The food here is bar food, so you'll get what you'll expect, but with a bit of a surprise, their flavors are plentiful which is why I come back, they always have something to beat the hunger back. When the games are on, the atmosphere is electric. Good place to watch Sunday afternoon games!

An ok place to get bar food. I’ve had better wings and much better service. Food wasn’t bad but I expected better.

Very delicious food. Quick service, didn't have to wait too long for drinks or food. The Mango Margarita is done to perfection and great selection of beer. Got full and still had food leftover to take home. Not cheap but not expensive either.

This is our favorite breakfast spot! We come here over and over, even though we are staying in South Padre. The service is fantastic, everyone is friendly and helpful and everything has been consistent for years. The food is always delicious, the coffee stays hot and the owner is soo nice. Highly recommend the tacos. They're huge! Barbacoa is so good. And the new churro waffle, so much crunchy cinnamon sugar! Our 3 year old loves it too! We will keep coming back!

To start off, you pick your own seating. The waitreses were nice and attentive.I had the enchiladas with carne guisada plate! This is my go-to plate at mexican restaurants. I got my plate fairly quick. The enchiladas had good flavor, and the tortilla was soft. The carne guisada had a good flavor. Once I was finished, they offered me a complimentary dessert, but I was already full overall great experience!!

Yesterday, November 22, I went with my family to celebrate my wife's birthday. The waiting time was more than an hour. Once we got to the table, I asked for information on some recommendations. The waiter didn't help me. When we finally decided to order two mini hamburgers, when two of them arrived, the bread was burnt and super hard. In addition, the meat arrived cold on the adult plates. The waiter was inattentive when it came to refilling our drinks and offering me some other additional dish. We are very disappointed because we decided to go to your place to have a very nice time but we did not leave happy, the children did not eat anything but the meat The potatoes are also very cold

Super attentive service by a fairly young crew. Steaks, good as usual and drinks good too. Of course the rolls with the cinnamon butter are just beyond delicious. I love the bagged peanuts since I get to take them home to eat later.

Well, I came in and looked awesome deceiving. Don't let the presentation fool you. At first, it was too bloody, and then they Took back to hard and dry o gave up. Yet $21.00 for this small 8oz. Was NOT WORTH THE MONEY. They did everything in such a hurry that when they came back, my shrimp were cold, so I could not enjoy a well cooked hot meal. I was just disappointed that I left it behind and was not even going to bother. But I won't order it again. I was pretty impressed with the pull pork, not to shabby. Nor to dry yet moist enough and well served and got full. Not to mention, I requested that the cooked Jalapenos add that extra taste. I'm not a fan of the sauce they give you, so I ate it mixed in my baked potato and was very good. My sides were the baked potato normal butter and sour cream and corn. I will order this once again when I go back. Thank you, Texas Roadhouse, or should I say the cook!.

Visited this past Sunday for the first time. I enter the restaurant and was not acknowledged, I didn't know if I had to just seat myself or wait for someone to give me a table. Finally, someone who was not a worker tells me that I have to check in with the hostess. After being seated, our waiter took our orders and I asked him about the Michelada that they have on the menu, he tells me that he needs to check to see if they have all the ingredients to make it and get back with me on that. Well, he never got back with me on that. In fact, he hardly got back with me on anything. I saw him attending everyone in the restaurant except me. I had to flag him down so that I could pay. I asked him if I could just give him my card or if I needed to go up to the register to pay and he told me he could take my payment, which again he never did because he was too busy helping everyone else except me. So finally I stood up to pay at the register and he then sees me and takes my payment. It's sad because I would have probably tipped him great since I had just gotten a nice bonus at work and was in Brownsville for a last minute trip. The food was good, but sadly because of the lack of service I won't be back.

The desserts here are absolutely delightful, boasting flavors that tantalize the taste buds with each bite. I'm more than willing to pay a premium for such exceptional quality treats. Moreover, the cashier provided exemplary service, demonstrating attentiveness and a genuine friendliness that enhanced the overall experience.

The food was great! As we arrived a nice worker told us to sit wherever we'd like. We had a nice gentleman by the name of Christian as our waiter. He was amazing very good service!! Overall it was a great experience and My husband and I would to come back. ☺️

My wife and I came to celebrate our anniversary. Service was good, food was great. It was not at all busy, but we went at 7pm on a Wednesday. We really enjoyed our meals and appetizers. I think the price is a little on the high end, but a nice play to come every now and then.

My wife and I have gone to Madeira many times. It is a once or twice a year type of restaurant for our budget. Typically will save it for a celebration or some type of special occasion like a birthday. It is a little bit pricey, but the quality of the food and the atmosphere is reflected in the price. I have never had a bad or even mediocre meal at this place. Everything they serve from the cocktails, to the appetizers, to the salads, to the entrées, to the desserts is fantastic. You will spend a minimum of $40 a person at this location. But you will enjoy yourself. The atmosphere is very upscale and comfortable. It’s almost like communal dining because you are so close to the other guests and that can be fine or you can make sure they seat you away from that bench row so you’re not too close to other people. There’s also a very nice patio for the rare occasion that there are not mosquitoes or too much wind to sit outside and enjoy. All in all I give this place five stars for atmosphere, food and service. It is definitely the finest restaurant in Brownsville buy a long stretch. People come from all over the valley to eat here.

Ordered a $80+ med rare steak and it came well done, not only was my steak not cook to temp but my whole party as well, fries were cold and had a funky taste to them and the shrimp has hard and over cooked, don’t come here if you really wanna spend money in some good food. Apps and drinks were delicious. The service was great! Sucks that the food was very subpar. Look at the pic, how do you mess up a med rare steak to well done when you are paying $80+ I could be wrong but the steaks may have been frozen before hand.

I wanted to love the food here but unfortunately it was ok at best. I ordered the Rick Wrap and as yummy as it looked it lacked in flavor and the steak was not fully cooked (I like mine well done, I know that some peeps appreciate some pink so you can decide if that's good or bad!). I thought it was my plate that maybe wasn't up to par, but sadly, I got the same feedback from my peeps. The redeeming qualities for the place were the atmosphere and the generous serving portions! We sat on the outdoor patio, enjoying the little river that runs alongside it. The fried pickles were also very good; they were fat and juicy but crispy at the same time. This place strikes me as a place to have your typical fried bar food and a drink on the patio with your peeps. The menu is very diverse, I just wish the flavors could be a bit better.

Excellent food, indoor or outside by the water where i sit and enjoy my favorite local band, Emilio Crixell and Border Soul on Sunday evenings regularly! I have also had my last two birthday celebrations at Cobbleheads! Great food, accomodations and music!

1st time here. We were on 2 tables. Food was Great!!!! Service..... what service??? Was horrible, not just on my table, but my wife's table as well. I thought it was just me, nope! Ordered water, never brought it, so I insisted on it, til I got it. Your given 1 napkin, I had to request more, 1 is never enough for me, especially if you order the ribs. Next time, I will follow my RULE, horrible service, horrible tip!!!!!. I expected Alot ALIT better service for the prices.

Family-friendly restaurant stop by and enjoy some delicious home made food. I had the Blackened Salmon it was cooked to perfection very soft, almost melts in your mouth, amazing! The Ribs are very delicious and tender the meat fell off the bone with no problem. Today, my son had the bacon cheeseburger as usual. Unfortunately, it was nasty he took a few bites, and right away was unable to continue eating it. My daughter had the chicken pasta, and she loved it! Most of the time, we can count on a great meal and a good time!

Good restaurant, very friendly and attentive staff. Quality of food was good. The Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds, Bread and Chips and homemade Queso and Salsa never disappoint. I must admit that the New Orleans pasta sauce had no flavor. The chicken and sausage were perfectly seasoned though. Lemon Pepper chicken dish was scrumptious and had a hearty portion.

Went to lunch over at Bubbas 33 in brown Town and it did not disappoint. Started with some crooked cheese sticks for an appetizer then followed that up with a guacamole bacon burger with loaded tots. The food was delicious and the service was awesome, very polite and always checking in on us to make sure we were doing Ok, always refilling our drinks. Would definitely go back. On Mondays all burgers are only $9.99

11-6-24 visit was a Chicken fried chicken with a side of mac. I topped it with mushrooms and onions and chilies. It definitely changed the flavor..........the nachos were a visit on 7-21-24, there were very well served. It actually fed the wife and I. Well definitely order that again...........Managed to make it back for a Mother's Day 2024 dinner. Great food and service no wait. I had the Chicken bacon Mac and cheese, wife had a shotgun chicken sandwich, son had the southern fried chicken, daughter had a chicken sandwich and son had a steak. Great meal definitely be back.........Bubba's did not disappoint again. Started with the poblano dip. Food was great and service was top notch. Wife ordered the mushroom burger, daughter ordered the sunshine burger and I had the tenders & shrimp combo. Be back to try something else.

I've known a lot of bubba's in my life.. Some good, some not so good. This Bubba is the real Bubba Cajun chow! Lots of TVs to get your sports fix and a few channels of music videos.. The staff we encountered were all very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and funny.. it's a pretty standard sports bar establishment with a fairly large menu to choose from.. It can get a bit loud, but that's just how popular sports bars are.. Check it out if wanna meet some new friends and watch a little NFL.. Go Kansas City!! Or Denver!!!! Plotted. Scouts Out. This was my first visit to a Black Bear and I loved it! The service was incredible, the portions are so big (I wish I had others to help me eat all that food!), and the food was yum! The menu is insane and of course, I had to read it all. Then you can read their story and their “newspaper”. It was a cool vibe! I really enjoyed myself and even went back for breakfast the next day! Excited to eat here again when I’m back in the area!

This was our first visit to this restaurant. After a short wait, our party of 6 was seated in a booth but was given the option of a round table. Everyone placed their order and waited a reasonable amount of time for fresh food. Everything looked good; one order was incorrect, but was made right with no issues. All plates were delicious and satisfying. On the way out, I spotted something interesting looking & asked the guest-- it was a cornbread muffin. Now we have to go back!

Black Bear Diner is a fantastic spot for breakfast! Their biscuits are absolutely delicious, and the omelettes are consistently amazing. Highly recommend for a hearty, satisfying meal. My cousins from mexico city visited and took them here. They loved it
