Wow, wow wow wow I used to own a restaurant I know all about food I’ve done nothing but food for 40 years When I walked into this place, I didn’t think they would be good I thought another restaurant gonna be average But that was not the case Every dish she made me I ordered three different dishes and they were all perfect too perfection 10 out of 10 the most awesome Chinese restaurant I had in 30 years I suggest to run to this restaurant don’t walk run there. Chen’s is a go to place for Chinese ffod in Stonewall. We have introduced family & freinds to Chen’s. When we invite them for dinner, they get excited to have Chen’s. Quality & quanity is supreme. There is no dine in currenly. Take out only.

Very clean and quiet place. I stopped there with my kids on a way to Winnipeg. Kids loved chicken balls and noodles. Portions are huge for a reasonable price. Stir fry vegetables were fresh and not made from frozen, shrimps are larger size and perfectly cooked. Service is great, would definitely recommend.

Sing Fei Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with dishes that truly stand out. The fried rice boasts a wonderful wok char flavor that adds a delightful smokiness to every bite. The honey garlic veal is one of the best I've had in a long time, perfectly balanced and irresistibly delicious. While the soup is tasty, I usually add a bit of soya sauce to suit my palate. The wonderful staff, always friendly and attentive, make every visit a pleasure. Highly recommended!

Recommended by a friend who lives nearby. Very good quality and quantity of food in our take away orders, didn't feel we overpaid. I'll have to take a bash at their lunch buffet one day. The folks are really nice and always smiling.

This place always has good food. Love their buffet. The owners are amazing people. Very friendly. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is always clean. Not a long wait for food which is great. Come on everyone let's support this business and get the buffet back.

I don’t even know where to start… We had heard that the fried chicken was really good here so we were excited to try it. We ordered the 3 piece fried chicken special x2. I specifically asked before ordering if I could get all white meat and was told that it shouldn’t be a problem; but after putting through the order the waitress came back to our table and told us there would be an up charge on my chicken unless my partner had all dark meat. They made such a big deal about me getting white meat and brought me out 2 itty bitty wings as white meat? The wings were bloody and the bones were broken, they were so small with hardly any meat. My other piece was white meat but the meat was non existent as well. The chicken was so hard and dry because every last ounce of moisture was fried out of it due being way overcooked. My partner had 2 itty bitty drums and one other piece of dark meat. Long gone are the days that 3 pieces of chicken would fill you up because this particular plate was devoid of chicken. The fries made up most of the plate of food and they were skin on, dirt encrusted, rotten blackened ends. Not appetizing in the least. The only redeemable thing on the plate was the small ramekin of gravy… but one can hardly make a meal out of gravy alone. No extras, comforts or effort was made to make this meal enjoyable… No extra napkins were provided. No wetnaps. No butter provided for the stale hard bun. The teeny tiny cup of coleslaw was laughable. My partner snacked all night because the food portion was so lacking. The ladies bathroom is terrible. You literally have to reach behind yourself awkwardly to get toilet paper that barely comes out of the dispenser. The booth seating is so uncomfortable. Our waitress was miserable. The cook or manager was miserable and yelling at waitresses so loud you could hear the entire conversation. The whole experience was terrible and we have absolutely no reason to come back. Edit: We foolishly did come back to try the pizza because a friend said it was better than the chicken and sorry to say their pizza is just as lousy! I don’t understand why you guys think putting pepperoni under the cheese is a good idea - that’s just gross! Don’t expect many toppings either, the amount of back bacon used was lacking in a big way. Cheese didn’t taste good, sauce was lousy. The crust wasn’t even good. Nothing redeemable in this pizza at all.

Ordered the fried chicken special. It comes with 3 pieces of chicken, fries, coleslaw and a roll bun. Extra charge for gravy. Coleslaw and gravy are very small portion. The 3 pieces of chicken are very dry, I couldn’t be able to eat them if not for the gravy. Fries are ok not the best. I wouldn’t eat them if not eating them with gravy. I tried their pizza. I like their pizza. Specially the thin crust. The service is ok. Not enough napkin. Server was on her cellphone. The back of the seat at the booth is very uncomfortable. No cushion at all. When I laid back, I felt my back is curved in. Overall, it is alright.

Thankfully, even with two rounds of new ownership, the pizza remains legendary. But, I have to admit that the dining room has gotten drab. The booths were uncomfortable, without having cushioning for the back (which is baffling). The level of cleanliness and interior decorating made the place feel old and tired. Thankfully for the current management, they have someone maintaining the standard of the pizza. *and to respond to the reviewer who is outraged at the pepperoni going under the cheese: 1. It keeps the pepperoni moist and not dried out and 2. When you put pepperoni on top, additional toppings are unable to stick to the cheese, meaning they more easily just fall off.

Red Star has a nice big menu, which seems to be the rarity in Manitoba. That was my main draw to this restaurant, the variety. First visit to Red Star we dined in the restaurant and I honestly thought that the food was fantastic. It came out piping hot and the waitress was very nice. Ambiance in the sitting area was quite nice. However the bathroom was not great, as it was dirty and smelled awful. Fast forward a bit we decided to do a large takeout order. We ordered a lot of different dishes and my first thought was why are the takeout bags so small? I began to worry we didn’t have enough food to feed our party. Unpacking the paper takeout bags it was clear that portion sizes are extremely small here. I’ve never seen such small portion sizes with Chinese takeout. The absolute standout was the jaw dropping size of the side sauce (such as sweet and sour sauce, honey garlic sauce and lemon sauce) they are absolutely ridiculous! Literally only enough for one person! There is not enough sauce to go around a table of people. I’ve taken pictures, as you will see I’ve placed a fortune cookie beside the sauce cup for size reference. Anyone who actually likes a lot of sauces on their order will be hugely disappointed in this! I would never ever order takeout for a crowd here. As for the flavour of the food, it was decent. I just cannot wrap my head around the portion size of anything for the high price point they charge! I’ve given this restaurant a fair trial and am sad to say we won’t be back.

The service was friendly and kind, the chicken chow mein was delicious and it wasn’t unbelievably expensive! They were very accommodating to my allergy. I will absolutely make the trip in from portage la prairie to eat here again! So good!

I'd like to start by saying, I've been here many times with my wife. the last few times we've had red star have been rather disappointing. It seems they're doing what grocery stores are doing... keeping the same prices and making smaller portions. Honestly, with so many Chinese restaurants in town, I don't need to order a (kids meal) from red star. Just an example...the last time I ordered a combo plate chk balls and shrimp, I got 3 whole shrimp and 3 chicken balls with a bit of rice and veg and was still hungry. Now, I ordered the same combo plate from another Chinese restaurant and I have leftovers in the fridge. Never gonna waste my money at RED Star again (because of the kiddie portions) Oh.. and the service was mid. Too busy packing orders in the back and too busy taking care of take-out customers to bother with customers dining in. Good luck trying to stay in business Red Star. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Tastefully remodelled and beautifully redecorated version, under recently new ownership, of a long-time favourite restaurant in Stonewall, Manitoba. The two of us went there for a light supper on the first evening after moving in to our new abode. We were pleasantly surprised at the fresh new atmosphere. Requested a hot chicken sandwich (a nice twist on the beef classic) and a B.L.T. with fries (we shared the fries, of course ). Our meals came promptly, hot, generous, and delicious. Harminder, our server, was friendly, attentive, helpful, and polite. Thank you for welcoming us to our new community with good food, nice surroundings, and a smiling face.

We had a great time here! We stopped in during the quarry days festival to have a rest and have some food. Food was great, took a bit of time getting out, but was worth it. Our server was an absolute gem and really personable, but they were a bit slow on the coffee and water refills. Overall good experience and we’ll be back!

I visit chicken chef frequently. I found this place very friendly and always ready to greet their customers with warm wishes. They have great customer service. I never got to wait more than expected time for my order. Especially they give their customers best services with best tasting pizza and excellent crust . I recommend everyone to visit this place.

I recently dined at Rockwood Motor Inn & Motel, and it was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place for a great meal and a cozy vibe. I can't wait to return!

Usually decent… would be nice if they stir the drinks rather then sugar at bottom And maybe clean the hot chocolate machines after hours or before rather then a Saturday when kids will be wanting hot chocolate on a cold day… Had a couple upset kids on my hands yesterday

Best Tim's in Manitoba. Great staff, very fresh products. I always go out of my way to stop here. Very friendly all staffs.. always wearing their smile at all times. Good Job!

Everything about this Tim Hortons is awesome! always super fast in the drive through and very friendly. I don't even know how they make everything so fast! There is nothing wrong about the service or food but WHY is there a massive pothole right in-front of the drive thru entrance? It is always there and almost never filled. My car bottoms out on it every time. it has been like that for years and something needs to be done permanently to actually fix the problem, not just fill it with gravel every 5 months. I don't know if it is the Tim's problem or the Esso's problem, but it needs to be dealt with. The whole town knows about that pothole and I think they're tired of scrapping the bottom of their cars on it.

My card didn’t work due to me putting a check into it the day before, it got held and the ladies that was taking my order payed for it out of generosity, was very thankful for her doing that and felt very bad that she payed for it but was I ever thankful

The staff at Pizza Hotline were incredibly warm and attentive, making our dining experience truly special. Their pizza was a standout too, with its crispy crust, rich sauce, and deliciously melted cheese that simply made each bite unforgettable. Definitely will come back :)

DONT waste your time. Or money. So disappointing when you order face to face a primo supremo pizza get a primo pepperoni. Try and go back tell them the correct pizza I wanted. Not what he wanted to make. and a few other things they actually were able to understand I guess After a 74$ order I should have gotten what I wanted and actually ordered. I’ll never come back

We stopped here Saturday 24 Aug 2024, just before the noon hour, people at one table left as we walked in, one group sat at a table with chairs, we were directed to a booth, which we chuckled about as the seats were quite a distance from the table…our comment to each other… they are expecting us to eat lots. My husband wasn’t very hungry, so ordered a bowl of the day special soup, potato and bacon, it was the right temperature, a big bowl filled to the edge… he said it was very good. Meanwhile I had ordered a Canadian burger with just plain fries rather than the poutine which was listed as a combination. My plate when it arrived was nice and hot with loads of fries , the burger tasted very good. I managed to eat the burger and about half the fries… so I need to say the portions were definitely big. The place looked clean , the one waitress, was helpful, and kind… we had no complaints. And yes we needed to go to the entrance to pay at the counter… but so what? We were passing there on our way out! While we were seated two more groups came in and as we left more were arriving . We would recommend the restaurant, it’s likely not where you would take your high class friend, but we wanted a bite to eat and continue our journey, it definitely served the purpose.

We had fish and chips for lunch, it was very good. We will try the butter chicken poutine next time.

After sitting here for 35 minutes being ignored I finally got my coffee. After that was informed we couldn’t have breakfast but nothings labeled, guy acted so scared that I even ordered it. Horrible horrible service. This place has gone downhill after being bought by new owners. Sad because this town deserves businesses that treat customers well. NOT ignore them. would give less stars if I could
