Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Burns Lake – 2024

I go here whenever I'm in Burns Lake because it's quick healthy food at a good price. Whether I'm stopping in only the way through or working in Burns Lake for the day, it's been many years and they've never let me down!

Honestly an amazing subway. I've had spiritual experiences in Quiznos' before, but never Subway... until now! My sandwich artist could rival Picasso in terms of elagence. He toasted my bread to perfection, and even gave me an extra slice of cheese. Amazing subway experience, couldn't recommend more, even though the food isn't that good.

When I was being served the entire time the four people working there were talking to each other in a language I do not understand ,I felt that were talking about me . did not even stop talking to say ,have a good day ,just handed me my sandwich with out looking a me.

if you wanna eat here, short answer; don’t. me and my boyfriend were stopping through town for a place to eat and we saw this place and thought why not. we ordered pepperoni pizza individual slices and a greek salad, cost me almost $30. we went outside for fresh air and this lady comes up to us and says “are you guys ordering here?”, we said yes. she didn’t hesitate to say “there’s a place elsewhere in town that’s way better than this one”. should’ve listened to her, but at that point it was too late, i had already paid and thought “well maybe it isn’t too bad”. I WAS WRONG. as soon as my boyfriend and i went on the road again we ate the food. i had the greek salad and he had the pepperoni pizzas (i ordered only the 1 slice of pizza), he thought it wasn’t great overall, but he still ate it. when i had the greek salad, there were too many black olives. i don’t mind black olives but 1/2 of it was black olives, which is already way too much. then i tried the pizza, and oh god no. i only had one bite and i immediately started to feel queasy. the cheese was chewy and hard at the same time, the dough was a weird consistency, and the pepperoni wasn’t cooked enough. still feeling nauseous after all that. so if you wanna go to another pizza place, do it. save your money.

Ordered Hawaiian with extra cheese, extra sauce, add mushrooms, and in smaller containers to fit in my hotel mini fridge. They gave me exactly that, delivered within the estimated window, and the delivery person was polite and friendly. Customer service a solid 5/5. As for the pizza itself. The sauce was a little on the bland side, and the inner crust was already getting soggy when I got it, but those are my only complaints. The pizza came nice and hot, Also There's not many pizzas I'm willing to eat the outer crust of, but this was pretty good for crust, and they put plenty of cheese and sauce on, so I give the pizza a 4/5. Would recommend and buy/eat again.

They were closed when I stopped through but the owners were awesome and nice. Gave my dog a treat and had a nice chat.

My husband loves seafood particularly shrimp. After having the prawns here he didn't eat prawns for 2 months. That's how bad it was. Tasted like plastic. Well never go back again.

We saw the 3 stars, but we wanted to give them a try. Unfortunately, we know why it has poor stars. Chicken Chapsuey was terrible The fried rice was not fried rice It was just plain heated rice. We will not be back. Save your money. I'm telling y'all. And very very expensive! One of the dishes was like 62 dollars!

Side of the highway, dinner was great. Real Chinese food with real Chinese people. So nice and they even managed to be so nice my son thought they were family.

Amazing Service and food quality. Samita does an awesome job providing the right drinks and food on time. Staff is do hardworking providing the order within minutes.

Kamal and all the filipinos working here are always happy and friendly. Food and coffee is always fresh :) great establishment in Burns Lake!

Had the best peppercorn brandy steak of my life here. It beats places that charge 3x as much. Would defiantly return for it. Service was very poor. Nobody ask if I wanted more water. Nobody asked if the food was ok. And my starter salad came after my steak. They need to really step up the server game. I also saw the gentleman who works at the counter in the hotel walk into the kitchen and help an elderly lady put away clean dishes. Buddy did not wash his hands, or wear an apron. Sketched me out quite a bit.

My potatoes were soggy, pancakes were thick and grainy, omeletewas poorly made, and all the portions were very small! Would not recommend. Also took over half an hour to get our food.

I’ve been here for the first time yesterday and the food was incredible! I got the “punjabi fish curry” mild and I will surely be going there more times to try different dishes! I’m not a pro in Indian food, but I think I can say that their food is 100% authentic. Service was quick and very friendly! 10/10 recommended P.s: this is a picture of their new menu! And the food was smelling so good that no one wanted to wait for the pictures lol P.s 2: If you have low spicy tolerance try asking for it with no spicy, the mild was almost too spicy for me but it was still delicious and I’ll be going there enough to build up some tolerance

The dinner today was crushed samosas in a most delicious and refreshing mixture of spices and yogurt. I thought that I was not very hungry when I first arrived, but when this beautiful and plentiful dish was placed before me, it disappeared magically. I don't know what happened and will return another day to have this again. Thank you, I am satisfied and happy. Only 5 stars when more should be rewarded!

I had the butter chicken with a hot spice. It was very good and had an authentic flavor. The samosas were very hot to the touch, had great seasoning and a great spice blend. These are definitely some of the better ones I have tried. The garlic naan was very fresh and was fantastic. Exactly how I want it for texture and flavor. Would definitely return.

China moon is a restaurant that delivers what it says. You wanted Chinese takeout? It provides. It’s not the amazing, but you were ordering Chinese takeout and that’s what you got.

Ordering takeout from China Moon in Burns Lake felt like expecting a warm embrace, but receiving just a polite nod. While the aromas were inviting, like a lantern’s glow, the flavours didn't quite live up to the promise, leaving the experience more ordinary than exceptional. The fried rice was a canvas that seemed to have lost some of its vibrant colours, with the grains slightly overcooked and blending into the background instead of popping with flavor. And the spring rolls? Golden and delicate, but after the journey home, they had lost their crispness, more soggy than satisfying—a hidden treasure that, unfortunately, stayed hidden. China Moon’s takeout felt more like a dimmed version of what could have been a rich, flavourful experience, leaving me wishing for more light from this lantern. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the shining beacon of Chinese takeout I had hoped for.

I gave overall Two stars and that’s being generous. Small portions. Very greasy egg roll could’ve dumped the oil off the plate. Have never seen actual batter deep fried pork. Normally a light dusting of corn starch. Hard pass do your selves a favour. Waitress was nice about the only positive.

Fantastic sandwiches and deli plates. This is sort of the place that you just sort of happily stumble upon when your hungry. With soup, salsa, deli plates, meat plates, desserts, drinks, tea, and sadwiches of all kinds, it has lots of different healthy options. Wheelchair access. Plenty of room. All around great place to eat after shopping.

Got the saddest BLT sandwich I have ever seen from here today. There was more bread than toppings. One piece of bacon, broken in half to make it look like two, a couple tiny slices of tomato and such a small amount of lettuce that I had to open the sandwich to see if it was actually there. To make up for the skimpy amount of sandwich toppings, it was drowning in an excessive amount of mayo. It's the first time I have had to take a restaurant sandwich home to add toppings of my own. This used to be my favorite sandwich stop, but after the sandwich I recieved today I don't intend on ever returning.

Excellent sandwiches but my go-to sandwich is a BLT but they cannot cook more bacon later in the day usually bacon is all gone by the time I go there which is 2:00 ish

If you are a female and travel from the Southside, make sure you don't have to go the bathroom. The mall manager has closed down/ locked up the female public bathrooms which always smelled anyway. The businesses within the mall are fine it's the building that needs better management.

Needs a lot of maintenance done. People (polite way to put it), interfering with customers going to and from shopping, (beggars, and vagrants) bothering customers for change, etc. It would be nice to be able to walk in without harassment. Wasn't a pleasant experience at all. People should not have to be uncomfortable trying to buy groceries.

Cute small town mall with plenty of personality!! The bakery was absolutely amazing, filled to the brim with a huge assortment of doughnuts and pastries. The save on was a very small grocery store, lacking a deli department but was well stocked with everything else you could need. The electronic store looked like a fun place to go, I didn't have time due to eating all the doughnuts in the bakery next door.

We just had our staff Christmas party last night, and as always, the food was amazing!!! The service is always wonderful! We enjoy going here because the staff is always friendly and the food is always consistently amazing!! Totally recommend!

This place is like your favorite comfy sweater: familiar, reliable, and perfect for a no-frills meal. While it might not win any awards for ambience (think classic pub décor, not chic gastropub), the food is solid pub fare – think juicy burgers, crispy fries, and wings that won't disappoint. The Caesar salad was actually pretty badass, and the steak Neptune was mediocre (Cajun has no business on seafood). Plus, with friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere, it's a great spot to unwind after a long day wrangling moose (or, you know, tamer Burns Lake activities). So, if you're looking for a casual place to grab a good bite and a beer without any surprises, then The Office Pub & Grill might just be your new after-work hangout.
