Great food and drink in a cool venue, unfortunately service a little slow, they seem understaffed, but our waitress was certainly hustling as best she could to take care of all of her tables on a busy Saturday night! Very nice country ham rolls and onion rings, as well as caramel White Russian. Desserts are the stars of the show here - white chocolate praline bread pudding, Little Debbie Christmas Tree cheesecake, and sweet cream pie all great, especially the cheesecake, a must-try! Everything very reasonably priced, desserts a bargain, great value all around!

Pretty good. I've consistently had pleasant experiences here and the service is always quite nice. Unfortunately, the last experience was not as enjoyable, since we had to wait close to an hour for our food, and then when we finally got our food, we had to send something back because the meat on it was undercooked. However, I generally really enjoy going here, and it probably earns a four-star rating. I highly recommend the Volcano Burger, and the Fish and Chips are delicious as well.

This is a very old style diner with massive portions (to a UK national). Fies all the traditional diner stuff, like burgers and pulled pork. The onion rings were enormous. The waitress was outstanding. Very attentive and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you are passing that way.

The staff at Salty Eagle is excellent. Very attentive and aims to please! Honey, Bailey and Grace are great! Top notch staff in the kitchen! Food is always to order. Love going up there for activities like trivia. No complaints here!

Stopped in to check out the restaurant adjacent from the Pro shop. Had a very tasty sandwich and some really great martini's. We sat at the bar and our bartender Honey was just so great. Heard they have a new dinner menu. Can't wait to try out the new fare. Highly recommend.

I was excited to try out since under new management. The service was good. The food was just okay. The food was slow coming to table with only one other couple ordering food. The fries and sandwich was barely warm. The beer was cold!! I will give them another try.

I have eaten in all four British countries, and The Fiddlin' Pig was like eating there all over again. The full English breakfast was delicious, but I was saddened by the lack of potatoes. The steak and ale pie had the perfect amount of crust to filling, and their gravy that they included on the side is both savory and tasty. The dessert (we tried the sticky toffee and bread pudding) was also very good. The staff were friendly and the service was quick; they follow the European model so the tip is included in the price and is absolutely worth it. I will definitely come back to try their rotating menus.

A must-visit spot in Smithfield! English pub is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic British beer with an amazing atmosphere. The beer is a standout—refreshing, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The staff is incredibly friendly and provides top-notch service, making the experience even better. Highly recommend! Best place to visit!

Great atmosphere, great food, great service. So many small details were clearly thought out for an authentic British pub feel. My husband has been in the states from England for 13 years - this is the best sausage rolls, fish bites, and bangers & mash he’s had state side! We can’t wait to come back to try the fish & chips and the scotch eggs!

I finally got a chance to try this restaurant. Although I've looked at photos of the place before, I was surprised how big it is inside. Fortunately, I also arrived in between the breakfast and lunch rushes so I was seated immediately. For my meal, I chose the corned beef hash skillet for its diced corned beef. I've only ever eaten the ground type, so theirs not being greasy earned it bonus points. And after seeing another diner's order of French fries go by, I know I'll have to try them for lunch next time.

The food here was delicious! We were visiting for a wedding and we're glad we stopped here for breakfast. Our server was very nice. We ordered oatmeal that came with an English muffin, an order of pancakes (3 huge pancakes), side of fruit and homemade biscuit. The place was clean and lively.

A very busy eatery opened for breakfast and lunch. My omelette was ok, nothing exceptional. The potatoes were heavily seasoned with seasoning salt which was too strong for my taste. The service was good and based on the full restaurant a lot of people must like the food.

Busy joint on a Saturday night for good reason! Didn't have to wait long for a table, though. Excellent food and service in a charming venue. Country ham biscuits are a must-try - fantastic country ham on delicious sweet potato biscuits! Apple Blossom and Autumn Paradise cocktails were both fun seasonal offerings, well-balanced, light, and refreshing. Pork wings savory and delicious, and apple and goat BLT salad a massive portion and big winner, especially rum-infused apple pieces!

We stopped at this charming busy restaurant on our way back home. Devante, our server, was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! The collard greens have a hidden spicy kick. All the employees were cheerful and helpful, including the hard-working cooks. We highly recommend you try this place if you are in the area. Thanks, Taste of Smithfield.

My family and I recently visited Taste of Smithfield, and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience! The highlight of our meal was the incredibly tasty Sweet Potato Biscuits. They were perfectly baked, with a delightful blend of sweetness and a soft, fluffy texture. Every bite was a treat, and they paired wonderfully with the rest of the meal. I took my mother here for a birthday lunch on 9/27/24. I have visited Smithfield Station once before, but it was back in 2013. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! My mother and I had fish and chips, and I had a burger and fries. In addition, we ordered onion rings as an appetizer. I wish the fish were bigger, but it was still good.

Well we finally made it. We took the day off from work for a day date and we were so glad we did. Instead of individual plates we got three appetizers and finished it with a delicious hot fudge cake. The oyster Rockefeller were delicious with a splash of hot sauce. Gotta have hot sauce. The crab dip had the best pita chips. Our last appetizer was the the teriyaki tuna bites with the pita chips. The tuna was cooked to perfection. Couldn't have asked for a better lunch. The hot fudge cake was so delicious. It had the best hot fudge sauce. We both agreed we would drive the hour drive from our house just to get the hot fudge cake. And being able to enjoy this meal while sitting outside enjoying the cool breeze and water view made the afternoon perfect.

Amazing from greeting to the check! Delicious fresh, wonderfully prepared flounder, scallops, shrimp, ham, and crab. Attentive, delightful wait hostess and staff! Great view! Every dish on the menu is awesome! There is so much to choose from. Wonderful experience.

We had lunch at Smithfield Gourmet Bakery, and it was fantastic! The food was fresh and flavorful, with a great variety to choose from. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back soon for more! Highly recommend!

Y’all, Burrito says this is like stepping into a small town from any Hallmark movie. Think hometown, born country, southern hospitality, and calories don’t count here. If I hadn’t come with mine, you might just find ya husband, or the small town love of your life. Dumpling says small town feels and moves at a small town pace, but worth the wait and time. The hush puppies were good, but the herbed butter was the star of that show. We split a club sandwich on tomato basil bread and onion rings for the side; we split this and did not leave hungry. Solid onion rings. We left with a loaf of that tomato basil bread, cookies, a cupcake, and other bake goods. We also got a slice of their chocolate cake cheesecake, slap yo momma, this is everything Burrito wants in a cheesecake - the flavor, texture, consistency, down to the graham cracker crust, I can’t even tell you the last time I had cheese cake so authentically what I was looking for and ate the crust. We would definitely return, not in a hurry

I often overlooked Sal's as it's nested within a few restaurants in a row, but I will not be overlooking them again! Holy mackerel! What a great place! The food is absolutely wonderful! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the portions are ridiculously huge! The prices are wonderful, and the menu is pretty diverse given that their main product is pizza. I will be eating here a lot more!

My family and I ate at Sal's for the first time last night and we were very pleased! Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious, and the portions are HUGE! The fried ravioli was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, the garlic knots were SUPER garlicky (just the way we like it), and the meat combo pizza was full of great toppings and flavor. We brought home plenty of pizza to have again tonight as well! I was also extremely impressed with the service: we had forgotten our sauces on the table, and our server left the restaurant, came into the store next door where we were, and gave them to us. Thank you Sal's for an awesome first dining experience! It won't be the last!

Ever since this place opened we tried different items on the menu and ended up having the Calzones & Salads as our main orders all the time! Always made fresh and huge portions on salad toppings! If you love Calzone’s look no further , Stick with Sal’s

When I say everything is so good, I really mean it. It’s better than any of your favorite spots in Hampton roads, hands down! I had it last week at a company event and had to return. I live a little over 50mins away in Williamsburg and it was worth the drive. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich that was deee with coupon and Pitmaster sampler which included pulled pork, brisket, chicken tenders with Mac n cheese, collard greens, and baked beans, which I added on to the combo. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the pickle that comes with the meal ( maybe they were out) but I heard they are very good and are made in house. I will be returning sooner than later.

ALWAYS a must stop while in the area. The food is great and the service is stellar. Waited an extra while for fresh ribs, but they were worth it.

It's about the best I've had in Virginia. The pulled pork, the chicken tenders, smoked sausage, hush puppies, potato salad, and baked beans all come together as flavorful and delightful. Nothing is overpowering. The ingredients give it just the right amount of potency. The family oriented staff have genuine smiles to greet returning customers and newbies. Minus one for the amount of fat on my brisket cuts. The pitmaster sampler gives you a taste of several meats. I would come again.

The chicken and broccoli was over cooked and the fried rice was just old and mushy. The Mei fun no flavor at all and my daughter love the lo mein but hates the fried rice. Who wants to eat this. I love Asian food of all kinds. I think this has to have been the worst experience I have ever had.

I am not from around here, but this is the best Chinese food I’ve had by far! Everything is fresh, the chicken is crispy, and even the rice and broccoli are perfectly cooked. The small portions are the perfect amount of food for one person. And the prices are great! They even wrap the containers with plastic wrap so that it doesn’t leak when carrying it. I just wish there was a Chinese restaurant this good where I live.

They are the friendliest Asian people I have ever met and the food is outstanding. I will only eat their food when I want Asian cuisine. I also enjoy watching the husband cook in the kitchen. Very skilled.

Went in and got a double Farmhouse burger with tots. About the 3 bite into the burger I realized the texture was off. It was crispy cooked on the outside but not so much on the inside. It was raw, and even had some bloody juice still in it. I called and talked to the manager and explained my burger was severely undercooked. And requested a refund. He insured me they cook all their burgers to well done. I asked if he was cooking frozen patties. As a cook myself I know by doing so, the out side will appear to be cooked and well done but the inside won’t be cooked at all. He then told me yes he had to take a pack out of the freezer. Not safe, not cool. You’re going to make someone severely sick. I would have rather they said unfortunately we don’t have any patties right now and order something else then to attempt to pull this off. At the very least over cook the darn thing and check to make sure. While he gave me my refund, they get at least a 4 for customer service. But this should have never happened in the first place. Slow down, do it right, do it safely or just don’t do it at all.

The burgers are very tasty and so is the chicken . I ordered the Foghorn Leghorn and it was huge! Got Coleslaw to go with it but the slaw, shredded cabbage mixed to order, didn't have much flavor. Wish they had a few more sides, especially vinegary ones to cut the glorious burger juice! Great burgers and fries, though!

Zero complaints. The staff was pleasant and speedy, and the menu offered things for even our fussiest eater. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I recommend the Farmhouse Burger, and do not hesitate to add some bacon and fried egg to it!

Hubs and crew went for lunch today and brought me takeaway. All reported that their sandwiches were good. I ordered the Alfredo and added salmon which costs $22 after the salmon addition. The sauce is completely tasteless and the consistency of water. It doesn't even coat the spoon. If this is house made alfredo as the menu states, y'all need a new cook. The quality of food has been going downhill for a while now and I always give it one more try. This is my last try.

Great little Italian place! Plenty of atmosphere and the staff were all great. Smiles all around and very attentive to the customers. Grace behind the bar was terrific at her job!!

ordered takeout. the chicken alfredo was wayyy too watery and not even good at all. the bread was not good, it was literally just a loaf of bread- not toasted whatsoever. i got pesto pasta, it was alright- noodles overcooked.

Small hometown joint with A+ quality and flavor to match. It's not hard to make a good blt but, when it's really good. It's hard to beat, and they do it great here! Double bacon cheese burger was also far greater than the price point. The man in charge makes sure everything is on schedule and up to snuff coming out and asking patrons personally.

Quaint burger joint, family owned. The line is always out the door and the food is the freshest around.

Zack's is the most friendliest place to eat. The guy that runs it doesn't care if you are a wealthy person or not, he walks around & speaks to all his customers. I really appreciate the gospel music that he plays. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend Zack's to others

This was a last minute Google search that turned out to be a blessing. The food was prepared nicely, the service was a 10! Michelle waited on us and was very engaging, we later found out she was the owner. The coffee was strong and the atmosphere was very friendly. Today is our anniversary and we had business in Four Oaks when we searched for Breakfast spots near us, when Michelle found out it was our anniversary, she presented us with an anniversary treat. This will be one of our breakfast go to places because you don't need white table clothes all the time to feel SPECIAL.

My wife and I had breakfast here today. The food was delicious. Everything was seasoned perfectly. I typically have too add salt to my hash browns and didn't have to here. We will definitely be back soon.

We had a late afternoon lunch at this establishment yesterday Black Friday. The wait was about 30 minutes. We were seated , our server was nice , although she never introduced herself. They do not offer a lunch menu. i ordered the 6 Oz sirloin ( which I thought would likely be equivalent to the Outback lunch sirloin both in price & size ) a baked potato & salad. Our server brought out rolls which were good . The salad was adequate , seemed fresh. It seemed to take forever but my main course finally arrived . I was speechless in the presentation. That piece of meat was so thin it looked like one of those little frozen steaks you purchase from the dollar store. This meat had no flavor or seasoning. It was smaller than the small baked potato. I could not eat it , 2 small bites was all I was able. Thank goodness for that baked potato which was good . In the meantime our server never came back to check on us except once to fill our tea but she never asked not one time how our food was & when she brought us the check she never asked how things were or even offered for a take out box for the steak still remaining on my plate. We should have known there was a problem because every other restaurant along that strip of the shopping center was jam packed full except Texas. They can & should do much better. I guess they probably figure most patrons are traveling and they aren’t concerned about building repeat customers.

Came here on a Thursday evening , atmosphere was amazing. All the servers were so welcoming and sweet. Our server Carson, was amazing. Service was quick, he was very nice , attentive and just was on top of everything the entire time. The moment we did need something, Carson was already on the way with it in his hand. He also gave a great dinner suggestion. My husband ordered the bowl of brazo, it was delicious. Premium sides of cheese fries and chili were great portion sizes and so good. I ordered a ribeye steak with mash potatoes and Mac n cheese ! Steak was cooked perfectly , mash potatoes were a great texture and yummy. Mac n cheese was nice and creamy , a little on the plain side taste wise but none the less still good ! Rolls were absolutely amazing and my favorite part of any steak house. These did not disappoint. We ordered an appetizer trio , did not get a photo because we devoured it the moment it got to the table lol. Portion of the appetizer was great, I loved the onion petals so much easier to eat than regular onion ring or blooming onion. Cheese fries had perfect amount of cheese & bacon , and Buffalo chicken was also great, the sauce was a nice mild flavor. We enjoyed our meal so much and will definitely be back !

I have VERY mixed feelings about this place. First off, I want to say that the establishment is very clean. As you walked in everything is tidy and we were promptly greeted by the hostess. We were told it was going to be about a 15 to 25 minute wait and which my family and I agree that we would wait. We were seated at about 15 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly, she took our drink order and took our appetizer order. We received everything pretty quickly. My youngest ordered a cheeseburger off of the kids meal. My oldest son ordered the chicken Philly sandwich and fries. My middle son ordered the ribs. My husband had a steak sandwich. And I ordered for myself a club sandwich. I can't remember the exact name. My husband and I ordered a house salad with ranch dressing. Everything came out hot and in a timely matter. By presentation everything looked very appetizing except my husband's order. I will post pictures. The steak sandwich was very mediocre and lacked sauce. In fact that was the biggest disappointment. The lack of sauce / condiments. The ranch dressing was very good but was very thin. My sandwich had one line of mayo and my husband's sandwich lacked sauce, both were extremely dry. The food was inconsistent in my opinion. The rolls were great, the fries, ribs, Philly chicken sandwich were awesome. The Mac and cheese, literally elbow macaroni and shredded cheese on top. Mine and my husband's not impressive. All together with tip $124.00 and some change.

Finally! A place to get some wonderfully flavorful food closer to Goldsboro! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to find this gem empty and for the life of me. I don’t know why. The food was very good. There are three vegan options on the menu. We tried the Begain Bartha and Dal Tadka with a vegetable samosa and plain naan. The food has a great spice level. Hot and good. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Worth the price! It was so delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. I should've asked for his name, but our server was so kind and sweet. I will be coming again and with more people. This place deserves more customers! I recommend the butter chicken and biryani with mango lassi.

We loved this Indian place! The food was so good. We got butter chicken, tikka masala, samosa, and garlic naan. I will slightly agree with the other comments, for Smithfield, NC and the amount of chicken we got, $20 per entree seemed a little high, would have liked to see more like $15-$17. But quality was still good nonetheless. Would go here again!

We ordered 2 Reuben’s, nacho appetizer, and shrimp and grits. The nacho appetizer had a nice presentation, but skimpy on pork. Reuben’s were average. I adore Reuben’s and look forward to being served a sandwich stacked with a thick layer corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. These had minimal meat and kraut. I adore shrimp and grits. My order came and the presentation was amazing. No reason to take a picture before diving in, because looks wise, I was certain this would be a winner. My grits were undercooked. Needed approximately two more minutes cooking. I would understand if they were busy and my grits got undercooked due to a rush, but I noted two of their parties during our dining. I believe they were cooked with water. Finishing them with cream would have helped to richen, but more importantly give the creamy texture that is so needed. The shrimp was bettered and had a frozen taste. This dish traditionally does not have a battered/fried shrimp and in my opinion, that was an inexpensive and easier option to offer this dish prepared this way. The waitress took the $15 charge off my bill after I gave input that they were undercooked and needed cream in the preparation. This was an appreciated gesture. But, I asked her to add it back on, as my desire was for them to take the input and apply it, not comp. me my entree. for

We have been here multiple times and the food and service is always great. We tend to go at lunchtime but have been in later during the day and it has always been wonderful. Would highly recommend.

We came to Smithfield for a funeral, and found this wonderful restaurant! I had the mahi-mahi with fresh green beans and fresh broccoli. Both delicious vegetables and the fish was very fresh and yummy! As you see from the empty plate, we enjoyed the food. My husband had the Cuban. We definitely would go back. Staff were really nice and friendly. The music was too loud so that made the atmosphere less appealing. Otherwise a great place!

my waitress was super awesome and friendly! The food has very large portions so be careful. The street corn was amazing. The fajitas were even better. I also enjoyed fried ice cream, but I couldn’t finish it because I had so much food. I will definitely be back. This is a great authentic Mexican restaurant.

The food was delicious! I got a bean burrito and rice and it all came out hot and fresh. The service was wonderful. One of the workers (I presume the manager) came up to us three times to check that we were asked our drinks and food and that everything was good. Our server’s name was Guadalupe and she called me ma’am, which other servers I have had at other restaurants did not do. She was very polite and quick. The atmosphere was friendly and not too loud, except for a few kids running around. Hope your visit is/was as good as mine!

The food here is AWESOME!! opt for the corn tortillas with your fajitas and you're all set! The chips and salsa are great as well. The service was on par with most restaurants of this stature. The atmosphere is pleasant, but the sound level from the above speakers was too loud. So all in all.......A great experience. We will definitely be returning here soon.

First time at this location, I will surely return. I splurged on the platter, lemon cake and clam chowder. I did not know until I pulled off, there was a small service fee added, like $1.95. I almost gave five stars but the breading didn’t stick to scallops, the jumbo shrimp didn’t appear to be deveined, the whitefish was tasteless and no utensils were packed in my bag. Hey it would be nice to add lemon with the condiments too. I’m not sure if the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce are homemade but they had good flavor.

My family and I went to the Mayflower Restaurant for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised. The parking is easy in a very large lot next to a mall area. There were no lines or waiting although there was a steady stream of customers. The menu features mostly seafood choices, but there are also chicken, burger and pasta options. The service was great and very attentive to our needs and request. It was some of the best seafood that I have ever tasted. The portions are large but the price is reasonable. We will be going back again.

Had an opportunity to dine here on July 8, 2024 with my Husband. It was around 5:27pm and the establishment was not busy. He had actually raved about it as our kids had taken him here for Father's Day. Initially, our female server appeared annoyed for having to work. I asked for suggestions since it was my first visit here. She recommended the buffet. The Potatoes on the Bar were cold so I let her know. She told me the temperature was as high as it could go and to stir the potatoes around. I asked if more white meat Fried Chicken would be added to the bar and she told me no, not until the dark meat is eaten. Mind you, the temperature with the dark meat was working just fine as it dried the meat out. I do plan to give it another try since so many family members have raved about the usual great hospitality. The atmosphere is nice with the outdoor scenery of the Johnson County Executive Airport Training Flights taking off and landing.
