First time here today . Nice spot the food was great and hot. I was the only person there. Just after the rush hour of kids from across the way. It was smelling fresh and clean. I be back again to try something new on the menu. The portions were pretty good for the price. Fresh cut fries and breaded chicken fingers .what more could a person ask for right . Oh a birch beer to go with it hey bys. Or a Pepsi lol . No diet for me I sees the food and eats it lol . Cheers

We ordered the BBQ Chicken nachos from DoorDash a few weeks ago and they were truly spectacular. These weren’t regular nachos people, this man adds layers upon layers of toppings. There wasn’t a dry chip on the plate! Perfectly toasted nachos and the freshest veggies. They were so good we decided to try them out at the restaurant today. The staff were so sweet and attentive. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend checking them out. Great service, great people, amazing food and excellent pricing.

Well hometown you've done it again! Just ordered the large chicken burrito, ill let the pictures speak for me. I swear this is 4 pounds of perfection. I picked up the bag and instantly realized I was going to be having a nap in the near future. The ingredients are FRESH. The burrito was made and wrapped perfectly so you had a bite of all the ingredients together, not just lettuce one bite then just sause on the next, like I've had at other places. Also ALL THIS was under 15 bucks with tip...Yup. I have lunch for a week now. Anyone reading this do yourself a favor and drive out of your way and check out all the delicious food they have and the incredible staff that's more than happy to serve great food. Good selection for being out of season in mid-October. Though I was confused at their stock of PEI mussels and not NL mussels (most likely due to being end of season). The scallops we got were very buttery and delicious. Some of the best snow crab I've ever tasted came from Taylor's as well!

Picked up some fresh lobster, and they were delicious. Good prices and friendly service!

This store and its staff are wonderful! So nice to see a family owned business thrive, be passed down and the traditions continued along with some new additions as well. Keep up the great work!

I just tried this for the first time. Had a 2 piece fish and chips. The old lady had cod bites and fries with dressing and gravy. The amount of food we got was unreal. There was so much! The flavour though! It was unbelievable. I don't know if they're always this good, but wow. The fish was the best I ever had in NL. So crispy and crunchy outside, but succulent and juicy inside. Filled with flavor. The fries were amazing. After so many disappointing fish and chip places over the last year, this was worth the wait! I'll definitely be back!

The food here hasn't changed in the 30+ years I've been going here. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! All of your "big greasy feed" needs can be met here; and with lots of flavor and decent portion size! Definitely worth a visit!

This not the first i have been to this restaurant. I always enjoyed their food. Lately i have gotten hair in my food and today the fries were rubbery and tasted like they have been cooked forever and reheated. Yes i have spoke with someone there before and didn't feel like they were apologetic at all.

Nice casual environment. Food taste was good though very salty. All dishes had extra salt in it. We just took one bite on kungpao and left it because it was way too much salt. Other dishes was eatable but also had lot of salt. If they decrease the salt amount i think food will be way better. Special Stir fry beef was the best dish but still needs less salt. Hot n sour soup was not upto the mark. Chicken chowmen was good. General tsao was too sweet. Price is reasonable. Not sure if I will try it again.

My daughter and I dined here today. Just fantastic. Owner was all smiles. Food was incredible. From taste to presentation. Clean dining area and bathroom. Will gladly return.

This hidden gem is absolutely delicious! The food was so good. The place was so clean and quiet to eat. Prices were great and portions were awesome. Would definitely return and recommend!

All the staff there were very friendly, and overall customer service was wonderful. We came down to celebrate a birthday, and it worked out really well. There was no wait, and plenty of free tables, even though we made a reservation, just to be on the safe side. It didn't take too long to get what we ordered, and it all looked and tasted amazing! It wasn't too pricey, but the serving sizes were a little smaller than I had expected. We ordered funnel fries for dessert (which are deep fried) and we did get a few normal fries mixed in there, most likely just left from the last batch in the deep fryer. Potatoes with cinnamon and chocolate sauce weren't great, but, fun to try either way. We had a good laugh about it. Overall, great, fast and friendly service, at a wonderful location.

We visited this location as a group with kids. The wait staff went above and beyond with their service. The onion rings had very little sauce as compared to other locations. Also a child had the lid come off the salt. His mom asked if she could have it replaced. The waitress apologized and offered another. After the kids were ready for desert, one of the kids said they never got their meal. Other kids have some of theirs while he waited. A discount was not even offered for the mistake. Then we were charged $5.00 for the handful of fries. We asked to speak to the owner who was working in the kitchen. We praised the staff on their service. The owner said the salt was not the kitchens mistake and we voiced our concerned. The owner never apologized for their mistake and not preparing the missing meal. Poor customer service on the owners part.

The food was very pleasing on this visit and the service was great. I would love if they would renovate with more comfortable seating. Definitely some of the best pub grub on the shore.

It’s my first time eating Mary Browns. I feel why I try it so late. Fry chicken is juicy and crispy. It’s most delicious fry chicken I have ate in Canada. Chicken twist is awesome too. ❤️

Being from out of the province, I had to try the taters and dressing. What a disappointment. The taters were overcooked, and the 3 piece chicken was bone dry. Probably yesterday's food. This and a 3-piece chicken for $34. What a rip-off. Ruined Mary Brown's for me. Don't even think I'll go back in Ontario.

Split a Batter's box between three of us, and tried the mash bowl (stodgy but delicious mash with gravy, topped with chicken). Picked up via drive through. Great polite service. Best place to get chicken.

It was fun! Friendly staff, cold drinks, and a live band! What else could you ask for?! :)

A local friend said this was her go to place and it became mine as well. The staff and food were amazing! This was my go to place for Taco Thursday. My first time trying cod tongues and trucker's special. it was an interesting experience, but I was up for the challenge. I appreciate the staff at Tiny's making me feel welcomed.

While a favorite of my wifes, this was my first time here. Went for the wife's birthday, just a small group of five. Started with a large onion rings for the table, they were good, a little on the greasy side. The mains included a fin and feather, cod bite special, chicken fingers and poutine, 2 pc wings and fries, and a turkey mess. We also enjoyed a few beer, which were reasonably priced.The food was hot, fresh, and enjoyed by all. The portion size was large and average priced. Service was good for a full house of diners. Will return again soon.

Large portions of delicious, well prepared food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable dining room and quiet family atmosphere. Highly reccomended.

SO DELICOUS, WOW!!!!! First time trying Golden House. We got an order of General Tao Chicken and Vegetable Fried Noodles and I don't even know what to say. There are no words. I haven't even finished my plate but I felt compelled to review immediately. It is so delicious, I'm obsessed. Not only was it delicious, but we got so much food for our money! Completely satisfied with the entire experience :) We will be back soon!

Really good food for the cost. I did call and ask the the platter .he say no platter. On the menu it says one person platter for 16.99 . Not sure what to think about this . I like the noodles more then the rice myself. Gives ya lots of sauce for them chicken balls too . I ate it all up cost me 20 bucks . I be coming back here for another feed maybe try the spicy stuff next time

I won't go there again. I went for Chinese food, but it doesn't taste like Chinese cuisine at all. Moreover, the prices are very high for the taste and portion size they offer. The amount of chicken they served for Dinner for 2 was very little, it felt like a single portion. The chicken chow mein also had very little chicken (not exaggerating, maybe 3 or 4 small dice size pieces). Overall, we were not satisfied. Never recommend!

We stopped in for our first visit to a Jungle Jim's. Definitely a pub atmosphere, which is fine if that is what you are going for, but the sticky floors were a bit off putting. The meal itself came promptly and was fresh and tasty. Our server was friendly and attentive without hovering. Thanks for a nice meal!

My wife and I decided to stop in randomly after an evening motorcycle ride. It was Wednesday Wing night and there were quite a few tables occupied but we were able to get one. Service was timely concidering how busy it wss and the fact we had nachos instead of wings made it that much faster. Zero issues on this visit.

Had to send one dish back, cool. However, the server accommodated us. This is a place for pub food and if that's what your looking for then it's fine, but don't expect to be wowed. There is an extensive mostly TexMex menu and I've had decent fajitas here in the past. A nice deck and a sizable seating area are this restaurant's best attributes.

STILL NO REPLY FROM OWNER I have ordered from this place weekly since I started working in CBS but today I have to say, I will never order from them again. By not having their menu online is where this started. I ordered a burger platter and upgraded it to a poutine. The burger was 4 bites, like smaller then the smallest burger any fast food place and the small fries with gravy and cheese was a rip off. This is what I paid 17 dollars for without a drink. Like this has to be a mistake, I am still hungry after eating it.I would say go to Golden House, get a combo for $13 tax in and you won't even be able to finish it.

We had their new chicken family meal- the chicken was absolutely delicious, better than the popular chicken chains. Fries, dressing and gravy was spot on. Reasonable price too! Maybe add an option without the nuggets and strips, but those were good too!

Good food, great fish and the pressure cooker fried chicken is awesome!

Unique tasty pizza, my personal favourite! Wonderful owner, lovely staff, restaurant is small but feels cozy, pizza is always consistent and you always know what you're gonna get. Can get pricey fast, likely paying more than other local pizzerias, but a nice treat for sure.

Proto pizza deliver via skip gave us a pizza vertically and both skip and pronto blame each other. Poor service from both. Proto hung up on me without discussion.

First time ordering. Wanted to go local. Sauce was bland. Not enough cheese. Toppings were fresh and great and crust was great

I passed by Ava's a few times and decided to stop in. The staff were really nice and patient as I decided. There are so many good places to get fish and chips in Conception Bay South, I enjoyed visiting here, and look forward to returning on the next trip.

My most recent experience wasn't great. I'll still give you guys 5 stars because you're my favorite pizza place in NL. However, our most recent visit was really lacking. The lack of toppings was disappointing :( I'm hoping this won't become a trend.

Downhome style ambiance of a corner store that does it all, with delicious style. Reccomended by a long time local, and we were not disappointed. Fed 20 people easily with 5 jumbo pies and a garlic bread pie. Sweet folk doing a great job.

What a jewel of a place this is! Stumbled on it with my family today while traveling around, and we were all very pleased to have stopped in. The wings, chowder and french onion soup were all delicious; the number of menu options was impressive; the service was stellar and the ocean views from the spacious patio were stunning. Couldn't have asked for a nicer lunch. Will be back next time I'm in the area!

Came in for lunch today with my boss, there was a pretty big crowd there and only one young lady serving. However, she did an amazing job! I was shocked at how efficient she was. We had drinks on the table within moments off arriving and had our food less than 15 minutes after placing our order. I didn't catch her name but she was working during lunch on Friday, September 20th between 1 and 2pm. Despite having so many people to serve, she was very friendly and did such a wonderful job. This young woman is most definitely an asset to your operation and we look forward to being served by her again in the very near future!

Decent little spot to enjoy a cold beverage and bite to eat on a patio or inside. Tried the pizza flight. The pizzas are supposed to come with dips, but these dips are to be requested at time of order (they don't ask you what you'd like, or have a menu for them). Some of the dip options tasted like salad dressing, but otherwise good enough. The crust on the pizzas themselves were just crunchy enough and not too thick, which is my preference. The Pulled Pork & Alfredo options were best. Service was a little slow; sat for about 15 minutes before we had our order taken. The server was polite though, so maybe this wasn't the normal experience.

Wife and I had fish and chips here tonight. I had the two peice and she got a one piece, both of us got chips with it. The fish was excellent the fries were OK but unsalted. The wait time was probably the worst, it was almost 30 minutes. Nice staff and good fish so we will probably return but try a different side.

Been here once and looking forward to another visit. I love their Fish and Chips plus the dips are too irresistible. Crispy and cooked to perfection!. Kudos to the lovely service and delicious foods!.
