Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Greater Sudbury – 2024

I love a Reuben so I always order one when I see it on a menu. This Reuben was inedible. I could only down two bites. The meat was like no pastrami I have ever eaten. It was mushy and brown/grey in spots. There was no taste. Really bad. The service and atmosphere was fine.

WAS BLOWN AWAY BY OUR SERVER! (If you were working on Nov17 from 7-8:30pm we wish we would have tipped you more!) she made my girlfriend and I very comfortable and was so much fun to interact with! DRINKS WERE AMAZING FOOD WAS AMAZING LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE And the service… READ ABOVE AGAIN! Everything came out in great time and was delicious! My girlfriend absolutely loves this place and I’m starting to see why! WE WILL BE BACK AND THATS A PROMISE!

Was amazing food just wish there were more options for dessert. Great service and oh my gosh the BBQ Pizza was awesome

Tonight myself and my two young boys had such a wonderful experience at the laughing Buddha! We went prior to the Santa Claus parade and not only was the food amazing, the staff was incredible. When the food was brought to our table the person who delivered it had a conversation with my son and nephew and played into their little game. Then, when it was time to pay and leave for the Santa Claus parade, our waitress helped my youngest- aged 2- put on his winter gear to get outside while I paid and gathered my things. These little things truly do not go unnoticed and made my dining experience exceptional. Thank you to the wait staff tonight, I will now gladly choose the Buddha over any other restaurant downtown.

I recently dined at Laughing Buddha restaurant over the weekend and ordered the Peach and Cherry Salad, only to find mold on the peaches. When I brought this to the staff's attention, the server removed my dish but did not offer an apology. She returned with a menu and suggested I choose something else, but mentioned that the kitchen couldn’t expedite my new order. Given that we were headed to a hockey game shortly after dinner and had already waited a considerable amount of time for our first meal, I felt pressed to select something that wouldn’t take long to prepare. I ended up eating my meal alone, as my husband and son had finished theirs by the time my dish arrived. The absence of a proper apology and any form of compensation was disappointing. Overall, I felt that this situation could have been handled much better. Unfortunately, I don’t plan to return to Laughing Buddha in the future.

Truffle fries are so goood, and also they have the deep fried pickles down to a science. Great service, they were able to accommodate our bigger group of people. Would definitely return.

The food was quite good and the restaurant was pretty lively when we were there. I got the lobster ravioli and the lamb shank. Both were very good and quite filling! The tiramisu cake was a bit heavy but that might have been cause I had a big meal prior! Service was lovely and staff was very nice. I'd come back next time I'm in town!

My first time having the pleasure of dining here exceeded my expectations. We had the brie for a starter and the unique blend of flavours complimented each other perfectly. The plate setup was beautifully done which made it all the more special. I had the grilled salmon which was absolutely delicious! Fish was cooked perfectly along with the vegetables which were bursting with flavour. My partner had the burger with a caesar salad instead of fries. He was very pleased with the burger and salad, I had a taste of each myself. I am not a burger (beef) fan but I must say it was very flavourful and I am definitely impressed. I cannot wait to go back and try something else on the menu. The service was amazing as well. We started on the patio but the breeze ended up being a little too cool for me. When asked to be moved it didn't take long for our server to arrive at the table, collect our plates and be escorted to a spot inside the restaurant. My only "complaint" is that I did not realize our server would have been changed and I felt terrible about our first not getting the tip she deserved. Both servers very friendly and accommodating. Definitely is going to be my favourite date night restaurant!

This is a must stop if you're in the big nickel. Might be one of the best Cesar salads I've had, homemade dressing. Perfect size restaurant, with friendly staff and very clean. The chicken Greek salad with homemade dressing is also very tasty.

Service was amazing with the host and owner checking in frequently which was very much appreciated. Food was good, however didn’t find the spicy chicken curry to be spicy but the flavour was there. Partner found the shrimp curry to be good. Bruschetta was delicious! Atmosphere was very homey. Would try again.

An exceptional experience from start to finish. The owner and staff provided impeccable service, making us feel welcome and attended to throughout our meal. The food was of outstanding quality, cooked fresh and bursting with flavor. What impressed me the most was the lack of long wait times – our dishes arrived promptly and were still steaming hot. I'm already planning my next visit to try more of their menu options. Ali Baba is a must-visit for anyone seeking great food and service in Sudbury. The prices at Ali Baba restaurant were very reasonable, adding even more value to the outstanding dining experience.

The restaurant has excellent service the owner was extremely hospitable. We had Greek salad and Blackened Shrimp both were great the salad was freshly prepared. The portions are huge.

Welcoming staff, yummy food. Server Victoria was so hospitable and made amazing Shamrock Sipper. Veg Soya Taco were so yummy. Reasonable price.

Drove by this restaurant by chance. I thought it was just a regular English or Irish bar but the poutine I ordered really convinced me that they have more to offer. Amazing poutine with shredded beef slice, coated with hot gravy and cheese, yum. The other fries is also good with jalapeño dices.

The hostess was quick to seat. The server was excellent. I had the Cobb Salad, best I've had in a very long time. All the correct ingredients including real blue cheese... delicious.. they also have there oktoberfest menu right now. Veal was a very large portion. We completely enjoyed this outing.

The food was great but the service was even better. Our servers Linda and Saircia( her first night sorry for spelling) were super friendly as were everyone we interacted with. We’re from North bay and will definitely be back. Thanks so much

We had an amazing experience at Kelsey’s, thanks to our incredible waitress, Tiffany! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Her warm personality made us feel right at home, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. The retro menu was a fun throwback, and the food was absolutely delicious! Tiffany’s recommendations were spot-on, and her service made our visit unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to have Tiffany as our server again. Highly recommend!

The food presentation was great but the burger taste was very basic however it’s full of ingredients but you will not enjoy it. I asked mushroom melter but the mushrooms has very poor taste i will recommend the one from fat burger over this in the taste not the quantity They don’t follow the ingredients as per the menu exactly but they accept to change my sandwich Overall the place vibes was good but the need to invest more in the taste The value against the money was 6/10

Never been before but will definitely be back! The maple bacon ravioli was ABSOLUTELY delicious. OMG. I would have licked the plate clean if that was socially acceptable and the chèvre salad was just chefs kiss! Our server Alexi (hopefully that’s how you spell it) was very attentive and quick to get everything we needed to enjoy our experience! Will be back for the maple ravioli FOR SURE

We waited 40 minutes after being seated to get water and our order taken. The pizza I received was unimaginative, of poor quality. The crust was leather tough and had no loft at all. The fries were over cooked and very oily. My guest said the Brie burger they had was very good, messy but tasty. I expect more for this price point.

Really good Italian restaurant. Very good quality pastas and pizzas. Very attentive and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

I took my spouse here for the 1st time and we loved it!! The waitress was so nice. The food was top quality and came out fast. I had the turkey smash burger with the autumn soup omg to die for. He had the chicken parm and he said it was one the best he's had..coming from an Italian that's a high quality statement.

Overall, the Hardrock42 exceeded expectations. We were staying at the hotel attached and decided to have lunch here. Lots of beer choices and offer flights. The meal was fantastic .

Nice cool and clean quiet little gem. I am a huge breakfast person and really glad I stopped here not only for breakfast but the coffee is great too. Very well priced nice and friendly staff.

I had a great time with my friends on the patio, enjoying both the food and drinks. The atmosphere was fantastic. Kelly, our waitress, was incredibly kind and attentive, making me want to visit again. Plus, the female singer who performs live on Friday evenings has such a beautiful voice.

I love going to fromo! Valerie & John always go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience during your visit. Especially with the new menu items, you'd SERIOUSLY be missing out if you didn't try La Fromagerie.

My favourite place to have an iced latte or virgin caeser, do some reading or writing and enjoy excellent service.

We were recommended Jak’s from a friend, who stated that it was the best diner breakfast in Sudbury, and boy was she right!! We were greeted warmly and introduced to their classic menu of breakfast items. We got the eggs Benedict with home fries-poutine style- on the side, as well as French toast, one with strawberry and chocolate sauce and one with apple and caramel sauce- topped with whipped cream. Everything was fantastic, including the coffee. The food came quickly and was hot, the service and atmosphere were fantastic! We will absolutely be back, and will be bringing friends!!

One of the best things about getting away is finding new places to eat. It's no secret I'm a major fan and very vocal about supporting independent restaurants and skipping the boring chains. Jak's in Sudbury fit that bill for breakfast. Old school hole in the wall joint that hasn't been updated since its likely been opened. Faded pictures on the wall, chrome and naugahyde chairs, old vibes.... What you see here is the "wild west grilled cheese", it's what you get when you combine a grilled cheese, a western sandwich and garlic bread and it's down right amazing! The homes were likely the best I've ever had, the dill and parm aioli was the perfect compliment. So if you're passing through Scuzbury give this joint a stop in.

MICE INFESTED. I would stay away from this place. While I was eating I saw a mouse running on the floor and go into the back. When I mentioned it to the waitress she was very rude and dismissive and seemed annoyed that I even brought it up. Food wasn’t very good either. Felt very disgusted after seeing the mice.

Had an amazing lunch here today. Our server was absolutely wonderful but sadly I do not remember his name. My brother and I both had the special Burger Wars hamburger and it may have been the best burger of our lives! The French Onion Soup is also delicious. My sister in law had the Chicken Sandwich and it was also amazing. Will definitely eat here again next time I am in Sudbury.

Atmosphere was one of a kind. Food was great too. Not the best steak and grill I’ve had but definitely met the expectations.

Sam is a great waitress! We started with the traditional poutine, then had the vision burger, salmon salad, and the Cobb salad. They were all so good! Love the cute little cabin inside the restaurant, lots of parking, discount if staying at nearby hotels, and attentive service.

Food was okay. Their brisket needed help... like someone needs a trip to Southern US and learn brisket. Ribs were just okay... again could be done better. Mushroom appetizer was good, but it needs a little tweaking in the recipe. Great beer selection.

Food was alright. I got the top sirloin and it was a bit overcooked but the meat was a bit thin so it might have cooked quickly. The creme brûlée was pretty yummy though. Service was really good. We stayed past closing and they didn't try to kick us out or anything. The staff was really nice and gracious. We also got a discount for staying at the Marriott nearby!

Large portions for a fair price is the extent of the positives. Found the food overall very bland. We ordered a fish and chips, as well as a chicken parmesean which should be simple dishes to execute. The fish while was well battered had no salt nor seasoning, even the tartar sauce could not save it. For a classic like chicken parm with fettuccine alfredo, the alfredo felt like jarred sauce that was microwaved, and the tomato sauce was flat too. Certainly a meal that will get you full but nothing to write home about. Very meh service that did not fill water once during the meal. Took above average to fulfill orders.

What a great place, the food is amazingly good, beautiful presentation and delicious, the staff is friendly and provides impeccable and fast service, definitely a place that everyone should support and enjoy, great job!

Came here with some friends. Food was over an hour past when we ordered. Mine an extra 15 past that and not even what I ordered. Bill came in full still. Terrible The picture is my buffalo chicken “sandwich” that came on a naan for some reason???
