good way) is seasoned to perfection even the breat moist. I got green beans and mashed potatoes the green beans was seamed but I would have liked potatoes in them and the mashed was not bad... This is definitely a go try
The food is good and seasoned well. The porkchops are so tender you can use a plastic fork to eat with. The mac and cheese is good. The wings are moist and crisp. The meat pies are flavorful. Now that Shrimp POboy is good but you know us Southerners know that POboy needs to be bigger. Now you will have to wait for food to be prepared fresh. THIS IS NOT FAST FOOD. You will not be disappointed FYI, if you want oxtails. They are ready on weekends at 5pm
Alfano’s Pizza is a premier family-owned pizzeria dedicated to serving authentic, mouthwatering Italian cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Located in the heart of…
Lifelong resident of the Quad Cities… we finally tried tried Alfano’s tonight. I was met by a pleasant voice on the phone and again in person picking up. The staff seemed to be working as a team to create the pizzas for each order. We tried the “regular crust” - one with sausage and pepperoni, and one with half cheese/half sausage. The pizza was still hot at our house 20 minutes later, and we found it to be very tasty and of great quality. See you again soon!
Our first time ordering Alfano's. It definitely didn't disappoint. The crust was perfectly cooked, the sauce was very tasty and they put plenty of tasty toppings on their pizza. It was a 40 mile drive for us to get there and it was worth it. We will definitely order their pizza again.
Really damn good pizza! Right up there with some of my favorite places in the southside of Chicago. You know you're getting a great pizza when it's family owned and carry out only. Definitely order again when I'm in town! Sorry about the photo. I was chowing down while typing this review

Only carryout is available so we ate in the RV. Great pizza. Always wanted to try the quad cities version. I grew up on Chicago style. Definitely a different pie but tasty none the same.
We had ordered 4 large pizza’s and 3 cups of pizza sauce, $105.00 order. We are noticing there is less pizza sauce on these pizzas and the gold rush taste nothing like gold rush. Is this gonna be the norm? I don’t think I will come back if this is the new Harris taste.
On August 17, 2024. My husband ordered a large taco pizza and a large Hat Trick pizza. My husband and kids and myself we all went for the ride to pick up our pizza. When we got home, we opened it, barely had cheese, about five slices had no cheese and you could actually see only crust and pizza sauce. We were so disappointed, felt like we were been robbed. Now a days is very hard to eat out, everything is expensive. We paid $70 dollars. My husband called Harris Pizza#1 and explained that our $70 dollars pizzas were very poor. We even sent a picture to Facebook in messages but No answer back and we never received anything on our mail from them. We are not the type of people that scam for free food. Today we tried to redeem our pizza but it turns out that who ever my husband spoke to NEVER wrote down or file our complaint. A manager that my husband spoke to, confirmed that they didn't filed our complaint. Husband said to manager nevermind on the whole situation, we just won't go back.
Rock Island Ale House is a vibrant and welcoming establishment that celebrates the rich traditions of craft brewing and hearty American cuisine. Nestled in the heart of a bustli…
Convenient location and great food. Staff was friendly and checked on food allergy issues. Nice menu with a good selection of items. Came in later evening and they were very friendly and accommodating of our group. Quick service and friendly staff.
Rock Island Ale house is primarily meant for the guests of the attached Holiday Inn. That being said, they still welcome people outside the establishment. The servers were very friendly, and were very prompt and helpful. I ordered their popular monte cristo, and I was satistfied with the quality. The breading was very thick and crunchy, but despite the messiness, the flavor was still on point. Fries are often very hit-or-miss, but this place did very well. Very cripsy, hot, and not soggy or bad-tasting. The only food that I thought was a bit lacking was the coleslaw. Its often very different from region to region, but this coleslaw was probably half composed of raw, red onions. Because of this the slaw was very harsh on the palate, and left an undesirable aftertaste. This could just be personal preference, but no one in my party enjoyed it. The portion sizes are very large for what you pay for. No one in my party was able to finish their plate, and we all took leftovers home.
Karen was our server. She was the only front staff. She did a good job being a host, bartender, and server. We ordered the egg rolls, which were yummy. My husband got the turkey o'toole sandwich and loved it. I ordered the chicken sandwich and was not impressed. The cook forgot the avocado, and my bottom bun was soggy. I do not recommend that sandwich. I got the sangria and if you like watermelon you will love it.

Just what I needed after a long day of photography. Down to earth, friendly, and accommodating staff. Serving up some delicious comfort food. The green beans rocked, and the pork melted in my mouth.
Jim's Rib Haven is hands-down one of our favorite spots! The food is amazing, with flavors that are simply delicious. Every dish is packed with that perfect barbecue taste that keeps us coming back. It’s a place we love to enjoy as a family – we appreciate the welcoming staff and incredible food. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, mouth-watering barbecue ribs!"
If you love BBQ, then you have to stop by Jims Rib Haven. I've been going there for years and always fantastic BBQ. Their house made sauce is legendary along with the baby backs! You can buy it to go if you want for your own BBQ. If you're in the Quad Cities and love BBQ, it's a must try. A+ (forgot to add, you can bring your own beer in)

i ordered 2 quesabirria tacos, a soda, rice & beans. Spent $20 with tip! The tacos were amazing and of course there were complimentary chips and salsa. You seat yourself and i didn’t have to wait long before my order was taken. I went around 515pm on a Tuesday. Will return and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some good mexican food
Excellent, quick service. Nice looking food. The Grande Burrito is HUGE! Very clean
I loved it! I had a great experience and loved the service!! Me and my boyfriend were visiting from out of town and stopped at this cute little dinner for some drinks before the long drive home! The place was cleanly and fast

Gorgeous spot for dining-in located right on the Rock River! Loved sitting outside, eating our lunches and staring out at the view. Both meals were pretty good, nothing that was mind blowing but it was overall enjoyable. The service was very fast and knowledgeable about their menu. I would definitely recommend for a nice lunch and/or dinner down by the river.
As one of the top 10% of Google reviewers for restaurants in the USA, I write this review with a heavy heart. I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for quite some time, and while my experiences have generally been positive, my most recent visit was so terrible that I felt compelled to leave a 1-star review. We started with loaded fries, which were barely edible. They arrived without the sour cream we expected, and we had to ask for it separately. Worse, the fries tasted like they were fried in old oil, had zero seasoning, and were genuinely disgusting. Then came the salad bar—something I was initially told came with my meal. Moments later, our server embarrassed me by saying it actually didn’t and that I’d be charged. I changed my order to avoid this, settling on the smothered chicken, which was so dry that I struggled to swallow every bite. The green beans were rancid, and the French dressing had an odd pickled taste. The broccoli cheese soup was old and off-tasting, which even the manager later admitted. My wife also opted for the salad bar but walked away hungry, as her selections were just as unappetizing. The potato soup, which should have been fresh, was notably stale. My son ordered the grown-up grilled cheese and had to pick off tomatoes that were clearly past their prime. The only redeeming item was my youngest’s pizza—but honestly, pizza is hard to mess up. When I asked if they had lost their regular cook, I was told no, but I can’t imagine how this could be the same kitchen I’ve known in the past. The “manager” came over after I expressed my concerns, wearing a smug expression and dismissing most of my feedback, aside from admitting that the potato soup was indeed old. She offered us free dessert, which we declined, and her indifferent attitude was the final straw. We ended up at McDonald’s afterward, where we had a far more satisfying meal. It’s sad to see a once-dependable spot decline so sharply, but I won’t be returning.
I just want to thank you and all of your staff for staying open for Thanksgiving. The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I know they all sacrificed time with their own loved ones to stay open and I want them all to know you made our day special. So, thank you.
Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream – Rock Island is a vibrant and family-friendly restaurant dedicated to delivering delicious, high-quality food in a fun and welcom…
Monday any large/ anyway you want and 2 ltr.pop about 22-23.00. I get taco w/ beansauce & extra sausage sour cream on side
So… I grew up on Happy Joe’s Pizza. As a kid I used to climb the stairs to the viewing window and watch the employees make the pies. Then I even worked for the company in my late teens and early twenties for 5 years. Loved that stuff. I eventually became one of the people that started early and made fresh dough every day. I never got tired of it! Fast forward to the 2010s-2020s and I became very disappointed with the quality of Happy Joe’s Pizza to the point that I wouldn’t buy it anymore. And yes it is expensive. The majority of the ingredients are the same as they were 30 years ago or more but the crust was like cardboard. Yuk! Every once in a while I think “what if they went back to freshly made dough every day? Then they could charge a lot because you know you are getting the quality again.” Well today I decided I was craving a Combo Pizza (formerly garden) from Happy Joe’s. I grabbed one on my way home at lunch. At the drive up window I asked the manager if they ever considered making dough from scratch again instead of frozen. She then told me something that blew my mind… they are making the dough from scratch again! Since restructuring things after recent world events (the disease that shall remain nameless) they started making dough daily again in Milan and it is shipped to Rock Island and a couple other stores. She said "it’s as close to the old recipe as they can get." On my drive home I scarfed down the pizza and was surprised to discover it was super good! I even ate the “pizza bones”! I looked down at the small pizza box… No survivors… So excited that Rock Island Happy Joe’s is back to kicking butt again! Next time: Taco Supreme…
I got the new pretzel pizza and I wasn't impressed. Not up to Happy Joe's standards. Theres no cheese on it, only a thin layer of cheese sauce. I called it in for pick up and was told 20 minutes, I got there in 20 minutes and still had to wait 10 more minutes and the pizza wasn't even hot. Very disappointed this time.

FAVORITE Thai Restaurant in the QC Area!! My wife and I absolutely love this place. We have had Thai food from very many places and this is at the top. The Food is incredible! Service even when busy is as fast as they can get. And I love the small two person booths! Start with the Pork Dumplings and/or Fresh Rolls both are delicious. I usually get the Pad Kee Mao with Duck, it is one of the best wide noodled dices I've had. My wife loves their Gra Pow and Panang Curry, I've had bites of both and I definitely recommend them too. Military Discount btw! Awesome place, definitely a Must visit!
It's a hidden gem in a quiet area. Despite the very empty surroundings, the small downtown area is endearing. The place was empty, except for a couple of patrons, but the staff was friendly. The food, especially the perfectly done Tom Kha soup, was excellent - we liked that it didn’t have too much coconut in it. The Sample Platter, Pork and Chicken skewers, and Pineapple Chicken were delicious. The restaurant has a few booths, then a larger area in the back for a larger party, and the cutest most romantic set of about 6, two-people seating areas that are in these small cozy booths. I have never seen anything like that. The service was relaxed and friendly. We would definitely return and highly recommend it.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place! The staff has been extremely kind and helpful every visit. They'll make substitutions when asked and will elaborate on aspects of the menu when necessary. The atmosphere is clean, cozy, and tasteful with understated but well chosen decor. Of course, most importantly, is their food. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every dish I've had has been incredible! My personal favorite is their street rice dish, though I got it with chicken instead of shrimp. The spices are delightful, the lime and cilantro were bright and fresh, and the chicken was incredibly tender! Their fresh rolls and crispy pork belly are fantastic as well.

place is trash now under new owners . pizza thrown together slowly making ingredients like the other place they own . Like people wont notice after 30 years of eating poor boys. this was to be a half pepperoni / half pepperoni and black olives . its half crust and topping thrown on there all willy nilly
The employee was nice when I got my pickup order. The cheesy garlic bread was bitter and undercooked. I ordered mushrooms with ranch and not only were there only a few mushrooms for $9.99... But for some reason, I ended up with cheese sauce instead of ranch. I'm not a poor review kind of person, but if it would have let me give zero stars, that's what I would have given my forty five dollar investment.
I ate the best ravioli of my life here with a delicious meat sauce. The staff was very friendly and when I complimented the dish they said it was a family recipe all made freshly in house. I suspected as much because it was very good and oodles better than any chain dinner place.

The mushroom Swiss burger, fries, and ranch dressing was delicious! Seating was limited as it was very crowded. Tables are very close to each other and the stools have you sitting low for the tall tables.
Great fun place! But what will bring us back is the amazing service! Our bartender, Carli, was totally on her game. She made us feel welcome like we were old friends.
Horrible bartenders they pay no attention to who’s next and randomly wonder back and forth. Not polite or respectful to customers unless you’re a regular from whet we saw. Never need to go to this place again.

Clean place. Fantastic cinnamon pancakes. The light cream cheese topping is sooo good! Couldn't eat the corned beef hash. Flavor good but I can't eat meat interlaced with fat & tissue. I should have known. This is the real-deal hash if u want that. Waitress, Helena was extra polite. She noticed it was barely touched and took it off the bill. She was attentive and professional. I give their perfect cup of coffee an A+. I highly recommend this place.
This place looks old fashion but it looks updated inside. The staff is super nice and very helpful. This place gets busy during the weekends so I try to go during the weekdays. The service was fast and the food was good. My husband loved the pancakes. The cinnamon roll was fresh and warm. I would totally go back. Also.. they make sure your drinks are filled so that was really nice.
Had the barbacoa skillet that was amazing. It's little on the expensive side but worth every cent. Plenty of meat in the skillet for the carnivore in you. Service was great. My coffee was never empty, which is always a plus.

Quick service! Delicious food! Plenty of seating! Great prices! Some of your usual Mexican fare but some not so common! Loved it!
Everything was great except for the pricing. I think everything is over priced compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. Good food, smaller portions. Soda is $4!! Which is ridiculous. 2 lunch combos, queso dip, quesadilla and 4 drinks cost $60! Most expensive lunch I ever had.
Absolutely delicious!! You can never go wrong with genuine authentic Mexican food. My server Memo was great and the food was nothing short of amazing!! 5 star experience!!
