Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Creston – 2024

The crepes are delicious!! My kids liked the sweet ones and we enjoyed the savoury. The little cafe is cute and it's pretty easy to get to as it is close to the highway. It did take longer to get the food. The ingredients are fresh.

What a fantastic place to make a pitstop in your travels. Everything is homemade and delicious. There are lots of gluten-free options. We highly recommend the gluten-free crêpes especially the one with pear jam and pistachio ice cream. The service is personal and friendly and the coffee is very good. Plus you can enjoy the lovely little yard at the back with a pear tree!

Well I have to say my visit here for the first time was a surprise. I have been living here for a year and have been meaning to try it. My mom and I were out running errands and stopped by for breakfast. When we walked in, it was a delightful burst of yellow with a vintage farmhouse vibe. I was all eyes scouring the chalk board for specials and looking at all the vintage pictures and collectibles. The restaurant was packed but there were two free tables, and most of the seated tables had their food already, so we sat down. Within 10 minutes of getting there, those guests eating had paid and left, leaving 3 tables including us. we were served our coffees quickly and put in our orders. Some highlights worth mentioning is the parking in the back. The front parking lot is tiny but there is lots around back. The other delight was the gluten free options. i was able to have toast for the first time since starting keto. I got a two-egg omelette and my mom got the 2-2-2 which was 2 egg 2 bacon 2 toast. We both enjoyed our meals. So why 4 stars instead of 5? We waited 45 minutes for our meal from the time we ordered. It was worth the wait and they may have been short staffed, but we were definitely wowed by a great meal, friendly staff and a cheery atmosphere.

Went there to get a Caesar salad. Lady on the phone said the large was a large and enough to eat for dinner. "Large" chicken Caesar salad pictured below. $21. Their competitor down the streets is triple the size for the same price. $21. Same amount of chicken also. Server was pretty annoyed that I returned the salad but man, I know the economy is rough but $21 for a handful of salad with chicken on top? At least give me enough to feed myself lol Edit: in response to your response, yes I'm aware you re-measured it, I'm just not impressed with only "quite a handful" of salad for $21. Especially when you can get the same thing for the same price at Jimmy's, with over twice the romaine (which is the cheapest part of the salad!). Just put more romaine in and put it in a square ToGo, and it would be a reasonable amount for $21. Literally my only complaint. I have included a picture of the $21 salad from Jimmy's as the second photo. This is a fair amount of salad for $21.

This is a fun laid back restaurant. We were only up here for the day, and stopped in for an early dinner. The service was good, music was fun and lively, and the food and drinks were delicious. I recommend eating here if you have the chance.

Waitress was terrible. First time in my life I have left a restaurant. The food looked amazing, the atmosphere was too. Wasn’t very busy. Took 10 minutes to get a coffee and tea without the cream and sugar I asked for. Waited 5 more minutes for that. Didn’t get a spoon to stir the coffee. Coffee had lipstick (not mine) on the rim Asked for a replacement-waited and never got one. Left the restaurant

This local coffee shop is a hidden gem! The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed morning or an afternoon work session. The coffee is rich and well-crafted, with plenty of options for both traditional and adventurous tastes. The staff is always friendly and happy to offer recommendations. Plus, the pastries are fresh and delicious! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Very nice atmosphere and good staff but man my mango-banana smoothie was more like vanilla ice cream with the hint of banana. Very disappointing. The purple rain was really good though. Nice out door area.

Stop for lunch last week girls were great.the food was the worst ever fish extremely over cooked. Hubby's burger was dry fries were cold My fish was exchanged but to late to not have this review done. I tipped our server not her fault such s disappointment because other reviews were good one off our list for traveling through Creston

Stopped by for lunch today. Sat outside as we had our dog with us. Service was awesome! Staff brought our dog some treats and a bucket of water which was much appreciated. Food was good. Meals arrived quickly. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in while travelling I’m on a restricted diet and my grandson eats like a bird we wanted to share something and the waitress informs us there would be a $3 charge for sharing!!!! My grandson was shocked and so we had to order something else I didn’t get to eat and some of his meal was waisted after we left we’ve talk to lots of truckers rvers and no one has ever herd of such a pathetic up charge for something that does t cost them anything just to people sharing a meal I feel sorry for seniors who like to share a meal or 2 kids or people like me with a medical Condition I will continue to spread the word To everyone who travels on the route and to all the RV sites I belong to this is so wrong the prices where all ready high enough why don’t need to gouge!!

Tim's is a cute little roadside stop. We had the halibut & cod with chips. The food was amazing with generous portions. I felt it was better than Vancouver Island. The service was fantastic. A must stop when passing thru.

He will tell you he is really good at his job....and he would be right. The fish and chips were killer But I am telling the chicken wings were some of the best I have ever had

My wife and kids and I ate here on our way through town the other day. It's a small local business with a...boatload of charm and personality. The owner is very kind and has a great sense of humor. As for the food, it's absolutely delicious and the portion sizes are huge! Do be aware that because of the size of the restaurant, seating is limited! So either get there early, opt for outside seating, or take your food home with you. Definitely worth a shot!

We were traveling through and stopped by late Saturday morning a quick bite. Our server was so sweet and nice it made for a really pleasant experience. 3 of us ordered meals. One of our party has a dairy allergy, and they were able to accommodate his preferences. I had a burger, and my wife ordered the stack of pancakes. All the meals turned out as expected. I asked for vinigar for my fries, and the server brought both white and malt vingar! The restaurant was very clean, the atmosphere was calm, and the bathrooms were very clean. Really neat touch that the bathrooms are individualized. 2 male and 2 female. We will definitely stop by here again!

Every time I have gone to this Ricky’s they manage to mess up the order. For this particular order, you could imagine the disappointment when we ordered what was pictured in the menu on the left for take-out, and got home and opened the embarrassment on the right. When I contacted them about the lack of berries, whipped cream/presentation, they did nothing and told me the manager would call me, they never did. This was also a breakfast for my partners birthday that I had picked up so I was very disappointed with the mixed up order and terrible customer service. The time before this, I had ordered a dish for breakfast that contained avocados, I wanted the dish SOLELY because it came with avocado, and they presented the wrong order and it had no avocado. I didn’t care at the time but after THIS, this was the last straw. I refuse to ever eat here again and I make sure to tell everyone about it! I see that the “owner” has replied to my review. I would appreciate if they were looking to rectify the situation, but they are completely lying in their reply as there were no extra berries/cream packaged separately and they NEVER offered a free dessert. Maybe they have this interaction confused with another one because I’m positive this happens often! Nice response trying to cover your own but your team got the order wrong and didn’t even offer to make a new one in it’s place. All I received was plain French toast with no toppings. Their reply is a lie.

Love the Calafresco salad. It would be nice if your to go version was as big and beautiful as what you get in the restaurant. To go box not even half full of salad. For 22 $ this should be a lot bigger and full of fresh vegetables and feta. Pretty disappointing. Depends on the cook who is working whether you get your moneys worth or not. Seems to be hit and miss.

Really outstanding restaurant with real and authentic Taiwanese and other Asian food. We had the Taiwanese beef noodles soup and it was as good as other great restaurants in Taipei. The noodles were great and made in house but the beef was sooo tender that it melted in my mouth!! The green onion pancake was also delicious and wonderful. We also had the pad Thai which tasted great. This is a great place and not to be missed. The owners are Taiwanese and super friendly.

My wife and I order a few dishes from here and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food really was. The fried noodles and rice were amazing! We also ordered the Tom Yum in the photo. The owner served us and was very kind. Will come again!

Very pleasant surprise!!! I wasn’t expecting much from this small town Thai restaurant and wow was I wrong. Excellent food and service. We had Roti with curry sauce appetizer, cashew stir fry and railway fried rice and a Thai brownie with ice cream for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious and the portions were perfect. Highly recommend the Busaba Thai restaurant in Creston!!!

I ordered the red curry, and it was really good . The service was also very friendly. I would absolutely recommend and will request again.

I have been coming to this place from past 4 years and they never ever disappointed me but today when I went there again to grab a slice of pizza, I could tell that slice size has been smaller and toppings and cheese is not loaded the way it use to be. Got to know from someone that owner has been changed and now I know why its not like the way it used to be. It was cold slice and was sitting there who knows for how long. Previous owner would never serve any slice thats been sitting there for that long. I hope they will work on this and have better service. East indian girl should not leave any comment when I was having a nice talk with the girl who was helping me with the slice. Thats rude if she understands the customer service.

After being in Creston for 18 years this was our first time ordering from here. My son and family came for the weekend so I ordered a Hawaiian and Meat lovers both 16 inch and it feed 4 adults and 2 children 12 and 14 with lots left for lunch the next day. The comments from all were "great pizza".

I am impressed, very good pizza, wings are excellent. Big and juicy, the ceaser is made to perfection, no brown lettuce and not mixed prematurely, to retain is crispness and freshness... good job guys and gals, I am from outta province, very impressed, The delivery driver was friendly and polite. Keep up the good work.

Highly recommend. Ate here twice within a week, food was excellent both times. Tried the chicken nest and the bibimbob bowl, both delicious. One of our group had the chicken rice, another had yam fries and chicken. They offer gluten free options, which was a very nice surprise... even for the fried chicken. They do get super busy so cross contamination will most likely be issue if you are very sensitive and the fried chicken will be in the same frier as regular. Portions are large. Service is good and all staff are friendly and helpful but it's definitely slows down as they get busy. When it fills up it is also very loud. Obviously they can't control the volume of individuals but this is not a place if you want quiet conversation.

My partner and I were in Creston BC and hungry for a tasty lunch. I googled some of the restaurants in town and came across Basaks. I walked in, not knowing what I wanted to eat. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and I would have loved to eat inside. However, we were traveling with our dogs, so takeout was our option. It was a toss-up between hamburger or a chickenburger. After a great conversation with the host, I decided on 2 chicken burger meals with salad. I have never been happier with a meal. OMG, the most tasty chicken burger that I have had in my life. The salad just topped it off. The salad was one of the nicest presented and flavourful salads that I have ever ordered. If I could, I would give this place 10 stars. On my way out of the restaurant with our meals, the host replys "see you next time, no one ever just eats here once." Great restaurant with wonderful staff and great flavours. Korean style fried chicken, as good as any big city resto.

Outside patio was quite nice and large. Unfortunately, motorcycle drivers kept feeling the need to rev their bikes as they passed. Service was friendly and quick. I didn’t give 5 stars to service because I included the kitchen in my rating. As for the meal, the chicken Alfredo my wife had was very good. Unfortunately, my fish in my fish and chips was not great. The 2 piece fish came looking very dark. I wasn’t sure if it was overcooked or old oil. I don’t like to send food back so I began eating a piece. When I opened it the fish was hard to find and appeared undercooked and didn’t have much substance to it. I was given 20% off but I would not have presented this fish to a customer had I been working here.

Had some tasty and tender prime rib on Saturday night as their special! It’s a huge delicious meal for $33, and the wild salmon wrapped on pastry was also very good. Service was excellent.

Great pub right on the main drag through town. Food is good, and beer is cold. Had a kokanee gold for a bevy, when in rome. Had the lasagna and it was worth it, and a good sized portion.

Very good food, the chef ‍ brought out different desserts too try for free. I got the the butter chicken, rice and garlic Naan bread. Complements to the chef it was amazing food. Also really friendly people and clean restaurant

I’m giving 4 stars because I think always there is room to improve. The food was delicious I ordered the lamb in coconut sauce , was very tasty , also basmati rice , and garlic naan as sides . The garlic naan bread was oustanding, very savoury, and have some cilantro on it . Overall the food was very good , quick And delicious. Recommended!

Great historic pub. Two of us had dinner, beverages and a tip for $50.00. Great food flavour-the clam chowder was delicious. The service is excellent. We live 2 blocks away and the Kokanee Pub is our favorite take out place as well. Always good. Go, your mouth will thank you!

My husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary last night and had a coupon for 20% off from Creston neighborhood welcome The menu looked good so we thought we would check it out. When we walked in it wasnt very busy but the waitress completely ignored us Didn't even say hi. We waited awhile and then she started cleaning tables so we left. Not impressed and won't be going back

Had an occasion to take my dad out for lunch on his 86th birthday. We opted for The Wee Grill is it was kinda central to all. The Wee Grill offers plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside. It has been a while since I've been and they have really made the place a more inviting location for dining in. The staff are really friendly and very prompt with the service. They also gave the birthday boy a piece of coconut cream pie (his choice) As for the food, fresh, delicious and hot and at fairly decent prices. The gravy on the poutine is homemade and not from a can and it tastes like it. Many restaurants use premade gravy because it's quick and easy, but homemade is always better. The menu has many great options for all and we will be back as there are other things I would like to try.

What a fantastic eatery! We had a date night, and The Wee Grill did not disappoint. The staff were friendly, the fare delicious, and a shared dessert topped of the start to a great evening.

Last time we had tomato soup, calamari rings, burger, Caesar salad and sweets. Coffee ☕️ s just great! French fries are the best in the area: crispy, hot, and not greasy or over salted. The menu has so many options to choose from— really appreciate it. The owner and the personnel (two lovely ladies) were warm, very attentive — truly caring. We also loved the display of beautiful paintings and gorgeous glass artworks by local artists, definitely adds up to the atmosphere… Overall, a very clean place, comfortable seating, soft lighting and nice background music. So happy to discover this little gem in E.K.
