Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Mt Holly – 2024

Everything here is made from scratch. Even the Ranch Dressing. Everything tasted wonderful. It was a little busier than I would like (parade of lanterns event), which led to a little bit more stress (I could see the staff struggling, but communicating well). Even then, the found came out much faster than I expected, and the staff made our visit and experience worth many more visits. I had the Baked Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meat balls. Ooooh my!

DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! First time visit! I always take a look at the reviews before deciding to visit for myself. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic bread, the spaghetti barely had any meat sauce leaving it extremely dry and the garlic bread was hard and burnt! I called the restaurant to let them know of my meal and was told that I had to drive ALL the way back from Charlotte to return my food in order for them to replace it!!! Who does that anymore with COVID and all other types of food contamination that can take place?? I was outraged that this was how they handle a unsatisfied customer. I offered to show them the photos of the food when I arrive the next day but they declined.. they are not friendly or professional!!

I've driven by this place more times than I care to count, before finally being convinced to give it a try, and WOW, we had such an awesome experience! The food was absolutely exceptional. Our waitress, McKenzie (there's two -- not the "young" one), was very attentive, courteous, and quick. I'm excited to try their pizza. Here's what we got: Onion rings Bruschetta (the marinara -- so good) Chicken Parmesan Club sandwich w/fries Spaghetti with meat sauce, one little thing about the meat sauce, it was good, but if I were to go for spaghetti again, I'd go with the meatless marinara. I will definitely be back and I would enthusiastically recommend any one of those dishes. I always forget to get pictures until everything is already eaten through.

We sat at the bar and ordered their Lilli Pils Pilsner and we split the loaded tots. Courtney our bartender was friendly and helpful. Food service was fast. Beer was perfect as we just kayaked the nearby Dutchman’s Creek. We could not finish the tots and got a to go box. We were driving our van and appreciated the large free parking lot behind the brewery. If passing through this is a great brewery to visit.

So we came here on a Saturday at 1pm. Nice to have live music! Beer is decent... but service is lacking. We ordered nachos and waited for quite a bit. Server finally came and asked us if we had received our food and then went to check on it. He brought it out but it had already cooled down. The chips had become somewhat soggy and the melted cheese was room temperature. I typically do not send food back due to the fact that I don't want to make the kitchen help mad and in return something else happens to my food. I will have to think twice about visiting again..

It was our second time having food from here. First experience was good, but not today. We ordered to go lunch . The fries were over cooked and salty. The salad was like pico de gallo very poor presentation, we like the place hopefully this review help you to improve.

Best lemon peppers in Charlotte talk about lemon pepper stepppppers juicy. I asked him to make it extra crispy for me cause that’s my preference. He did a very well. My burger tasted very good. I will come anytime until I get a car, but you ppl should come there and try his lemon peppers or his honey barbecue or all his sauces I recommend this store. I even called them and told them that his food was amazing. The man is very nice very cool

The best kept secret!! Never disappointed in the pad Thai and hot chicken wings. Cheeseburgers are amazing and can add a fried egg on top! Fries are amazing. Chicken on a stick is huge, shrimp fried rice is seasoned well, and the chicken pho is always fresh and hot! Love love love them!

I gave 5 stars to atmosphere as well, because, although it's a few tables off to the side connected to a convenience store, it was still welcoming and comfortable. It's exactly the type of setting you want/expect for this type of food. Some of the best pho I've ever had and definitely the best in a while. I will certainly be going back. The pad thai was great as well. My gf said it was the best she ever had. It's honest food at honest prices made with love by hardworking people. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Appetizer: calamari, 9.99, lightly breaded. Chewy, sauce was good. Small portion. Entree: Pad thai. Sauce was terrible. Couldn't taste the peanut sauce. Beef was cooked to jerky. The server was uninterested in our time. She needs better training. Sushi: 3 orders, only 1 was good of the three. Didn't want a fried one, and somehow, it was fried. I'm not impressed with this place.

10/10 the best fried rice in Charlotte. We ordered 3 days in a row…! Absolutely delicious. All of the sushi rolls were fresh and prepared beautifully. Reasonable pricing and quick delivery. We will be ordering from here as much as possible!!

Nice little location in downtown Mt. Holly. Service was great waiter checked on us and was pretty knowledgeable about the menu not sure if we beat the rush or it was a slow day. Food came out in great matter of time, correct and tasted great. Only downside of it I wish they would have added rice or a side with it's dinner plate instead you have to order that as a extra side dish. Other than it was a great 1st time experience at this place.

From this outside this looks like a “hole in the wall” kind of place but the inside is clean, well kept and the service was top notch. We had the French toast which my daughter deemed the best she’s ever had. The biscuits were light and flaky. The meats were super fresh and juicy too. Highly Recommend!!

Awesome breakfast!! I had the All American breakfast, pancakes (I made mine blueberry), 2 eggs, bacon, country potatoes and i added a small side of cheese grits . The coffee was amazing as well. I will definitely come back here.

Great food and customer service. I will be back. *Update - I’ve added a few extra pictures to my review and I can’t even count how many times I’ve been back. This place is awesome! It’s my #1 go-to spot for breakfast. The prices and customer service makes the experience even better.

This place is almost perfect. Two sides to the restaurant (choose your atmosphere). The food is fantastic. The service was great. Chairs are comfortable. And, for the first time, I have found a beer I like. I can't wait to return and update this review!

This place is Super clean like even during rushes it's still super clean. They have $4 mimosas for weekend brunch. Friendly patrons, bartender's are ok. They forgot the bacon but brought it right away last time I was there for brunch. Food was Luke warm at best and really greasy. Steak omelette was ok should've gotten the western omelette. The biscuits and gravy came with 2 big split Biscuits they were ok soft and fluffy. Gravy was very basic even for me. It was very lackluster and needed a lot of seasoning and flavor. The breakfast potatoes were really good but not nearly enough. Buffalo Chicken sandwich was good comes w pickle on side.

PROBABLY THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED and that really says something. My guest aptly our server wad a “dingbat”. Said she would wipe the table that was soaked, never did we pretty much placed our order with the other server and even went in at times to place the order with our server for drinks and. She completely messed up the order and she was so that wasn’t even point trying to correct it. We picked this place because there is another location in Noda, but they should rethink how they run this one and how they hire. Obviously hiring good staff is a challenge today so they can invest everything they can and robots, artificial intelligence, and whatever else to take away some of the people at at least one of the people that’s working there. GO TO THE NODA LOCATION.

This was the first time visiting. It was really good. The service was great! Our waitress Leila was so sweet and friendly. She answered all our questions, checked on us regularly, always made sure our drinks were full. The portions were very nice sized. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

OMG OK first: The Honey Buttered Croissants Are to "Live" For‼️I've eliminate from my diet for a few years and was knocked off my feet with the taste and smell and freshness of this croissant. Second: We ordered the House that was BIG enough to split between 2 people with a ordered of tenders (Best I've had in a while) The Salad was very Fresh and Crisp and the Chicken Tenders where moist, melt-in-your-mouth, crispy, golden-brown, and flavorful. I don't know if the Ceasars salad dressing was homemade but it's got a smooth texture, fresh ingredients, and a consistency that evenly coats the salad, allowing the flavors of the greens and other toppings to shine through. (Whoa!) Thirdly and lastly The Ambiance .. intimate, cozy, lively, vibrant, rustic, modern, elegant, casual, airy, industrial, romantic, family-friendly, sophisticated, energetic, relaxed, minimalist, bustling, serene. In Conclusion, “What a lovely Hidden Gem Restaurant, good food, service and atmosphere. Definitely hope to go back.”

The food was decent. My only issue is that we sat there for about 30 minutes before we were acknowledged. Customer service was lacking in the beginning, but did improve. The restaurant wasn't too busy, but you always feel appreciated to have someone say someone will be with you in a moment.

We were charged for a small hot/spicy sauce for the free chip ‍♂️. Food portion is good for the price but foods were typical of many Mexican restaurants. Always like to support local businesses.

Stingy portions . I eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and never seen the cheapness as this place. I called back when I got my take out order home and they didn’t seem to even feel there were any concerns. Here’s their Carnitas plate. It’s all onions, no carnitas to speak of.

This restaurant definitely has a special place in my heart. Food is always awesome. Prices are super fair. Drinks are great super comedian location and the service is there and the people who work there or of the highest quality:.

I got the chicken wing dinner with fries and MAC. Very fulfilling. I ate like half of it before I had to tap out. Their ranch is very creamy and pairs well with chicken and fries. I got the sweet thai chili sauce on the side. It was good, tangy but sweet as expected. The roll was dull in comparison, a hawaiian roll would have set it off! Chicken was crispy, juicy and hot. Fries were crispy and fried and seasoned perfectly. The MAC was your typical mac and cheese. Good and creamy. Would absolutely come here again on my next visit to Charlotte!

Great place to eat some really good chicken. I recommend the wing box with onion rings and fried okra. Enough food for two people for around 8 bucks. Workers here are always friendly and helpful. They also have really good ranch dressing. Parking is easy and they keep the place clean. Chicken strips are also excellent. Good French fries and hamburgers. Very large menu with just about anything you want.

Long time loyal customer. But not after tonight . The salads was the best in town in my opinion nice deep container full but I order food today and get a small salad same price as the normal salad get home call them and the Lady hangs up on me !! I call back and the man argues that the container is small but the quantity is the same absolutely it is not still no offer to solve problem only hangs .. I will take my buisness back to brightstar… zero they get a zero

Food was good. However, I ordered a salad with a small side of dumplings in which I was charged for a large. I didn't know until I got my receipt but by then it was too late. There was an additional charge on there too, but I can't remember right now what it was. I intended on spending $15 and ended up spending $20. Nonetheless, the food was all right. But I like to get what I asked for and not what you want me to have.

I have given this place a chance time after time. It started with Food being left out my order in the drive thru, so I started going inside to do my order. I went here this Tuesday and ordered the 4piece chicken meal. I paid the extra $1.00 for all white meat. I got to my car and something told me to check my plate. I had only 2 pieces of white meat and 2 dark. So go back inside. I tried to explain, along with my receipt in my hand, that I paid extra for “All white meat”. I’m not sure if he was the owner but he came out and showed me another receipt and said this is what I had. I said No I had this and then let him know the receipt he had wasn’t even my name. So I showed him my receipt to prove I paid for all white meat. He said I had to pay an additional $1 to get the other 2 pieces white meat. I told him I was not aware I had to pay an additional $1 to receive all 4 pieces of white meat but that it was cool, I just wanted to even things out. He personally goes and exchanges out the meat by takin the dark meat out and giving me the other 2 pieces. I say thank you and leave. I get home, open my box and see that both chicken breasts almost look dry rotted. If I saw my meat looking like this, I would never even put it on their plate or box. I have been in the management business for over 20 years, so that’s why I didn’t argue with anyone, I just wanted my order correct. Never argue with your good customers! Needless to say, my experience was terrible and I won’t be returning.

Love the 50s style atmosphere! The burgers are delicious and the Cherry- lemon Sundrops are amazing! Takes you back to the good ole days! ❤️

Tucked away hidden gym with a classic feel. The food options are plentiful and southern style. The burgers and hot dogs come fully loaded and are great!

Have they changed cooks or management recently? We get dinner there almost every week and the past few weeks the food has been undercooked and just not as good. Tried again tonight just to see if they were having an off day recently but nope. Would hate to never come back, hopefully you’ll get your food back to being fresh, hot and tasty again.

Great little spot in the heart of Mount Holly. I rate the burgers here Top 5 in the entire state. Great friendly staff, greats you with a smile at the door, very clean and modern decor. The wait time was not bad at all for freshly made burgers and sides. Definitely worth a drive if you’re a burger enthusiast, or just a foodie that enjoys great food. I will be definitely coming back.

Best burgers I can remember having. Exactly as a smashburger should be, nice crispy edges. Tasty sides. Friendly wait staff. They're gonna be slammed as they're a brand new restaurant (as of Sept 2024) and the best burgers in the area, people are excited to see what the hype is about, so expect a long wait, but it's very much worth it.

This place has it all. Excellent from beginning to the end! Atmosphere was super cool. Cool dark vibes, with lots of energy, and the best burger! Fresh off the grill, I had to let it cool for a minute. The side portions are huge but I’m glad because the onion rings were the best I’ve had. Everyone was so attentive to the customers, you can tell these people care. Well done!
