Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Leamington – 2024

Thirteen at the inn is a rare true gem. The food is delectable, the atmosphere is cozy & inviting and the staff is incredibly attentive. Not to mention the drinks were top notch. We had our wedding there we love it so much. -Everything was flawless! I have no doubt in my mind that this is a perfect restaurant for a tasty dinner, a small gathering or an event. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to all of the team at Thirteen you always make us feel right at home. :)

Thirteen at the Imn is a complete surprise. When you walk downstairs from. The Seacliff Inn, you hear the voice in your head saying, "Don't go here. This is where the character gets murdered in every horror movie!' Then you open the door to one of the most surprisingly lovely places you've eaten. The menu has great choices, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the serving team is super lovely. Leamington is the tomato capital of Canada, and it shows in the salad. As Eve Aranoff says, "A tomato really needs to taste like a tomato!" Go, just go.

We were a large group of boaters in for a few nights. The waitress handled the group well. I had the salad with the honey vinaigrette and blue cheese. It was outstanding. Wonder if you would share that recipe?

I highly recommend avoiding this franchise. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich with a baked potato. The only real issue was the chicken breast was missing the chicken portion. It's not a real chicken breast, it's the crap mixed with soy. No one in their right mind should eat that stuff. Also, the wings are the precooked frozen wings. You can taste the saline solution in the meat. Lastly and definitely not least, note the picture. "Honest to goodness fee"? I asked about it. I was told "it is to help offset the low cost of the menu items". I kid you not. Mind you, I didn't read anywhere that there is a heads-up about this anywhere in the menu or posted somewhere. Very slimy! It's like going to Niagara Falls and having to pay a tourism fee. Lol

Steak n lobster tail $ 25.00. Was so tender n yummy oh my gosh, it was the best. So affordable.

The reason behind my 2 star review is the mandatory 35% tip for large groups. The waitress told me it was mandatory but still needed me to consent to the tip which I found suspect. However, I quickly agreed because of the state of my stomach, I was hungry. I am not opposed to tipping, but I find the culture behind it is becoming toxic. Tipping should be reflective of quality of service someone receives. Anyways, enough of my banter, the service was ok, and considering the size of the group the food came out relatively quick, and the prices were also reasonable. I would recommend it for small groups, but if you are a large group they will be asking you to consent to a mandatory tip. I know, the two words should not be in the same sentence.

This was a nice place to have authentic Mexican tacos. The only thing which stood out was the robotic waiter who brought food to one table. We got here after 8 as it was one of the few places opened at the time. The place was clean and had Mexican show playing on the TV. Menu had a variety of options, but the special was only for Pork tacos. Needless to say there were variety of other options if pork isn’t your thing. Tacos were good, but nothing stood out other than it’s a totally higher level than Taco Bell’s taco.

Probably the best mexican food in Leamington. The tostados are top notch, the beef tacos are delish and the tacos birria are amazing. The sauces add a nice amount of spice and flavour as well. The restaurant is always clean with lots of seating. The parking lot is only a short distance away with lots of spots with extra accessible parking spots. Love the new (robot) “waiter”. Good prices for the amount of food you get and the quality.

Stepping into Hot Tacos feels like being transported to the vibrant streets of Mexico City. The lively ambiance, adorned with colorful decor and lively music, sets the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the birria broth, a flavorful concoction that warmed both the body and soul. Rich and aromatic, each spoonful offered a tantalizing burst of spices and savory goodness. While my friends raved about the tacos, I opted to try the octopus dish. While the flavors were decent, I found the texture to be a bit tough and the seasoning slightly too salty for my taste. With a bit of fine-tuning, it could become a standout dish on the menu. Despite the minor hiccup with the octopus, my overall dining experience at this location was enjoyable. The attentive service and inviting ambiance combined with the delicious birria broth make it a restaurant worth returning to for another taste of Mexico’s culinary delights.

Excellent service and delicious food. Coffee was pretty good too. I love that they didn’t overload me with too many potatoes.

I love this place! It's got a great retro feel, great service and most importantly the food is delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, was too full and had to bring dessert home! The portions are large, I barely finished my soup & salad. To top it all off the owner is a really good dude and that just makes the whole experience better. I absolutely recommend that you check this place out!

Simply great fast friendly service . Egg silent food. Great price. Breakfast was delicious would recommend coming here anytime. Come with your family friends or just by yourself.

First time in Leamington and we had dinner here. We came on a Monday and there wasn’t many people for dinner. Parking is available, but confusing as it’s next to the Tim Hortons. Waitress was really nice and pleasant to chat with and she also helped us find places in the area to visit. A lot of seafood options and we chose different items from the menu. Fish and chips were nice as there wasn’t too much batter. Fish tacos were also good with lots of toppings. The pan seared fish however had too much oil and tasted ok. Overall we rested the place 3.5 as we felt the food didn’t taste as good as it looked. The popcorn shrimps were overly crispy and lost all shrimps flavour and texture.

Just came in the other day. The portions were huge. The waitress was very nice and efficient considering there were filling up quickly. I'll definitely be back again

Regular fare fish and chips spot. We tried the Joey special (Pollock, popcorn shrimp and fries), and the recommended chicken burger. The burger is absolutely huge, with two chicken thigh pieces! Tasted alright, but I've had better. Same with the fish and chips. Nothing to write home about unfortunately. Service was great and the food came out quickly.

Not only did they welcome our furry travel companion on their patio with open arms (and a water bowl!), but the food was downright delicious. We're talking portions that could satisfy a lumberjack and flavors that'll have your tastebuds doing the cha-cha. Speaking of tastebuds, Jose's menu is a culinary adventure, with something for every palate. Whether you're craving classic comfort food, sizzling fajitas, or fresh seafood, they've got you covered. And the atmosphere? Oh boy, it's a vibe. The interior is a mix of cozy booths, lively bar seating, and big screens perfect for catching the game. The patio is where the magic happens – think fire tables, comfy couches, and lights creating a warm, inviting glow. So, if you're cruising through Leamington with your four-legged friend, do yourself a favor and make a pit stop at Jose's. You'll leave with a full belly, a happy pup, and memories that'll last longer than your dog's begging for table scraps.

The wife and I had an amazing time. We had a server by the name of Kristi. She was wonderful, came by our table often but wasn't annoying. (Didn't talk to me when I had food in my mouth.) A little dark, wish it was a tad brighter. But i suppose that was to set the mood. Overall pleasent experience and would definitely dine there again. 10 out of 10.

Our first time visiting Jose's Bar and Grill yesterday and we sat in the bar side to enjoy a spot of late lunch. I ordered orange pekoe tea and I was so relieved when it came out HOT! Props to Jose's for not serving lukewarm tea as others do! We ordered the spinach dip for starters and it was delicious along with the pitas. My main was the Carlton salad with a vinaigrette, a large plate with a mountain of Spring greens and ample toppings. Side note - mandarin oranges with feta on is a taste sensation, wow wow wow. 10/10 recommend the Carlton salad. Healthy, filling and full of flavour. I used the washrooms before we left and as the pictures show, it's very nice in there and clean too. I love a clean washroom so thank you for that! Overall great experience and will happily return. Love Rays. Ribs,ribs,ribs. Yes they have other good food but I love the ribs! One tiny suggestion. More beans,no reason to skimp on them. Regular crowd and I can see why.Recommended!

We came to Leamington from Ohio for a boat visit. We were limited on restaurant options due to no car. We found Rays and ended up eating there twice. I admit we were skeptical at first as the inside looked chaotic. The food was amazing. We had the artichoke dip which was AMAZING. For meals we had the ribs, Chicken sandwich and the chicken (fried). I highly recommend Rays.

On their site, they say that food can be delivered, so I ordered some chicken wings and fries, costing $30 plus taxes. Five minutes later, I realized I was never given an option to give them my address and the order for delivery was actually for pick up. We tried calling them to switch it to delivery, but it went to voice mail. We left a message, but they never responded. I thought that I must have missed an option for delivery, so I started another fake order on their site just to look around. Nope! There is no option on their site for delivery, even though it says at the top of the site that you can have it delivered. That's why this review is a 2. Because they lied. I thought about giving it a 3 if the food was good enough, and it IS good, but I'm still giving it a two because the only reason we made the order in the first place was specifically because we DIDN'T want to go out, but had to anyway as I had already paid. If you are going to offer delivery, then deliver! Now as I said, the food was good (though pricy) and the restaurant itself looked really nice. I can see myself going back if I ever get another craving for what they sell, but they need to fix their site and either give an option for delivery, or stop saying they deliver.

This is a great restaurant for casual dining. My husband and I enjoyed a couple of breakfast sandwiches (the western and the BEC) and we were very satisfied. Prices were very affordable. Service was excellent. Restaurant appeared clean and tidy

Always a great experience here. Waitress was amazing. Coffee was hot and I never saw the bottom of my cup, . Food came fast, was hot and delicious Highly recommend.

Last time we went there one of the old staff was too rude and have an attitude. Their food is kinda okay tho but the staff is not friendly and kind. Not gonna go back. Anyways the Pho Windsor is perfect and their food is amazing.

Ordered 56 with chicken but the online menu didn’t mention it was garnished with peanuts :( I do have an allergy and I should have asked but I’m hoping they see this and take it into consideration. Thanks! Food and service was otherwise amazing.

Can’t get any more authentic Portuguese food than this. Very reasonable prices for large portions. Great tasting food.

The Club Restaurant now open for breakfast on Sunday’s. Traditional breakfast dishes with a few twists. Come try it out with their quick service. And don’t forget they have espresso and cappuccinos. Update: Just there this Saturday and ate the best Bacalhau Assado. If you haven’t tried this dish yet, you must. Update.: The Club has a new menu and new staff. They are doing an amazing job. The bacalhau a casa is amazing. And if they have the ceviche as an appetizer try it you won’t be disappointed.

Had a nice banquet family style dinner for a fundraiser tonight. Pasta, salad, roasted chicken with mixed vegetables and small potatoes. A help yourself dessert table was also made available with coffee n tea.

We just came from Point Pelee and I was craving Mexican and this place did not disappoint!! It was affordable, the portion was huge and it was quick, and just because it was quick, doesn't mean the quality was low. It was DELICIOUS!! Will go back.

Love the food. Good veg options. The best thing is you can get Mexican made drinks, especially coke in the glass bottle.

Great place I'm glad I tried it out , the tacos were 5 star, I had the asada and al pastor , good prices ,staff and atmosphere will return. (Been there many times and very pleased with everything) Would recommend! One of the best in the area

Decent little place in downtown Leamington. The service was terrible. We had to get up ask for menus and for drinks and to order. Not once did our server come to us. She may be the owner. As for being authentic, it may be for Canada but I lived in California for 20 yrs so that is my gauge on its authenticity. The chips are good but the salsa may be too spicy for some. I had a beef burrito which was tasty but definitely nothing special. Prices are above average for what you get.

UPDATE WAS The Best Tacos EVER NOT ANYMORE !!!!! Years later and I still love ❤️ Tacos Tony ❤️ I drive almost 2 hours for these, Great prices , service, and did I say the BEST DAM tacos ever. UPDATE I have been going here for years driving almost 2 hours and I have to say I won't be back prices have gone up and tacos are smaller meaning less meat and toppings, shame they where great, not any more I won't be back. Before and after picks below sad so sad. Dear owner, it's not the tray you put them on its the fact that there is way less meat and toppings look at the photos I posted. Update 06-08-2024 Was back in to see if anything change and it was worse had 4 tacos one was ok the other 3 had little to no meat, served on a little white plate now as seen in photo, so sad they used to be good With so many other good places in town they really need to make some changes and get the 2 brothers back working there !!!

Good music. Great food. Reasonable prices. Very flavourful. A definite leamington classic. A must eat!

The cheese balls were great!! I forget the proper name but it had honeycomb on them and there was walnuts and goat cheese inside. They were called honey goat cheese bombs I believe. The perch was also very good!! My bf and I split a plate because it was so much food. Cute little place, old building.

Deeelicious lake perch and fries!! Perch was seasoned and fried perfectly The sides I had were fries and coleslaw and both were good. My wife had the mild wings. Bbq sauce needed more flavor for her. Topped the meal off with a slice of cheesecake. They didn't have Cheryl topping or whipped cream but it was still very good. Creamy with a deep vanilla bean flavor. Our server Maddie was awesome!! Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and wines! We will definitely return whenever we come to Leamington.

Everything about this place was just perfect. The spinach dip was piping hot in its own cast skillet, delish with pitas. Sandwiches and salad were amazing served with beer from our favorite brewery in this area. The atmosphere was right up our alley including the moose on the wall, choice of house music and really cool upper level. Our service was right on point, never waited for anything and never felt rushed. We were passing through and will be sure to come back our next time in town.

Fresh from scratch everything. Generous portions, great vegetables with the meals. The Greek salad that comes with the dinner is full of tomatoes and peppers, just like at a home. Staff is very polite and friendly. They do not pressure you to get the table free which is a very nice change compared to other places Give it a try, reservations required for the weekend.

I'm not good at writing, but the Moonlight restaurant and the family that runs it deserve a few words. A very good family atmosphere so that we ourselves feel like part of that family. There is no need to talk about the food, it is really extraordinary. we have been here in Leamington for the third week and I can say that they are the best restaurant in town. All praise.

Absolutely delightful! I've been craving seafood, especially shrimp managed to stop in at lunch time to order Linguine di mare to go. I was happily shocked by the elegant and comfortable atmosphere! It's very inviting and I love the layout. I will be back for a proper dinner someday. My lunch didn't disappoint! It's delicious. And way more than I can finish on my own. I highly recommend! Please don't mind my photos. I dug into it before remembering to take pics. This is what happens when I'm hungry and encounter great food.
