The Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge is a must do, at least once! The restaurant serves good, hearty, Southern comfort food and has a cool history, The building itself is charming, nestled next to a working grist mill, and the food is pure nostalgia. We tried the fried pork chops with mashed potatoes & okra and smothered fried steak with mashed potatoes & Mac & cheese. Both were tender and flavorful ~ just like grandma used to make. Each meal comes with endless sides and their famous corn fritters, which were honestly worth the visit alone. The service was friendly, and the portions were generous! I took off one star on food because my okra was kinda cold/old tasting. Everything else was delicious. ~ Be prepared to wait. This is a popular place to eat! With good reason ✨️ After eating, we shopped at their General Store, where you can purchase cornmeal, flour, and other goodies that are milled on-site. It’s a fun way to bring a taste of The Old Mill back home and makes for a unique souvenir. Great food, rich history, and a little something to take home—it’s a true gem! Definitely worth a stop!
