Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar is a vibrant and inviting dining destination that celebrates the rich flavors of American cuisine, infused with a creative twist. Located in the…
All I can really say is this place is really good. The service is good, the atmosphere is happening. The whiskey drinks are good, especially the flights. I went with the fondue burger tonight, and it was hearty, messy, and delicious. The black lentil shepherds pie was nice. We ended the night with the whiskey cake and it was absolutely delicious. And I don't even like cake!! This restaurant has a high-end feel to it, so the service and prices are good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice night out with that special someone or friends, or if ya just want the cake!!
They have good collections of cocktails and beverages options. I was with my friends at this place and enjoyed the atmosphere, food and beverages. Service was very hospitable and offered lot of choices. One of us on that day not taking meat. So able to find vegetarian options and it was great. I forgot the dish name though
Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar offers a delightful dining experience that combines delicious food, a relaxed atmosphere, and an impressive drink selection. From the moment you walk in, the rustic yet modern decor sets the tone for an inviting, laid-back vibe. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a spot to celebrate with friends, Whiskey Cake provides a great setting for both. The standout feature of this restaurant is, unsurprisingly, the food. Their menu emphasizes fresh, seasonal ingredients and creative takes on comfort food. The signature Whiskey Cake dessert—a rich, bourbon-spiked cake topped with salted caramel—lives up to its reputation and is a must-try. The appetizers are also noteworthy, with the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Deviled Eggs being fan favorites. Main dishes like the Braised Short Ribs and Chicken Fried Steak offer comforting, hearty flavors, while the Pork Belly and Grilled Fish provide a lighter, more refined option. Pair any dish with one of their expertly crafted cocktails, or choose from their extensive whiskey selection, which includes both local and international favorites. Service at Whiskey Cake is attentive and friendly, with staff eager to share recommendations and make your experience even more enjoyable. It’s clear that the team takes pride in both the food and the overall guest experience. While the atmosphere can get a bit lively, especially during peak hours, the energy adds to the overall fun and festive vibe. Pricing is great for a casual spot, and the quality of the food and drinks makes it worth it. Overall, Whiskey Cake is a solid choice for a casual night out, a special occasion, or a place to indulge in a delicious meal with friends. The combination of innovative dishes, signature cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout in the crowded world of contemporary American dining.

Traveled to this area for a work trip and need a place to bring the team out for dinner. This place did not disappoint with the food and the drinks. Well portioned and everything on the menu was delicious. Highly recommend the pork chops and bacon wrapped quail.
Cute place. Lots of natural light and open. Service was quick and attentive. Good food that had great flavor. We were there for lunch on a Wednesday and it was not very busy.
The food tasted great, the space was cute, however the service from beginning to end was HORRIBLE. If they could keep the cook and fire everyone to restaff they would be much better off. Starting with our waitress flat out telling us she didn’t know how to work the order system and didn’t know the menu items. (Fine everyone is new at some point but is there no training process?) the entire staff was busy polishing silverware in the middle of the dining room tables to wait on customers. At one point there was 6 waiters watching the game on screaming at the tv, lint rolling themselves down, and drinking their own drinks (non alcoholic) in the main dining area and no one seeing customers. Our waitress never came to check on us once after taking our order to see if we needed anything. We had to ask multiple staff members for our check over a 15 minute period.
The Salt Lick – Round Rock is a premier dining destination renowned for its authentic Texas barbecue experience. Located in the vibrant heart of Round Rock, this establish…
Salt Lick is one of my favorite BBQ restaurants in the Austin area. I love their fatty, moist, sliced brisket. I love their sweet potato fries. I love their bread. The restaurant is always busy on the weekends for lunch. The servers are always friendly. Some of the bartenders are great. The only issue I have with Salt Lick is they run out of moist brisket fast. I wish they would get rid of waffle fries and switch to regular fries.
I cannot understand how people are giving this food anything above 2 stars. I gave two stars for the service, the food is a one star. No flavor, and bland. The brisket is almost dry, can be swung back and forth without breaking, and no flavor. The beans tasted like a scented candle. No, really, not being funny. Potato salad, well, not sure. The ones who like this BBQ probably argue about fast food burgers.
We had a family dinner at The Salt Lick in Round Rock on Saturday evening, around 6:30 pm. The parking lot as you pull in from the street was crowded and it took us a few minutes to find a spot. After we parked and went inside, we realized that there’s also parking on the far side of the building that was mostly empty. Definitely go around to the far side parking lot! There was a waiting list, and we were offered a table outside on the patio with no waiting, but we elected to wait for a table inside. We waited about 15 minutes. The inside is a large open room with a variety of large and small picnic style tables. Our server, Emma, was awesome. Very friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Three of us ordered the Family Style meal ($32.95 per person) which includes all you can eat of brisket, sausage, pork ribs, potato salad, cole slaw, and beans. My wife got the brisket and pork rib plate, and our adult daughter got the salad with brisket. Our grandkids are both under 3, so they were able to eat for free with the Family Style meal. I had high hopes based on some of the 5-star reviews, but, sadly, we were disappointed. Starting with the meats; the moist brisket was very good. Tender and flavorful with a nice smoke ring, everyone liked the moist brisket. The lean brisket was dry, and we only got moist brisket after the first family style plate. The pork ribs were okay. They had good flavor, but they were just not very meaty. Maybe it was just the batch that we were served, but we got several rounds of ribs with our family style meals, and they were all about the same. The sausage was unremarkable and disappointing. We weren’t given an option and didn’t specifically ask, but if they have jalapeno sausage, I suggest giving that a try if you really want sausage. The moist brisket was the winner for everyone at the table. The sides fell flat with everyone at the table. I’m not sure what kind of potato salad it was, maybe some type of German potato salad, but nobody liked it. Maybe if it was served warm, it might be better but served cold it tasted like leftover potato salad that you got out of a refrigerator because nobody ate it the day before! And the cole slaw? Maybe an Asian twist on cole slaw, I’m not sure. Definitely not traditional cole slaw. Nobody at the table liked the cole slaw or the beans either. It’s crazy because there are great reviews out there, so maybe it is just my family, but we didn’t ask for seconds on any of the sides for our family style meal. I saw some folks get macaroni and cheese, which looked good, but we didn’t try it. There were also some awesome looking desserts, but again, based on our food, we elected to skip dessert. Bottom line, in my book The Salt Lick is not worth all the hype. But, hey, this is just my opinion based on one family meal that we had there. Unfortunately, there are so many other options for great BBQ out there, that we will not be going back. Please give it a try for yourself if you are up for it, but I can’t recommend it. Sorry.

YUMMY! Y'all, if you are downtown Round Rock, this is one of my favorite places. The Molcajete is soooooo good! 2 to 3 of us have been able to share the Molcajete for one. We ordered extra rice and beans, but it's perfect. The street corn is great as well. The mexican martini are delicious. Meals and drinks are reasonably priced. They have live music on the patio later in the evening on the weekend. Service is usually great.
Amazing happy hour deals and delicious food, 6 flautas for $13 is incredible! Outdoor or indoor, it’s a lovely environment
The only reason it gets two stars is cause of the bartender Alicia and Ashley actually took care of us. We sat outside cause we brought our dog and they told us that the bar outside opens at 6. When it hit 6:10, nobody was really outside which was fine, so we decided to go inside and order. It is a bit busy indoors so we wait by the bar to take our order. We watched two bartenders/servers take the orders for the people indoors and completely ignore us when we asked us if we could place an order. At first we figured they were busy, but then we saw that they were just talking with one another and didn’t even ask if we needed anything. They looked at us and then just proceeded to ignore us. It wasn’t until Alicia came around the bar and asked if we needed help. Luckily, when more people sat outdoors and we finally had an outdoor bartender named Ashley, she took care of us. Gave us what we needed. Probably won’t come here again just cause our first time here gave us a sour taste in our mouths. Thought it was supposed to be a nice new experience, but I guess it’s better to just go elsewhere.
Saltgrass Steak House is a renowned dining establishment that specializes in delivering an exceptional Texas-inspired dining experience. Founded with a passion for high-quality…
A very Texan steakhouse. The portions are large, and the prices are quite reasonable. The quality of the meat matches the price, and the chef’s handling of the ingredients is above standard—no food was wasted at all. The other side dishes we chose were quite standard and met our expectations. So, I highly recommend this chain restaurant. The server intervenes and serves at just the right times, never feeling intrusive but always present. It’s a great place for a warm gathering with friends and family. Oh, and the photos at the entrance of the restroom are really cute.
Bread, soup, and tea, excellent... her loaded potatoes and my garlic potatoes. Excellent. My chicken fried chicken seemed ok and a little bit smaller compared to what we'd had in the previous trips. Is is large in the pick but that is the angle ....And the shrimp appetizer just wasn't presented real well... Maybe spread the onion strings out and then put the shrimp at the four corners with the sauce in the middle. Just what I would have done..
Very.... Nice calm place. To spend with your wife, or friend. Atmosphere is very chill'..... service A+... Food.....Excellent.... take a look at my pictures.... that Steak was one of the best ones I have had.

First off I wanted to say the service was excellent our server answered all our questions in detail about the food and how they cooked their food being our first time there. The Chips and tuna dip were really good the chips were crunchy and the tuna dip had a nice smokey taste to it. The calamari was great it was crispy and light with the batter. Loved the fresh oysters we had there were three different types of oysters they served that you can choose from the menu. I would recommend getting the fish and chips there and the southern fish tacos. Although the fried fish were crispy the fries were a little soggy. The fish tacos were delicious you could pick if you wanted the fish fried or smoked and I got the one that's smoked there were a lot of flavors packed in the fish tacos with the pickled jalapeno and red onion. Overall the food here is mediocre the steak was okay and the shrimp enchiladas were a bit salty but love the rice that came with it. The smoked salmon was not as flavorful as we expected it to be felt like it was missing something.
Service was excellent! The waiter was friendly, attentive but not overly bothersome, and was very helpful and informative about the menu. They do have an actual physical menu which I appreciate (rather than just some QR code). The food was delicious! It was the best order of fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish was just cooked to perfection, succulent and moist inside of a crispy crust. The tartar sauce was also exceptionally good. Gumbo was full of flavor. If I could afford it I would go back more often - The quality of food and service certainly justifies their price-points. They do not have a kids menu which is a bit strange.
This spot definitely gets packed for dinner. Open Table reservations are highly recommended. We were able to get a table before our reservation for Happy Hour. Our server was friendly and we never felt rushed to order. His attention to detail was top notch with a table spill, oyster stand, and straw requests. The entire staff was friendly and very team oriented. This location/staff does not disappoint for warm Texas hospitality, conversation and fresh entrees.

Cant find prime rib oak smoked at bbq’s here in ATX, but at Rudy’s your in Great Luck! Delicious! Cream corn and potatoes salad do not disappoint like other establishments do. Highly recommend feelin Texan and eating like ine at Rudy’s Great BBQ!
My family loves this place and since it was highly rated I wanted to give it a try. They have allergen info posted by the register and each cashier has the list of items and their allergens. All meats except for pulled pork is gluten-free and of course they have breads for sandwiches all over, so let them know when you order that you have an allergy and they will change the cutting boards and knives for your order. I spoke with the cashier, asked for them to change the boards and their gloves and put down that I had a gluten allergy. The cashier didn’t seem too sure of the process but the management in the back seemed to know what they were doing. I ordered 2 orders of the baby back ribs, and got the potato salad and Cole slaw (all pre-packed separately in a fridge for customers to grab before going to the register). The rub on the baby back ribs was too peppery for my tasters and I had a mild gluten-headache/brain fog from small amounts of cross contact. I would eat here in a pinch, but would much rather try some other places that are more knowledgeable/dedicated gluten free.
One of the best BBQs I've ever had. Especially the pulled pork and the sausage were to die for. In addition to that the staff was so nice and very patient and explaining their whole process of cooking their meats.
Rock ‘N’ Grill Authentic Indian Cuisine & Bar is a vibrant culinary destination that brings the rich and diverse flavors of India to the heart of the community….
Rock N Grill offers an exceptional Indian dining experience that truly satisfies the taste buds. Starting with the appetizers, the Gobi Manchurian and Crispy Corn were absolute standouts. The Gobi Manchurian had the perfect balance of tangy and spicy flavors, while the Crispy Corn lived up to its name with a delightful crunch that left us craving more. For the main course, we indulged in the Paneer Tikka Masala and Veg Chettinad. The Paneer Tikka Masala was rich, creamy, and seasoned to perfection, with soft paneer chunks that melted in the mouth. The Veg Chettinad brought a taste of South India with its bold, aromatic spices—an excellent choice for those who love flavorful curries. To complement the meal, we tried the Mango Lassi and Masala Buttermilk, both refreshing and authentic. The Mango Lassi was thick and fruity, while the Masala Buttermilk provided a light, spiced counterpoint to the hearty meal. Additionally, their selection of Indian beer was a great touch, adding to the overall experience. The service was warm, and the ambiance added to the enjoyable evening. Rock N Grill delivered good food and authentic Indian flavors. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Indian cuisine!

I've been to the Razoos location in Killeen, Texas twice and this was my first visit in Round Rock. When I first walked in, the greeter immediately seated me near the bar section. It was a cozy little nook which I appreciated. My waiter was Hayden, and he was very pleasant to chat up small talk. And after a brief minute or two, I ordered the Cajun combo, which consisted of crawfish etoufee, 1 anduoille sausage link, creole shrimp w/rice, and red beans. My drink of choice was the Wildberry lemonade. Oh my goodness, it was so good that I ended up drinking the whole thing before my meal was served. I didn't have a long wait, maybe 5 minutes or so. When my order did arrive, it was steaming hot in a cast iron skillet and it looked delicious. The flavor was on point and I enjoyed every bite. There was so much food that I ended up having to get a togo bag. I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied and will most likely return whenever I'm visiting the area. I'd give the customer service an A, the taste of the food an A, and the important fact that the food was served hot, gives them an A+. Good job Razoos, your mission was accomplished with this guest.
I've been a few times and it was average, but I want to shout them out because today was great. Server was very kind, food was fresh hot, and all orders correct. We were a party of 6. The manager also checked in on us. I appreciate when managers to this at a restaurant. Great job today!
This is the best food I've had in years! This is the first time we came here, we are very pleased, our waitress Taylor was very professional! Very good customer service. Food was fresh and sooo good. Thank y'all! Definitely will be back.

I love Jack Allen's! A great farm to table restaurant that doesn't disappoint! I celebrated my birthday with family! Service was phenomenal as usual! I ordered their wedge salad as an appetizer, which is one of my favorites. I also ordered the stuffed crab pesto chicken as recommended by our waitress, and it was okay. The presentation was unexpected, but the sauce was so delicious. The chicken was a bit overcooked and had a rubbery texture, ultimately falling below my expectation. My husband ordered chicken fried chicken, and it was tasty! The dessert was delicious as well. Overall, I had great experience, and I will return and recommend it!! P.S. The Barbacoa Stackers are devine! The Pork Medallions and Grilled Ruby Trout are typically my go-to meal/appetizer!
Date night at Jack Allen’s. The food was good but not excellent. We had the fish tacos, enchiladas and the queso as an appetizer. The atmosphere was nice but it’s a little too dark at the long tables by the bar so I felt like my eyes were getting strained. Overall it was a nice experience but I wouldn’t go there again especially since it’s pretty far from where we live.
The spicy watermelon margarita was out of this world! The bar service was outstanding and the bartender was attentive and friendly. The manager served the complimentary pimiento cheese appetizer and was friendly. The Philly cheesesteak was good, but for my taste, I would not order it again. Overall, I love this place and will definitely go back again!

The worst take out We ask for the sauce to be on the side some our burgers wont be soggy, but they did not add any sauce at all. Did not add utensils. They gave us half of queso and our avocado is black for our nachos.
I pulled up to try the Smashburger and stayed for the purple Reign and Brussels sprouts. I'm going to rate the burger a solid 7. I like a bit more smash and caramelization on my Smashburger. The onion bun is taking over the show a bit. It's the first thing you taste.
Amazing Wagyu burger! We had had a long morning and wanted to try someplace new. Hopdoddy did not disappoint. We all loved the food and atmosphere. The service was quick, kind, and spot on. I would happily come back to try more on the menu and the beer on tap.

Wow, what a great place! Great food, great beer selection, covered dog-friendly patio, and a comfortable atmosphere. I was in the mood for breakfast, so I went with a BYOBurger with egg, bacon, avocado and the spicy ranch, per Ronny's recommendation. It definitely delivered! The combination of flavors was amazing. I'll be back!
Well a friend of mine comes here pretty often. We happen to be in the area so she brought me here. We set outside ordered drinks and appetizers. Both were delicious. The young man who served us was kind and polite he recommended our drinks. The ambiance was cool and relaxing. I will visit again
Another great gem in Round Rock. Great atmosphere. More porch/outdoor seating than indoor but the porches are covered and really inviting. They nailed my BLT and seasoned fried. They rotating taps for beer enthusiasts and lots of screens for catching a game.

The atmosphere when you walk in was decorated for fall and the dining area was classy. I love the fireplaces. The food was very delicious. I had the smash burger and the winter salad. It is a new winter item on the menu. Our server Jake was polite and served us with a smile. Overall a 10..
The family wanted to go out for dinner on a whim one evening. We live in Hutto, so there’s not many options when it comes to restaurant. One place that has come up a few times and is relatively close by, is Cork & Barrel. The place is classed as an Irish Pub, and with my wife’s father being from Belfast, we thought it would be a good spot to try. The place is huge, with a massive outside dining and playing area helps give it a communal and social feel. We were seated inside, in an area which felt more like a bar, than a pub. On the other side of the building, there is a darker, more cozy feeling area which we would’ve preferred. My wife instantly ordered the Irish Stew, as it’s a benchmark item for her, when trying somewhere Irish themed. She went with a cup of it, as a tester, and it had a really nice thick consistency to it, and tasted great. What a good start! Curried Fries and Smoked Wings were appetizers ordered for the table. Both went quickly, with the Curried Fries being a particular favourite for myself and my eldest daughter. From an Irish food point of view, outside of the stew, there’s not much else on the menu that could be classed as “Irish”. Somebody pointed out Fish n Chips, but that wasn’t doing it for my wife (more an English thing), so I ordered it. The cod was nice, and the batter was crispy and not too thick (as it usually is here in the US). The chips were a letdown, though as they tasted frozen, when they should’ve been fresh hand-cut, deep-fried thick chips…not French fries ☹ My kids seemed to enjoy their food and the general experience. I finished off my dinner with Ice cream and Apple pudding-like dessert. It was really nice. Will order again. Overall, it’s a nice place, with spotty-to-decent service and nosh, but lacks Irish foods (if that’s what you’re after).
If you're seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Texas, look no further than Cork and Barrel Craft Kitchen and Microbrewery. This place is a gem! Start your meal with their giant, soft pretzel, served warm with a side of savory cheese sauce, a garlic cream cheese, and spicy Mustard that left me wanting more. Their beef stew is an absolute knockout, featuring tender chunks of beef simmered to perfection in a rich, flavorful broth—it's comfort food at its finest. And let's not forget the fries—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. Everything I saw on the menu sounded amazing, and looked even better as we saw food coming out to the tables around us. I wish we ordered more, but we had just eaten and came for drinks. Their Pina Colada cider; it's a refreshing twist on a classic drink that perfectly balances the sweetness of pineapple with a hint of creamy coconut. Whether you're there for the food, the drinks, or the overall atmosphere, Cork and Barrel Craft Kitchen and Microbrewery delivers a top-notch experience that will leave you raving to all your friends.

Ray W was so amazing! He was very attentive, with all his tables and guests. He was very personable and so funny! My girl and I loved being served by him and BJ’s is so lucky to have him work for them. Thank you for being so kind and funny!
We have visited several BJ’s restaurants, but this has been the best experience by far, all thanks to Luke. He was not only attentive and professional but also incredibly kind and personable. Luke went out of his way to make sure our entire family felt welcome, especially our kiddo. He took the time to engage with him, make him smile and feel special, which made our meal even more enjoyable. His warmth and genuine care made a big difference, and we truly appreciated the extra effort he put into making our visit memorable. Thank you, Luke, for your exceptional service and kindness!
Went for lunch and while it wasn’t super packed the food came out slow. Great attentive customer service from Shivan. Half off pizza on Mondays. Good beer choices in the Gold medal flight. Boneless wings weren’t dried out. Tavern cut pepperoni pizza was oily but tasty. Hickory brisket and bacon burger was cooked and plated perfectly. Fries were a little too salty. Overall a satisfying lunch.

First off, the staff are VERY friendly and welcoming and I felt like I was eating at a family friends house for dinner. It’s always nice eating at a place where you feel comfortable. The atmosphere is great. The food was amazing and very tasty. I got the Texan and it has so much flavor. Our waiter was very tentative and cleared our table quickly and checked up on us frequently. He was very sweet. We definitely will be back!!
This was our first time visiting. My kiddo devoured her hamburger and fries before my plate was even served. I ordered the Llanera, and the steak was done perfectly, juicy and tender with lots of melted cheese. Their handmade sodas are delightful as well. The whole staff was very attentive, and the seating area and bathroom was very clean ✨️ My only regret is not discovering this place sooner.
The food here is delicious! Wasn’t the biggest fan of the tostones though—they had way too much sauce which kind of overwhelmed everything. But the Pabellón arepita? Incredible. The tender beef, black beans, fried plantains, and cheese all came together perfectly, making each bite super flavorful. I recommend adding the additions noted under each if you wanted a boost of flavor, they’ll be warned that the hot sauce is very hot. I’ll definitely be back for more!
