We just had a great Oyster feast experience at Guilt & Ivy. Being a Westmount resident, it’s a shame I didn’t know about this place. We were a group of six celebrating an event: upon arrival, a warm welcome greeting and a great table was assigned to us, it was evident that the place was busy but everything was taken care of in a timely manner. We had lots of Empress and old fashion cocktails and they were fabulous. The Oyster happy hour was very handy and the salmon tartar was great too. The ambiance and service were great, so I would definitely recommend this place (I did read the reviews before going there and honestly our experience was outstanding. So bring your positive attitude and oyster cravings to this restaurant and you’ll have a blast!
Found this gem through google. Highly recommend visiting! Our server Melissa was outstanding. Every recommendation she made was delicious. Highly recommend the platter, calamari , carrot cake desert. great selection of wines as well. Will definitely visit again.
Terrible experience. The price I was charged did not match the price on their menu (186$ vs 140$). The truffle fries came without Parmesan . The pear and blue cheese salad came without the blue cheese . The portions were ridiculously small . 100% not recommend , save your money and go to a better restaurant! Edit : the owner just lied about adding blue cheese himself . Please look at the picture of the salad we didn’t eat . There are zero pieces of blue cheese in it and it’s embarrassing and shameful for the price we paid .

We came on Tuesday for lunch, 5 of us, the broccoli soup of the day was so salty I got a headache instantly with one spoon full, my husband and I both took it, our friends also tasted it and consensus was unanimous, extremely oversalted, we sent it back. I ordered the Taki Taki and Octopus, it was absolutely fantastic, mind you very small baby portions, it's a starter, just enough to wet the beak. Hubby got the fried calamari, also amazing, highly recommend, I should have ordered that too, then the grilled Veal over veggies, pounded to a thin patty, well prepared. The butter for the bread was rock solid, he should have took it out to thaw like an hour before opening, same for the desserts, the profiterole were also just out of the freezer, I couldn't get my knife through, had to stab it like some psycho to get to the middle, it should have been creamy but they were hard as a rock, however still delicious, not too sweet just perfect. The music was so loud I had to scream, then it was quiet so I think he figured it out. The paintings are fantastic, I was in awe just staring at them. Look, if you want professional perfect service and show off to clients go to the Keg, if you don't mind casual whatever service and overpriced food this is the place for you.
It was my first time at this restaurant and we were served by a friendly, funny and hospitable waiter, shout out to Sandro. You made dining very enjoyable and we will be back! Thank you for an excellent service!

Really awesome, as always. I had the BLT which was my go-to order at the original location over 20 years ago. It tastes just as good as it did back then! My daughter loved her burger and the fries tasted just like we would make them at home. Lovely place, beautiful plants and atmosphere with a kind and quick service. We look forward to coming back again soon!
Food : 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Trying something a little different I went for dinner with a friend (a former vegan) on a Wednesday evening. There is a small sidewalk terrace but we elected inside as it was a little chilly. The restaurant inside is very bright with a pretty laid back vibe and decor. The staff was very warm and helpful in terms of explaining some of the options and giving recommendations to me, a proud carnivore. We ordered 2 bowls, Dragon & Mumbai Bowl, Tempeh Satay and Mango Lassi. Orders came fast, presentation was very nice and everything was tasty. No complaints and would repeat.
5. Great spot!!! Used to go to their other location in the plateau, this one is wonderful too. Big open space, lots of seating, and the same awesome menu. Love the BLT and the dragon bowl- always! They’re super accommodating of allergies- they have a booklet where they can check for all allergens in all of the items, even the dressings and sauces and they’re happy to make susbtitions. Don’t sleep on the vegan butter or the dragon sauce- both can be taken to go. The bathroom in this location is down a set of stairs and they have a change table in the women’s middle stall. Great place for kids too.

I've been coming here for years, but I wouldn't call myself a regular. Whenever I bring guests who have never been, they're always very pleased. This was the case again last week. My companion and I were very happy with all our selections. We had the fried calamari and the zucchini chips for starters and the red snapper and lamb chops as our mains. Everything was served hot and fresh with portions so large we had to leave quite a bit on our plates. The lamb chops were the best I'd had in quite some time. Tender and succulent, and they were able to accommodate my preference for them to be served rare. Staff were friendly, as usual, but service was slower on this particular visit than normal. Nice that it's a BYOB with a corkage fee, but we weren't drinking that evening. Prices have risen steadily over the years, but that's the case almost everywhere. I would consider them competitive, especially given the portion sizes.
My family and I got some appetizers to share, including the skordalia (a dish that is kind of like mashed potatoes), saganaki (a fried cheese dish that you make by setting cheese on fire), and Greek salad. For the main course, I got the shrimp pasta and then for dessert, I got the baklava. Everything was delicious! Also, our waiter was super nice and had a great sense of humor, and I really like the decor of the restaurant as well!
I was very happy to find a Greek restaurant in the heart of Westmount. The food overall was good. Fried calamari portion was generous, Greek salad had fresh vegetables and authentic feta cheese (quite a challenge to find it in Montreal), shrimps in the main course were big and delicious. However, I was not happy with the sides of the shrimp dish, specifically carrot tasted horrible (as if its expired), potatos and rice on the same plate made no sense at all. The restaurant ambiance is amazing, rustic Greek decor and plates are very well picked. Cheers to the hostess at the entrance, what a lovely girl, so helpful and friendly!

Had a lovely dinner here as a group of 8 during the week. Reservation was required. We were able to stay for 3 hours - it was great. Appetizer variety lacking - but had a zucchini flower special of the day which was delicious. Menu for mains was a good variety. Had the ricotta and pea ravioli which was delicious. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals. Good wine variety and attentive service by the waiter. Prices are a bit steep... but I am becoming complacent to this because everywhere is expensive. Would recommend!
Food - excellent Portions - on par with the price Quality ingredient - excellent Price to value is excellent Atmosphere excellent interior design, stunning bar, high quality seating, superb view of the near open kitchen. Desserts were excellent. The focaccia placed on the table was so good it was had to stop eating it. Bar menue was creative and classic at the same time while the wine menue was of a high quality and reasonably priced. Staff were beautifully presented, knew their menue perfectly and communicated their menue and specials with clarity and enticing. The front of house was managed beautifully and you can see how every person knows their role and moves on the floor like a well orchestrated ballet.
Went for my friends Bachelorette! Was the best experience I’ve ever had! The food & service was amazing! The steak was my favourite! Would totally recommend and go back!

Had a great experience at bistro La Franquette! Wine and food were fantastic. The homemade sourdough bread had a nice butter and flaky salt that balanced out the sweet caramelized Halloumi cheese, they were a perfect combo. And thank you to Coco for recommending the Gemelli pasta!!! Will be back:)
A must try restaurant in Montreal. Everything was perfect. The food, the service. There oysters were very fresh and delicious. The halloumi, never had such a good halloumi Mains we had the ravioli and beef tartare with fries, highly recommended.

Chez Nick has been feeding Westmount since 1920, and now it’s feeding my soul (and stomach). This chicken pita might just have more history than my last relationship. #OldSchoolDelicious #WestmountEats
An outstanding restaurant with a massive menu that is a fixture in the community. It is welcoming, the portions are generous and made of quality ingredients for very reasonable prices. It is staffed with lovely people who seem genuinely to like their jobs and clearly take pride in their work. Would absolutely go back on future trips to Montreal.
This place deserves all five stars. The food is fantastic and not greasy like in other places. The servers are attentive, cheerful, and efficient. You will come for the food but will leave with a great smile and full of love!
