Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Nakusp – 2024

We really enjoyed this nine hole golf course just outside of Nakusp. The layout is very forgiving and very walkable. The scenery exceptional. The course was in great condition and the greens were well maintained. Easy parking. Price point very affordable and staff very friendly. A must visit if in the area!

A FYI......the menu online is an old menu and soon to be updated hopefully. The new menu much smaller and there are price changes. The food is excellent as well as the service...no complaints.

What an absolute gem! It was our first time there and from the moment we got there we were greeted by the friendliest staff ever. The golf course was super fun to play, greens in great condition, and the views were gorgeous. Had lunch there as well, and again, the staff were all super friendly and the food was fantastic... best chicken strips I've ever had in my life. Best of all, everything was affordable and reasonably priced. We can't wait to go back!

Yum! N had french toast...large fresh blueberries topped delicious French toast with lashings of maple syrup generously provided. I had corn beef hash - so good! Scrumptious. The coffee was also really good, and the people were all completely lovely and friendly. Highly recommend!

This one really fell flat for me unfortunately. I really disliked the Cheese Burger to the extent I didn't eat it after trying. I also wasn't a fan of the fries although others didn't mind them. The Carrot Cake was good but the portions (icing to cake) held it back. The soup was okay.

Yummy! Ceasar salad was GREAT with the fried capers and lots bacon. Spare rubs are good too. My husband had a beef dip Philly style and loved it.

Jordan and his staff were incredible. We had been in touch weeks before we got there. 60 bikers piled in there. We had preordered weeks in advance to help with a smooth delivery of food. We got in an hour earlier as we made the earlier ferry. Jordan and his staff just took it in stride. We sat all over the place, not in our groups and again they just handled it so well. I was extremely impressed. Great food. Excellent service.

This is the second time I've eaten here, just a small meal of 3 beef tacos. Flavourful and good range of hot sauces available, from mild to medium heat. I picked off the cilantro - just don't care for it. Small space, and wait staff was attentive and quick for the quiet time of walking in for a late meal around 7 pm. She provided extra napkins without asking, which is awesome! I'm a fan of the music being played, and the decor. Last visit I tried a salad and it was very good from what I remember. The mocktail the server created that visit was pretty fine, too.

The best turkey & cranberry on Kaiser bun sandwich I've ever had! Very fresh and delicious, not to mention a lovely soft bun. They're a lovely little place to eat at when in town.

This Deli is first class! Not only is the food fresh and delicious (such a pleasant surprise to have real turkey and real beef in these delicious sandwiches we ordered)- but the owners and the staff are incredibly accommodating. I called from Calgary to arrange a pick up order for our family group that was performing some work on a house just outside of town- The people at Cutrite were lovely on the phone, and prepared a large order of Sandwiches, Soup, Salads, Baked good and Cold drinks for our hungry group- (Which they raved about) The owner even delivered the order-- even though they do not usually have enough people to provide that service. They went above and beyond and really made everyone's day. I will forever be a customer! Thank you Cutrite Meats!

Eclectic and friendly little cafe with a huge variety of drinks and homemade baked goods. Real food - the muffins are huge and filling, moist on the inside and perfect crust on the outside. There were 2 cinnamon buns left, which aren't always an option, but my boys gobbled them up before I could get a picture. Frappe actually tasted like coffee instead of an overload of sugar, so if you want it sweet request a syrup addition.

When I arrived in Nakusp, I was looking for a place that I could regularly get my morning coffee at. I happen to come across this little shop. I walked in and was greeted by wonderful friendly smile. I got a coffee and a treat called a chocolate avalanche. The next day I went back, I wanted to see if the service was consistent. It was. This time it was a different barista but still had that wonderful friendly smile. They both were polite, courteous and genuine. They gave the home feeling. I was hooked. I regularly visited and came to know the cooking which for the most part is done inhouse. I have come to know the staff, Kenya, Maia and Linda. The service makes you feel at home, and the cooking enhances the home feeling. Thank you to all 3 of you for the exceptional service. Everyone should visit at least once, gaureteed you'll get hooked like I did.

The food here is good for the price, but I’ve had many bad interactions with the owner. She’s quite rude and Karen-like. I won’t be stopping in here again.

Visited as our first stop back in town after a few years, and we weren't disappointed. The shakes were fantastic!! So thick and flavourful.

We got burgers, chicken strips, fries and milkshakes. Burgers were good, chicken was ok, fries weren't nice at all and the milkshakes were really good. Service was ok, girl at the counter was clearly not impressed I didn't tip, but I did just spend $109 on what should have been $50 at McDonald's. Was impressed their fries were so bad too, like how do you screw that up? Don't expect much on the overpriced food. But the Milkshakes were awesome!!!

Staying at plenty of campground across Canada this one was the most memorable, and beautiful for me. Surrounded by mountains. And on clear lake. Everything was reasonable. The staff were so welcoming and informative. The pit-toilet actually had deodorizer or a smelly thing in there, I never knew out houses could smell good! You could leave stuff at the beach without any worries!

Magical! Felt almost tropical...Well maintained, very conscientious fellow campers lots of families with kids (& kids making new best friends), amazing views of the lake (try to reserve the lakeside spots you get to wake up to green and blue bands of lake color and light sand!) We were in a double spot with friends, which was perfect for us. Nice and clean, renovated (with nice-smelling cedar!) front campground reception office, clean and new outhouses, drinking water and dishwater dump stations conveniently located near most campsites, paved paths excellent for kids on bikes and rollerblades. The beach is huge!!! very soft sand beach that takes your breath away. It's almost a tropical feel. Silty, squishy sand getting in and out of the ly a soul on it and views to take yourlake. Top inch or 2 is warm water but the rest is quite cool; still, it's refreshing! See you there next time!!!! Edit: forgot to add one small negative. You do hear the occasional car passing by on hwy6 (which wasn't busy when we were there mid-August), as the campground is not far from the road. (So aim for booking a spot far from the road). If you don't like hearing cars when camping, Blanket Creek Prov campground farther north nearer to Revelstoke is far from the road and also truly amazing (although aim for a May visit there, when the river is beautiful and wide (& before the mosquitos are too bad. )

Had a great time here amidst sunshine and rain. Campsite was flat. Picnic table looked new. Hot showers, but beware of sensor light turning off every 4 minutes. Located close to Nakusp where grocery store is open 8am to 8pm.

We visit Nakusp every summer and we always seem to find some food treasure at a great price. Yesterday I spotted crab and shrimp stuffed Sole fillets in the freezer section for $4.99 each. They were absolutely delicious high end resteraunt quality. Thanks for being there. Last week my wife bought 2 roasting chickens for a great bargain.

Lady made my friend pay full price instead of the price advertised for more member. after she ignored us about giving are more card number. Legal robbery.

Glad to have this store in town, open 8am to 8pm. Serves tourists like me just fine.

The tavern far exceeded our expectations with delicious food, cold drinks and great service. The dining room is so cozy; it feels like we were eating at a friend’s house. We had lamb shank, Kootenay bowl and 2 helpings of agedashi tofu. It’s a gem.

The place looks so new and modern!, the staff was really kind!, we didn’t have a reservation but they gave us a table immediately, we order calamari, soup of the day, fish tacos, schnitzel, a glass of wine and a root beer, everything was great!, we spent around 93 cad, they have clean restrooms and dinner options!, also an area like a bar where you can play and chat with friends!

Oh baby, it’s Coffee Daddy here, and let me tell ya, the Mountain Top Cafe in Nakusp is the real brew-mance I’ve been searching for. The cortado? Smooth, rich, and hotter than a Tim Hortons on fire—which, honestly, would be an improvement on their usual vibe. This place is adorable, with just the right dash of mountain charm, and the dude running it? Cool as ice, but serving coffee that’s pure warmth. I’d bet even that nice old Asian guy who passed out atop Coit Tower last year would perk right up with a sip of this magic. Five stars for Mountain Top Cafe—where coffee dreams come true, and Coffee Daddy’s heart is forever steeped in love. ☕️

Most importantly... a beautiful, yet shy dog greeting Great oat milk latte with Oso Negro coffee, yum! Bags of coffee beans for sale as well. Very kind owner & even gluten free scone & muffin option! Great little spot! Love!

Awesome place, nice staff, quick service, they have milk alternatives, cozy and friendly vibes. unique looks form outside and inside, a bit pricy compared to Timmy or Starbucks for the coffee size I got but the coffee was really tasty and rich. Will visit again during my stay in Nakusp.
