I hadn’t been to Tony’s for a few years, but was meeting a friend in Findlay and was feeling nostalgic. The menu has been curtailed a bit, which is fine by me. I always get a little concerned when a menu has too many items – thinking how can they do THIS MUCH well? But one of the things they took aways was the one-trip salad bar that you could add to any sandwich or even the bowl of soup. I always remember enjoying the salad bar and so I ended up ordering a dinner at lunch to get the salad bar included. I was not disappointed. I ended up with a 1/4 rack of ribs and waffle fries and a salad bar that I truly enjoyed. It was a much larger meal than I planned on, but we can splurge every once in a while! I ordered the ribs to get a little something along with the salad bar which would have been $15 on its own anyway. I was pleasantly surprised by the ribs and would definitely order them again. It’s all the toppings that are available on the salad bar and the prepared salads that make it truly wonderful. There aren’t many restaurants around that put that much care into a lineup like theirs. Kudos to the management at Tony’s for a consistently good salad bar for YEARS!
