Literally my favorite place in Victoria!! Highly recommend coming here- they have amazing dishes and I’m always blown away every time we come. Beef Carpaccio is probably the best I’ve had and I eat quite a bit because I’m obsessed! Espresso martini was delightful and their servers are very knowledgeable with their wine. If you’re in Victoria, definitely stop by and try a few of their tapas!!!

I remember the food being really good when I visited almost 6-7 years ago. However, today’s visit for cocktails was disappointing. The cocktail, I've been here before, was dry but still drinkable, but the Side Hustle and the Last Unicorn didn’t appeal to any of us. I’ll try the food and wine again next time, but not the cocktails.

Went with my parents for early dinner. Ambience was amazing, and the patio was nicely heated. Our server was amazing, gave great recommendations, and was honest about portion sizes, which made our experience absolutely perfect. The food was incredible!! Will come back the next time I’m in Victoria. I really recommend the Bodega Board.

I cannot share enough, how amazing it was at this restaurant. The food, the service the atmosphere of the place everything was absolutely amazing. We brought my mom here for a day out from her hospice care and she was treated so wonderfully and compassionately. I would not hesitate to come here again and again and again. the food cannot be described. It has to be experienced. I would recommend reservations.

Finally got to check out Glow after having it on my list forever, and wow, what a night! From the second we walked in to when we left, it was a solid experience. The calamari? Unreal. So fresh, and the deep-fried jalapeños were a total game-changer. We cleaned up the chicken pasta in minutes—so smoky and delicious. The chicken popcorn with that saucy rice combo? Super filling and a nice surprise. We did hit a little snag with the pepperoni flatbread, but the staff handled it like champs and replaced it right away—big points for that! Only thing? The music. Great tunes, but the sound system didn’t quite hit the vibe. A little upgrade there could truly complete the amazing atmosphere this place already has.

Went for the first time about a month ago with my friend and we had the best time. We caught the tail end of happy hour which was awesome, lots of tasty drinks and food at great prices. Our server Lydia was absolutely fantastic. Her recommendations on the drinks and food were perfect, we loved every drink and dish we ordered. Some of my favourites dishes were the popcorn chicken (perfect sweet and savory with some spice), the pear salad was great as well (good toppings and perfectly dressed), and the turkey club was outstanding. Fav drinks were the black raspberry sour, and the espresso martinis. My friend's fav was the tropical margarita. We spend about 2 hours there, tried about half the cocktail menu, and got a bunch of food and we really did love everything. Can't wait to go back.

I recently visited Red Robin with my family, and overall, we had a great time! My kids especially loved the experience—they were thrilled with the kids’ menu, which was not only fun to look at but also interactive with options for drawing and painting. We had cheese burgers and chicken burgers, and the fries were almost delicious. The only downside was the taste of the Coke, which wasn’t quite to my liking. Even though it was the middle of the week and not a holiday, the place was packed with people, showing how popular and well-located it is. Definitely a great spot for family dining!

Okay Red Robin...avocado bacon burger with onion rings...rings all 7 were dry...I explained my tomato allergy so they served a sauce with tomato...yikes mayonnaise would be better. This is family dining. Raspberry lemonade was nice but please offer a spoon with your floats. Service could have been better 15 minutes waiting to order a drink...more time waiting for drinks wait again to place order...not busy so what was going on? Family groups were having social niceties with servers and for us not so much. It could be much much better. So make sure to have lots of time and endure the usual catering to kiddies. The burgers are okay drippy from meat paddy...Good French fries and appreciated the care regarding tomatos but heads up to not serve tomato based sauce with rings. A great place for families and teens.

We came here for dinner one night while visiting and I loved the menu from top to bottom. It's definitely what I'd want to see for a place right by the water. For starters, the complimentary bread was excellent, thick, and plentiful. We ended up making a meal out of several other starters, though there were plenty of great entrees to choose from. The duck wings were crispy, yet super juicy. The Dungeness crab cakes and chowder had super fresh flavors. Everything was excellent, thoughtful, and showed off some good textures and flavors. The place has a nice vibe, suitable for a casual night or a date night. Service was very good. We had a reservation but probably could have gotten a table for 3 without it on a rainy Friday night. I'd highly recommend this place!

The food was decent overall. While the crab cake had a slightly fishy taste and the portion size was small for the price—mostly shrimp rather than crab—the duck confit was excellent. Unfortunately, the service didn't live up to expectations, as I overheard some staff arguing.

This was a good find. We missed the live music on Monday but the staff directed us to other live music venues for after our great dinner. Delicious oysters, though quite smaller than those I am used to. The lobster and shrimp cake was packed full of flavors and complimented by a lovely fresh green salad. They poured great drinks, too. Highly recommend.

The rumors are true—this place is a must-try in Victoria! You really get what you pay for. The service was good, the ambiance is beautiful, and the portion sizes of food were just right for sharing. We ordered everything to share, and the appetizer was incredible. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of their carbonara due to a smoky, burnt aftertaste, the rest of the meal was fantastic. Overall, a great dining experience and worth the visit!

This is for sure of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in Canada. The service was top notch and everything we ordered was amazing. I was surprised by the heavier price tag on the Spaghetti Carbonara at first but I do not regret ordering this dish in the slightest, the pasta was perfect. The pizza was no disappointment either, the cheese tasted extremely high quality and left me craving for more. Will come back here in a heartbeat.

This hidden gem is tucked away in a back alley. If you can, make a reservation. The food is exquisite, the atmosphere is quaint, and the servers are efficient and friendly. The owner is always around, which adds to the charm. We went twice just to confirm our first impressions. PS Fabulous wine list and desserts if you have space.

I read that the reviews for Finn’s were good so we decided to treat ourselves to a great dinner - I had no idea it would be as good as it was. The service was top notch, ambience in our section was calm and we could talk, the drinks were fantastic but it was the food that blew us away. Everything was perfect. Not the cheapest but some of the best food and service we’ve had in a long time. If you want a great meal and wonderful service, Finn’s in the place.

ABSOLUTELY UNREAL. I’m not a huge fan of fish in general but this salmon burger was to die for!!!! The heirloom tomatoes, sprouts, and tzatziki added such a nice flavour to the amazing, obviously fresh, fish. We also started with a nice, light and fresh salad. The poke bowl and fish & chips were generous, and the seafood pasta was decadent.

The restaurant is beautiful, though we were seated near the window area. While the view was pleasant, it didn't quite match the ambiance inside the restaurant. I assume this was due to having two little ones with us, and most of the seating inside consisted of high chairs, which is understandable. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks, especially the steelhead and Spanish coffee. Food arrived fairly quickly despite the restaurant being busy. Our waitress, Christine, was very pleasant and helpful with our menu choices. Update: My husband was eager to return for the Spanish coffee, and we ended up meeting the managers—wonderful gentlemen!

It is my second time at this Restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, and the team here is always nice and kind. The food was ok, we order steak, and pasta Alfredo. The steak was ok, a little bit overcoked, and the pasta was regular. We loved their fries!... as update I went again andtried the crispy chicken sandwich and it was delicious!

The vibe of this place is great, all the furniture and decor looks tasteful. Me and my girlfriend came here at 9:30PM on Monday evening and it was very quiet (maybe around 3 other tables when we walked in). The waiter was very patient and was very nice, didn’t mind us taking more time on the menu and asking question after question. The food was mediocre, the sticky Thai chicken on the happy hour menu was great, the crispy cauliflower is a must get everytime for us, and the Szechuan beef bowl was disappointing with watered down sauce and not a lot of taste. The Bellini is ohhhh so good, the sweet peachy flavour can make me drink buckets of this stuff and not feel the alcohol. Overall, great vibes, decent prices, but maybe avoid the Szechuan Beef Bowl.

The food was decent however, we had three server changes during our time there which made the service absolutely terrible. We had to remind our server for water, we had to remind them for straw. Additionally, the server forgot to ask us for desert. AND she forgot to bring us our cheque where we waited for 20 Min. until she remembered to bring us our cheque. Restaurant is short staffed. Would not recommend if you’re looking for good service.

visiting family and friends here in Alberta, we went out for a couple drinks and some food. Started off as a regular dining experience until we met our server, Sidney. Her friendliness and approachability instantly cheered us up!! Sidney was very helpful in helping me decide what meal I wanted and I felt so welcomed in the restaurant. Sidney is educated about the menu, and was a great help to me and my friends. If you stop by, you'll be delighted if Sidney is your server!!! will be coming back.

I recently visited the Boston Pizza on Blanshard Street, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with plenty of seating and a modern design. I liked the open kitchen concept, where you can see the chefs at work. The booths are comfortable, and the large TV screens make it a great spot to catch a game or enjoy some entertainment while dining. The staff were friendly and efficient. They were quick to take our order, and the food arrived in good time. The menu has a wide variety of options, from pizza (of course) to pastas and salads, so there’s something for everyone. The only downside is that it wasn’t particularly busy when I went, but the service could have been a bit more attentive at times. However, the quality of the food and the inviting atmosphere make this a solid choice for a casual meal with friends or family.

The best part of the entire night was my server Carson. Super friendly, always checked in and was a pure pro! The food was great as always! Carson’s attention to detail and service went above and beyond! If you can sit in his area and have the experience, I suggest you do so! Thank you Nicole

We went as a family yesterday dinner time . Food is amazing and portions are great. Prices are reasonable to the excellent tasty food. They have nice kids menu to choose for kids. I liked place vibes and you may wait for few minutes to get seated. Staff are so quick in their service and memorizing orders , although I thought they will not remember it but they were perfect. I noticed Only they were in rush requesting the payment after we finished our food due to waiting customers but it’s better if they give more time. I liked the coordination between staff members. Their bbq blaze burger was amazing, try it.

Service and food was very solid for a diner! Love that it’s super close to the main downtown area of Victoria and A/C is just cool enough to beat the heat. Chicken and waffles was perfectly balanced in sweet and salty. Chicken tenders were tender and waffle was fluffy. Bacon was perfect, too. Fish and chips were pretty standard, but the breading was a little heavy for my taste. Overall enjoyable though! Check this place out for a variety of food that is done just right :)

Stopped in to get out of the rain and grab some lunch while in port with NCL. We had mozzarella sticks and the Hawaiian pizza. We were seated quickly. Served quickly. Food was good. Love the eclectic vibe of the place. It was also very clean (even the restrooms). Really liked this spot!!

Amazing food with great prices. The staff even sang happy birthday to my twins when they brought out their meals. Authentic retro style vibe with amazingly tasty modern eats. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options available. Would highly recommend this place! It is super popular- you may have a small wait, but it is WORTH IT! Be sure to check them out!

I recently enjoyed brunch at Ruby and found it to be a pleasant experience overall. The dishes we ordered were quite good, though there were a few notable points. The salmon Benedict on a croissant was a bit too rich for my taste; I’d suggest opting for a bagel instead if you’re considering this dish. The berry waffle was delightful, but the lemon cream cheese topping proved too sweet for my palate. The combination of berry syrup, lemon cream, and whipped cream created an overwhelming sweetness. Despite these minor issues, Ruby is definitely a solid choice for a brunch or breakfast outing.

Ruby on Douglas - Victoria I recently had brunch at Ruby on Douglas in Victoria and overall, it was a fairly enjoyable experience. The wait time was reasonable, which was a relief given how busy it can get during brunch hours. The restaurant has a vibrant and welcoming vibe that immediately sets a positive tone for the meal. We ordered the eggs benny and chicken waffles, both of which were delicious. The eggs benny was perfectly cooked with a creamy hollandaise sauce that had just the right amount of tang. The chicken waffles were a delightful combination of crispy and savory, paired perfectly with the syrup. The portions were generous, and the presentation was appealing, making the food even more enjoyable. However, the cappuccino was a significant letdown. It was far too bitter for my taste and lacked the smooth, rich flavor I expect from a good cappuccino. Additionally, it was disappointing to see that there was no latte art, which is something I always look forward to as it adds a nice touch to the coffee experience. To top it off, the server accidentally spilled some of the cappuccino while serving it, which was a bit off-putting. Despite the disappointing cappuccino, the overall atmosphere of Ruby on Douglas made up for it. The decor is stylish, and the ambiance is lively without being too noisy. The staff was friendly and attentive, which added to the positive experience. I would give Ruby on Douglas a solid 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it for the food and the ambiance, but perhaps not for the coffee.

Easily the highlight of our visit warm ambiance and exquisite cuisine and efficient service. We started with the baguette it’s made in house with a crust to die for. the appetizer we had rabbit terrine and it was exquisite. I had the hearty meatballs in polenta which can easily feed two people, my partner had the rockfish special and accompanied with the wine pairing. For the dessert we had the bread pudding it was heavenly.

It's hard to write a review of my experience at Cafe Brio without it sounding like they paid me to write it. It honestly was just that good. The food, the option to order half plates, the service and the way they have managed to make such a big space feel so intimate and cosy all add up to make an outstanding dining experience, and at a price that I found incredibly reasonable. Many thanks to everyone who made our night special. We will definitely be returning here next time we visit the Island.

Really enjoyed my time here, never heard of it till I was walking along the street one day and read the menu, but would definitely go back, both the duck and rock fish were really great, and pairs good with the sunchoke. Also decided to try the corn dogs which was surprisingly good, like a fancy corn dog

A fine little Italian eatery. It seemed very popular so I'd advise reservations if you have the option. We all had pasta and thought it was good, though what really shines is their bread sticks. Those were really good. Service was excellent.

Classic Italian restaurant in Victoria. Food was exactly what you expect from an Italian place: simple and fresh. This place is known for the lasagna and didn’t disappoint. The seating is tight but it adds to the whole atmosphere of the place. Service unfortunately wasn’t great. Took a while to get a coffee when we first sat, and after that it felt like we were always on a constant struggle to get something (water, beer, etc). Maybe my server was having a bad day. I”ll go back next time Im in Victoria and will update this review accordingly.

Quite an extensive vegan menu for an Italian restaurant. I was so pleasantly surprised. I got a side salad and the doors of vegan perception and it was delicious!! Very rich sauce. Half portion is plenty there can be a line but it moved pretty fast.

We chose to dine at Aura to celebrate our graduation, and the whole experience was amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, making it a perfect spot for a special occasion. Kain, our server, was outstanding. He went above and beyond to recommend dishes and drinks that suited our taste. We had a lovely chat with him, and he was both caring and attentive throughout the meal. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made sure we were enjoying ourselves the whole time. For our meal, we started with fresh oysters and tuna tataki. The oysters were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The tuna tataki, however, was a bit on the salty side. We think it could have used less soy sauce or maybe a touch of sugar to balance out the saltiness. Despite this small issue, the flavors were still quite good. Next, we had the pork belly and scallops for our main dishes. Both were cooked perfectly! The pork belly was tender and melted in our mouths, while the scallops were seared just right with a delicious, buttery flavor. Along with the food, we enjoyed a few glasses of wine that paired well with our meal, thanks to Kain’s excellent suggestions. To end the evening, we ordered the chocolate decadence for dessert. It was rich and satisfying, the perfect way to finish our meal. Overall, aside from the slightly salty tuna tataki, everything else was simply delicious. Aura made our celebration truly memorable. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a special dining experience. We will definitely be back!

4.5-5 overall. Enjoyed the unique twist to food. A great place for breakfast. Ample amount of seating for different sizes groups. Nothing was greasy. Well balanced flavoured in food items. Not a large menu but has a good variety for all folks. I would recommend the Asian twist on the Benny.

Pretty nice and decent food for the most part, although I would avoid ordering the oysters as they were so small that I couldn't believe they charged $4.5 each! The other options we tried were spectacular though. Pretty ok views.. Overall a good experience but I think may explore other restaurants in the same price range that may offer better views of the inner harbor and more varied options for entrees.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Overall just a great place to get breakfast and food. And the prices are reasonable here. At least $10 lower than everywhere else. Will be back for more. Thank you!

I order through a food app from this place and their fish and chips (repeatedly) has been fantastic every time - this time I tried the chicken strips which were huge beyond what I would have expected but they were delicious. Service & atmosphere scores are N/A as I order through a food app. Awesome food and I’m planning to make a trip inside the bistro next. Wish you would have caught my request.

Ordered on a food delivery app. The buns on both of the burgers were moldy. This is very worrying and shouldn't be allowed to happen. I only noticed after I placed my burger upside down after eating nearly half of it.

I’m truly surprised that this place has such good reviews, as this was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. The beef tartar was under-seasoned, and it seems like all the seasoning that should have gone there was piled onto my tenderloin, which was so salty that I was shocked. Truly a disappointing way to spend a birthday celebration. The only thing nice about this restaurant was the service. The staff were very nice and quick.

Fine dining that lives up to its moniker. The lobster lasagna, which is not pasta based at all, was fabulous. The drinks menu has a full page of exotic non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails. Everything was delicious, and The Palms is highly rated for a reason. Friendly service.

My partner and I visited the lounge during happy hour for drinks - it wasn't busy at all, so we were seated quickly and the service was fantastic. I had The Answer (a really, really good cocktail - incredibly flavorful and balanced) and an Empress 75 (honestly, not stellar). My partner had Nothing to Hide & The Palms Mai Tai, which he really enjoyed. We shared a Piña Colada to end the adventure, and it was really interesting (in a good way!). If you enjoy fun, yummy cocktails, you should give this place a go.

Been here the first time. Free parking. Simple but clean and pleasant place. Fast and friendly service. Got the dinner special. Friend beef rice (good) with one spring roll (it had a certain taste I didn't like), broccoli beef (good) and sweet and sour pork (good). Good portion and good taste. Free pot of tea. I would come back.

Beef chow fun for the win! Today for takeout, I am glad they asked what type of chow fun I like (I had no idea there were two versions. Turns out I like the dry chow fun version). The owners are great and my family likes to come here because the food is delish quality and they don’t use MSG.

Lived near here for years and my only regret is I wished I tried halibut house sooner! Got take out with my bf and never in my life have I had such wonderfully crunchy sweet sour pork! Even after the drive home and plating our food was crispy. 5/5, I’ve already come back since and will return as often as possible as long as I’m in this city. Best Chinese food in town.

Noodle box used to be one of my fave go to places. This uptown location disappoints. Food looks good but, lacks the nuanced flavours I like from Noodlebox. Staff are businesslike and not very friendly which leaves the atmosphere feeling more rushed than relaxed. If I do noodlebox again, it will not be this location.

Noodlebox has gone dramatically downhill. Ordered a fried egg on my box and it was barely cooked. We also got the naan and chicken which had almost no sauce. Can not recommend them at all.

Kudos to all the chefs here. I wish there's an About our Chefs page to acknowledge them. I love the noodles they make, very street food in make and taste. Great job! Only minus is the owner seem not to provide enough heating when it's already November and ur hands and feet are cold when dining. And there's no warm drinks.

We had a surprisingly good meal here during our recent trip to Victoria. While they are known for their burgers, we had been craving something a little lighter, and they had some delicious looking salads and lettuce wraps that drew us in. We were staying at the hotel, so the location was convenient. They were able to seat us right away. The service was a little slow, but kind and helpful. All our food was delicious, though I found the strawberry lemonade excessively sour (they were kind enough to remove it from the bill). The chocolate mousse for dessert was definitely the highlight. I would have no problem recommending this place or eating here again.

Went there to celebrate the last day of school for the kids. Although it was very busy, we were lucky to get the last unreserved table. The food was fresh and flavourful, the staff were so busy but still caring and helpful.

It was our second time to enjoy late hours deal. We arrived there around 8:30 and the staff was kind enough to let us wait inside after reservation for 9 pm dining. However, people sitting behind were very loud, anyways we can’t stop people they have rights to be loud. Service and food was good as always. One side of lounge was so bright and the other side was SO DARK.

It's a nice place, clean, well decorated. The tables are comfortable. It's a good place to celebrate a special occasion like your birthday. The food is delicious, we tried the pasta, salmon and vindaloo, everything was so delicious. The service is good but could be improved, we asked for coffee but the espresso machine was broken so they gave us drip coffee, the problem is that they gave it to us in a dirty cup. Other than that I think it's still a good place to visit and celebrate.

Second time I have visited restaurant this month. Food is reasonably good, nice options. I’d say very good quality. Service can be spotty depending on the service staff. First time it was more than excellent this second time around it was slightly less than adequate. After our food was served our server disappeared until we were almost done and were not checked on. I didn’t have a spoon for my soup and our water ran out quickly and she didn’t check up on us until I flagged her down for some attention. It wasn’t even that busy. The music was very loud when we entered the restaurant but as we were seated at a booth the volume decreased considerably. It became much more comfortable. We ordered a cheeseburger with clam chowder. Burger was excellent and chowder was a bit pasty so I asked for some hot water and a a spoon, and was better. Thai curry noodle bowl was excellent as per the last time I ordered it. I didn’t try it this time but it liked very good. I’d recommend it. Salmon with mashed potatoes looked good and my friend ate it all up. Then we also ordered a full and a half rack of ribs dinner. $30 for half $40 for a full rack. Was tasty and tender. We had two orders of cheese cake but it was just so so. If you come between 2pm-5pm or 9pm to close, they have a happy hour menu. Seems better than most happy hour offerings around town.

I’ve come here twice and I can definitely say thier truffle fries are spectacular and it was the best part of my meal. The staff was friendly and there were no problems with the food, however, I would argue that the price is a bit much for the quality of the food. The food isn’t bad but the quality doesn’t reflect the high prices. Overall a pretty good dining experience.

Beautiful presentation on the foods, we all love the polenta cubes. Pasta is nicely cooked, large portion size. However, we found it is too greasy at the final few bits of the pasta. Not everytime tho. So I will say 4.5/5

Great deal after 8:30pm, they have nightly specials from 3-11$ which is a fantastic price! Portions are perfect if you’re looking for a late night dinner! Wish they had the butternut squash pasta an option!
