Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Cordele – 2024

Wow! Excellent food! Lucky we found this place since we were just traveling through. Well worth it! Didn’t take the photo until I was half way done, but it was wonderful. I had the white fish with fried green tomatoes and onion rings. My husband had the scallops, which were excellent and cooked just right!

Eat here, you will not regret it! Service is great. Prices are fair and food is outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, seasoned to perfection, and the presentation was on point. Ranch and tartar sauce are made in house and taste amazing! And the best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever had.

What a shame. I'm not a food snob and I've never asked anyone to do more than what they were employed to do. With that said, mother-in-laws birthday dinner is going to get a redo. Tri-County Seafood in Cordele has dropped the ball... This establishment used to be our absolute go to. The service and food have steadily went downhill the last three times we've been there. They can't stock appropriately as they were out of far more than they had available. The entire staff is incompetent at doing their jobs as it took 4 people over the course of 45 minutes to enter a successful order. 3 out of the 4 plates were mediocre, but check out the quality of this boil...

This is more of a carry out place. The employees were nice. We were the only people there around lunch time on a Saturday. The food was hot and prepared well. Got chicken quesadilla and some tongue tacos. The chicken in the quesadilla was every part of the chicken, I'm pretty sure mine had some gizzards in it. The tongue was seasoned well. As long as you don't mind eating all parts, it's ok. The street corn tasted like canned corn. The cost was reasonable. The store area has a variety of food and clothing items. Had boots, belts, shirts and hats.

I initially had an issue with their hours not being accurate on here. I went a couple of times when I was passing Cordele, and they were closed when their posted hours said they were open. However, in my recent visit, I got accurate hours. The tacos are AUTHENTIC and probably the best ones in the area. The "Mexican" food you see all over South GA is pretty bad. If you're looking for some authentic and delicious tacos them come over to El Milagro.

We were staying the night in Cordele and read a positive review on Google. Do not be put off by the lack of atmosphere. You enter through a retail space and there are a few booths and tables in a separate room. It's a family establishment. I had a chicken burrito and my spouse had the carnitas tacos with corn tortillas. This is not tex mex, but more traditional. The other customers were Spanish speakers. The carnitas are only available on weekends. Highly recommend unless you don't like cilantro (we do), there was a lot. The burrito was browned on the grill and extremely delicious. If you are just looking for good food, we recommend this place highly.

Friendly greeting at the door and great table service. My salad arrived fast and the steak followed at an appropriate pace. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium. It was a tough cut of meat (I ordered the sirloin at the recommendation of the server) and I really had to chew and chew. It needed salt added. The restaurant had nice background music and the atmosphere was relaxing and not too dark, not too bright. The menu has a nice selection for everyone. Would I return? Yes.

Service and atmosphere were great. They have a full service bar with an Old Fashioned on the menu. A sign of a good bar is how they make this drink. They used regular maraschino cherries (instead of Amarena or Luxardo) and too much ice - which made it a bit watered down. Also, wasn’t given a choice on bourbon. For an appetizer, we got the fried green tomatoes and they were good, but a little greasy. For entree I got the fish sandwich and a side salad. The sandwich was pretty big and the sauce it came with was good. My wife got the steak with broccoli and cheese. Steak was cooked right and was decent. The broccoli was okay, however, I’m fairly sure the cheese on top is Velveeta. Overall, we had a decent time

We were just driving through on the way to Florida and decided to stop for some lunch. Food and service was excellent! Best Loaded potato soup I’ve ever had!

From the outside you can see the history in the building. On the inside it's historically beautiful. The tables were comfortable and unique. The pool tables were a surprisingly good addition. The restaurant was also very clean. We seemed to be the first guest but it gave me an opportunity to see what they had to offer at its core. The food was hot and super delicious. The appetizer came in a speedy fashion and the entrees were appropriately spaced. The sweet potato fries were fried perfectly. They were the best restaurant sweet potato fries, I've ever had. The spinach dip had an extreme amount of garlic in it which kind of ruined it. Service could have been. Our waitress seemed sweet but I got the feeling she wasn't really ready to start her day.

Cute little place to grab a bite. Nick was our server and was great.the burger was wonderful! Local beef option available for a slight up charge. Great atmosphere, food made to order, and will definitely be back!

We visit the area regularly and wanted to try something different. Made the right choice! The food - fried mushrooms, steak tacos, craft beer burger - was excellent. Great service and atmosphere. Very much enjoyed it and will come back again

Great food and a family friendly place, make sure you sit near the front or in the open and not in the back corner. They weren’t slow but it can be busy and they might forget for a second ONLY a second that you are there but its worth the wait.

Some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever eaten. You would never expect it from the outside. It's a small restaurant in a run down strip mall. The food is good, the service was super nice, and the prices were amazing (no Biden inflation)

We always stop in when in town... a 20-year tradition. It's nice to see some familiar faces. Very spacious seating area, food arrives promptly after ordering, and sweet tea is bountiful!

Our family stopped here on our way back from Florida. We love Cracker Barrel!! They were not busy, which we thought was good because we needed to get back on the road to home. We ordered white cheddar bites for an appetizer. We have kids and they were hungry. They finally arrived after 45 min! You would think we would have gotten an apology or explanation or even some biscuits and cornbread … nope! We then waited 30 or more minutes for our food to arrive. I had ordered chicken fried chicken and received steak. Our silverware was dirty, not like some spots, really dirty. We asked for disposable because the table next to us was also complaining about their silverware. We really wanted the cornbread that was offered when we first arrived but only got biscuits that felt old (we got these with our meal an 1hr 15 min after we got there). We heard our server tell the table next to us that they didn’t have cornbread. Of course we had to use the restroom before we left. It was so bad. Do the employees go in the restroom? Why would almost every stall be out of toilet paper?? It’s sad that people just don’t care anymore. We were so disappointed with this entire experience.

Ordered home style chicken…..got two overcooked dry hard chicken tenders. NOT happy. Told manager and was told the grill cook is new. Smh, photo below with butter knife for scale.

So, first off I want everyone to know that this was my first time going to VJ's and I had come there to get me some breakfast... and keep in mind that I only had $5 in cash & I planned on spending as little as possible and when I went inside and told the employee that I only had $5 and asked what the cheapest thing is you have, he told me to keep my money, and he basically said it's on the house and asked me what I want. Talk about being a good Samaritan. I thanked him and told him I'll be back. Next time I come back I'm giving him a tip.

Hands down the best wings in town. Neckbones and oxtails are superb! Anyone who hasn't tried this establishment I definitely encourage you to do so immediately! Great service, great prices, great food, family friendly atmosphere!

My family and I tried the wing meals today. The wings and fries were delicious. I love the hit that the mild and lemon pepper have.The customer service was A1. Definitely will be coming again!

First time coming here, and I must say that it did not disappoint. Drinks were delicious, and the food was even better! Definitely recommend it to anyone who is in the area to check out Pancho's!

Texas Rice = A blessing direct from God! The Bostonian server was fantastic and the 32 ounce beers don't hurt a think about it. Enjoyed the meal as always.

I would like to first say that we have eaten here multiple times, and the food has ALWAYS BEEN amazing. In fact, I've had this dish before, and it was good. This review is for the way I was treated. I received my meal and when I ate it, everything had a charred /burnt taste. Again, I've had it before, and there was not an overwhelming burnt taste. I was unable to eat my meal. When I told the server, she contacted the kitchen. Someone came out and very matter of fact told me that the name was "burnt cheese". Thinking I had misread the menu, I got a menu. No where in the description states that the food is burnt. Upon a Google search, the name translates to burnt cheese. Since I am not bilingual, there would be no way for me to know this. Along with the fact that I have had this before, and it didn't taste like that. I asked to speak with the manager, and he completely wrote it off, telling me it stated it was on a skillet. I didn't try to argue as it was obvious that he wasnt going to try and nake it right, I knew it was on a skillet and served sizzling. I've had it before, and it didn't taste like this. I could not eat my meal. It is very disappointing that a place that we've eaten at on numerous occasions would write it off like this. I was not trying to get out of paying for my meal. However, I did end up leaving, having only had cheese dip and salsa for supper and a bill of over $50 for 2 people.

Really enjoyed the dogs. Was bummed there was no one old enough to pour a beer though. Eh, can't win em all.

I tried their breakfast today for the first time. Everything you see here was about $10. The biscuits and gravy were good, but cold. The grits were a watery consistency, but fine after I added butter and salt. The bacon tasted fresh and it was crispy. Overall it was good! I would say if the grits and gravy were thickened a little, this would be better than Fast Stop.

I will NEVER eat here again! Food nasty and plus I ordered a scrambled dog TODAY just to eat one hotdog and the other one with only a bun (no hotdog)??? Do better when serving your customers!

This place is an absolute must stop. I got the below lunch with coconut pie(not pictured) for 13$. I am in town here for work and will try to eat here daily. The fried chicken was amazing. I had the fried pork chop yesterday. The strawberry shortcake was outstanding as well.

This is a great, local restaurant. Not so obvious that there's a restaurant inside the convenient store, but once you discover it, you will definitely return. Good Ole southern home cooking. Open for breakfast too!! Definitely a hidden gem in Cordele.

I was in the area at just the right time to find this gem. Their food is off the chain!! I was a little late for breakfast but they still hooked me up. People were steadily rolling in AND filling up the parking lot for the drive-thru. The workers moved with friendly speed and efficiency like you rarely see anymore. I was impressed and enjoyed every minute of my stop. I had to give one of the ladies a hug because she reminded me of my great grandma. if you're ever in the area do not pass this up. It's the best down-home cooking.

Staff was friendly. They weren’t sure about rice being vegan and had to ask someone else (I guess I’ll find out later). Vegan options were veggies (no tofu). Country music was the vibe going on here. Food was pretty good. I liked their various choices of hot sauces!

Great place. We were on our way to Orlando from Atlanta. Very good food. They are very generous, fresh ingredients, the meats are cooked perfectly, authentic flavor. The service was great and the staff very kind. We loved it. I wish they had one close to Atlanta.

I ordered on line for a quick pick up. My food was ready,and the burrito I ordered tasted pretty good. It was sort of typical fare, like a Moe’s or Chipotle. No complaints. The bathroom definitely needed tending. The chips were a little stale, and the oil didn’t taste fresh. Even so, out the door for about $9, I was satisfied.

Wow, this is a very nice Chick-fil-A! We are traveling on I-75 and this restaurant is conveniently located off exit 101. All of the employees were welcoming and took my order with a smile. The whole restaurant including the bathroom was clean. They had a nice play area for children to play. We ordered Classic Chicken Sandwiches. They asked if we wanted packets of mayonnaise. We didn’t need it, they were delicious without it.

When we pulled in here on a road trip the day before Thanksgiving and I saw 25-30 people ahead of me in line, I was thinking maybe we'd have to leave and grab lunch at a less busy place. Yet I was ordering at the cash register in 5 minutes and our food came 5 minutes after that! Both the person who took my order and gave me our food were lovely to me and, while efficient, did not make me feel like they were rushing me along to "get me out of the way." Even in an absolutely packed fast food establishment at a quick road stop, I felt like a person here, not a number. It was a pleasant surprise to a girl coming from a city where everyone in food service makes it clear they couldn't care if you lived or died And of course, the food was perfect. Thank you, everyone here--you were doing things with care and excellence even at the most demanding time! Wow.

BEST PLACE AROUND!! ❤️ Why didn't we go here first!!?? We pulled off for gas 15 miles earlier and the DQ was disgusting and no one wanted to wait on us!! This Chick-fil-A was SO CLEAN and Carter Brackett was polite and very nice taking our order!! Chick-Fil-A you're awesome!!! ❤️✝️ #GodBlessYou

Always a great experience. Has expanded since I was year last year. Good service. If you have been here in the past, come on back for real southern cooking.

Authentic, southern soul, food! Good home cooking. Very friendly. We had Fried chicken, butter, beans, turnip greens, macaroni and cheese and rice with gravy all of it was delicious!! Nice big portions:)

Ordered the wings from there and they were delicious!! Walked in to get them and couldn’t help but notice the hot bar! It smelled and looked so good! I’ll be trying that next! Very friendly atmosphere. My order was ready when I got there! I’ll definitely be back!!

The food from the hot bar was awesome!!! Very well seasoned and you can tell Miss Walker is passionate about her food!!!! I had the homemade chicken and dumplings, hamburger steak with onions and peppers in the meat, homemade Mac and real cheese and collards with the big chunks of ham!!! I will be back!!!!

As always she delivers the BEST FOOD in town. I get my usual wings and salad and two big boi burger and like always it’s perfect. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Let's begin me and one of my friends came here for a bite on are trip to Florida. We walked in and it looked pretty nice so we sat down got some food and other all. Went. Down. Everything and I mean everything expect the crab was freezing cold so my friend ate 3 pieces or sushi and that was it. Everything else he spit out. Honestly the sushi is the only good thing, I ate 2 plates of sushi. We asked if they could take off my friends bill cuz he ate all most nothing. We had to argue just to get them to take it off... like it's 13$ chill but no this lady went to everyone and said "they eat?? " in like the rudest tone ever. So just don't eat here

Dragon Buffet and China One share the same kitchen. The place looks kind of dumpy and cramped. However the food was fresh, hot, and plentiful and the service was friendly. Lots of meat choices, fewer vegetable choices.

10 stars!! The food was like it was just prepared. Not like a usual buffet. The broccoli beef was real tender. Green beans was cooked to perfection. Sushi was off the charts, big selection. Frog legs to octopus. Excellent service as well. 10 stars!!
