Our first time here, we loved it! The food and drinks were really good and the service was top notch! We had the shrimp and catfish platter! Sooo much food! Cole slaw was really well flavored and salad was nice and fresh! We will definitely be back soon! Thanks White Cap!
**Restaurant Review: White Cap Restaurant** I recently visited White Cap Restaurant, drawn in by its reputation and coastal setting, but the experience was more of a mixed bag than I expected. The location offers a picturesque view, which is easily the highlight of the visit, but the food and atmosphere left much to be desired. Starting with the gumbo, I have to give credit where it's due. It was rich, flavorful, and easily the best thing I tried. The flavors were well-balanced, with just the right amount of spice and a nice blend of seafood and sausage. If the rest of the menu lived up to this dish, it would have been a completely different experience. Unfortunately, the shrimp appetizer was a disappointment. It was essentially just thawed-out baby shrimp thrown into a bowl with no real effort to make them appetizing. They lacked seasoning, texture, and presentation. This seemed like a rushed, careless dish. Moving on to the seafood platter, it was bland and uninspired. The fish, shrimp, and other seafood items tasted like they had been overcooked and under-seasoned, a far cry from the freshness and flavor you'd expect from a restaurant near the coast. Honestly, it reminded me of a lackluster meal from Red Lobster on an off day. The sides didn’t do much to elevate the plate, either, leaving the entire dish feeling flat and unmemorable. As for dessert, the slice of key lime pie was underwhelming, both in portion size and taste. It was barely three bites, which might have been forgivable if those bites had been exceptional, but the pie was just okay—nothing that justified the portion or price. The restaurant itself, despite the beautiful view, has an unfortunate odor that detracted from the experience. The smell was strong and unpleasant, reminiscent of sitting on a hot oyster bed at noon during low tide. It hung in the air throughout the meal and made it difficult to enjoy the food, especially when combined with the less-than-stellar dishes. In summary, while the gumbo and the view are worth a stop, the rest of the menu falls short. There’s potential here, but unless improvements are made to the food and atmosphere, I can’t say I’d recommend White Cap Restaurant for anything beyond a quick bowl of gumbo and a glance at the scenery.
The food was amazing! It came out fast and was hot and fresh. Everyone was so friendly, it gave me a “home” vibe. I will definitely visit again!

Update 10/8- Went upstairs for the first time- the bartenders Toby and Megan were fantastic. The smokey old fashioned was made with Bulleit Bourbon and was nice and a little spicy. The steak tacos were delicious and perfect to share ( 3 in a serving). Had an Irish coffee topped with their fresh bourbon whipped cream for dessert. Excellent. Always great service and a nice, laid back atmosphere. We have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The service is always impeccable. The atmosphere is great. The food is amazing. This time we tried a couple of different dishes like the crab cake and the Royal Reds Pasta. Both fantastic. And no visit is complete without a Smokey Old Fashioned. We let the waiter serve us his special creation.
I really like this place. The food isn't that great, but that’s not why I go here. The steaks, lamb, sweet potato souffle, and fries are good. They're actually awesome. But the reason I go here is because of the people. The servers are friendly. The bartenders are friendly. The people that work here are very friendly. Because of the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff, the customers are very friendly and welcoming. Completely different from Half Shell. Every time I go in here, I spend between $15 to $20 on a drink and I spend about 100 bucks total on food and drinks. For my daughter's birthday I brought a group in and we had such a good time. The people at the bar sang Happy Birthday to my daughter. The server brought her a nice dessert. We didn't really enjoy our food as much, but we ate it. But the steaks are great. In my opinion I think what's wrong with the food is I don't like Rosemary. And Rosemary is on a lot of the plates. I will continue going here just because of the people. We are actually planning on another group outing to The Rack House because we had such a good time. We all agreed this time we're just going to stick with the steaks and good house-made drinks. So, if you want the best Margaritas, steaks, bartenders, and employees, with the best company and you're looking for a good time. Then come here.
We always enjoy our dinners here. The bourbon selection is unbelievable, and all the specialty drinks are very well put together. Appetizers we had, royal red artichoke dip and the Asiago spinach dip, were great! I had the blackened Mahi (fish of the day). I got it "rack house style" and I highly recommend this. It was delicious! My wife had the cabernet braised short ribs and they were fabulous as well

The place was highly recommended by a colleague on our business trip. This quaint and charming restaurant is beautifully located right across the beach front coast of Gulfport, Mississippi. For the appetizer, I ordered seafood eggplants. It's baked, had crispy toppings, creamy eggplants, and seafood on the inside. It tastes so good! For my main course, I ordered the triple tail special, lump crabs, and a wild rice on the side. It has a generous slice amount of fish perfectly cooked paired with the delicious creamy lump crabs on the top. The restaurant table setup was nice with fresh, colorful flowers on a flower base. The restaurant is clean with large windows for one to appreciate the wooded outside, and the view of the ocean front can be visible at the restaurant side porch . The service was good, and the price of food is affordable. I highly recommend this place.
Best filet I've ever had! Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Loved sitting on the front porch and having the beach view while we enjoyed dinner.
I had an outstanding experience at The Chimneys on Friday night. Making a reservation online was easy and I opted to sit on the patio. Morgan was an excellent server. Her service was welcoming, pleasant, knowledgeable, cheerful and she made the whole experience very comfortable. I had the snapper that was featured for the evening. It was absolute perfection. Served piping hot, very flavorful, and tasted very fresh. The Mississippi Mud Cake was decadent and a great treat. Morgan was thoughtful and considerate of pacing for my meal, ensuring that each course came out at the perfect time. The view, surrounded by trees and being able to see the water, made this a great way to enjoy a peaceful Friday night out on my own. Towards the end of my meal I was greeted by the restaurant’s (very polite, well-behaved and not intrusive) outdoor cat who lazily made his rounds on the floor. Overall, a lovely experience. I would highly recommend this as a great place for a romantic date night or a special occasion.

Huge place! So glad we stopped in. The steak was massive and he enjoyed it. Quality shows! My grouper special was tasty. The augratin potatoes were great in idea but the potatoes were solid and hard under that saucy crab deliciousness. Maybe toss first? No clue ha! Everything else was perfect! Update: we've come back several times and the menu is so big that we keep trying different stuff! Love the two for one happy hour too!
I love sullys first time, and it will not be my last shrimp, and grits were immaculate. The servers were great. We were seated within 20 minutes chill atmosphere me personally I highly recommend you'll thank me later.
The steaks were great. I got the USDA prime Ribeye 20oz and my wife for the USDA prime New York strip 16oz. They were cooked perfectly. The appetizers were not something we will order again. The tuna steak was a bit on the dry side. The shrimp were just buffalo poured over shrimp that were ok but nothing to write home about. The sides were ok, not the best but not the worst. We had a couple of drinks that were decently mixed. The steaks really shined overall. Our server was great though, never an empty glass and always checking on us.

Amazing! Kaylee was amazing!! Carley, the Manager was great...Meagan, Darius and Damian (aka Richard) ...oh and of course AJ were so wonderful. They made our experience the best! The food was great and so plentiful! We even had cheesecakes to wrap up the night. We Highly recommend this to everyone!!
I love sitting on the patio here watching the ocean waves. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The kid meals come with a free Frisbee. The margarita was good and the pasta was great. The servers were very attentive to check in on you.
My husband and I had the crabmeat stuffed flounder and the redfish. As an appetizer we enjoyed the beach balls . We were more than satisfied with the food and our server, Serenity was excellent. She was very attentive. I noticed that she serviced all of her tables very well. Thanks for a great experience.

Salute is in my top list of Gulf Coast restaurants. They serve a unique and delectable menu, with entrees ranging from classic Italian to local seafood with a unique Italian twist. My family ordered the Firecracker Shrimp Plate as an appetizer, which was very rich and savory with a hint of creaminess and sweetness. I ordered the daily special, Creamy Gnocchi and Pork. The seared pork goes very well with the savory pasta. Lastly, the Traditional Spaghetti and Meatballs were great. The pasta and meatballs were cooked perfectly, and the tomato sauce wasn't too sweet. All of that for reasonably priced food; you got to give this place a try.
The food was all very delicious here. I gave it 4 stars only because of our half order of fried Calamari! The calamari was delicious but our half bowl was filled with lots of fried pieces of batter and not so much calamari. However, the food in general was amazing. I had the shrimp Alfredo with the creamiest sauce that was delicious. My husband had the chicken Parmesan which was a large portion and he only finished half. One waitress was great and gave us great service. Our seating was nice until a big family sat next to us. They allowed their little kids to run around and scream which kind of ruined the atmosphere. Not the restaurants fault but the parents could have done a better job of controlling their kids. Or maybe the restaurant could implement rules about children and screaming/running around to help out other diners? Regardless, it was a great spot and food was good. I’d like to come back.
Our lunch at Salute! was absolutely outstanding. The $10 lunch specials provide incredible value, and the food exceeded our expectations. We savored the calamari, shrimp gnocchi, and spaghetti with meatballs—each dish was delicious! Salute! is definitely a lunch destination you don't want to miss.

The host and server were extremely nice and helpful!!!! I would go as far as to say they provided us with the best customer service I have had so far on the Mississippi coast!!! The food was also amazing!! Perfectly cooked and delicious!!! I have to say the nachos stole the show, jam packed with flavor!!!!! We will be returning soon!!
A really nice comfortable restaurant serving many excellent dishes. I chose the southern pot roast and a wedge salad. My wife's pecan chicken was sweet and savory. Our server Kristin was especially courteous and friendly. She was on time with food and it was prepared properly and served hot. The wine and cocktails were fairly priced and were well made. I recommend Patio 44 in Gulf Port.
This may be the easiest 5 stars I've ever given. As soon as my party and I, the employees we so kind to us. I don't drink (cuz I'm underage ) but the bar in this place was beautiful. We were greeted immediately and were asked to sit inside or outside. It was late afternoon so we sat outside. There was a fountain outside and it was beautiful. The menu had plenty of good opinions to pick from and I got the steakhouse sandwich w/ fries. Everything was fresh and this may have been the best sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. My dad doesn't give compliments at restaurants often but after we had our food he complained the manager. Everyone was so kind and while we were leaving they offered us chocolate bread pudding on the house.

As someone who loves BBQ and wings they have combined both very well. I went on a Wednesday and ordered half plain smoked and 1/2 tossed in spicy garlic butter. Both were amazing. And on special for only .85 cents a wing!!! (Wednesday Night Wing Night) They also had a decent list of draft beers to choose from. My only disappointment was that there was no live music. As far as i could see, on google or anywhere else; there was no indicator that live music was only on Friday Nights. Bummer. Playlist on was blues, but quiet and not what i was hoping for.
GOOD BBQ!!! We were in town July 2024 & looking for something good to eat & found this place on Goggle. The reviews were good, so we decided to try it out! Well, everyone was right! We walked in & it wasn't really busy, so I was a little apprehensive. We were greeted by a nice young lady & she went over the menu for me. She did explain that the ribs were popular, but everything was also good! I was torn between the ribs, pulled pork, and fried fish. I ordered a 2 meat platter, my daughter had a pulled pork sandwich, and my son had chicken bites. It took about 15-20 mins for the food to come out and everything was ordered and nice & hot. The RIBS & PULLED PORK were DELICIOUS!! I did try all 3 bbq sauces also, and all 3 were different but good. The mac & cheese & potatoe salad were ok. And the sweet tea was just as sweet as I like it! I would definitely recommend this place & will definitely return if I'm back in town. I think they have some form of music performances there also.
I went at a time when they weren’t super busy. I would definitely recommend going earlier in the day if you want burnt ends. I was a little bummed they were sold out when I came. The steak melt was great as well as the baked beans and potato salad. The service was great also. I will definitely visit again.

Half Shell is simply amazing! I've never had less than a 5 Star meal in this restaurant. The food is delicious and the customer service is phenomenal. Everyone in the restaurant (waiters, bartender, and hostess) are friendly and courteous. This restaurant is a Gulfport staple... can't miss. Don't hesitate to dine there ever.
The atmosphere is cozy and dark. They have a lunch menu from 11a-3p. The service was ok. There were only a handful of customers in the entire restaurant. The Royal Red Alfredo Pasta was tasty but it appeared to be shrimp, not royal reds. The boiled Royal Reds appetizer was good. The hush puppies were overcooked but had a good flavor. The seafood gumbo had a good flavor but practically no seafood in it- one or two small shrimp. We have eaten at other locations of this restaurant and feel that this one wasn’t as good as the other ones. Maybe it was an off day.
Great place! The wait was going to be thirty minutes so we sat at the bar. We had our salads before we would have even been sat. Great food. The sweet potato side was so good!

Absolutely phenomenal food. Flavours sensation. We loved the setting and the waiters too. They clearly work hard. Great with allergies too. Food was fresh and very very flavoursome. Clean and tidy setting. Great views too.
Wow! Great music on a Sunday afternoon with a beautiful view. And the best shrimp and grits ever! Mahi tacos and crawfish pasta were enjoyed by our party too. Our server Haven was the best ever. Friendly, great service and food details and recommendations. I will definitely be back!
### Flamingo Landing Review **Rating: 2.5/5** Flamingo Landing offers a vibrant and colorful atmosphere that initially seems promising, especially for a Sunday brunch. However, my recent experience left much to be desired. **Staff and Service:** The staff at Flamingo Landing are incredibly friendly and do their best to accommodate guests, but they are severely understaffed, particularly during the Sunday rush. Despite their best efforts, the service was slow and somewhat disorganized. It took about an hour for our food to arrive, which was quite frustrating. **Food and Drink:** The menu features a variety of dishes, but the food was average at best. While the portions were decent, nothing stood out as particularly flavorful or unique. The bottomless mimosas, priced at $16, sounded like a great deal, but with the bar staff being overwhelmed, getting a refill was nearly impossible. Most patrons were lucky to get more than one mimosa. **Overall Experience:** If you plan to visit Flamingo Landing, be prepared for a wait. The combination of understaffing and high demand, especially on weekends, results in longer than expected wait times for both food and drinks. While the friendly staff tries hard to make up for the delays, the overall experience falls short. If you’re looking for a quick and satisfying brunch, you might want to consider other options.

Great service, food, and view. The shrimp poboy was loaded with fresh hot shrimp. The lunch special was red beans and rice with sausage and fried fish. The fish was the best tasting fish I have had in a long time. All of the other meals were fresh and tasty as well. We will definitely be back.
It's a super great place with excellent service and a wonderful staff to serve you. My experience is that they go the extra mile to serve you, they're pleasant and the food is fantastic. Our personal experience is with a staffer named Megan. The others I've met are awesome as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who frequents the Coast or those who simply live here.
This was our first time dining at Felix's and it is definitely on our list of places to return. When we arrived, there was a 15 minute wait for inside or outside seating. However, the hostess suggested bar seating where there was no wait, so bar it was. We decided to skip the appetizers and go straight to the entrees. My wife ordered a cup of gumbo and a cup of crawfish etoufee. I chose the jambalaya and a side of onion rings. After a short wait, our entrees were served. My wife said both of her choices were very good, but the gumbo stole the show. She tasted my jambalaya but did not care for it. I thought it and the onion rings were very good except the rings were not as hot and fresh as I expected. Service was great except when we ordered dessert to go (key lime pie and pecan pie), it took an inordinate amount of time to get them and close my check. However, both were fantastic but a bit on the small size. Felix's is definitely a place to get your Cajun fix.

Beautiful place, great atmosphere My only complaint, not really complaint, is I was not sure who our server was as we had a few people waiting on us. The teamwork was great, but I think the tip went to the wrong person as that specific person didn't serve anything to us. I hope he at least split it with the correct person(s). But as far as everything else, perfect!!
Their service is fantastic! The food was delicious. Matt our server was incredibly nice, what I really loved is that he told us: I'm your server but anyone can help with anything you need. Other ladies came and served us and helped, asked if there was anything else we needed. It's rare to find that kind of service in a restaurant. Today is my son's birthday and we came in to celebrate him. Matt and captain Al's team thank you for making my boy feel special today.
Thank you Captain Al . What a beautiful place you have here. A great location, perfect spot for friends, family, couples, stag and Hen do’s. Ample parking for free. A beautiful Marina setting where you can experience a stunning sunset. The vibe and ambiance is amazing. Very welcoming. The staff are super polite and professional and the food is absolutely amazing! Our whole table loved all their food and drinks. We could not fault Captain Al’s at all. A huge Thanks to Matt for looking after our table. If you’re ever in the area or in town it’s worth the drive out. The beach ️ is not too far either from here. % recommended. Would most definitely return too. Thank you for our experience. The last night in Louisiana made very special.
