Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Toledo – 2024

Stop in for lunch and had a great experience. The food was really good. The service was great. The waitress checked in a number of times. The music was even good. Very clean. I definitely recommend stopping here for lunch.

While searching for things to see and places to eat in Toledo, this place came up. The menu is pretty large, but mostly a sandwich place. The bacon and pimento cheese burger I had was great. It said the sandwiches come with chips. I assumed home made. They were not, just regular chips from the store. I appreciate when restaurants do not charge more just for fries, seems to me all sandwiches should come with them. Overall it was good, but probably not on my list to frequent again.

This hole in the wall joint has stood the test of time for good reason. They have some of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. The breading was crisp and the meat was so juicy and tender and very well seasoned. It was small but big on flavor. Definitely recommended getting that and a side of the mac and cheese and spooning it on top of the sandwiche. Next up was the durty Chilli mac and cheese. Great combination of spice and heat with the cheese being a phenomenal balance. Now for the main attraction here. The confit wings.....the skin was so crispy like a broasted chicken skin. I would recommend getting them sauced because the confit method doesn't impart a ton of flavor into the meat but it's so tender and fall off the bone. Would come back again.

A historical beauty ! We visited Toledo for a day trip/concert at Frankie's to see Plush, we were lucky enough to find The Oliver House & Maumee Bay Brewing Co. Excellent beer, food & atmosphere, was like taking a time capsule to 1859. Will definately be back we loved Toledo what a wonderful city !!!

Eating at the Oliver house was a great experience. The atmosphere is amazing, staff is friendly, and the food is phenomenal! The duck wings are unique, and the Brew Pub pizza was fresh and delicious. We also had a pitcher of the Fake Juice IPA which I highly recommend.

This was horrible. My niece planned my 50th birthday party for 24 people. We got seated fast it took forever for our appetizers to come out. Our food came out super slow it was wrong, cold, and just downright horrible. I've had bad service before, but this was awful. Half my kids didn't get to eat the other half ate cold food because they were hungry. Spent 200 that night, and it was just awful. The worst part is the manager wouldn't come to our table to speak to us. I know they have two different sides to this restaurant. We were on pub side, i believe.

My husband surprised me with reservations at the Chop House for our 1 year anniversary. One of the many things I love about this restaurant is the very high quality of service you will receive. It gives you an enjoyable experience. Liz W. Was incredible and made our night perfect with the flow of service. Our old fashions were the best I’ve seen in the city! Our steak was incredible and we were surprised with a desert and card from the staff. The view was incredible to look out on the water and see the bridge lights. It’s now our anniversary spot forever.

The place is beautiful. The waitress was not very pleasant. Seemed bothered by anything. I was less than impressed with the steak and the presentation. I ordered it medium. The green beans were good and the chocolate dessert was good.

My husband and I ate here for our wedding anniversary, and let me tell you - we both had the BEST steaks we ever had here! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was spectacular. Roxie made sure we were taken care of, and even brought us a card and truffles for our little celebration. Highly recommend!

This was my husband and my first time eating at Rosie’s. We found the atmosphere very cozy and clean. We were greeted promptly and our order was taken quickly. The house bread was delicious as was the dipping accompaniment. The calamari appetizer was very crisp and a generous portion to share. My house salad was fresh and I really enjoyed the made in house basil vinaigrette. We shared the house made manicotti and they kindly split it without asking us to. It comes with both Alfredo and red sauce. We found the white a bit salty for our palate but really liked the red. The actual pasta was a bit thick but the filling was very good. We will definitely return as the menu has many things to offer we are anxious to try.

Rosie’s Italian Grille is one of my favorite local restaurants! The Chicken Alfredo, Detroit flatbread, pizza, free bread and oil, tiramisu, and brownie are all delicious. The service is typically outstanding, though there was one occasion where we didn’t receive the complimentary bread and oil and had to ask for it. The atmosphere is also very nice.

I just finally went here on Saturday. I live in southeast Michigan and have been wanting to try this place for a long time now. I can say that I was more than satisfied with everything at Mancy's. The food was perfect. I ordered the Delmonico med rare and it was fantastic. I also ordered the salmon dip for an app and it was delicious as well. The ambiance and atmosphere was absolutely perfect. My waitress crystal was a real gem. You will spend about $50+ a person but, to me it was worth it. I will definitely be coming back here soon!

Absolutely beautiful!! My husband and I like to find nice restaurants to enjoy on our date nights. We’ve heard about this one for a while. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary there this past weekend. It was simply amazing. Food was perfect, service was perfect! We will be back!

Unique decor, cheerful atmosphere, excellent steakhouse. We dined at Mancy's to celebrate a friend's birthday, and were sat in a separated room for our party. The service was top-notch, they were very attentive without being intrusive. Our dinners were brought in all together. Most of our party ordered steaks, but there were also seafood, chicken and dinner salads. And our server asked everyone with steaks to slice in the middle of their steaks to ensure they were made as ordered. We had a great night out with friends, and Mancy's definitely added to our evening. Be mindful that this is an upscale steakhouse with prices to match, but their are a few dinner options that are more budget-wise.

We drove from Dearborn, MI down to Toledo, OH for a little road trip ending at J Alexander’s for dinner. The decor is modern and rather dark and plain but the food is delicious! The Steak Burger I ordered Med Well and it was perfect! The grilled onions were hiding under the meat which seems strange but still gave the burger a great flavor. It had that char grilled smoky taste. Yum! I swapped the fries for the smashed red skin potatoes. They were good and a generous portion but a bit on the salty side. Our waitress was attentive but not overly so. Great experience.

I love this place. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. The service is always professional, the atmosphere is excellent (nice music playing, real plants in the washrooms), and the food is consistently superb. I also appreciate that they don't use disposable cups for condiments.

Webster’s dictionary defines perfection as… some sort of nonsense because it does not explicitly say “Dinner at J Alexander’s with Reece as your server.” We all work hard for our money and nights out are sometimes rare and exceedingly special, so when the food or service is not up to par it can be a disastrous let down. Luckily, my wife and I have found the perfect antidote to this devastating disappointment. Simply make a reservation at J’s and request Reece as your server. As fantastic and delectable as the food was, Reece surpassed our expectations even more than the elegant dishes he served us. Pure professionalism with a genuine smile and a sense that he really cared about our satisfaction, instead of just suggesting the most expensive thing on the menu. These types of selfless and empathic servers, or any salesman working on commission, are exceedingly rare and absolutely deserve to be recognized. Joan, the Front of House Manager, was similarly attentive and courteous. After speaking with her, it made complete sense why the service was so excellent because with someone like her training your employees there’s a slim chance you’ll be disappointed in any way. Thank you Reece. We were coming out to celebrate the life of someone who was taken too soon, and your kind and wholesome demeanor helped us enjoy a meal in Roger’s honor. It really meant a lot to both of us, and we both cannot wait to come back and sit in your section again. You seriously cannot go wrong choosing J’s for a meal for any occasion. It is the perfect balance between posh and laid back, and the kitchen staff and bartenders are so darn good you will leave with only one regret… and that is that you aren’t hungry enough to have another meal. Thank you for the amazing experience and and we both cannot wait to see you again, the sooner the better!

Stopped coming because they got rid of the Salmon Dip, it was my favorite. Decided to get take out from here for the first time in 5 yrs. The staff was accommodating and the restaurant was clean. Everything was so delicious ! I'm honestly surprised at how good the brisket, sausage & wings were. We will def be back ! Thank you for a great experience.

The BBQ ribs were awesome! Loved the salad as well. Delicious . The rib tips were a little hard on the outside. But my overall meal was a 4! Just needed more tender tips.

Ribs were good but the side dishes are very skimmy it disappointing for the money you pay.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with a fantastic variety of delicious wines to suit every palate. This was my first time visiting, 2 of my family members are club members so we enjoyed complimentary wine tastings. Although we visited closer to closing time the staff graciously served us. The pretzel bread is a delicious and fun choice!! We enjoyed a variety of dishes including the over the border egg rolls and sweet chili calamari appetizers. For dinner we had a variety of dishes including a salad, short rib risotto and shrimp scampi pasta. Again I want to highlight the staff, whom were all incredibly friendly and accommodating, making you feel right at home. I understand “times have changed” when it comes to quality experience so I always appreciate those that go above and beyond. The romantic ambiance sets the perfect tone for a special evening. Highly recommend for wine enthusiasts and anyone seeking a memorable night out! Lastly- I loved it so much I also joined the wine club!! Can’t wait to return!

Food was delicious, the service was phenomenal, atmosphere was loud but fun. Would definitely come again. Shout out to the wait staff that look like worker ants seamlessly flowing through the restaurant to make sure everyone was taken care of. Reserve your table and enjoy a delicious meal.

I love going here. When you walk in, there is a wine tasting bar in a beautifully dimmed lit open space with their merchandise and many bottles of wine selection.. I am Usually here for special occasions or if i really just crave their eggrolls and wine. The food is TOP Tier. You must sample everything from appetizer to dessert here, or you'll miss out! The staff was insightful on their wine selection and I really like their wine club!! Great perks and very clean place.

I had an early morning meeting for my restaurant training team, and decided to get them Bob Evans catering. And it was all excellent! Awesome amount of scrambled eggs, delicious French toast, crispy bacon, and phenomenal biscuits. I had less people show up for my meeting than expected, and they still ate all the food. And I came in under budget with the selection. Great job, I'm sure due to a great team!

Jump on over to this Bob Evans location. We were just passing through and thought we were stopping for a quick dinner. It took a moment before someone came to seat us, but once we hit the booth, the fun began. Roger was our server, and it was an absolute delight. Around us were several single diners, some who seemed to be regulars, and Roger kept things moving with an upbeat attitude and energizing vibe. Conversation was shared across the section, as was the laughter. It was one of our best meals, and we may be back with the simple hope of coming across Roger again.

It has really gone downhill since the mid 2000's. Food is still pretty good, but they are chronically understaffed and the staff that are there don't seem to care. I saw many many empty tables and our server chatting quite a bit without attending to us. She was very sweet, but not very attentive.
