Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Moose Jaw – 2024

Could have been a one off extremely disappointing for the price. Ordered medium to medium rare and got blue rare. Couldn’t chew through the steak. Risotto was crunchy. Bernais was cold, asked if it could be warmed up and it came back separated and inedible. Partner ordered medium rare she got blue rare. Both of us were so hungry as we were saving up all day for this very expensive meal and we’re just so disappointed. Server was great but I would strongly caution eating here as our bill was almost $300 and we left hungry.

I was rather disappointed with our overall experience dining here. The appeal of this place was a large reason why we chose Moose Jaw for our weekend getaway. We had ordered some appetizers, among them lamb chops (medium rare). They arrived essentially completely raw. The server was not particularly attentive so it took a while to rectify. They offered to re fire them and they did eventually come back cooked correctly but unfortunately they lacked any salt and therefore flavor. $22 for 2 raw unseasoned baby chops seems excessive & no concessions were offered. This may have felt more acceptable would they have been dealing with a full house but we were one of 2 tables while they had 2 servers. The next morning we decided to try breakfast. I ordered the classic breakfast and received burnt bacon & eggs that were maybe half cooked. In their defence I did not notify the server about this as I became frustrated at this point, that's on me. While we had some dishes that were quite pleasing, the lack of consistency or care at the pass really needs to be addressed. There is no excuse for a fine dining establishment to send out raw meat and eggs. Had either the food been as advertised, or concessions been made by the server after realizing a mistake occurred, this would have easily been a 5 star review. I don't mean to deter any guests from eating here! I think they have fantastic potential, I just hope this feedback helps them improve!

While staying at the Grant Hall Hotel, we came here for breakfast twice. Both times, it was incredibly delicious. The items were fresh and light, but savory and filling for a healthy breakfast. It was surprisingly affordable, and we did not have to wait very long for our food. The staff were very polite, but we did have to fill up our own water glasses a couple of times because we could not see or find our server. The design of the dining room matched the aesthetic of the rest of the hotel perfectly, and it felt like we were eating in a luxury establishment. We will definitely eat here again.

The food is great but the service is excellent. My server made me feel welcome and came by several times to see if I needed anything. Very enjoyable dining.

Had the smash burger. It was good but wasn't a smash burger, just a regular burger. My wife had some sort of noodle bowl and enjoyed it. The smoked of fashion was good!

As a pregnant lady wanting a steak this is not what I imagined. I’ve ordered steaks before for delivery and this was awful. Tasted terrible as well. No spices and tastes like they put it in the oven on broil.

Clean looking dining room. Small selection but tasty. Best Wonton soup so far in Saskatchewan. Chicken Wings were excellent except had 5 spice on them. Didn't need it. Prawns were yummy! Small but tasty buffet! Wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return when in town.

Used to be a good place, not anymore. Atmosphere very dirty and dingy. Few regulars in there talking loud and disgusting conversations across the restaurant at each other. Food not so great. Fried wontons full of hair. Had a loud man come out from the kitchen don't know if wrked there or what but asked me and my daughter if we were done with our fork cause he couldn't find one to eat his food with. The dessert was ridiculous. The brownies were dried hard as hockey pucks. We will never be back nor would I ever recommend.

I visited this place with my dear friends for trying authentic Chinese cuisine. The ambiance was amazing with music in the background. People were very friendly especially Edmond. He was polite and made all of feel at home. He was kind enough to help us with flavourful chilli oil. I loved it and I would definitely come back for some more. Fried rice was delicious as well. That awesome chilli oil went well with the soup and fried shrimps that we had. I would recommend this place to all those who want to try out authentic Chinese cuisine and a looking for a great place to have lunch or supper. Keep up the good work you all.

Bobby's Place has earned its spot as my top choice for homemade Beer battered mushrooms, surpassing all others. It's an absolute must-try! Accompanied by my son, who praised their burgers, I opted for one and was astounded by its size and juiciness, comparable to a fantastic burger I'd enjoyed in BC. Paired with homemade fries, it made for an incredible meal. While I didn't capture a photo, the numerous napkins we used would have illustrated the burger's exceptional juiciness. With a diverse selection of homemade options, Bobby's Place is a must-visit for lunch or dinner, with the added bonus of live music on some weekends.

We stopped by Moose Jaw for a night heading home to Winnipeg from Vancouver. My family was hungry and we wanted to find a place to eat near the hotel we were staying at. We decided to stop at this pub as it had great reviews, and the reviews were right. We were greeted with very friendly staff and was seated right away. Their menu had a lot of good looking choices. My wife chose the Shepard pie, I got the beef dip, my mother in law got the fish and chips and my daughter got the chicken fingers. All the food was great, but I’d say the Shepard pie was the best.

This is truly the best burger we've had in a loooong time. The fries are home cut and they were perfect. We ordered one gravy and there was plenty to share. We highly recommend Bobby's. Update Nov `24. We stopped in on the way through town and enjoyed the juicy battered fish. We both loved it! We ordered one fish & Fries basket and paid $9 for a second piece of fish, then we shared the fries. There was homemade tarter, a section of lemon and Coleslaw. Our only complaint is that they should be giving a small dish of Coleslaw, not a tiny paper cup of it with just 3 or 4 little bites. The fish was worth every penny!

We had travelled manny hours on the day we decided to come here for a late dinner. It was the only decent looking place open later than 8pm. We had our dog, and my cousin had her two small kids so we sat on the patio. There were 8 of us. Service was slow. Like, inexcusably slow. There was no one else in the restaurant, and only one other table on the patio. We tried to find our server a few times and she was no where to be found. The food took FOREVER to come to the table. The food was not good. I got the buffalo chicken wrap. It was literally dripping Frank's red hot sauce into a massive pool on the plate. The chicken was soggy and so was the lettuce. I didn't even eat half of it, it was awful. The fries were cold and floppy. It had obviously sat out for a long time before coming to us. 3 people ordered Cobb salad. All of them said the chicken was so hard it was crunchy throughout. The cheese was weird. Honestly, every dish was a huge miss. Super disappointed. We come to Brewhouse often in Calgary and have never had such a gross experience.

The customer service was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The poutine classic was the best. Thank you for the nice time.

I had the spicy tuna poke bowl. The rice was kind of mealy and overall not very flavorful. Nice presentation. Sorry, guys.

We are from Regina and we visited this place yesterday. The food was really tasty. We ordered Chicken Quesadillas, Chicken Sandwich and Wings. It was delicious. We would definitely love to visit this place again the next time we go to Moose Jaw. The service and ambiance were also amazing.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!! hands down best food we have had in the whole province!! burger of the week was to die for my wife for the beef dip (limited time) said it was the best she's ever had and my mom got the chicken cordon blue sandwich and couldn't stop talking about it and their fries and gravy were more then unbelievable!! we will eat here every trip to MJ and we traveled 2 hours to get this meal 1000% worth it

Awesome location. Super cool atmosphere. Spectacular wait staff. Great quality food. Good selection. We had Fish & Chips and a Cuban sandwich. I recommend any time you're in MooseJaw.

Had such a great experience here Saturday night before the Rush game! Great prices, awesome food and amazing service! Next time I'm in Moose Jaw, I'll definitely be back!!

If you want a comfortable safe space to dance, play video games and party at in Moose Jaw, the crushed can is it, classy style free life size space invaders game, and token operated Mario kart in the back!! I’m from out of town and this place was so much fun and the staff were so friendly, very clean bathrooms, classy style, the games made it an even better time for our dd! The park is not it. Go to the crushed can! Thanks for a great night!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Went for supper and was so incredibly impressed. Arielle was an amazing server, very down to earth and friendly. Johnathan the assistant manager went out of his way to help his staff and make sure we were comfortable. And the food was absolutely incredible! Big size portion and delicious, I’ve never been a fan of browns before until tonight. Will definitely be going back to see these guys again and highly recommend! Get the steak and pasta!

Arielle was a great server tonight. I have many allergies and she, and the cook, was great towards what I could have. I would 100% eat here again.

I went to Brown's with my friend Sheila Latsay. I had chicken quesidias and key lime pie for dessert. My friend had a breakfast with eggs and potatoes hashbrowns bacon and toast. My meal was good I especially enjoyed the green relish that went with it. Sheila asked for hard cooked eggs and she got them. She liked her breakfast meal. I liked mine also. The server was friendly and accommodating to our needs. The atmosphere was a little loud but it soon became better as people left.I really have only one small complaint that the graham wafer crust was a little hard otherwise it was delicious! I will go to Brown's Social House again.

Despite the grandeur of the environment, the portions were a bit on the smaller side, but the quality more than made up for it. My teenagers and I had a great time enjoying the experience here and trying to spook each other. I’ve been here many time but it’s been quite a few years. This is the first time we’ve been given a full tour of the Hopkins house and told all about the amazing architecture/items/history (thank you Linda!). It was wild and we loved it. We ordered pretty basic food but the fries, wings, and chicken fingers were a hit!

Love The Flats. Cheyenne served us and was wonderful. We were seated quickly,had drinks quickly and dinner was out in about 15 minutes!! Dinner was delicious and one of the best Caesar salads with my meal. We enjoyed football on tv and just the atmosphere here is so relaxing. This place has never disappointed!!

Did you know Flats is open @ 8 am!! We stopped in for breakfast and had the most delicious breakfast! Eggs benny is amazing and traditional breakfast was as well. So much food on the plate couldn’t even finish. Great service from Candace! Will return again soon. :)

This was our first time to visit. Food was very good, our server Natasha was wonderful. The food came out quick even when it was busy. Will definitely come again.

I've been to Streets three times now and will continue to go. The food is very good quality, you can tell corners were not cut in obtaining fresh ingredients. Great drinks too. I just want to make one suggestion, because I am a vegetarian it would be great if they offered a plant based burger to swap out for the regular burger on the menu. There are very few items I can eat. Otherwise everything else was good.

The food was absolutely delicious. I had the steak sandwich, and it was done just the way I like it. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food and dessert. Photos are of my steak sandwich, and the salmon.

Went for supper, both ordered a steak sandwich. Glad that's all we ordered. The steaks had so much char on them it was obvious the grill hadn't been cleaned in days if not a week. It was tough to cut through which is never a good steak. The steak wouldn't have even been edible if I didn't ask for bbq sauce, but waited so long for the food that I wasnt going to reorder as it would still come out black. My mom refused to eat her steak... that was comped from the bill by the manager but nothing else was done about it. Glad we didn't order the larger steak for $37 as it was hardly edible. We won't be back.

Ordered lunch special with my spouse, said it was supposed to come with a appetiser.. the server brought us pakoras before we even ordered anything(as complementary) 4 pieces of pakoras between the 2 of us. Later told us that it was the appetiser. Misleading menu. Food was alright. The high chair is way too small for a baby, your child will be under the table. Not a child friendly place. It was -10 and snowing outside and equally cold inside.

Reviewing: Seafood Special - $18.25 Lunch Special: Chef's starter, choice of one seafood main, rice, butter naan, and a soda. This was a rip-off. I received just 4 pieces of undercooked shrimp in a bowl of sauce. The seafood portion was minimal, along with a small serving of white rice, a coke, and naan. Charging $18 for this was outrageous—it wasn’t worth more than $8.50. I don’t recommend this item at all. They should either reduce the cost or increase the seafood.

I recently ordered takeout from Caraway Grill and while the food was delicious, I was disappointed by the mix-up in my order and the lack of response from their customer service team. When I placed my order, I specifically requested Madras Chicken and Chicken 65. However, upon receiving my order, I discovered that I had been given Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken instead. While both dishes were tasty in their own right, it was disappointing not to receive what I had initially craved and ordered. I immediately tried to get in touch with the restaurant to address the issue. However, my attempts to contact them via phone went unanswered. This lack of responsiveness left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with their customer service.

In town on business, came in based on the reviews and was not disappointed. It did take a while for the food to arrive but was well worth the wait. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken & was served so much I couldn't finish my serving! My friend ordered the souvlaki and said it was delicious and best thing we ate since being on the road. Service was friendly & attentive. Would highly recommend

I stopped here for dinner during a road trip stop. I am glad I went into Moose Jaw rather than continuing on the highway as my meal was delicious, my server friendly, and the restaurant a great place to relax. Would happily eat here again if I ever return to the area.

The Chef plated our shared meal and there was more than enough for us. We had the Chicken souvlaki. Very tasty!

The good ratings on this place speak for themselves! I stopped in while driving through Moose Jaw this weekend. The food was awesome, service was on point, and the atmosphere felt welcoming! Even when our waitress was busy with other things, her coworkers were checking in on us and helping with drink refills. You definitely get family vibes and a strong team atmosphere here. My food was great, the home cut fries had me drooling! I’m impressed and will be back! And will of course recommend to people I know!

All the comments about friendly and comfortable are true. Younger visitors will find it retro. Older one will see as what the diner they grew up with. Special praise to the kitchen for a breakfast with eggs done right and the sausages split to prevent the greasies. The hash browns were among the best I've had. For non-prairie visitors, order the rye toast. You'll love it. All in all, this is the place for breakfast. It's full of locals a few minutes after the 8 am opening. It's worth the wait, if necessary. Take a booth if you can, for the full experience.

Came for lunch with the ladies. Food is truly homemade and delicious! Even the cheesecake that I failed to take a picture before it was gone! Definitely put on your list to visit sometime soon.
