We were in prince rupert for vacation and found this on google search. Location is good. Prices are very high compare to the level of Indian cooking. Indian cooking skills need to be improved. Same marination of chicken was used in Butter chicken and tandoori Chicken. Naans were not freshly made, Everything was just like drive thorough food restaurants, Just heat up the things and sell. Sorry, Not a recommendation.
Menu had a good variety of dishes. Our party ordered 4 different dishes and all were well presented and quite tasty. Portions were good size and prices were reasonable. Not fancy decor or trendy area but we went for the food and were quite happy with what we found.
We ordered the Steak Burger and Fish and Chips. Burger was delicious and great fries. Fish was great as well (halibut) but the two strips were quite small for the price. Will definitely be eating there again.

This man knows how to make food. I have never tasted flavours like I have coming to Sonbadas steakhouse. An absolute treat. Intimate venue. Culinary mastery as the main course. You choose this for your night out you will not be disappointed. Blown away by the service but most of all the quality and flavour of the dishes.
Being working from Alberta (and many other provinces), this place honestly has some of the best food I’ve ever had. I work on the road in every corner of every province. This fellow, who is the owner of, is not only the server, but also the cook! Add this, nobody is ever waiting nor complaining even with multiple tables to wait on. The food is VERY eloquently presented and delicious!! The price is what it is out here, but I keep coming back because it’s worth it! This guy has some mad skills!!!
Tried once on July 9 for delivery. Ordered the seafood platter which is over 200$ expecting this is a family meal , as shown in the picture it has nothing worth the price .( barely any meat in the lobster tail ) If you compare this price to what you get in Captian’s boil in Vancouver ( which is in more busy / expensive spot ), you would know the difference. That was the worst meal / quantity/ price value I had ever had. Never again !

Located just a half a block off the cruise pier this is a small, been around a while establishment. I would call it rustic with plenty of local photographs on the walls and other memorabilia. I wish I could give the food a higher rating but shrimp and scallops are breaded and right out of the freezer into the fryer. I would expect with the availability of fresh fish that it wouldn’t be frozen deep-fried. However, the Boston clam chowder was outstanding rich and flavorful with plenty of clam. The owner, waitress, bus person, cashier was friendly, and truly hustle to get everybody taken care of. Although I didn’t have one, I saw that the hamburgers looked to be pretty good size. I would say if you’re wandering around the docks of Prince Rupert if you give it a try, just know what you’re ordering.
Very small restaurant and it was packed. We got lucky and were seated right away. But there was only 1 waitress so took quite a while for service. Staff were friendly, though. We received our food quickly, especially with it being so busy. The food was decent, just a little under seasoned across the board. We had fish, puteen, and hamburger steak. Good bar/beer selection which we were surprised by.
This place has been around forever. And then some. When you walk inside, it’s like a time capsule. I would bet the fish and chips have been made the same way since this place opened.. It’s not a tourist trap. The locals eat here. The food is good. Chances are you know the guy sitting on the side of the restaurant. If you have a chance to go try. It’s worth it. Fish and chips the way it should be .

That was pathetically bad. Waited 10 minutes for the hostess to come back to her post, and when she did she just asked “are you good?” Why do you think I’m standing at your podium in the first place? Appetizer took over 30 minutes and entree lagged similarly. But the worst was checking out. After waiting 20 minutes I walked to where the waiters are and forced them to check me out, I had places to be. The service is just so atrociously bad here. The food itself is okay, definitely nothing to rave about. Given how expensive it is you’d figure they could afford to staff properly, but I guess not. And this was when it was half empty, would hate to see how bad it is when they’re full.
Good service and great view. Came here for local food and was not disappointed. Craft beer choices are from local breweries. Halibut and chips using local caught fish was the best I've had, tender and flakey and tasted delicious.
The servers do their very best, however it is obvious they are short staffed and have a lot on their plate. Food is great and menu has an array of options. We often go for steak dinners and have never been disappointed. The cocktails are great too ! Very kid friendly! One of the most modern interior decor you will see in Prince Rupert, with a spectacular view of the water !

Had room service from the Waterfront restaurant twice while I was staying at the Crest Hotel - it was impeccable both times. My dinner arrived within 20 minutes of placing the order on both nights, and was plated beautifully and presented on a nice platter. Below is what I ate, and every single thing was 10/10... my compliments to the chef!! Night #1: -Scallop Spoons -Blackened Ling Cod + Prawns Night #2: -North Coast Seafood Chowder -Dockside Halibut Fry with side Caesar Salad (instead of fries)
First time eating here The service was excellent We shared the shrimp martini for our appetizer It was fresh and delicious. The housemade cocktail sauce was amazing I had the Angus strip loin. It was cooked perfectly. Medium Rare. Charred the right amount. The accompanying vegetables were cooked perfectly. My wife had the Halibut and chips The Halibut was lightly battered and cooked perfectly. The fries were also cooked exactly as they should be. We shared a amazing dessert of which the name escapes me. I enjoyed a Moscow Mule along with my dinner. To top it all off, the views from our table of the Harbour were amazing. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy the views and another amazing dining experience! We just stayed at the Crest Hotel again last night when we got off the ferry. Ate at the waterfront Restaurant of course! We were not disappointed. Food, service, and the atmosphere were amazing You have to stay at the Crest and eat at the Waterfront
The best food we've had in a long while. Service was great. Atmosphere was magical. Loved our experience at Waterfront. We had Fisherman's pasta, surf and turf, scallop spoons and for dessert, (highly recommend) semifreddo.

The food was delicious. We went for 2 of the burger bonanza $19 specials. The server told us that it came with fries so we only ordered additional drinks for an additional $4. We should have only paid $42 + $5.04 taxes for a total of 47.04. Our total was $50.40 and we left an additional tip of $5.60 for a total of $56. Either the server included a $3.36 tip without telling us or charged us for something we didn't order and then didn't give us an itemized receipt. Won't be going back thanks to these shady practices.
Definitely a must try breakfast/lunch spot. There’s lots of selection that you won’t get anywhere else in Prince Rupert. The staff is always nice and the food is always quality. I would recommend this place any day of the week. I personally recommend the Chicken Bang Bang Bennys. This comes as 2 poached eggs on English muffin and bbq style chicken, topped with a mango chutney and a side of hash browns. The flavours are delicious and very unique.
Located where Neptune originally served its Neptune breakfast. The Ridge pays homage and brings breakfast back with a delicious take. The Ridge contends for the best breakfast in town. Lunch fusions with a varied menu tuned with Filipino flavours. Classic breakfast, with fresh takes on the good ol egg benedicts. Quick service and friendly staff.

Tried the Sunset Lounge + Grill as recommended by our agent. Walked in on a Sunday for dinner and there were tables available. Mainly serving Indian cuisine adjusted to Canadian palate. We ordered prawn skewers, fries, pizza, stir fried noodles, dumplings and Wheelhouse beer. Food was delicious and service is good. The place needs updating though.
My husband and I tried their pizza last night, and overall, I highly recommend this place for a good vibe, good time, and great food. The service was welcoming, and as my husband mentioned, adding a beer on tap would make this place a total hit. ✨ Looking forward to more visits at Sunset Lounge and Grill!
It's a lovely place to eat, and the food is excellent. The burger was very flavorful and tasty, and solid fries in the poutine. My little niggles were that the waitress missed my 'no tomato' request (ended up just taking it off the burger after I bit in) and the poutine is a bit too salty in my taste. Still good, and they used real cheese curds which is a plus, but could be improved. Still, happy to eat there and will go back, one of the top places in town

We heard great things about Dolly’s so we had to stop by. This is the shoulder season so the staff went back to college. New staff learning the ropes and very slow. The halibut bites were tasty but tough. The cold smoked salmon was delicious. I heard from the other table the fish &chips were delicious. I would recommend and try them again to give another chance.
Best french fries and halibut was just as described in previous reviews. Plump and juicy. Paired it with a local lager. Bon appetit!!
Had another absolutely BRILLIANT meal at Dolly's Fish Market tonight from their new Italian menu! I wish I had thought to take a photo of the bruschetta too because I could have licked that plate clean! I had the potato crusted halibut with risotto and it was so yummy I may never try anything else on the menu because I want to eat this Every. Single. Night. My friend enjoyed the salmon with risotto. We both had a side salad with house dressing - great fresh greens and crunchy vegetables with a perfect oil/balsamic dressing. Our server Justin was awesome even though every table was filled. He was friendly and attentive and our food arrived hot and timely!! 5 SOLID STARS!

I come to PR often en route to work, and I love stopping at Wheelhouse Brewing, especially at their new location near Bill Murray Drive (great street name). They got a great spot overlooking the ocean by a park, ample parking nearby. They have a variety of pizzas to order, comes with a pizza cutter so you cut how you like, which I haven't seen before and is pretty original. Lots of beer to choose from too, I enjoy trying out flights. A favourite spot to chill in Prince Rupert.
Great craft brewhouse in PR. The old location was a nice spot, but the new digs are incredible!! The upstairs seating area treats you with incredible views of the harbour. The beer line up is extensive and very tasty!
Fresh locally made beer, ginger, beer, kombucha, and cider. Super friendly service. Right at the waterfront, a relaxing place to enjoy. The kitchen is open for pizza and snacks.

We'll start with my only dislike, which was the French toast. It was a little dry and tough for my taste. It felt like the bread wasn't able to absorb the egg. Everything else was delicious, though! Very fresh and tasty. Customer service was good. Wait, time for food was a bit long but not too bad considering how busy they were. I will return :)
The only reason we came to this restaurant is because we're staying in this hotel. Usually hotel restaurants have decent food, right? Should have known when we walked into the dining room at 6:30 pm and the place was empty. An older Asian lady served us wearing slippers. Talk about no respect for the business and the customers. (We should've walked out then) Secondly, we noticed the price on the menu was petty expensive. My wife and I both ordered the veal cutlets for $24 each meal. For the price, We expected home make cutlets. The meal served with two pcs of veal, mash potato, and a couple of teaspoons of frozen mixed vegetables. The veal was also processed frozen supplied by Sysco, deep fried instead of pan fried. Meat was mushy and hard to tell what meat it was. The vegetables had no taste, no salt of butter and under cooked. The potato was slimy with no taste. Using cheap potatoes? Gravy tasted like chemical. Gravy mix. Funny, no one knows how to make gravy anymore. Overall, this was the WORST MEALS we had in our two months long road trip. Yes, we noticed they had lots of good reviews on Google Maps. Have they changed management since? Oh, this was the first time in my adult life that I didn't leave any tips in a restaurant. PUT ON SOME SHOES, LADY!!!!!!!!
Although the restaurant had just opened, there were crumbs on the benches, so we decided to sit at another table. A grim-looking lady brought us the menu. The very limited selection did not convince us to order anything. The prices also seemed quite high - since we left the restaurant, we cannot give an assessment of the quality or quantity of the food, nor of the price-performance ratio.

This was part of a cruise ship excursion and I expected a quick lunch of an appetizer or two and possibly a glass of water. Boy, was I happily wrong! Appetizers, main, dessert - all absolutely delicious and unique. Likely the best food I've had the entire cruise through Alaska. Our group was treated like family and spent time talking with staff about the food and learning more about the meal we were all enjoying. If you have the opportunity to experience Arabisk, go in with appetites and they will gladly take care of you.
Great spot for a tasty meal and a view! The beef/lamb Kababs were very tasty and good value for $$$. Will be back on my next visit to PR!
A must try when you are in PR It was an outstanding experience. We did not expect to find this level of service and food in Prince Rupert. You will try an authentic Mediterranean / Syrian food. Well deserved 5 star in every perspective. Grandma level cooking and reasonably priced. The atmosphere and the setting are amazing.
